Beautiful square, vastly under-rated and unpromoted, well worth the ferry crossing from Liverpool. The statue of "Futility" by J. Whelan is stunning.

This park is 'good', I saw a dog become a man dog in this succulently green park. Number 4 on my top 10 of Birkenhead just behind the probation centre.

A lovely summers day stroll through the beautiful Hamilton Square Gardens, also known as the Hamilton Square Quarter as the gardens are split into four lovely, well maintained areas by the Queen Victoria Monument in the centre . Considering its near a major town centre you wouldn't think it. The houses aligning the gardens on 3 sides are very reminiscent of London in their design. The flowerbeds around the gardens are beautiful and perfect in shape and colour and full bloom. Lots of benches to just take a minute of two to enjoy the gardens quality. On one whole side of the gardens is the magnificent Birkenhead Town Hall and cenotaph. Stunning architecture in a lovely, well kept area not far from the Woodside Ferry Terminal and Hamilton Square Train Station and buses so perfect for a trip out for a family

Well maintained - beauty in a quiet topographic that lends itself on those sunny days to tranquility - maybe enabling personal harmony. Update: 24/06/21 Morning walks are enhanced by the sight of the goldfinch and blooms that add splashes of colour and fragrance when not intermittent with a certain odour of what I would describe as an illegal substance.People really need other avenues to follow.

Hamilton Square is an iconic centrepiece. The square contains no less than 63 listed buildings. There is also a statue of John Laird.

I am such in love with this gardens that I bought a luxury flat in a building that surrounds them. Definitely worth it and I can never get enough staring at the square from my living room.

Beautiful square in the heart of Birkenhead surrounded mainly by very well preserved Georgian (I think) terraces. There is also a quite striking war memorial in the gardens
