Had a lovely little stop. Reasonable parking charges Β£1.90 up to 4 hours. The grandchildren enjoyed the play/Park area and the ice cream Β£2.50. Be careful feeding the birds if you have young children. The noise from them was a bit scary as they all descend. Will give that a miss next time.

This week I discovered that mushrooms can grow in sand dunes along the beach. This was a totally new concept to me. This species is called Dune Brittlestem. I found these growing on my return from visiting one of Anthony Gormley’s iron men.

Wonderful area to go and explore. The footpaths around the marine lake is flat & ideal for any accessibility needs making this a great place for everyone. Although access onto the beach is via sand dunes so not suitable for everyone. The marine lake is a nice place to stand and watch the sunset. You can get some amazing photos on the right days. Access to the area is super easy on public transport, Waterloo station is within a 10 minute walk and there are multiple bus stops nearby too. Very dog & family friendly.

Love this coastal area. Each time you go for a walk there is always something different to see. I am so lucky to live 5 mins walk from the beach and my children live going for walks or playing on the beach. If your not from the area then I really recommend parking up and just walk and lose yourself in the beautiful scenery. There is plenty of places to park in Crosby, you will to pay and display but its not extortionate like some places are. Please be careful if you venture onto the beaches sinking sand and sandbanks can catch even the most experienced locals and can be dangerous.

Amazing spot with wide open sands, brilliant view and interesting sculpture. Sad to see the lack of cash taking parking meters and access to toilets compromised.

Not comercialised. Toilets, a coffee cart, easy car parking and miles of sand to walk on. A very surreal experience. Our dog thought it was great too! Well worth a visit.

Peace and quiet within cycling distance of the Iron Men and great views across to North Wales. On a clear day the Snowdon range and Great Orme can be seen.

I have wanted to visit Antony Gormly's wonderful sculptures on Crosby beach, for such a long time but I never came up this way until this week, to look after a friend's dogs. The installation entitled 'Another Place' is fabulous, magical, very thought provoking, I loved it. The statues are quite far apart. There are 100 in total. I couldn't see all of them as I have bad back pain and can't walk very far, but what I did see was just fantastic and well worth the wait. There are quite large car parks at either end of the beach but these fill quickly on summer days. The beach itself is approached down several steep steps and is not equipped for wheelchair users. It is sandy and great for families with young children. I don't know how safe it is to swim there, I didn't spot any red flags but the shallows would definitely be fine for paddling. Take a flask and sarnies, there were no nearby shops that I could see. There is a cafe somewhere, but too far from where I parked, to see it.

Great little park, lots of things for the kids to play on, can get busy at times but the kids just get on with it anyway, there are a few lakes outside the playing area with plenty of ducks geese and swans, there's large grassed areas and a path to the river/sea where you can sea the iron men

Loved Another Place by Antony Gormley at Crosby Beach. Timed our visit for low tide and saw the installation of iron men and the amazing sunset. Truly a fabulous experience. Loved the fact that visitors had dressed some of the men in football shirts and a mankini. Love the Brit sense of humour🚹🚹🚹 Overall a brilliant place to visit.

Lovely beach park with good facilities - sports centre, marine lake, cafe, toilets etc. Good paths for walking for those of all abilities. Of course the jewel in the crown is the Antony Gormley installation - Another Place- which brings a haunting beauty to the beach and makes it well worth a visit just by itself

Great for walking the dog, relaxing with kids, and just enjoying a bit of the outside. Car park charges apply by coast guard station, but parking by Crosby baths is free. Great place to see the iron men as well. Food and ice cream van located by coast guard station. Pay to use toilets also there.

Love Antony Gormley so Another Place was a chance to get up close and personal with this art. I love the beach anyway so it was such a great day out.

Great place to have a gentle strolls and breath in the fresh air to help you sleep better :) Wonderful evening and very relaxing place, not to busy considering time of the year, always a great beach to see Antony Gormley β€˜100 sculptors which are across the beach. The beach is each to walk on in most places but do be careful where it’s wet and it’s like sinking sand in parts. Dog / Pram / wheelchair/ friendly. Would of loved to take the drone up to capture the sunset but too many people around to do so, maybe another time.

Nice beach for a walk and you can ride your bike to formby too. There's usually a van selling food and drinks. An ice cream van and toilets charging 40p to use. Parking is cheap at 50p per hour.

  • 5/5 Phil K. 2 years ago on Google
Absolutely brilliant. Lovely views for the family to enjoy. Very windy at times - not too surprising given its location but worth remembering to wrap up warm. Shame not all people using the facilities show equal respect to each other as it is for us all whether walkers, runners and cyclists as should all be able to feel safe.

Had a pleasant visit there. Impressed by the car parking charges which would certainly make a visitor return. Well kept lakes (surrounded by areas for picnicking) with plenty of water based enjoyment for visitors in one and a wild bird area in the other. Saw the rare beautiful black swans there. On the coastal prom admired some of the Anthony Gormley sculptures while the tide was out.

  • 4/5 Geoff H. 2 years ago on Google

I absolutely love this open beach that hosts the most amazing sunsets. It is a great place to walk with your dog and unwind after a hard day's work. The only thing to watch out for are the jelly fish, so just be aware of this if you have dogs

  • 5/5 Nyki b. 2 years ago on Google
First time here, gutted a lot of the statues had been removed for maintenance. Gorgeous and clean, no doubt down to the tireless efforts of the beach angels cleaning up after people. Walked over 6 miles without even realising.

Little gem of a find !...so we had missed our morning ferry πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ..had to kill a few hours and drove around so as to be not too far from the docks. We found thus absolutely lovely place totally by accident. Will be back there for sure with all the family soon. Staff were brilliant, dog friendly, well done x

Beautiful views and lovely walk...make sure you have some change for the pay and display machine..ive forgotten if you can alternatively pay by phone. All the large container ships come in and out of Liverpool.. could have watched that all day..on the day we went it was quite windy, so probably worth taking a warmish layer..and this was summer.

Beautiful place, my photos don't do it justice as I was there only briefly for a business meeting at The Marina who's hospitality was brilliant.

Lovely walk along the marina and up the beach and back. Stopped off for brunch at the double decker bus bar and food place. Food orders only start at 12 noon, somebody told us, but a sign up would be good πŸ‘. Amazing toastie and cuppa, would have stayed for a beer, but bit early for us. The girl in the bar told us they have live music on too! Open April to September, so will definitely be back with family and friends to have a treat. Views spectacular and really dog friendly. Will be back over the summer holidays. 🌟

Nice clean coast, no rubbish around, though no bins or toilet available. Visited on a nice sunny weekday, it was almost empty, easy to find parking spots. Seen a lot of dead jellyfish, very interesting looking ones, be careful with them with dogs or kids.

Only there for 30mins to see some of the statues, beautiful clean soft sand beach. Sunny morning, lots of folk walking dogs, out with kids. Would go back for a walk all the way along if back in the area.

I have been going here for there last 16 years with my dogs it's a rugged place it's not maintained not it's kept you're very few bins for dog or rubbish it's still a lovely place to go if in a wheelchair you can go so far to the promenade to see the view you believe it able it's good place to take it up the kids for a walk all the way to Hightown

  • 3/5 Nicolas I. 1 year ago on Google
Good flat path which went a fair distance. The stretch between the path and sea not very attractive sadly, sand dews on other side were ok .Good walk to blow the cobwebs away, and ideal for anyone with mobility issues I suspect.

  • 3/5 Bob D. 1 year ago on Google
Reception staff very helpful. Beware. Slope into water, extremely slippy concrete covered in algae. Didn't see any caution/warning signs anywhere. Well kept lake and area clean & tidy. Highly recommend water shoes, due to beach side having bottles, cans & disposable BBQs, and rubbish left strewn about.
