Such a great place for a walk, run, a small picnic. Your pet will love the area. Your children will also love it. Many interesting stuff to see and experience:) clean and tidy. Always a pleasure to visit all year round.

Very peaceful and photogenic walk in nature with plenty of natural and historical interest. It is a short walk from the free car park, through shaded woodland to get to Bidston Windmill, which you have to cross the road for. This was my first trip here and was a flying visit but I will be returning, as I intend to see the marshes, the ancient carvings including the Norse Irish Sun Goddess circa 1000 AD and the observatory next time. Recommended.

Great place. Could easily spend a whole day exploring the hills and the forest. Great views. My little one loved running around on the sandstone.

Bidston Nature Reserve is gorgeous - especially when the sun glances off the puddles and makes the sandstone shimmer.

Some nice wooded trails lead up from the car park and take you up to a pretty old windmill. Which is at the top of a hill of rocky paths winding through old green and brown mossy paths. From the windmill you can keep walking along a rocky oath at the tip of the hill and find some stunning views back across to liverpool. The whole place will take a couple of hours to walk and there are some hidden trails and paths I'm yet to discover. Perfect for a light to medium walk with your dog. Also should you want to visit, just opposite the car park for the nature reserve is a free to enter farm with plenty of Ani also, this also has a cafe and restrooms.

A brilliant place to have a walk and wonder about with the kids for hours on end. There are some excellent examples of the Wirral's history here too i.e. the windmill and the Bidston Observatory. Having said that it's a shame Wirral council does not maintain the area to a better standard or actually make something of its heritage.

It's a nice place to walk the dog but I have done it a death and it's not the same as it used to be
