Lots of walks in the woods or up Thurstaston hill, great sea views. The park is really well kept especially the walled garden which was like stepping back in time, beautiful 😍

The best park on the Wirral for a dog walk, family walk and a run. It is maintained to the highest of standards by the rangers ect There is a mixture of well laid foot paths and some more natural off road walking/running areas. The large Feild in the middle is also good for a picnic or just relaxing ect. The parking is plentiful and there is a cafe in the car park for refreshments. The toilets are in the main car park, although I have never used them

Royden Park is one of my favourite places to go walking within Wirral. Its a lovely green space to explore and connect with nature more deeply. Great for the small people as they operate a mini railway for the children of a weekend run by volunteers. I've taken my son numerous times when he was younger and it was always a hit. The walled garden has reopened after being closed for sometime, I imagine it will bloom once again come the summertime. Bentys tearooms on the far side of the park serves a good variety of hot and cold snacks and meals. An ideal location for a pitt stop whilst out walking. Parking is charged by the hour.

Absolutely love this place!!! 40 min drive from Liverpool City centre and such a gorgeous bit of nature!!! The trees are amazing!!! Parking is cheap and well worth it. There's a mini railway, toilets and a cafe although never been. Great walk for the dog in all weather! Can get a really muddy in the winter but the most gorgeous in the autumn

Beautiful place for a leisurely walk. Was very busy the last time I went which resulted in a lot of traffic backed up. I've been on quieter days & spent hours walking hardly seeing a soul. Jay's & Jackdaws sighted, lots of lovely autumn colours right now!

Lovely park with lake and various paths that lead to thurstaton common and Irby Quarry too. Has a toilet block on site, coffee shop, ice cream can sometimes there too. Has a miniature train that runs at certain times and also a walled garden. Parking is payable but quite cheap.

Took grandchildren for a walk in the park and a go on the little train. Didn't have to wait too long to get on the train and staff very friendly

Royden park features woods, a lake, and plenty of sandstone climbs. However, the park is very popular, especially with dog walkers, so it is best to visit early in the morning if you are looking for solitude and clear paths.

Really nice park, lots of woodland, hills etc to explore. Woodpecker trail is great and the train looked good fun to, we didn't have a go this time. Parking reasonable. Toilets by the entrance are pretty grim and have 2 steps into the men's so wasn't ideal with a pram. Cold water, no soap or anything to dry with. Disabled was out of order. Will definitely be back over the coming months.

Large area covering Royden park & Thurstaston Hill. Thors rock local landmark, sandstone escarpments with views over river Dee & Welsh hills including Moel Fammau in the distance. Plenty of paid £1 per hour parking easy access. Wheel chair access available with specially constructed paths. Very muddy though from Autumn through to winter, leave your white trainers at home. Cafe by main cafe & mobile cafe at times. Benty Farm cafe also open at times.

Royden Park is a beautiful place to visit with some fantastic views of the estuary from its highest vantage points. There are many different paths to choose from for your walk, including wooded areas. There are also two options for food and drinks "The Courtyard (formally Barking Cafe) or Bentys Farm.

Beautiful park, woodlands, and walled gardens. There is a small cafe there also selling hot drinks, cakes ,snacks etc. In the woods there's a miniature railway that's volunteer run during the summer. A lake with fishing available. There isn't a play area there and the toilets are in dire need of updating and cleaning.

Took the Grankids & our puppy for a big walk, even though a heavy downpour came we were sheltered under the trees and the puppy loved chasing squirrels. Only disappointment was there were no undercover seats for a coffee and a snack so we had to come home. They really should cover up the cafe and make more covered seating available especially as the council workers took one. Table over themselves.

Great place to wander about with or without dogs. Very varied scenery, with open grass near to main car park (pay and display) and wooded area on left of entrance drive. Here you can walk down to Frankby Mere and then follow the path through to Thurstaton Common. From the main car park you can venture through the woods and on to Thor's Stone. If you go past this, you can continue walking up to Thurstaton Hill that gives you tremendous view across Wirral and the North Wales coast. A great place to visit.

Roydon park is fabulous for Dog Walker’s. Especially Dog Walker is with dogs who have been socialised and a pleasant to be around. No scallies with horrible American pit pit bulls in this place that’s why my friend and I attend here with my guide dog. You feel safe walking through the forest and the fields. There are also told it’s fair and a nice little outdoor CAFE Selling (what used to be before pandemic) reasonably priced food. The prices have increased exponentially and I don’t think they’ll be many regular customers at this rate. The staff are lovely polite and helpful. The park is lovely and well kept and meet. The car park has one or two blue badge parking areas. We come here fairly regularly it was always very pleasant visit

This return to Royden Park was a trip down memory lane of the happy times with my 1st husband. The trees and grounds are still just as lovely, awesome and in quiet places the Squirrels are still there. From observing the people passing by, well .. everyone was happy, even the dogs sniffing ar all the exciting smells. Royden Park has a special place in my heart and I hope visitors will respect it for the generations to come.

Enter wide open spaces, stroll through the wooded areas, walk around the pond - it's a beautiful place, with something vote everyone. Must be, because lots of people visit, dog walkers walk and families have picnics, kids play. It's one of the nicest places in the Wirral. You DO have to pay to park now, though...

A good spot to take the dog, the toilets are in working order but the cafe is currently close. There is a mobile coffee trailer in the car park, the prices are fairly high but the coffee is good.

Always a great little walk. Parking is paid, but you can park on Sandy Lane right outside. Nice duckpond, railway for kids (when it opens), walled garden (when its open). Easy walk to Thor's Rock and look over to the River Dee.

Lovely park in Frankby with a walled garden, miniature railway, fields, ponds, woodland and carpark. Great for walking and beside Thurstaton Common, Irby Heath and Irby Quarry. It's possible to spend at least 2 hours here, just walking around the park, heath, quarry and common.

Always lovely to wander through here & be lost in the wonder of natural beauty. A good walk & plenty of areas to roam but remember to pay enough for parking time as time can run away from you through the sheer enjoyment of being outdoors.

Nice high point on the Wirral giving views of the Dee & also across the Mersey to Liverpool. A large Sandstone rock (Thor’s Rock) for the kids to climb all over somewhere in the middle!

By far the best place on the Wirral for dog walks and the such. Park your car up and get lost finding Thors Rock. Great place.
