Lovely place. Clean and tidy. Nice for a walk & adventure. Tide was out, so I had a fly of my paraglider on the cliffs, excellent!

A great place to unwind. Nice relaxing atmosphere with a good stretch of beach. Some nice cafés a cycle shop, visitor center as well as a holiday park all near by. Toilets are also available in visitor center, including disabled access if you need that. Paths around are of good quality mostly, access to the beach is via steps, again a good standard typical for beach access, with a rail most of the way up or down. Good carparking in station road. Don't cost too much. Machine although often refuses my card, no idea as it works every where else. Fall back is cash or pay on line / just park app, location code 120864. Charged an extra 2% which is 2p per £1. Still you get a receipt and you can extend your booking when away from the carpark.

A popular natural attraction for all the family. You can walk the dog and cycle along the path that leads to West Kirby. There are also a collection of benches and picnic tables along the way, so it's a great place for a family day out.

We came here for a walk and thought the coast would be the best place to cool down. We weren't wrong. It was beautiful here and we will definitely be back again.

Stunning large park area. Beautiful and picturesque views, a good walking path and barbecue areas with tables in the picnic area, and a cafe (at the moment it was closed, but I think because it's probably winter, and it opens closer to summer) by the lake with ducks . It has excellent facilities and is dog friendly. There are many benches scattered around the park to relax, where you can admire stunning views of the beach and even the sunset. From here you can walk down to the beach and walk along the shoreline and numerous trails. There is a cycle path to West Kirby or Neston where you can even walk. Spent a wonderful day at Thurstaston Beach. We managed to go for a walk before sunset; it was excellent warm weather without rain or wind. A great place to spend a day with the family, with lots to explore, from lovely countryside walks to walks along the beach. We heard that there is a visitor information center with toilets, but we didn’t need it and didn’t understand where it was. There is ample paid parking.

Wirral country park is a lovely park to park around. It has Flisseys cafe just down the road. Then you can walk off the amazing lunch either along Thurstaston Beach or around the Wirral country park which is flat with designated paths around duck ponds, lakes and around the cliffs. Then you can have sweeping views down to the beach and even the sunset while sitting on the benches if you wish. If you want more exercise there is a cycle path to Kirby or Neston too.

Beautiful country park with amazing view of sea from cliffs. Ample parking spaces available for visitors. Very calm place which make you close to the nature. There is access to the Thurstaston beach, where you may walk and enjoy with children who love to get wet.👍🏻

A Beautiful country park with spectacular views over the dee estuary to the Welsh coast. Great place for a day out with the family, with lots to explore, from lovely countryside walks, or a stroll along the beach. There is a very informative visitor centre with toilets, and the cafe on Station road always give a warm welcome. Highly recommended

Terrific area of natural beauty. This strip of parkland and estuary is an essential place to visit. From the car park (about a £1 an hour card only!) you are about a minute away from the visitor centre. This has excellent facilities, and is all dog friendly. From here you can get down to the beach, walk numerous trails in the country park, or even follow the disused railway line. There's bike hire and numerous picnic areas with bbq facilities. Highly recommended!!

Fantastic Caravan Motorhome club site, Wardens are brilliant, we arrived on Friday, around 1.15pm We received a very warm welcome, both wardens were very informative and very helpful (sorry I was not sure which couple they were) thank you so much for the excellent customer service. The site is beautiful and kept immaculate by all 4 wardens, keep up the fantastic work! Love the way the site as pitches in what I would describe as separate avenues. We were lucky enough on our first visit to have a prime view of the Dee Estuary, and wow what a view! I must say that in the 21 years we have been caravaning (with the caravan club, I might add) this is far the best view we have had. We will definately be re visiting in 2024

Quite disappointed that you have to pay to park here now on an app. I don't want to download an app whilst on a walk to pay for parking. Couldn't access the beach near the car park then drove down to the old car park by the ramp and its all blocked off with rocks. I understand the cliffs are being protected but don't understand why paying for parking is now necessary. I left and went to West kirby instead.

What an amazing place to visit. You can do a lot of things, there is a place for BBQ where you can do it safely, 2 big bins just around the corner with some bin bags as well so everyone can keep the place tidy. The beach is a few steps away, lovely sunset and a great place to relax on the beach ⛱️. There are 2 car parks that you need to pay for, the actual park doesn't close at all so you can stay as long as you want, however the shops and toilets close at 04:30-05:00 pm. Kids will enjoy it a lot. You can also walk around the place.

Lovely place for a walk with amazing views. There's dedicated place for bbq and eating but will require your own grill. Our favourite place to take walks with a dog.

A fantastic place to visit. Wheelchair friendly walks along a flat route. Country Park with educational information inside, walk down to the estuary. Toilet facilities clean and well maintained. Parking onside with reasonable charges....must use card payment for parking as the machines do not accept cash. Can spend a couple of hours or take a picnic bbq to use the online bbq areas

Nice location. Nice clean beach. Lovely cafe and toilet facilities. Even a bike hire. Pay and display car park. Be nice to visit in the spring/summer months to see how busy it gets pretty quiet in February.

A great time at Wirral Country Park Caravan Club site. Lovely to cycle here and great views across the River Dee into North Wales. A couple of great Cafes too, @Flissy's. Great for lunch and snacks

Lovely walk around the fields and pond, then walk down to beach. Gorgeous ice creams at the Whistle Stop Cafe.

A beautiful part of the Wirral offering extensive views accross the River Dee Estuary. There is a beach ideal for sun bathing, though not really great for building sand castles with young children. Large area of mud flats ideal for wading birds. Cafe selling ice creams near car park which is very cheap ( £1 for two hours).

First visit and will be back for more in the coming months. Very reasonably priced parking at Station Rd. £1 for up to 2 hours or £2 for more than 2 hours. 2 coffee shops close to the car park. Duel use Foot/cycle path very flat ideal for people for all abilities.

Lovely part of the world. Lots of parking, 2 cafes with toilets and car park is cheap.

Lovely countryside walk with awesome views of across the River Dee. A cafe & caravan park on site plus, if you prefer the beach, then there is a managed pathway to the beach below (it's quite steep - so remember - what goes down, comes back up !) Pick a good day - otherwise, take your wellies - it's not much fun in the mud !! Warning !! The first sleeping policeman CAN whack your sump - drive slowly !!! ( Left into the pay car park,by the cafe) Another warning - this tourist spot is very well populated at the best of times, soooo, if you don't like people &/or dogs - don't go 👍

A great place to visit and in easy reach of those from Merseyside. Nice easy walking, scenic views and can follow the entire Wirral Way if your feeling like a longer walk.

  • 4/5 Kieran S. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent place to catch a breath at during a bike ride. An amazing view, over the beach, of Wales in clear sight. Best seen around summer time, but equally, winter time offers some quiet areas to appreciate the landscape in peace.

Really lovely spot to look over the estuary, parking can be quite busy on sunny days, but there usually are spaces. Lots of grassy areas for playing or picnics, and a lovely walk down to the beach (quite steep in places). Well worth a visit.

Excellent well kept park with lots of history. The visitor center is somewhat dated now but still has plenty of stuff inside. Bike hire is available on site and the cafe inside is also excellent.

Lovely country park with views over the Dee. Pay and Display car park that accepts cards and a delightful social enterprise cafe. Access to the beach via steps.

Lovely place to look out over the expanse of the Dee Estuary and walk down the steps to the beach and shoreline.

  • 5/5 Colin P. 11 months ago on Google
It's been years since I visited here, the views are still as beautiful as ever. It was nice to see improvements to the cafe, the visitors centre/activity centre that was there when I was in school is another cafe, I'd rather see that than an empty building! I hope the council uses the new revenue from the parking to keep improving this Wirral highlight!

Spent a wonderful afternoon at Thurstaston Beach. We were able to go for a walk with the dog. Great for a picnic too plenty of benches dotted around. We were able to erect the gazebo and have and have our picnic. From the top there are lovely views of the beaches. I stayed at the top of the cliff and didn't actually go down, but the family will be returning to try a spot of fishing.

Not much going on but it's nice. Great ice-cream shop/café over the way with massive scoops for reasonably priced ice-creams. Random terrapins in the pond too
