What can I say? Wonderful park to walk, run, jump and skip. We use it to walk our puppy as do countless others. Dedicated dog free area (fair size) if you choose to avoid them. The bear pit is nothing spectacular at the moment. A tree has fallen in it I think. The bluebell woods was amazing whilst the bluebells were in bloom. My favourite bit in the beech groove, which is spectacular. Cathedralesque. Fabulous woodland walks. Walk over the cliffs looking at and beyond the Mersey. Mimosa cafe on site, which is slightly over priced. But on a sunny day, the pub overlooking the Mersey is perfect for refreshing. Access to three playing fields. Car park is pay and display @ Β£1 per hour maintained by the council. Most seem to park for free on the street. It is a wonderful urban oasis to get lost in for the two hours or so. Longer with a picnic would be wonderful on a sunny day.

Nice walk out. Kids always love the Bear Pit and finding out about the history of it. Looks to be some new routes to take as well, though we didn't walk them last time.

I cycled through Eastham Country Park. This is truly one of the Wirral’s hidden gems. There is a wooded area which runs alongside the Mersey. There is lots of history in the area as there was once an ancient ferry crossing. The views from the park are fantastic. You can see out to Liverpool and, in the other direction, upriver towards Runcorn. The park is great for cycling and walking. There are some pubs and an ice cream shop which only seems to open during the summer. The park is quite accessible by train and isn’t too far from Birkenhead.

Lovely park with mix of woodland, river views and open grass area. Great for dog walking or taking the kids. Look out for the old bear pit and parts of rides from the days this area housed a fair grounds

Good place to start the Wirral South East cycle route. Easy access from M53, J5, parking, toilets, picnic spot and good direction signs enroute.

A lovely historic location, situated on the banks of the River Mersey just over the river from Liverpool Airport, and at the end of the Manchester ship canal. Eastham Country Park sits on the site of an old ferry crossing of the Mersey, and was formerly a pleasure gardens in the early twentieth century. The remnants of both can be found if you walk along the waterfront and through the woodland in the area. The Tap pub is a popular destination for bikers, but welcoming to anyone in need of refreshment. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Absolutely loved this place. Felt like I was on holiday with the lovely pubs and eating place near the river. The food at the cafΓ© was nice and even my dog was treated to sausages and ice cream. A great place to take the dog. I even managed to take my mum around in a wheelchair.

Visited Eastham as my Grandfather lived there. His funeral was in the Church there. Went to the cafe next to the Eastham Country Park for lunch. Views across the Merseyside to Liverpool are superb.

Nice walks through the woods. You can see remnants of the old victorian amusement park including the bear pit and fountain and very close to the Eastham ferry site which overlooks the Mersey and Liverpool. A beautiful spot. Lots of parking and a lovely cafe on the side of the car park and 2 pubs both doing food. Loads to see all round.

Nice place to wander around a great view of the River Mersey. Bring a bag of nuts with you and sit on a bench looking over the river and you'll soon be surrounded by squirrels. Watch out for the parking fees though, they can be expensive.

Love Eastham, have been coming here since I was a baby (46 years) It's a shame the rangers station hasn't been open to look at the bird hide for years and the bear pit is no longer accessible, this is why I dropped a point. There are mainly responsible dog owners, although I was jumped on by a dog on my last visit. Sometimes it can be dodge the doggy but there is a large area which is fenced and gated dog free zone if you want to let the kids run round without fear of being jumped up at or falling in pooh. There is a nice cafe if you can get a table, the public house The Tap is a great bar or just sit with an ice cream out of the old ticket office looking over to liverpool watching ships pass and planes landing.

A lovely forest oasis in the midst of Eastham! Quiet walks, a lovely cafe and brilliant views across the estuary to Liverpool.

What a lovely little village and Country Park. The park is deceptively large with loads of paths between the trees. Lots of birds, squirrels, bugs and mud (when it's been raining) . Did you know there was a bear pit ? Wooden looping rollercoaster ? Water slide ? This place used to be a mini Blackpool Pleasure Beach back in the day. Obviously, the old stuff is gone but it's fascinating and a great place to walk with or without a dog. There are a few large open fields if you fancy a picnic or a game of football with the kids. Grab a coffee/cake at the little place off to the side of the car park, or a beer (or two) at the pub or an ice cream/soft drink/snack on the other side of the road.

Want to get up close and personal with some squirrels, then this is the place for you. Don't forget your nuts they just love some peanuts in there shells (no salted or dry roasted)

What have I missed for over 60 years ! Just 25 mins from home and my first visit. What a lovely area. Views across the mersey River towards Liverpool & John lennon Airport. A well kept park with ancient trees. CafΓ©s, two pubs and a car park that cost max Β£2 for over 2 hours. Public toilet by the ranger visitor centre. Very impressed, and, no doubt, more to discover

I go here nearly everyday, dog friendly, it's not the best path for prams but I get mine round and I see other people do too. There is a field at the top and some benches dotted around. Also there is a very old zoo that u can look around they use to keep bears there, all the information is on plaques. There is a car park with a shop/cafe and toilet but I've never used them. You have to pay for parking but you can park on the street before it and its free, with a walk way straight into the woods.

Lots of trails to explore with open field spaces too lots of other dog walkers mostly friendly. Pay and display car park and toilets. It's a shame they haven't restored some of the Victorian zoo parts would be amazing to see like the fountain and bear pit and gardens

I love bringing my French bulldog Spud dog here, the wide open spaces allows for him to socialise with other dogs and people. He loves running down the mud paths and through the trees. I remember coming here as a kid to see the bear pit, its definitely worth a visit. This is still there which is amazing too, when we last went there were loads of wooden forts built too.

Been going since I was a kid and now take my own children. Nice little walks and the squirrels are so friendly you can hand feed some of them.
