We went here to celebrate the selling of our house. We have been before and had excellent service and food. Tonight it wasn’t as good but we were still happy until we had the main course. It said plum sauce but it tasted of aniseed which I especially do not like and would not have chosen had it said that. The head waiter came back and said it was plum sauce and it was just my taste but as I was here a couple of months ago with the same dish and it tasted utterly different. At that point a customer came over to us and started to give us hassle saying she was a food critic and we didn’t know what we were talking about. The waiter offered to bring the chef over and we said fine. We had another couple of courses and were then presented with the bill. We asked where the chef was and were told he had gone home. At this point the the two customers who has been commenting came over and one grabbed my partner by the neck and said we had to pay. At no point we had said we would not pay. At the same time the female snatched my phone as I tried to call the police and walked out of the restaurant with my phone . It was obvious the waiter knew who these people were and that they were somehow associated with the restaurant. Despite both being assaulted we paid our bill. The waiter said we could go without paying but we paid it because that’s not who we are but will NEVER eat in that restaurant again and I would advise anyone who doesn’t like a course to be careful what they say! The police are investigating

Great food,great service, sadly you cant choose which Vile loud mouth people you sit next to who love their own shallow importance.

Not good I'm afraid and I can see why the restaurant only had a couple of other tables booked on a Saturday night. This isn't fine dining. The food was style over substance and not worth the money. They were unable to control a very drunk couple arguing and debating very loudly throughout our entire meal. We paid in full including the service charge and got out never to return.

Main courses and wine were excellent. Staff are friendly and service is very good. Sadly the starters, scallops and the egg were just ok. Needless to say we had a fantastic evening and would recommend

We used Nova outsiders for a wedding party and had an absolutely amazing sterling experience from the first planning meeting to the last finishing off of left-over business. Could not have been better. Thoroughly recommended without reservation. The evening in question posed particular challenges as it was a veritable storm shaking our marquee with 60m/hr winds and everyone just calmly continued which was very helpful.

Been here several times. Never disappoints. Good food, simply cooked and reasonably priced.

Awesome place with outstanding cuisine and service! Best lamb, pink inside, so juicy and tasty, outstanding UK cheese selection, delicious scampi. We enjoyed our desserts, chocolate cake and tasty panna cotta. Superb experience!

Meals are very good, but, a little too much salt in the Venison sausage, should have ordered more vegetables. Woodland mushrooms where excellent. Staff where really friendly and attentive. would be happy to eat there again 😊👍

This is our absolute favourite restaurant on the Wirral. The food is always fantastic and no matter what we order we are always delighted with our meal. All the staff are great and always efficient, happy and polite. Moyo is a very talented Chef indeed. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic meal in the North West.

I had high hopes sadly not impressed. Interior design nice . Food not so. I ordered Market fish sea bass and it had bones in it , Put me off. Squid ink overpowered the dish. Every one in there was over a certain age!! Added service charge which I’m not keen on id rather leave that myself Attended for a special occasion and didn’t live up to it. Disappointed 😔

Had a really great dining experience at Nova this week. First time there but will certainly be returning. Everything was perfect!

Had a lovely evening. Thoroughly enjoyed the seven course set menu. Definitely recommend it. Some of the service staff need a bit more time to perfect their style and skills. But don't let that comment put you off. Overall, great value for delicious food and wine.

First time visit to Nova and wow! One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. I can't fault anything. The professionalism of the staff was exemplary and the food was divine. Highly recommend.

Food was pretty good would visit again

1st experience OMG food was amazing. The yuzu chocolate fondant tart was something i have never experienced before. Its a must.The service was second to none, so attentive. There was a group of loud ladies sitting nearby. We didnt complain but the restaurant manager took it upon himself to knock off the drinks off our bill. We gave them a well deserved healthy tip for the staff to make up for it. Absolutley going back as often as we can. Good luck and support your locals.

Food and service excellent. Only gave 2 stars as one of our party given a biscuit containing gluten. Had stated in advance Gluten intolerance. Was quickly removed but not before a bite taken. A very unpleasant night for her followed.

Unfortunately did not take any photographs of the food, to show how amazing they where. However, the tasting menu (which is available every day and changes regularly) was absolutely divine. This is a beautiful fine dining establishment and we went there for a birthday celebration. The whole taster menu was beautifully presented and the waiter and waiterresses were knowledgeable on the dishes. Even the new staff did really well. Welcoming, warm, calm and friendly atmosphere. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended.

Hi, Having read the reviews I had high expectations. We ordered the tasting menu, I am not sure if there has been a change of chef. However, I have to say the standard of the food was very poor. I am not sure if the food is tasted before it is served, either way the management need to take ownership, it was a very big disappointment. Especially with a bill of £180.

Really nice food and good service as well. Had a pretty Interior to the restaurant as well which was nice bit on the dark side though. Would eat their again.

We had been wanting to try for a while, so decided to go for my wife's birthday. Lovely little touches, bread, amuse bouche, and petit fours after dinner. We brought our own cake, but they were kind enough to chop the additional strawberries and decorate them on the top. Great service, we can't wait to return. Excellent quality food at very reasonable prices.

The head chef (Richard) surprised me with a tasting menu... I found myself eating with relish food that I thought I did not like. Simple food cooked well, I was blown away by some of the textures and flavors that was presented to me. Well, chef my taste buds thank you. The waiting staff were attentive, courteous and friendly. I will come again.

Been visiting for approximately 9 years, maybe longer. Consider this the best restaurant in Wirral for the overall experience of quality, service, setting and affordability. The staff have also been excellent over the years. Hope you guys survive the impact of Covid so we can enjoy the great food again soon. This is a place that deserves your money.

Excellent food and service. Have eaten here numerous times and have never been disappointed! Have seen recent report in the echo and I am confident there would have been a genuine reason for this because I know their standards are extremely high. I personally will be ignoring this review and look forward to Nova re-opening after lockdown.

First time visitor after moving to the area. All I can say is WOW. The food is absolutely amazing with great service. I had one of the nicest steaks in a long time. Highly recommended.

A fantastic champagne Afternoon Tea. A wide choice of both savoury and sweet and a bag for the leftovers! Efficient and friendly service. Can't recommend it highly enough!
