I went to New Brighton for a day out and what better way to enjoy the seaside than fish and chips. I wanted to sit in and this looked OK. I had the "fishy special" under a tenner and you get a hot drink too. Service was OK and food was nice, the seats were a little hard but OK as it was a themed restaurant. You can sit outside if you like . It is what is and not too far from the sea

Lovely place! Regarding its location cheap. 3 meal + soft drinks £16,50! Like it's old style. Free car parks all over - though it can be extremely busy. Terrace option. Toilet for customers. Nice, helpful staff. I had fish and chips today, and staff recommended a curry sauce what was really delicious! Food was on the table within 10 minutes, piping hot, fresh food. Definitely visiting them again soon, and highly recommended place for a quick meal 🙂

Always have a good bacon and eggs on toast a cup of tea and sometimes an apple pie and ice cream or custard. The Sunday roast should not be missed. The famous frofee Coffee is lovely but let it chill for a wee while before consuming. A friendly atmosphere with lots of good people. Thank you seaside.

The Seaside was recommended to us and we can see why. 2 Sunday Roast, Fish and Chips, Sausage, Egg Chips and beans with a pot of tea for 4 all under £30. If you go for the Sunday roast many people have the children one as its big enough, the adult one is a big meal. The staff are very friendly. We'll worth a visit.

Excellent fish and chips, very good value overall. If you're happy with a cafe, and not expecting a 'posh' restaurant with corresponding pretensions and prices (which we were), then this place makes a very good option. Would happily return.

Used to always come here with family. But not anymore. Came today and very disappointed. First of all we could only sit in one area as the other half was closed. There was dirty tables everywhere and food all over the floor. They don't provide high chairs so my sister had difficulty feeding her child as he wouldn't keep still sat on the bench. The food was cold. rubbery. and scrappy chips. Used to get lovely chippy chips. We left the majority of the food. I had to eat some of mine only because I'm 7 month pregnant and needed food. Otherwise I wouldn't have bothered either. The lady serving needs to learn to smile and not give dirty looks just because my nephew was crying towards the end of he's horrible meal he couldn't eat.

First time visiting the area, lovely place for the Family, but I'd never visit this cafe again!!! Rude staff serving because they got our order wrong. The quality of the Breakfast was extreamy poor, my family spent £30!!, my daughter was upset because the beacon was so fatty and the toast was laughable!! Virtually white soggy bread, this place should start to realise they have an impact on people's experience on Holiday, good luck if you take the Gamble of eating here 🤬🤢...

Seats are wooden and hard prices are cheap but the food is not cooked from fresh. Puddings are nice. Its a no frills no nonsense cafe ok for lower than average pricing.

Haven't been for a long time , bit disappointed the cafe looking a bit tired , food adaquete ,cooked to order but not good quality . It needs to be given a good clear out keep some of the ferry's seating but table and chairs are more practical , staff are good and helpful , but it needs a revamp

I couldn’t believe the quality & value of this lovely place. Roast dinner like a feast & the banana split was a piece of art. Thanks guys for making us come back next week! Can we give 6 stars?

Old-fashioned British seaside caff, much-loved by locals. Good value for money, and a favourite haunt of local bikers of a certain age. Dogs will have to wait outside, though.

The front if house staff should go on a hygiene course, in fact I doubt the kitchen staff have been on one and it's a legal requirement. Cleaning the seat and table with a cloth which has already cleaned many things and then wiping a customer's cup filled with coffee to drink is disgusting and giving the customer all the germs attached to the cloth. Please get your staff trained properly.

On the day we only stopped for a drink but the food being served to others looked nice. Staff were helpful.

We enjoyed a generous and tasty Sunday lunch. Friendly staff in a traditional seaside cafe. Go there!

Excellent quality food and friendly service. Just one slight criticism I think their chip portions should be larger. I will definitely visit them again in the future.

We really like going to The Seaside Cafe. They kept us going through lockdown with cups of coffee to takeaway and we love our takeaway roast dinners. Just had lunch there today. It's always busy, but it is so reasonable, relaxing and friendly

Great no nonsense caff. Lovely food served by friendly and helpful young staff. Highly recommended if you are in New Brighton and want to support local businesses

Great value traditional cafe. Huge menu from sandwiches to roast dinner. Happy memories of taking my daughter from when she was 2 year old, there today and she's 28!

Food was nice when arrived fish n chips was good, partner had a roast which was good enough for a cafe. Hardly any gravy and was a mix up with her order. Went to the wrong table, then arrived. Staff a little confused from orders from kitchen. I've noticed the food isn't as high standard as it was years ago, use to love this place but now it's just ok, not the best not the worse. Plenty of condiments ,. The cakes on display by the till could be sealed off customers and staff talkin over them esp whilst covid is still around. The menu is well catered for all needs,. I'd still visit there but not as often.

What a fantastic cafe. We had a lovely breakfast. The cafe actually had gluten free bread which makes all the difference to myself as I have a real problem with wheat.Cannot fault the staff who were friendly and efficient. Food arrived fairly quickly as well. Keep up the good work. Highly recommend to all.

From the minute we walked in we were welcomed by friendly staff. Noah choose kids burger and chips I had an all day breakfast, it took about 10minutes to reach out table and it was busy at fill capacity and a table was not empty for long. The food was piping hot and delicious. The roast dinner looked and smelt divine. We will be back.

👍 This is one of the closest pubs to home but I haven't eaten here for years. Gave it a try on a sunny Tuesday evening and it was pretty good! The pub wasn't too busy but there were more people in than I expected on a Tuesday, creating a nice atmosphere. The staff were all super friendly and helpful....

👍👍 Had to downgrade our review unfortunately. Went back tonight for the steak night. The food was tasty but we were asked how we wanted the steaks cooked, we both asked for medium rare however I would say they were well done and quite dry. I could have complained but they were edible. If the chef can't...
