Their sushi used to be outstanding but lately they barely put any salmon in the maki rolls and they're a lot smaller than they used to be. Also in my last order they've tried to scam me by giving me less sushi that I paid for. Instead of giving me 5 nigiris and 5 makis as stated in Just eat for the Simply salmon box, they gave me 4 of each and I had to complain. I am never going to yo sushi again

I am 31 years old. I have been to many places in my life. This is the first time I have encountered such disrespectful staff. I will never forget this for the rest of my life. I went to pick up an order and encountered a lot of racism. I'm asking this company, is this your company policy towards middle eastern people? Are you instructing your staff to treat middle easterners like animals? If you have some respect for people you will not go here again. Do not waste your money and time by helping these people.

I love Yo! Sushi but this branch was so disappointing. Service was kind of okay but food was not like in any other branch i have ever been. Quality of food 2 out of 10,honestly waist of money. I will recommend any other branch just not this.

Beware of double charges! I went to eat at this restaurant today and the service is the worst. They treated me like a thief. I had salmon sushi and a slightly spicy sushi called 'dynamite roll', both for about £10. When my friends and I finished our sushi and were leaving the restaurant, a woman who looked like the manager with lots of tattoos stopped us and asked us to pay. But we had all ordered online and paid by card, so what was this about? She said that the plate of sushi you ate was pink, so you must have taken it from the lane, so you had to pay for it. But I only ordered two sushi and one of them, the dynamite roll, arrived on a pink plate. So it was not my fault and I insisted that I did not take the sushi from the lane, but they didn't believe me at all and kept intimidating me to pay. I showed them the evidence with my payment information (information that I had already paid £10), but they still didn't believe me. Finally, they said something like I forgive you this time. There was no apology at all. I will never go back and I am sure you will all be treated as a scam too, so please be careful.

Sushi was overrated, taste wise was pretty average at best. Cool for the conveyor belt experience only.

Great service, food was exceptional, we did have to remind them of a couple of orders missed but to be fair we had so much food, as we all enjoyed it so much, that it was hard to keep up! Once we'd spoken to them, they quickly cooked our missing dishes with an apology. And then we ordered more! Would recommend to book, would definitely go back.

Yo! Sushi, in Liverpool One, is always an enjoyable experience. For one, I'm vegetarian and they always have a varied selection of interesting stuff for me to choose from; and two, you get your food pretty quick. At my latest visit, I had one of the best items ever. The 'Nourish Bowl', it was packed with interesting veggies (Edame Beans, Sweetcorn, Seaweed, Avocado, Broccoli and Coleslaw) on a bed of Spinach and Sushi Rice. It was fresh, tasty and filling. But, it is only available until 31st January so hurry or you might miss out. Highly recommended... and there are also meat and fish varieties as part of the 'Bowl' options.

Took my son out for a birthday meal as we both love Yo!. This wasn't the best experience we've had with them as we didn't get all the dishes we ordered and service began and ended with being seated. Food was delicious, though, and we did get a refund for the dishes that didn't arrive.

Love this place - new covid service is a bit wierd though & unless you are hot on your smart phone, be prepared to look stupid. No on table taps no & Carafes of water are small so order one each! I wanted a table as I am disabled was told there were non so had to be lifted onto a bar stool! Then the next 3 customers were given tables... food amazing as always & plenty of veg /vegan options.

I am a fan of Yo Sushi and never really had issues before. But today I ordered 2 spicy seafood ramen and I received something that was definitely not it. I have eaten this dish many times at Yo! so I initially assumed maybe they changed recipe? Except the whole thing smelt awful. I ventured taking a bite of the noodles. It all ended in the bin.

Where do I start?……I usually come to Yo sushi in various locations and I never have a problem. I come to Liverpool One, we are sat down by the most miserable manager ever, honestly it was like she dropped her wage packet down the grid. Ordered our food via the QR code (bring back the old system, old is better, more customer friendly). I ordered a salmon hand roll which looked like a toddler put it together and my partner ordered a katsu chicken curry that was over spilling from the bowl. I ordered a salmon sushi platter, the nigiri fell apart as soon as you touched it with the chopsticks and the salmon YO! Rolls were slithers. We ordered green tea which comes with unlimited refills, but we could not get anyone’s attention to get a refill. Honestly, terrible service. I get everyone has bad day’s but this was truly awful. Extremely disappointed with the service we received in Liverpool One, it’s usually amazing but not yesterday.

I suppose I'm biased since I'm very picky when it comes to fish but it really wasn't for me. I also can't get over the pricing, around £6.50 for a pint is extreme regardless of the brand. It feels like more of a fast food place and less like a real restaurant, I'd probably suggest trying aka sushi which is nearby.

For the first 10 mins I felt like I was in work. I had to download app, create an account, log in, view order, order, pay... and THEN I could say hello and acknowledge my daughter who I was meant to be out with, enjoying each others company but I'd was sat on my phone to self serving whilst staff stood around. But after that it was nice and enjoyable.

I love yo. The pumpkin katsu is my go to comfort dish, but the last several times I've ordered has been beyond disappointing. It used to be great, but over the last few months the quality has been terrible. On my last several orders there was no where near enough curry sauce on the food, and it's hit or miss if they top it with spring onions as well. Not that I should have to, but I'd even order extra sauce because I know they won't add enough, but it's not an option on deliveroo. Been disappointed too many times now. I'll be switching to Kokoro.

Had a great time here the other day. The food was tasty and the staff were nice. I don't know his name but the gentleman who helped me and my brother on Thursday (17th June, 2:30pm reservation) was very polite and helpful.

I found a hair in my spicy pepper squid and the squid looked awful in the first bowl but in the second bowl it actually looked like something resembling the pictures on the menu and we got more in it.

Last week was the first time we visited this fine restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the attentive service, with the fine food and wine and with the comfortable price. We will definitely visit there again.

Loads of tasty options added since the last time I came to Yo! made visiting a real treat. Even my father who thought he wouldn't like it found something that he enjoyed. The web ordering makes it very easy to choose something that's not on the belt and the service was super speedy. WiFi didn't work for the web ordering but it's got a decent enough mobile signal so that wasn't a problem.

This restaurant is my favored. I visit a lot of restaurants but here I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very warm and the cooking they offer is so yummy. I would always prefer to have a nice dinner in this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

The head chef was wonderful. my family and I had a great time and were welcomed warmly. Theres are many halal options other than the teriyaki sauce. overall wonderful experience.

Second time here in a few months and this time the staff were really quite absent. They just hung around the front desk. The food was good though but it's never a cheap meal at this place. 3 quid for half a dozen prawn crackers! Come on.

Fresh sushi, takeaway fridges are always stocked, takeaway self service is fast and easy. Yo! sushi is great for sushi lovers like me, fresh, tasty and if an item isn't on the belt you can order it via the app, it comes quickly, handed to you personally. The plates on the belt are colour coordinated to prices, The plates are small and the nicer, tastier and larger portions are £5+ so you can easily spend £100 as some of the plates are £8

I love this place so much. I have been here many times, and the food is amazing. The conveyer belt came back recently, And it is amazing! The atmosphere is multicultural and the service (during non conveyer belt) was spectacular! Would Recommend! Id rate a million stars if i could!

It was perfect volume. Staff was friendly but the peas in a pod were difficult to chew through and stringy. One of us had lemon allergy and was told by staff that lemon dishes had yellow plates so he steered clear of them 😄. We had ushi rolls, nori and mochi (strawberry & chocolate) which was filled with cheesecake and yummy sauce🥴! Super delicious Super friendly Super fun I recommend to get Yo Lunch here! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

We orderd teriyaki beef bowl, korean chicken bowl, crunchy cali roll, and dynamite roll. They all very good, especially korean chicken bowl I really recommend. The teriyaki beef is a little spicy. The place is soooo good I will definitely come here more. 🥰

We missed the old experience of picking things off the moving belt, and used the mobile app to order food. Bottomless Miso soup was great, although it's a bit tedious having to keep asking for refills. The tuna sashimi was a bit bland. Favourite dish was probably the popcorn shrimp, and I love a seaweed salad. Teriyaki chicken was nice, but you really need to have that with something bland like rice Never a cheap meal here though. For more of a restaurant experience, I'd recommend somewhere like Etsu.

  • 5/5 Rich B. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful experience. Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful food. Both children had the children's chicken katsu curry in a bentos box. I had the teriyaki chicken which was so full of flavour. Chicken was succulent, sauces was spicy and sticky, very tasty. Even the rice was full of flavour. My wife had the sriracha chicken poké bowl. An amazing mixture of chicken with a variety of mixed veg and edamame beans. Delicious.

Super place to get a quick lunch, lots of different foods / styles of food Everything is very tasty, all freshly prepared, there is a range of starters, mains, desserts, special hot plates and various made to order sushi and sashimi dishes The staff are super friendly, very welcoming and accommodating, seated me appropriately considering I roll about on a small mobility scooter My meal including drinks came to £24 and I will definitely be back in the future.

We took part in a sushi class and it was brilliant! We had drinks and snacks whilst waiting for the masterclass to start. We then learnt about some sushi styles before getting the chance to make our own. They catered for gluten-free, bringing me GF soy sauce and offering alternative ingredients. It was such a lovely thing to do with my daughter, I'd recommend it 👌 ☺️

Very disappointed they have deleted the separate vegan menu when ordering online which makes it difficult to find these plates, they are not even marked and you need to guess the ingredients. In store it’s fine, but whenever I order online there’s always something wrong with the order (not the delivery’s fault as it’s usually within 10min). The items are cold, some sauces are missing, others have been added (there was some Mayo in the chips which I hope it’s vegan, it wasn’t advertised), other items missing, the share platter had at least 4 pieces of sushi missing!

I've been here 4 times in the past few months with my toddler. He loves all the food, he thinks its fun how the food comes and all the staff talk to him and are so friendly and let him draw waiting for the food. The food is so amazing especially for the price for fresh food like this. And the staff are amazing, I've never been to a place as friendly as this. There's one man who works there and I don't know if he's a manager but he sure acts like one. He just is so happy and is just so friendly making sure all the customers are happy.

Loved eating here, my partner wasn't sure about Yo sushi but this trip definitely changed his mind. I love how many good veggie options there are too ♥️

  • 3/5 Louise C. 3 months ago on Google New
First time in YoSushi, didn’t have to wait long to be seated, about 5-10 minutes. I ordered the chicken teriyaki, looked nothing like it does on the menu. Very Small pieces of chicken thrown into a small bowl with very little coleslaw, the slaw was soggy due to being at the bottom of the bowl. Chips were ok, hot but not a big portion. Next time I’ll choose from the belt. Didn’t see a lot of the green Maki Veggie dishes which my daughters loves. Overall, ok and would return but would take off the belt.

Not the most hygienic of places, I know contamination happens but the same person who was dealing with the salmon and had splashed salmon juice on the counter then proceeded to do strawberries in the same place for desserts. It wasn't until the strawberries had been all picked and cut etc that the surface was then cleaned by a different member of staff. We ordered, 2 large Pumpkin Katsu Curry's, 1 large Chicken Katsu curry and plain fries. The 2 Pumpkin Katsus were made first but were given to the people next to us who then took it off the server so they both had their thumb in our food. They then gave it back to the server... Another thumb in our food who then gave it to us. Which was quite unpleasant. We had ordered from our table with QR code so they should have know where we sat. We had finished the Pumpkin Katsu before the Chicken Katsu had arrived, even though we were told the Chicken Katsu would be on the way soon after being passed the Pumpkin Katsu. Food was hot and lots of choice which has earnt the 2 stars but wouldn't go back to this branch.

  • 5/5 jessica d. 3 years ago on Google
Loooove the sushi from here, and the katsu curry is always great 😋 they have got good practices in place to protect their customers and staff, and have now got an app to order food from, which payment is taken instantly (much like the wetherspoons app) and is conveyed to you on their food belt! In happy that the last time i visited, they had the large bottles of soy sauce out again rather than disposable packets. With covid 19, the amount of single use waste has dramatically increased, so the less disposable sachets the better!

  • 2/5 RJ W. 3 years ago on Google
wasn't worth reopening yet as the sushi was poorly made (barely put together mess), tastes weren't great (salt should accompany flavour, not replace it) and like what 2 options for vegetarians or something, big let down :L

Never been here before ad assumed it was just sushi but when everwhere was shut for lock down we said we would try it when it opens again. We were asked to wait when we rrived whilst a table was cleaned for us and then seated. An explanation was offered on how to use the app whic btw is very good and even has an option to order cutlery and ask for help. The food although not large portions was very nice and freshly prepared to order. Would definitely come again

From the first moment you enter this restaurant they give you an agreeable feeling. Very comfortable stuff, it is a happy place to to go out with friends or with your date. Excellent cooking, experienced chef de cuisine, decent cost and professional service. Warmly recommended.

I've been getting my katsu curry from Kokoro as of late, because there is something about this year that Yo Sushi forgot how to not over cook their katsu... So I ordered a large at £9.50 and surprise, crunchy over cooked katsu with rubbery chicken. Didn't get the pickled ginger in the pic either. Would have been better off ordering a large at Kokoro. They don't have ginger but at least their katsu is crispy and generous in portion, not consistenly over cooked every visit.

New social distancing measures are reassuring. You scan a QR code then order from your phone. It's actually really helpful as you can see how much you're spending! Great service and fresh, tasty food as always. The menu has been slightly amended though so some favourites may be missing.

Post lock down Yo Sushi is a very different experience. You order on your smartphone and the food comes to you by belt. The new belt automatically stops when your food is in front of you and traffic light signals show if the food is for you or another table. Payment is made by smartphone when you order so it's a very slick process. Unlike before covid, there isn't the opportunity to take random dishes from the belt as all food has to be ordered by the app. This means you can't spend a couple of hours eating whatever takes your fancy. The new system isn't worse, it's just different, but in my opinion, better.

I go to this superb place from time to time as I enjoy the ambiance that is outline this restaurant. The staff is extraordianrillyremarkably loyal and skilfull. The service is impressively rapid. Also, the food they prepare is excellent. I have been there more than once and I was always satisfied. The expense is fair. I suggest this place to to all.

  • 2/5 Gert S. 3 years ago on Google
Visited the place before about a year ago and was splendid, it has reopened with a few changes but the worst was the quality of food. Ginger and wasabi coming in small frozen pacakges, no flavour and colors faded in both. Could really tell that they are focusing on speed, rather then quality of sushis as they were sloppily made. Loved how it was before, please revert back to quality even if it takes a bit longer to make.

A different eating experience with plenty good features... ready made food on the belt, a button to press when you want to order fresh food and small portions so you can try several different dishes, only downside is it feels a bit expensive
