Ordered fish and chips £10 each, worst I've ever tasted.Compressed grey fish a flat coating of batter, didn't look like fish certainly didn't taste like fish . I've had some lovely white fish in that area for the same price, white and well battered. How ever the bottled lemonade was nice

We stopped for coffee and cake. Nice little place, well kept and adequate as a cafe. We didn't have any food, bar the cake, so only commenting on the this and the coffee. Nicely situated in a little park.

Fantastic location overlooking the marina lake at west Kirby, we only called in for a drink but thoroughly enjoy the experience .

I took my 3 year old granddaughter here on Tuesday. Gluten free and dairy free. Thank you so much for your kindness. 🥰

Came here for lunch, sat in the outdoor area which was dog friendly, was even provided with a few dog treats which was nice of them. Food + drink was great, good value for money would visit again.

We're not local but have visited West Kirkby twice in the last two months. On the first occasion we happened upon Tanskeys whilst walking down the prom, feeling a bit peckish and needing the loo. This time we made a beeline for it because we knew they'd welcome us with our dogs in comfortable surroundings and serve delicious lunchtime food in a friendly and efficient manner. Lovely staff. Thank you 😊

Had booked ahead as a birthday treat for my Mum. We requested a window table overlooking the beautiful marine lake across the Dee Estuary to North Wales. I'd noticed the Bistro does afternoon tea so we thoroughly enjoyed this special occasion with some prosecco. Service was very good and even though it was a busy lunch period and very popular, we were made to feel special with a lovely touch when Stevie Wonders "Happy Birthday" classic played out as the prosecco arrived at our table. Well done 'Team Tanskys', my Mum loved every second so thanks for making her day extra special. 👌👏

Great place for coffee. It overlooks the marina. The window seats are in high demand. Usually occupied by folk who seem to spend the whole day there or they are reserved. Coffee is good, breakfast is okay. It's all about the location here. Always busy!

Love the cosy & friendly atmosphere here and great views looking out over the lake. The scones are to die for, served warm with all the trimmings, yummy! Perfect stop off on a walk. Highly recommend. Worth every penny.

When a friend asked me for advice on a venue to hold a Charity Event I had no hesitation in recommending Tanskeys. Hannah and her team pulled out all the stops and made it a night to remember. Food was excellent and so tasty and the service was second to none. If you want to book a party celebration or just have a drink or a bite to eat then go to Tanskeys, you won't be disappointed!!

Had lunch here today with family (3 adults 1 child) not elaborate meal, me...ciabater egg mayo with add-on bacon. Bread was very hard underneath, I also expected both halves of ciabater. Egg mayo nice. Bacon was 'julienne' like hard matchsticks. I had a doombar ale, yummy. Both daughter & son in law had ciabater tuna mayo, their bread fine. Grandson had fishfingers & chips, no complaints there. My real niggle was time it took to arrive at table, few people in cafe, inside & out on terrace but not rammed so 🤷 why it took so long, my daughter had to ask "how much longer" as grandson said 3 times, mum I'm hungry. Also why on earth are kids always served last, far better give them their food bey adults !!! Would I go again, possibly as the view, inspite of ongoing road works on marine parade, is still very pretty. Tiny consolation, we weren't charged for two lattes coz of delay in food arriving.

Listened to some excellent easy listening jazz performed live by Paula & Tony Jennings and Alan Jeffs. Lovely cafe with views of the Welsh Hills and windsurfers. Staff helpful and friendly and there is a nice atmosphere here. Only had drinks but everything well presented and venue spotlessly clean.

A very friendly well decorated cafe with very friendly staff. A good range of hot drinks and cakes are available. There are lovely views of the marine lake from inside the cafe and there are tables outside in the park. A very nice place well worth a visit.
