Really good home cooked independent food, and a nice independent pub. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice and warm. However…. That is supposed to be blue cheese sauce with the burger. It looks and tasted like pepper corn. I raised this and was told no its definitely blue cheese. So either really bad sauce or a forgetful chef. It definitely had no cheese in. Other than that I can’t fault, the food was so good and staff really welcoming

Food was great, service was good. Went there with my boyfriend on a Sunday and was told that the Sunday Roast was no longer available. We weren't bothered by it because it wasn't our first choice to order a roast anyway, but what did bother us both was that 3 plates of Sunday Roast was served to another table not long after we finished eating our main course! Have a photo of my boyfriend's reaction Overall, had a lovely evening having dinner at Irby Mill.

Just eaten a lovely evening meal here. Hubby had the gammon which he said was cooked to perfection and I had chicken and bacon salad, perfectly presented and delicious. Desserts were also perfectly presented and totally scrumptious. Staff are lovely and friendly. Excellent all round. We'll be back.

Visited for a meal with friends in September 2023, party of three. Greeted with a very warm welcome from the staff, and the waitress was very friendly and very helpful with the menu making some excellent recommendations. The restaurant was clean and there was a good amount of space between the tables. We didn’t feel rushed at any point, and the atmosphere was relaxed and really made for a good dining experience. The menu offered a good choice and there were several things each of us would have had. I opted for a burger and it was delicious! Also a good range of ales available. Would highly recommend, and we will be visiting again.

Very popular eating and drinking place where you can enjoy quality food and ales! Best booking in advance as it was very busy by the time I left despite a noon booking. The fish on my Fish and Chips was the biggest I've ever seen, coated in a lovely light beer batter. And the mocha afterwards was gorgeous. Thoroughly recommend a visit!

What happened to the chips? First visit since before lock downs, friendly staff, good selection of cask beer, steak and fish really good. Unfortunately, the chips were not of the standard they were before the lock downs. Have dined previously with family and friends with them all saying the chips were the best they had ever tasted. The chips now served are hard on the outside which my wife left and I only managed them because I had pepper sauce with my steak to soak them in.

Only 2nd visit in 5 years, but still very good. Dined outside, undercover whilst a thunderstorm passed by. Great food. Quick, friendly service.

This place was absolutely lovely. The food was perfect, staff were so friendly, and the place itself was clean, tidy and had a great atmosphere, the old furnishings and interior is beautiful. Prices were competitive as well. It's even dog friendly and caters for gluten free. Car park is spacious and has an outside beer garden which is enclosed so the kids are safe from the road. Can't wait to visit again!

My go to place to eat in Greasby, only downside is that it can get busy and can be difficult to get a table at times. Food is great, portions are generous and the atmosphere is cool. Highly recommend

If you’re eating here…..be hungry. Ribs were excellent, managed to find room for a chocolate brownie as well. Highly recommend, but probably worth booking in advance especially at weekends

Great staff, great atmosphere, lovy menu and beers, but more importantly dog friendly.

Great first visit for food. The pub has a proper cosy country feel to it, plenty of folk in for mid week pint and grub. Service was good, staff polite and helpful with the menu which had plenty of choice for a relatively small pub. We ordered burger and ribs and shared our choices. Food was great, all fresh and tasty. Definitely somewhere we will revisit soon.

Lovely pub and the owners are really friendly. EXCELLENT beer and the burger we had was delicious. We went for the Wirral Ale Trail and checked out the live music. Was great fun! Will certainly return. I love the old style interior with all the stone. Lovely place!

Great pub with an excellent atmosphere and wonderful selection of local real ales. We visited this lovely pub on a Tuesday evening for a few drinks and a meal. Surprised how busy the pub and dining room was for a Tuesday - great atmosphere though! Excellent service from the waiting staff, steak and fish and chips were super tasty and came quickly too, the chips with the fish were a little over cooked for my dads liking :-(

Pretty good. Great selection of guest beers. Food was average pub fare, and I don't mean that to be negative, just was decent without being anything amazing. Service was good if a little erratic, a young team though so understandable and it looked to be a busy service. Burger was good with huge portion of fries, the ribs looked decent amount and tasty and the beef roasts were OK if a little cool on the plate. Live music out in the garden was a bonus and we stayed for another drink to listen. Will definitely return.

Many years since last visit. Still got its old world charm. Young polite staff. Worth a visit. Good menu. A better range of '0' alcohol drinks might be needed. Will visit again.

After a lovely walk with my friend from Sandy Lane to Roydenpark, we decided to pop to the Irby Mill for a late lunch. And what a delight it was. Delicious food with great service !

We've been a couple of times recently. Once on hubby's birthday 28/July and again recently with a friend 15/Aug. Both times food has been absolutely exceptional! The quality of the food and service really is one (if not THE) best on the Wirral! The staff are so friendly, polite and attentive, if only more places where like this! Cant wait to return.

Lovely traditional pub with country vibe. Cosy in the winter and brilliant in the summer with its beer garden. They are keen to promote local breweries and businesses in their stock which i think is great. Love visiting here.

Had a lovely meal here. Great service and friendly atmosphere. We didn't have a reservation but the staff got us a table. Table service too. Quaint pub. Seating outside too and a car park

Great service and food. Recommend the burgers, with spiced fries, they're lovely. We also had fish and chips. Light batter and the homemade chunky chips are great. Lots of good quality beers on offer. Well worth a visit.

Visited Irby Mill today (Sunday) for a family members birthday. There were 9 of us and a 7 month old. Most of us had the roast dinner which was very tasty. One had fish and chips which was also tasty. The Irby Mill is a lovely old building that is very cottage like. There's a good selection of real ales. Staff very friendly and helpful.

A lovely return to this fabulous public house to celebrate our mums 90th birthday. Excellent service and exceptional food. Just a shame I was driving so couldn't enjoy the amazing choice of cask ales. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Lovely little place that was far busier than I expected on a Random Tuesday afternoon. Muffs sausages always a highlight, and would also recommend the fish and chips lunch. The veg soup was honestly really bland but on a cold day it really warmed the bones (plus it was much improved when you dipped the sausage sandwich in...!). Staff lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Will absolutely be coming back.

Staff were so friendly in here. The garlic bread was amazing and the chicken burgers were delicious. Promptly seated and quickly served. Covid measures in place. Lovely lunch would recommend.

Friendly atmosphere, both main meals were perfect. Service excellent. Was definitely worth a visit. Beer was excellent as you would expect from a camra registered pub. Will definitely be visiting again.
