Probably the best pub ever. Started going there more than 40 years ago. Just moved back to the area and its as good as ever. If you like TV screens and music you're going to be disappointed, it's a proper pub.

This is a welcoming, local rustic pub with a community atmosphere that serves up some guest beers. Drop in after a walk along the beach!

So welcoming and friendly I would almost consider moving to Waterloo just so it would be my local. Good beer, friendly locals, lots of dogs. So glad we popped in while staying in the area.

We just popped in for a quick drink before going on to somewhere else to eat. Never been before but we will be going back again sometime for an evening out. Very friendly with an old cosy local feel. Was disappointed that they don't serve food, if they had we would have stayed longer.

Really good dog friendly pub. Can't comment on food as didn't eat there

Proper real ale pub. Very no frills, so if that's not your vibe it won't be for you. But if you like a traditional boozer, very much in the kind of mould that a CAMRA enthusiast would enjoy... Happy days! Very much in the top tier not just in Waterloo but in North Liverpool more widely.

Exceptionally welcoming team who really know their local gins and their local beers, wish every little welcoming pub I could give as recommendation as this one xxx

Perfect pub for a catch up with friends. A good selection of beers, wines and spirits with no music to distract from the atmosphere. Local and staunchly traditional.

A real old fashioned pub with no distracting music, tv or slot machines. Just great beer and conversation. The log burner in the lounge will feel even more inviting this winter.

I make a point of coming here , when I'm in the area. I first went in about seven years ago , I was showing it by someone while on holiday at Southport. We came down to meet them at Crosby on the train , this is where we ended up!

😐 It's a Spoons. Cheap (not as cheap as it was) and almost cheerful. Pleasant enough when we were last in. Food was on the good side this time but I suppose it depends who's in the kitchen. We've had some of our better quality Spoons meals in this one. My pint this time was actually very good being Br...
