The place I fell in love with Guinness! The best Guinness outside of Ireland! Amazing atmosphere, history and the food is top notch! All the staff are really friendly especially the manager she'll go out her way to make sure you're happy. Other great beers on draft. Shenanigans kept us topped up with Guinness during lock down with their delivery service. Can not fault the service. Fantastic place to go.

Early breakfast treat so quiet and relaxed - unique decor and friendly staff, and yes, you can have a Guinness with breakfast to start the day. ☘️

Had a brilliant afternoon here last Saturday. An enquiry about whether we could watch the England Women’s World Cup qualifier was answered very promptly by Orla and we were made to feel very welcome with a choice of tellies and seats. Megan on the bar was friendly and efficient despite it getting very busy. A very quirky bar with great decor and amazing street art on the outside wall. Highly recommended, thanks for the wonderful hospitality! :o)

Easily the best pint of Guinness in Liverpool. We was told by 2 Irish fellas who were in Shenanigans that other pubs were better, we visited those and they couldn’t have been more wrong! Shenanigans hands down is the best pint of Guinness I’ve had outside Dublin!

Best pint of guinness you will get in Liverpool! An incredible pub with an abundance of character, always a warm welcome staff are brilliant and always on hand if you need anything. Food is incredible quality pub food (Irish stew and the cajun halloumi fries are my personal favourites) always entertainment on, great music and all major sports can be watched here. 10/10!!!

Nice pub serving a good pint of Guinness. The pub isn't big but there's another bar upstairs and a roof space. Pub food is served and the bar staff are lovely and friendly. They have live music on some nights and the man singing on his guitar when we were there was great. I'd go back again if I was up that end of town. Nice to visit a pub that still feels like a pub.

Best pub in Liverpool. Have been coming to Shenanigans for a good 5 or so years when visiting the city. I have recently had my stag do in the function room / upstairs bar and it was class. Staff were outstanding as always too! 10/10 would recommend !

Belter pub with great atmosphere and staff. Guinness is the best around and the food is also spot on, the Sunday roast is particularly good, but you can't go wrong with anything else off the menu.

Visited Liverpool for the weekend and found this pub round the corner from where we were staying. It is now our favourite place in Liverpool, live music (the Irish singer on the Friday was the best), great atmosphere, great Guinness, great selection of whiskey (quiet man-double-no ice) definitely worth a visit!

Great little Irish pub we called in for an afternoon drink on our way out off town. Full of charm and objects of a time gone by. Of course the Guinness was well served.

Cute little 'off the grid' bar. Couldn't buy a medium (size) wine, only small or large?? And had ran out of ice for our G&Ts! Looked like it could be a great night upstairs when the band came on, but we only stayed for one drink and moved on

Proper Irish pub with good choice of beer. Irish roast is absolutely first class as their Chef is excellent. Nice atmosphere, and it is authenticity Irish and rightly acclaimed as best Irish bar in in Liverpool.

Sunday roast is ridiculously good. Pork belly Yorkshire pud carrot/turnip mash broccoli cabbage cauliflower cheese stuffing ball roast potatoes and gravy to die for. Outstanding value for an absolutely first class dinner. Amazing pub and the staff are super friendly.

This was a trip down memory lane for me and I was pleasantly surprised to see that things hadn't changed too much. There was changes but that is to be expected, however, it still felt like a place you could go to for a good session. I would highly recommend it over the numerous "Irish bars" that have sprung up around Liverpool in the last few years.

I came to Liverpool first time, this pub was close to my hotel and I was there every day! Great atmosphere, people were so kind, we watched football, drank some good beer. Place I should visit again, next time I come to England.

Shenanigans has such a cool vibe. It is set across multiple floors and has seating outside on the rooftop too. Great pub! They also do nibbly bits like chicken strips etc, which is really good.

Went to a private party upstairs. Excellent venue, surprisingly roomy upstairs with 3 levels and a rooftop terrace. Staff were great, beer good and the atmosphere brilliant. The pub downstairs was bustling, I would not hesitate to drop in there for a pint or 3. Hidden gem.

Nicely laid out but small pub. Visited as a friend from London wanted to see one of the pubs featured in Tin Star Liverpool, he loved it.

Small and cozy. Decent prices and good for locals and students

Nice little pub, but not a real Irish pub as directed, more an Irish themed bar. That in itself is not an issue, but found the lager had a real "tang" to it, so only had 1 pint (only drank it because I paid for it). Sorry to say, but 2 stars is all I could give, and that was just for the surroundings, better beer means more stars

Wow!!!!I had a wonderful night out here... You could see happiness on everyone's face...I doubt you come to shenanigans and leave depressed...so much joy in the air as the music keeps playing... I absolutely have nothing bad to say about this place..

The pub itself was incredible. Best pint of Guinness this side of the Irish sea, good selection of beers and tried some food whilst there and surprised to say the food was better than some restaurants I've been too! The ONLY reason for the 4 stars and not 5, was there was a couple that were doing drugs next to us and after alerting staff, no one kicked them out. This was 4pm on a Saturday.

Really quirky pub, nice atmosphere and good beer selection. Had live music on when I was there which was really good, but if not your cup of tea you can just go to another floor.

Well, this is everything an Irish bar should be. The food is lovely with sizeable portions. A lively evening atmosphere, sometimes rowdy. Sports on the telly, live music, great staff, roaring fire and nice crowd of regulars. Great selection of booze and non-alcoholic drinks too. Slainte!!
