It's a lovely venue. With great views over the Mersey to the iconic Liverpool waterfront. Catch the ferry from Liverpool 'Ferry across the Mersey' and you will arrive at this destination. Plenty of clean tables and chairs. A choice of eateries including vegan, burgers, chips, cookies, sandwiches, toasties and much more: Including a well stocked bar. The staff were welcoming. Seating is also available outside. At the weekend various stalls are open at the side of the ferry terminal selling a range of products.

Fantastic space for a day out. It has it all. Great parking, accessible by public transport, ferry trips, a war museum, a variety of shopping stalls and the creme de la resistance - the eatery, where you choose from a range of delicious meals, a bar or two and a fantastic view from the elevated deck area, of the Merseyside and Liverpool city. A brilliant way to spend a day out!

Lovely place to visit for the view across to Liverpool and to have a meal, snack or coffee. There are several places serving food in the main food hall. You can eat inside on two floors, but I'd recommend sitting out on the upstairs patio and enjoy the views across the Mersey to Liverpool.

Great venue with a range of food options that will meet most requirements. The ground floor hosts the independent food outlets with seating upstairs and some outside. The seating upstairs offers great views of the Liverpool skyline and any ships docked. Forked up offers fantastic vegan food, the bao buns and rice bowls are particularly special. The venue frequently hosts markets at weekends.

In all honesty everything was closed. The cafe and u boat tour. The terminal was manned as was the tourist information booth. I had taken my parents and there was no information about this on the Liverpool Terminal side. It was very disorganised and as a family we were very disappointed

Afternoon/Evening visit to Woodside. Great place to spend the afternoon and evening. Stunning views of Liverpool from the outside terrace and when the suns out there is no better place to sit. Food from Haku was fabulous as usual. The evening entertainment was also excellent and it was just a shame that there were so few people out to experience it. The outside terrace is such a big plus point and it is unfortunate that table service is no longer in operation and also the clearing of tables was very slow. This should be improved and as the warmer days come then this will add so much to what could be the place to spend your summer afternoons.

Great atmosphere for a drink. Shame we had to sit on bar stools instead of a table as we only had drinks. Great idea and food looked great ๐Ÿ˜Š

What a beautiful place. Visited on a Saturday night, lovely atmosphere although a shame to see it so quite, but perhaps as it was middle of Jan people were waiting for pay day. Food was delicious and great range of drinks. Would recommend.

Really nice place, you can see a old U boat back from the war (currently can't enter due to renovations it seems. But its a cozy little restraunt(s) where you have lots of little kitchens selling different foods.

Excellent "village" indoor food & drink area. Various food outlets that make it very easy for people to order what type of food they want from the different stalls but all eat together. Highlight of Birkenhead.

We came on a Wednesday night after seeing on instagram it was 20% off food. Despite this, the vendor charged us full price and said the button wasnโ€™t working on the till for the discount- You shouldnโ€™t advertise this if you donโ€™t plan to honour it. I was then charged ยฃ1.50 for a dash of lime cordial which was in a dirty glass - seriously? I still canโ€™t fathom how ridiculous that is. The website states the bar is open until 9pm however it closed at 7pm. Whilst we were eating, staff were continuously cleaning around us trying to usher us out early before they turned the lights off next to us at 7:30. I understand you may want to finish early when quiet but this isnโ€™t a way to treat your customers. We found this so uncomfortable and rude and wonโ€™t be returning.

Visited today for lunch. Wanted to say 5 stars to Server Ziek who was on his own was amazing and apologetic for length of time waiting for food/drinks. Toasties tasty but bill bit pricey for 2 people.

Great venue with views of the river Merseyside and the Liverpool waterfront. You can grab a coffee or choose from a large selection of ice cream from an award winning ice cream maker. There are other food choices and a bar should you fancy a tipple.

Lots of choice some stalls more amenable than others. Tried to order the Thai but the server said it wasnโ€™t in stock but left the advert/ offer out on display so other made the same mistake. Wings we tasty and well present, spicy chips were a bit steep on price but again tasty.

Such a hidden gem the food is fabulous many vendors all cooked fresh service is excellent disabled friendly with wheelchair access we went at 1pm Thursday ferries arenโ€™t running at the moment hence lower score for the atmosphere but Iโ€™m sure itโ€™s busier evenings and weekends we will definitely return well worth filling in the feedback forms we won from a previous visit ๐Ÿ‘well done Woodside Village you are doing a great job ๐Ÿ‘

Chose the Italian option, tasty and spicy prawn dish, my daughter had an excellent creamy pasta. Must be very popular as at 6pm no olives or bread left. Great venue with amazing views of the River Mersey and Liverpool seafront. Many seating options are available, including outside in good weather. Highly recommended. Booking advised via the website.

This is a great place to visit. There are kiosks with varied food available from around the world. A personal favourite is the Greek counter, but that's because I like Greek cuisine. Lovely views across the river to enjoy and a nice outside space upstairs. There is a cafe cream which is good for coffee and tea. (And amazing ice-cream) Upstairs there is a bar and a separate cocktail bar with a good selection of cocktails if you fancy a more adult drink.

Had fantastic meals from Ena Pa, the African/ Caribbean outlet.

Met a friend for lunch, we had booked a table and where quickly seated upstairs looking out on the river. We ordered food from Ena Pa the African Caribbean outlet, the food was well presented full of flavour and hit the spot. The plantain wrap was lovely and the Salt Fish tasted so good. The staff where so friendly. A fab little eatery definitely worth a visit.

Great food, friendly staff. Parking, simply a nightmare, since it's changed over to PayByPhone. App and Telephone Number does not work.

Another waisted opportunity in birkenhead. Only open Saturday and Sunday. This has the potential to be a great shopping destination!

Went on 50 minute cruise across the Mersey. Parked up at Woodside, plenty of parking (ยฃ1:00 per hour). Nice cafe serving drinks and cake while you wait for ferry. If you have a Merseyside bus pass show it when buying tickets only ยฃ3:50 per person. For that reason Don't purchase online. Grandson under 5 free. Very enjoyable few hours. Could get off at Liverpool if you wanted but we chose not too.
