We visit this place for take away food. Very nice and friendly staff. While we was waiting for our food we order drinks as well. We wait for food while but it was worth it. We order corn dogs like starters and they famouse Hickory burger. Food was very nice and fresh. We will definitely come back try some more if we get the chance.

I always wanted to visit here and now I'm so happy I did. The service was top notch from the bar staff to the servers. The menu wasn't too fussy but with plenty of choice. I opted for the classic brisket and my goodness it was divine. Like butter in your mouth and the bourbon gravy was heavenly. The wife had the sausage and by golly it was well hung 🤣🤣 Had the Texas pie for dessert and I could have eaten more. Amazing texture, chewy and full of flavour. The blueberry compote really cut through the sweetness. Best part of the whole thing was the bill. Only £55 with drinks. Got to say it was worth every penny. Go and be surprised with the flavours sand experience of an obviously well run smokehouse and bar

It was very busy. No parking spaces left. We arrived early and waited at the bar, staff were great. Served at our table on time🙂food order was taken promptly and arrived in good time. Starters and mains were fabulous we all had something different and all really enjoyed our food. Would of had a pudding but too full☺️ thanks to all the staff for a great experience even though it was chocker. 👌👌

Fantastic service, tailored to you. The food is lovely, well cooked but not overdone, I recommend the sharing platter, a little bit of everything! The cocktails are exquisite and well presented and their house ale is delightful! And they do takeout cocktails! All round great food, great service, well priced Will definitely be returning

Booked a table here as an Easter treat for the kids. Table was wobbly and the chairs weren't comfy but it was a nice meal. Not cheap but good for a special occasion. Even though they were extremely busy, we didn't have to wait long. The food was tasty, hot and looked very well presented. The staff who served us were pleasant enough but take ear plugs as the music is deafening. Will definitely be going to another Hickorys, kids loved it!!

Very aesthetic smokehouse. Lovely in summer to sit outside with drinks. The drinks are very unique and tasty. Be prepared for large portions and American style meals. The meals are pricey for sure but nice for a one off. They give you complementary popcorn and water which makes a nice addition. Not the place for a light bite. Nice atmosphere. Family friendly place with a cinema and outdoor play area for the kids but you are defo paying for the experience not the food. The service was quick and waitress and waiters were lovely.

Hello! We came from Liverpool and we didn’t have a reserved space, the restaurant was really busy, barely any tables left. But a very nice lady had let us get a table and eat in a period of time. Thanks to that we could enjoy a meal from this restaurant. Another really nice lady (half black and half green hair) took our order, she was very helpful, kind and funny. Judging by the amount of people in the restaurant we thought we would have to wait ages and we were very shocked when the food had arrived within 10 minutes- how have you guys done that? :) Before receiving food we received a huge glass of water and a bag of popcorn. The portions of the food were massive and very worth their price, all the food tasty and fresh. The looked spectacular and the kids were super excited by the skill shakes. And another thing is that the toilets were parted for children and adults, the thought as I’ve never seen that before. Shockingly there was also a mini cinema for the kids so the idea of parents being able to eat or drink, even have a talk to themselves is amazing. Overall amazing atmosphere and the American style. I recommend this place 100% and we thank all the workers for the amazing experience we received! AMAZING RESTAURANT 💙

After a few recommendations, We have decided to visit Hickory on the Sunday late afternoon, no problem to get tables, but I would recommend pre book before visiting, specifically on the weekend. We had no disappointment, fulfilled our expectations, I will give 4.5* for the rib eye steak , the reason is as a steak lover there my expectations are very high . The See-bass + dessert bang on 5*. The atmosphere, service and treatment 5*. Worth to visit there will be no disappointment. Thanks Hickory, We will be back sometime!

My Husband and I went for our first date night in nearly18mths on Friday night.....whoop whoop child free for one night 😂 and it was our fist time at Hickory's. We were service by Cheeky Charlie who was so lovely and friendly. The food was fab and we carnt wait to go back and take the kids with us. X x x

Went out for lunch on a Sunday! Nice atmosphere, great place for families as they have booths you can book in with TVs , watch the game , enjoy some drinks and food! A kid friendly place too

The food was good but not the same as in Chester, the staff member kept us waiting with our 3 kids by the bar for a table for over 10 minutes, when there were plenty of free tables.

Absolutely fantastic experience. All of the staff were so friendly and happy to recommend something different and offer help. A half rack of ribs was a little tough but that was changed without fuss. I shared a platter with my son which was divine and filled us both up. Milkshakes are gorgeous too. I've been a few times before and will definitely return. Thumbs up guys n gals 👍

I took my partner here to break in her hickory's cherry, and she was amazed by how nice it was.. she even ate my brisket, yet she never liked it beforehand (a bit mad at that, but I'll let her off 🤣). In the words of Toby keith.. I love this bar. it's my kind of place 🤘 love the American football decor around the bar area. Love the food. the staff is always amazing and cheerful no matter how rushed of their feet they're. The atmosphere is always buzzing.

Went with a group after friends all enjoyed the food. Some of my friends for 3 starters instead of starter main. If I went again I would do that as get to try more dishes. Great food and highly recommend

What can I say about Hickorys apart from good food! Nipped in for lunch with my son, had the new french toast with peaches & cream - it was amazing! Love the free popcorn, it's always a nice extra touch

The staff make this place. Ours was one of the many birthdays.. but the whole team engaged with our games including picking the best unicorn! American style food is never that great in my well travelled opinion, but even during their busiest weekend evening the food was reasonable. Far from cheap.. But reasonable. But, this isn't somewhere you go for great food. This is somewhere you can have fun.. especially with children... Or people behaving like children!!

Really excellent place to grab some lunch or dinner. Really good selection to choose from, something for everyone. I got the hickorys breakfast, really decent amount of food, and really tasty. The waffle was an unsual touch. My partner had the mac n cheese, with sf chicken on top. Which i ate 😁 The chicken was superb! Plenty of parking and not too far from west kirkby beach, if you wanted to have a nice stroll along there. Best thing there by far was the staff, one girl in particular with cool green and black hair. Was really friendly, very helpful and it was quite busy and could see she was working hard but nothing was too much trouble. Wish i could have got her name as she was excellent!

Service was good , atmosphere is great , food is good , kids always love going there as a treat because its different .

Had a great time here, really enjoyed the food and the restaurant had a Halloween theme going with actors which we really enjoyed.

We booked a table for 5 families (16 people) on an evening for the following morning. We were served in a very spacious conservatory, well decorated and warm. Good service, they were patient taking and retaking our order (you know how in a large companies there are always people changing their mind etc.) We ordered 3 meat platters to share for 4 people per each (can easily be for 5), and individual dishes for some. I had a rack of ribs, and believe my meat was tastier, softer. It was served on a wood board, and I had bourbon on ice (Old fashioned coctail, smoke and orange peel. Enjoyed it a lot, as I like when I don't waste food. But it might be a bit small for someone hungrier. Shared platters, on the other hand, were very generous, but the meet was a bit dry to my taste and I don't like their "majic dust" (hmmm...) Non-alcoholic coctails were excellent, full of flavour! There were many people inside, but the place wasn't crowded. Decorations -not too much, in style of the place. All in one, great experience, would visit again.

Went during a flying ant storm but the staff were amazing even though i didnt get my free popcorn and due to the windows and roof being closed during glorious weather things were a little hot 🥵🥵 it was all done to protect us from the ants and the poor staff looked hotter than us...the food was amazing as normal we absolutely love the food here would highly recommend the staff are great and work very hard 😁😁

Dined at Hickorys for a friend's birthday. There were 10 in our group and we sat in two of the covered outside booths. Warm evening to sit outside. There was a heat lamp if needed above the table. Really lovely area to dine in. Food was very tasty and not expensive. All the staff were lovely with a good sense of humour.

Love food family enjoyed it all and the free drinks for the waiting time that we were kept waiting for are table would definitely go ago

Super delicious texas style bbq. Although milk shake was way too sweet in my opinion and all the brisket in our order was flat muscle. I much prefer point end. Still delicious.

Starting to slip into a food coma. Great food and lovely helpful staff. There was a slight mistake with desert and they sorted it immediately and with no fuss. Very good Frickles, wings and burger. Will be back again.

Heard good things for year so wanted to go. Place was nice, food was even better, food took a while to arrive but the food was spot on even the milk shakes. Would go again
