Another great place on the other side of River Mersey. Clean, warm, friendly and affordable. What else do you need? My room was spacious, clean and well equipped. I will definitely stay there next time.

Well what can you say! 100% recommend. David and his mum, excellent hosts. Every morning greeted with a smile, a story and excellent breakfast. Nothing was too much for them. The rooms were excellent, so comfy, clean, had the best sleep. Will definitely go back and stay each and everytime and would tell anyone thinking of going up to stay too.

A great place to stay! The family that runs the hotel is very friendly and helpful. They also offer an incredible full English breakfast! The commuter ferry is just steps away but only runs during weekdays.

Fantastic place to stay. Don't be put off by how it looks from the street. Room was lovely, modern well fitted bathroom and shower. Breakfast was fantastic. Made to feel really welcome. Soooo convient 2 min walk to Ferry terminal that takes you over to Liverpool.

Our group of five motorcyclists recently had the pleasure of staying at The Liver View Hotel, and here's our balanced review. The Liver View Hotel is housed in an older building, which gives it a certain charm. Despite its age, the place is kept clean and offers a rather simple, but comfortable stay. The quiet location is a bonus for those seeking some peace after a day of touring. At around Β£50 per night, we found the rate reasonable for what was on offer. The convenient parking facility right at the entrance was particularly appreciated by our group, considering our motorcycles and the need for easy access and security. The breakfast was freshly prepared and simple, but satisfying. While it may not meet the expectations of those desiring a gourmet spread, it certainly served us well in getting started for the day. A standout aspect of our stay was the exceptional hospitality of the proprietor. He was incredibly welcoming, went to great lengths to ensure our comfort, and was very helpful throughout our stay. His efforts definitely added a layer of warmth to the otherwise simple accommodation. On balance, we're giving The Liver View Hotel a four-star rating. While it's a no-frills kind of place, the cleanliness, fair pricing, convenient parking, and notably, the excellent host, make for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, particularly for travelling groups like ours.

Absolutely wonderful place. The owners really look after you immensely. They are so lovely. Rooms are very nice, super clean, quite luxe. My only teeny issue is that the heat was mostly miss. The radiator didn't seem to work, or worked slightly for a few minutes then turned off. It wasn't the biggest issue as we were out most of the time, didn't complain, no need as the duvets were thick, but if it gets really chilly I think that maybe a panel radiant heater that's cheap to run in fuel bill crisis ,instant,no dust blowing, and fast would be awesome for a bit of heat in room and bathroom. Old radiators are a bugbear and so expensive these days unfortunately in bigger buildings...but this is only in cooler weather... otherwise flawless lovely stay.

We arrived to the warmest of welcomes at this lovely hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for Dave and his mum, who both put 100% into making our stay as enjoyable as could be. The room was beautifully clean with lovely views and the bed was the comfiest we’ve ever slept in. Daves breakfast was delicious and plentiful with lots of choices. The hotel is so handy for getting into the city, only a short stroll to the ferry port and bus stops. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

We recently stayed at this hotel for the weekend whilst attending the Grand National and have nothing but great memories thanks to Dave, Cheryl and the family. For anyone looking for a clean hotel at a sensible cost with friendly staff, look no further as this ticks all the boxes. We look forward to returning next year for the races !!!!

Really friendly and helpful staff. Very reasonably priced and nice to have a cooked breakfast included. Make sure you get to say hello to Briscoe the dog. The nearby ferry provides access into Liverpool centre during the day. During the evening, a taxi ride back is about Β£20 or you can catch a train to get a bit closer first.

Very nice experience from start to finish. Ticks off all the boxes for us: rooms clean, breakfast good, etc. Location is great, it's a calm area but central location: take the ferry across and you're in the center of Liverpool. Owner is amazing. Very welcoming, open to chat and he has cute dogs walking around! We really loved Liverpool and the Liver View contributed to our positive experience. Thanks! P.S. you gotta tune the piano :)

Nice hotel with friendly owner (Dave), clean comfortable rooms, just a stones throw from the ferry port. Not much in the immediate vicinity but not far from the city centre ( half hour on bus or 10 mins on the ferry although Seacombe terminal is currently closed so had to go to Woodside terminal). Recommended as a value for money alternative to expensive city centre prices.

This hotel is in a nice location with stunning views across the Mersey to Liverpool. Owner was lovely and very welcoming. Breakfast was cooked fresh and was delicious. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Excellent hotel, maybe an old building looking a little past it from outside but the rooms were excellent and clean. Our stay was brilliant thanks to the staff who were friendly helpful and excellent hosts. I will come here again if I visit Liverpool again. If you are staying here be aware you are pretty much the wrong side of the Mersey. But the cheap travel cards (ask when you check in) will get you anywhere on ferries trains and buses after 0930. So it was never an issue for us getting around on public transport. Would give more stars if I could, great value and great service.
