We went for a family meal here last night. Nine of us and we all had a lovely time. Lots of choice on the menu, prompt and friendly service and very reasonable in the end. Easy to see why it's been going for such a long time.

We attended this restaurant just before half 2, my mum & i went inside the restaurant first to ensure there was availability. We spoke to a waitress who checked for the availability and sat us down accordingly, my dad & brother were parking the car, when my dad & brother came into the restaurant i noticed my dad trying to go to the toilet but the waiter stopping him, waving his arms saying "out". My dad tried explaining that his wife & daughter were sitting down to which we heard the waiter shouting "no we stopped serving at 2" so im not really sure why we were seated. The waiter left my dad well & truly humiliated as this was in front of everyone in the restaurant, he then had to shout to ourselves to get up out of the seats we were given in front of all the other guests and to leave the restaurant like we had done something wrong, this was extremely embarrassing for all of us. After leaving and driving to another nearby restaurant we phoned up to speak with the manager and the same guy in question answered the phone telling my dad that we were never given a seat in the first place and we were lying, yet me & my mum WERE sat down by a member of staff as i was there... we are still yet to speak to the owner... so rude & very embarrassing as guests just trying to have something for lunch, definitely avoid if you dont want to be humiliated by staff/ managers!!

Always over visiting here. Used the take away service during lockdown/pandemic and decided to revisit again. Certainly didn't disappoint and was as good as always.

Exceptional Italian but not restricted to cousins. Delicious dishes with explosion of flavours. Great wine, spirits and desserts selection. Welcoming, helpful and friendly staff.

Was only there for food. Had a seafood risotto. Seafood was fresh. Gd portions. Authentic Italian food. If you are in Liverpool city centre, it works likely be similar food just smaller. Has parking. Would recommend and come again.

Went for a meal for my sons birthday yesterday, not a perfect experience. One member of staff was slightly abrupt, a glass of coke was brought to the table held by the top drinking edge. The starters needed bread as quite oily, you have to ask for bread as it’s an extra. The main course (seafood risotto) was lacking in taste, very much like the rice was precooked and the fish added at the last moment. One of the mussels was off (I know this can happen anywhere) but the waiter just said….oh! Cost was reasonable for what we ordered, although not cheap. Won’t be revisiting, although other customers have given better reviews so maybe it was a one off.

I’ve eaten here for years and utilised Villa Venezia for birthdays, celebrations and intimate meals. The staff are exemplary and the food has always been fantastic. Although fairly small, the restaurant is always full of atmosphere which is enhanced by the friendly and courteous staff. I can highly recommend Villa Venezia for a family meal or a first date. Excellent!

I thought the staff were great and I enjoyed the food. My pet hate: 8 people received their starter and two had to wait another 10 minutes. Please serve each course all together. Apart from that really enjoyable.

Tasty food from an expansive menu in a friendly atmosphere with very good service. We were a group of 7 out for a Birthday celebration and everyone really enjoyed their food.

Love going to Italian restaurants, love chating to people in Italian. Heads up to the non Italian staff all speaking the language. Food above and beyond. Hot, very tasty, highly recommend.will visit again.

I can't comment on the rooms as a group of 12 of us went only for a meal to celebrate 2 birthdays. Lovely touch providing 2 complimentary birthday cakes. Such a shame that we were asked to eat desserts quickly, as there was another group waiting. Great food and will definitely return.

We had a lovely night in this restaurant. Its lovely food in a relaxed atmosphere. If your local you should certainly go and keep independent restaurants alive.

Food and service were first class. Unfortunately, there was a large party at the table behind ours and they were really loud. We couldn't hold a conversation due to the racket.

We have been many many times over the last 20 years. Tonight was amazing as always. Definitely recommend for anyone either special occasion or romantic meal for two.

Not my first visit. Yet again, exceeded my expectations. Service is always friendly and genuine. Food is 1st class and amazingly tasty. Had the dorada this time, pan fried and seved with a capers and tomato salsa. Cooked to perfection and delicious!

I've been coming here for many years and the food is always lovely. I usually have pasta in some form and their cheesy garlic bread, which is THE best. Staff are always friendly and the service is great. And I must mention the desserts, if you can leave room for one, do it they are fab. A great place for family or friends to get together.

Booked a table for 5 for 17.45, arrived 17.35 and the place was packed and they only opened at 17.30. Had an enjoyable meal at this restaurant which I could highly recommend. Service was great and the staff was rushed off their feet. Would have given 5* had it not been for one of my pet hates. Meal was served and before I could taste it a waiter came along with a pepper mill. Perhaps the waiters dont have any confidence in the chef's ability to season the food? This really annoys me and the pepper Miller's time could be better spent elsewhere.

It was our first ever visit but it won't be our last. The food was excellent and the service was brilliant. Can't wait to go back as there was so much on the menu that I wanted to try.

Had a good family meal for 13 of us here. We were well looked after and the food was generally good. I would definitely go back however I wouldn’t choose the meatballs again but the rest of the dishes looked great.

Lovely meal , friendly staff. My daughter and I had a lovely evening here , we shared some olives and cheesy garlic bread I had the fettuccine al salmone which was delicious, can't recall the pasta dish my daughter had but she said it had a nice spicy kick and she really enjoyed it . We followed with our favourite dessert of tiramisu and we weren't disappointed.

Beautiful food, a more varied menu than a lot of Italian restaurants, at a very reasonable price and lovely, friendly staff...highly recommend.

I have to say 5 of us had great service. The food and house wine was really good. Have eaten here before but some time ago. I will definitely be going again.

Ordered Lasagna which was not freshly made and was a microwaved mess. Mushroom starter was heavily salted and friend ordered carrot cake that was dry and stale. Not impressed considering the price.

Great cute little Italian. Food was all nice and the staff seemed sweet. I hope next time I go they have a better bar selection though the Liquors were lacking.

We visited Villa Venezia last night for a meal, the service was absolutely diabolical! We were greated by a man who was very abrupt and full of attitude. They took forever to take our order. We kindly asked for fresh salad with our meal and was rudely dismissed and said we dont need any salad with our meal. We asked for garlic bread and the older gentleman huffed at us and abruptly placed our food on the table. This is the first and last time I will ever visit. The service was absolutely disgraceful!

Never disappointed with this Italian restaurant. Had some great takeaways from them in lockdown so a pleasure to be back in the restaurant.
