Must do if your in Liverpool. A really good experience and commentary. You cross the Mersey with great views of the city skyline. The journey takes about 20 minutes each way and on board their is plenty of seating and facilities for snacks and hot drinks.

We took the Mersey Ferry Cruise. Cost Β£9.50 for concessions. It was a very good way to see the Liverpool Waterfront with an informative talk over. A bonus was the chance for some excellent photos of the skyline from the water.

Loved my experience. There is an audio that plays while you are on your 50 minute tour which is great and very informative. I could only Imagine this being really fun when the weather is nicer as well!

Really enjoyable and educational boat trip down the River Mersey! A must-do for anyone visiting for the first time, or looking to learn more about the river and it’s history. The trip was 50 minutes exactly, and took us round in a big loop, stopping at another dock as well for additional passengers. We had a great seat right up front, and the views were really beautiful. The commentary throughout meant we were constantly spotting new attractions and buildings, and learning about what they were and how they served Liverpool. All in all, a really lovely experience!

Took my Wife and grandson on the ferry he was so exited... very informative commentary on the boat about the history. Then when we got off the ferry we went on the City Explorer open top bus tour. Which also was very informative. We have also seen more sights that we want to visit in the future thanks to the tour. Great day out thanks 😊

On a sunny 🌞 Sunday, my friend and I decided to go on the mersey Ferry River cruise πŸ›³. It was a prebooked ticket 🎟 bought online. It only cost Β£11.50 per person for a 50-minute cruise up down the river mersey, with commentary. The weather was perfect for a winter's day and the river was calm. There are good facilities on board with indoor and outdoor seating areas. There are toilets and a snack bar. The cruise allows you to see all the interesting architecture and river landmarks. If you're in Liverpool or Merseyside and have the time I'd definitely recommend going on the river cruise. we had a wonderful time. 🚒

Anyone visiting Liverpool has to get on the Ferry and while your on it grab a hot drink or beer and enjoy the scenery. While on the tour boat you get an insight to the history of Liverpool and the Docks through the automated speakers they have around the boat which was a bonus as we didn’t realise. The day we visited was cold and windy so be sure to take a rain jacket with you oh and a good pair of walking shoes.

Visitor to Liverpool or a resident. A Ferry across the Mersey has to be on the to do list! Be it sightseeing, Liverpool front and the Liver building, its a great opportunity for photograph's and selfies. I have fond memories of Dad taking me on this journey over to the posh side and camel laird boat building. Whoever said you will hate the song "ferry across the mersey " is utterly wrong! They played it twice and instead was a historical tour of all the famous sites of our amazing city. Trip lasts about 50 mins, costs about Β£11 but its a do to moment woth lots of memories and pictures to be had. The staff are very friendly and polite and are happy to help. This is one trip that I highly recommend.

It was alright... Not the best nor worst boat tour. Pre recorded tape sharing the history of the area. Great view of the 3 Grace's though.

Β£10+ per person . was a very enjoyable ride in the summer though very crowded- me and my family were one of the first few no get on but we ended up with no seats. the sight seeing spectacle of this is reallly good but the speakers were a bit buggy and loud. I would've loved this is it was a bit more quiet and less crowded. the cafe was really understaffed and small. there was a long line and only one person working ,i also ended up with cold cappuccinos..

My Dad and I booked our Mersey Ferry tour last minute after seeing reviews here, can honestly say it was the highlight of our trip to Liverpool! It's only a 50 minute cruise, but it's so educational and informative! For Β£12 for an adult and Β£10.50 for concession, we both felt it was well worth the money, we both enjoyed ourselves so much! There is a little bar on board too!

It was a wonderful ferry ride with commentary over the tanoy about Liverpool history and Wirral. It was a 50-minute tour, but we could have stayed on all day just going forward and back. Great hard-working staff, a nice little cafe and toilets dogs are allowed as long as on a lead. Some good views of the Eurovision outdoor stage and village. I must do if you're visiting Liverpool!!

I cant visit Liverpool without a trip on the 'Ferry across the Mersey' even if it was a blustery rainy day! , staff friendly, the tour is very informative for those who dont know the river and history (I do) ... we were on the old Royal Iris, not the multi coloured thing that I dont like! I prefer the traditional! I used to use the Ferry's to get to work in the 70's! Lets hope they keep on ferrying folk for years to come!

Lovely trip across the Mersey, reasonably priced. We also had a lovely cup of coffee in the Fab 4 cafe afterwards, situated in the terminal. Nice addition, putting the Beatles faces on top.

A 50 minute trip was a bargain, especially on a lovely sunny autumnal day. Only marred by the commentary not being in sync with the actual position of the boat, if you didn't know, you be looking at the air vent for the mersey tunnel while the commentary was telling you it was the an old tobacco warehouse and the largest brick building in the world and so forth. All the sights were out of sync. However it was a lovely relaxing trip on the historic 'Ferry across the Mersey' with spectacular views of the historic waterfront.

We were there for the 2023 International Beatles Week festivities and thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing ferry cruise on the Mersey. The ferry was very clean and appeared to be well maintained. I now feel that no visit to Liverpool is truly complete without a nice Mersey ferry ride.

Such a fantastic experience. The staff are amazing too. I had some issues with my online booking and yet their team sorted me out and made my family have the best time ever. If you really want to see the landscape of the city on its true glory this is the experience you need to do. The staff at the ticket office and on the ship could not have been more helpful also. Ladies and gentlemen of Mersey Ferries.... Thank you so much for all your help. Your all a credit to the company. 5 stars all round

A great way to spend an hour. Ferry departs on the hour from the Pier Head and provides some of the best views of the city and surroundings.

I absolutely loved this and if you are new to the city it helps you to understand the waterfront. Absolutely loved the commentary and the lady in the bar area with blonde hair does really good coffees.

Enjoyable but very very busy - not enough seats so a lot of people have to stand. It’s also very choppy and lots of fumes which you’ll breathe in if you’re on the top deck!

We took the fabulous Mersey Cruise on a recent trip to Liverpool. The updated commentary is great, and we got to see the new football stadium too. The ferry now stops at Seacombe, and we took the open top bus into New Brighton - the bus fare was included in the price of the ferry which is great value.

I'm born and raised in Liverpool and I love going on the ferry! The staff that I've come across in the ferry terminals are great and helpful. The ferry itself is potentially the most famous ferry in the world and it's easy to see why. You get brilliant views of the Liverpool waterfront and also of the Wirral. There is a bar on board offering a selection of drinks and snacks, also there are toilets on board that are kept clean. It's worth knowing that it's Β£12 per adult if you turn up to the terminal to by tickets, or if you buy a Mersey travel card for a Β£1 and ask for the all zone day rider you can use the bus, train and ferry for Β£6 - however you will have to get the ferry across to the next terminal, get off and wait an hour before returning on the ferry later on. This is good for exploring the local area depending on where you are.

50 minute Mersey River Cruise, Ferry 'Cross The Mersey. Started from Seacombe terminal, friendly ticket staff and clean building. Lots to see and informative prerecorded commentary was easily heard. Stood on deck then went inside for a warm, radiators were hot and there's coffee for sale in the shop. Stopped at Gerry Marsden terminal then a shorter journey back.

A must do experiment for every visitor to Merseyside! Paul McCartney reportedly spent hours ridding the ferry service while writing songs. I’m not sure that’s true, but it should be.

That was so much fun!!! It takes 50 minutes and we paid Β£12 for an adult. It may look like it’s expensive but definitely worth the experience. You can listen to the tour guide and at the same time take really nice pictures of beautiful Liverpool! We had our tour on a sunny day which I recommend the most!

We recently went in the bay cruise and can highly recommend it . The trip takes you past all the sights and out in to Liverpool Bay giving amazing views of the coast, local wrecks and the shipping. The return journey Back into the River and towards the city is the highlight .

Loved this 50mins trip...it cost Β£11 for an adult ticket...we brought ours from the Ferry Terminal before the trip. We sat on top of the ferry at the front...it was windy/ cold but we had warm clothes on so we were fine....hat / groves a must at this time of year. It wasn't too busy as it was Midweek so that was good with social distance rules. The history voice over was very informative & loved it when they played Gerry & the Pacemakers....FERRY ACROSS THE MERSEY...Classic stuff!! There is a Cafe at the Terminal & toilets too.

Decently priced and very informative. We naturally chose a great time to board. And the British weather didn't disappoint. Rain and fog blew in and we just saw outlines and fog but it was still fun and got to see the skyline many times on this trip anyway. But when in Liverpool have you really visited without talking a ferry.

I love my city and the Mersey Ferries are an iconic part of the whole romance of Liverpool. The staff are courteous. Very well mannered and always happy to help X X. Couldn't ask for a better service. I did manage to get some decent pictures of Disney's cruise liner "magic" whilst on board the ferry.

I would have to give this 5 stars. My wife and I were spending a few days in Liverpool and decided to take an excursion on the Mersey Ferry. Can definitely recommend. The commentary was first class, pointing out all the various points of history.

Good to see that we still are able to claim this area of our city as our own.!!! Much of our River Merseyside is now claimed by Peel Holdings. This small part of our Liverpool World Heritage Port and Riverside is sadly the only part of our main waterfront area not controlled by this off shore banking company.πŸ˜’

I really nice little tour up and down the area, some wonderful views of the city. A bar on board for drinks and snacks which was great. My only fault was I couldn't hear the tour guide Iver the wind and other passengers, not their fault so still a great experience!
