Brilliant museum, passes through the progression of The Beatles, from unknown Quarrymen to the Fab Four.... Great music throughout the experience, with recreated rooms and sets etc.. An audio set with head sets are given at the entrance, these are wiped down at the exit ready for reuse, personally, I used my own earphones. You will enjoy this trip through time especially if you've experienced the Beatles in your youth. At the end there is a 60s style coffee shop selling refreshments and offering restrooms. Recommended, enjoy.

An awesome museum exploring the history of one of, if not the most, famous bands in history. There are plenty of items of memorabilia commemorating the band as well as items used by them and recreations of some of the sites they would have been to while in their prime. A must visit stop for fans of the band, or even if you have a bit of time while in Liverpool this is worth a visit.

Lovingly crafted for fans of The Beatles with recreations of iconic periods of their career including Berlin clubs, the Cavern, Abbey Road etc with a large amount of memorabilia. If you hold more than a passing familiarity with the fab four however, it is a little light on rarer items or information that you haven't picked up already. For the cost of entry for this Beatles fan, I was expecting something a little deeper and less linear. Compared with the multitude of free and inexpensive Beatles attractions the city has to offer, this is definitely the one that feels more like a cash grab. Was well presented though.

Neither of us are great Beatles fans. It was just something we thought we should go and see on a rainy day in Liverpool. It started off well as I am 61 and have a Blue Light Card, so double discount (£19 reduced to £12). The entry fee for my partner was £19. Both entries come with headsets, and to be honest, they worked very well, providing clear information in many languages with an option to pause, rewind, or skip as necessary. You can also adjust the volume of the headset. The tour took us about 1:30hrs to get around. It could take longer if you choose to read information in each of the sections. There is a cafe and shop selling beatles memorabilia at the end of the tour. The staff we had interaction with were very friendly and helpful. For me, it was worth the £12 entry fee. My partner didn't think it was value for money at £19.

Great place to visit, multimedia tour, available in several different languages, lots of useful information, and a full story about the members of the band considered to be one of the icons of music. Over an hour's journey into the world of the Beatles. Unfortunately I do not have enough time to study all very carefully, but I will visit this place again, when I have more time. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed this. The guide was easy to follow, and all the scenes and settings where good. My nephews enjoyed The Yellow Submarine and i loved the kids room that had a piano, guitars and drums to play on, as well colouring sheets and records to play ! The staff also gave the boys some free john lennon glasses !

A brilliant Beatles museum, been at Albert Dock for over 30 years now. Have visited many times over the years since it opened and there's always something different added each time to make the visit worthwhile. Love the added facility now of everyone being kitted out with headphones and a phone like device talking you through each stage of The Beatles career. Good shop stocked with extensive collection of Beatles merchandise, some expensive, some more affordable. Worth a visit for every Beatles fan at a cost of £15 per adult and the tour lasts around 1 hour.

Very good. Lots of interesting stuff. Especially with the digital assistant. Well thought out exhibits. Quite remarkable recreation of the Cavern Club and story of the time. Well worth a visit if you are keen on the Beatles and their story. Nice cup of tea at the end.

This is a must for Rock n Roll and The Beatles fan. Located at the Royal Albert Dock, you can find out the whole journeys of the Beatles since their early years at the Cavern and the story how they inspired and brought the Rock n Roll spirit from Liverpool to every corner all over the whole world.

Great interactive museum. You get a headset to go around with and hear the multifaceted stories of how the beatles came to fame and their journey as a band. Great sets to poke around and plenty to see. Keeps you well entertained for a couple of hours. There's also a little cafe, loos and a great little shop attatched.

Very informative and ties in with the Magical Mystery Tour. Would be nice to have music indoors as you enter because the music outside hypes you up but stops abruptly when you enter. A bit of a mood deflater.

I spent 3 hours here.. Give yourself enough time to fully absorb the story and listen to the audio to get the full picture of the Fab Four. The lifelike sets are amazing. I definitely recommend going. The only downside was too many people acting like they're on a conveyor belt.. You can step aside, take photos, read the detail and take time to listen to audio and observe and feel a part of the history.. Some people looked like they're just rolling through and a few rude tuts when I chose to stop and observe. Perhaps lesser people down there is better. It's all underground, on one level and it takes you through the history, childhood, early days with the Quarry Men, the Cavern, Hamburg, Brian Epstein, etc. Fabulous, and I'd definitely go back again.

"The Beatles" a legendary music band. Audio guide was informative and overall layout and makeover of some iconic spots specially the Cavern Club was compelling. I am not a fan of the Beatles. However, I specially went this museum today in Liverpool to show my appreciation and respect for Ravi Shankar and George Harrison for organising that iconic "The Concert for Bangladesh" on 1st August 1971.Everyone from my country know your name from school for performing in that show. Thank you again for showing us support in our 1971 liberation war.You will forever be remembered in our heart legend George Harrison.

Really good , and for foreign people it's brilliant. You're given headphones and a hand held device you can choose your language. It's right on the dock where the bus tours start, there's so much going on it's unreal. The pictures are from the top of the liverpool eye.

It was lovely to see the various Beatles memorabilia, as well as reproductions of the Mersey Beat offices, Cavern Club and the Abbey Road studio rooftop, and merchandising from years gone by. The audio tour and various displays were informative and entertaining. I especially liked the series of photos of John Lennon in New York, as well as the videos of the boys appearing on the Ed Sullivan show and their invasion of the US. I did wish there was more music available by the Fab 4, but perhaps that is a copyright and payment issue.

A must-see for Beatles fans. Buying tickets in advance is recommended as there may be a wait if the museum gets too crowded. Upon entry, everyone is presented with a complementary audio guide narrated by Julia Baird (John Lennon’s sister) and including voice clips from Paul McCartney, George Martin, Tony Sheridan, Gerry Marsden, and other notable figures in the history of the Beatles. The exhibition itself leads you through the story of the Beatles, starting at the church fete where John met Paul, all the way up to the post-Beatles solo careers of the Fab Four. The exhibition ends in cafe and a gift shop where you’ll find all sorts of Beatles merch.

This is a fun experience for any Beatles fan, however the audio aid has a very simple narrative that most super fans would already know all about, but it is still a lot of fun to walk around and look at all the locations they recreated and there is some great photo spots.

I’d not recommend this place. Very few original memorabilia (mostly posters?) and not as complete as you’d expect for a museum like this. Audio guides are OK and included in the price but without them, the experience would be lacking. The visit takes between 1 and 1.5 hours. There is a small shop at the end

As someone who isn't a big fan of the Beatles, this was still quite interesting. You get an audio guide and select different clips to play throughout. It is very visually pleasing, very bright and colourful and lots to read and see as well as listen to on your way around. We spent just under two hours here but you could easily be there longer

I’ve seen the posters of the Beetles and listened to their songs, but I wasn’t so accustomed to knowing so much about them. I booked my ticket online 🎟 and learned a lot! It is a useful experience and worthy of the price. It was just so nice and felt like home. Learning about the Beetles 🪲 in the hometown Liverpool felt just right and romantic. It was a short convenient trip. I learned about their music, their history and their ways of producing music 🎶. The white room is legendary. Go and see it. When I left, I literally played the Beetles over and over , and it felt so different. Like I know them!

Considering this exhibit/museum has been in existence 30yrs we felt it wasn’t as good as it should be. I understand official Beetles memorabilia is expensive but I felt it should of had more of the real deal. The walking guides/headset is a good idea in principle and it does save them money by not having individual guides walking around spitting out the same stuff over & over, however we felt they didn’t always run in order with the exhibits. For the money I guess it’s worth it but I don’t see it as something you would re-visit. The Cavern re-creation is quite cool, but then you may as well just go to the Cavern! Also, if you’re not too great on your feet it does go on for quite a while, there are places to sit in the Cavern section which is about 25-35 mins in, and again about an hour in when there are aeroplane seats, then again about another 15 mins later when you reach sections on the beetles as individuals. A top tip would be to find out when the least busy times are and go then. I suspect first thing in the morning mid-week. The reason I say this is because it gets quite congested meaning you can’t see and read the displays properly.

Really great experience. Even though I lived through the whole Beatles era, I still learned lots about them. The whole immersive thing was a fun and entertaining way to learn about the band that changed music. I would definitely go again, but next time I would go around the exhibition a lot slower. It took my daughter and I 90 minutes to get around, which in hindsight was far too quick. All in all a great day out! ✨✨✨✨✨

You can easily spend 2 or 3 hours in this place. It give real detailed info about the Beatles from their very, beginning until the breakup. There are sections dedicated to each member and what happened to them after the breakup. They have constructed decor and nice places to sit and listen to parts of the tour here and there. Totally recommend it 😊

It’s so cute and informative. A great story of the greatest musical band ever. You can spend there more than 2 hours if you will listen to all stories on your media guide. And they have lot of languages! If you like their music this a definitely place for you. But the price is too heavy for the museum. It’s £18

This experience was amazing!. You are provided with an audio device and headset which allows you to listen and interact with each section. The set ups and displays are really good. Throughout the experience you get to listen and learn about the story of The Beatles as you make your way around. It's a must for any Beatles fan! At the end, you enter a Beatles themed cafe which was very nice, good decor.

Starting with the price, the standard adult entry is £19.99, and NHS/Blue Light is £15.40 which is a really good saving! We came in knowing next to nothing about The Beatles, and left feeling thoroughly educated and excited with our new-found understanding for their impact on Liverpool. When you come in, you get a headset for a guided tour around the venue, and there’s over 40 individual audio sections to listen to for each exhibit. The set up inside is fantastic - the areas are so realistically created that you really feel like you’re stood on a street outside a bar or inside a music venue, and it adds to the whole experience immensely. The gift shop has a huge array of items to purchase as well, and surprisingly also sells Beatles X Loungefly bags! Overall, it’s a really valuable part of Liverpool’s history, and a fantastic thing to do if you’re visiting the area. We spent about 90 minutes in here and I’d recommend heading down if your here!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Beatles Story Exhibition in Liverpool with my family, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. As a die-hard Beatles fan, I was thrilled to explore the lives and legacy of the Fab Four in such an immersive and comprehensive manner. The exhibition is beautifully curated, showcasing the band's journey from their humble beginnings in Liverpool to their global fame and influence. The museum boasts an impressive collection of memorabilia, including instruments, clothing, handwritten lyrics, and personal belongings of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. It was truly awe-inspiring to see iconic items like John Lennon's round spectacles or the piano used to compose "Hey Jude." The audio guide provided with the ticket was exceptionally informative. It guided me through the various exhibits, offering insights into the band's creative process, their individual personalities, and the cultural impact they had on society. The narration included interviews with band members, their associates, and fans, which added a personal touch and made the experience more intimate. One of the highlights of the exhibition was the replica of the famous Cavern Club, where The Beatles played over 290 times. Stepping into the club, I could almost feel the energy and excitement of their early performances. The attention to detail was outstanding, down to the brick walls and dim lighting, making it a truly immersive experience. The interactive elements of the museum added an extra layer of fun and engagement. I had the opportunity to try my hand at playing some Beatles tunes on a virtual guitar, and I even took part in a mock recording session, which was an absolute blast. The Beatles Story Exhibition is not just about the band's music; it also delves into their cultural impact and how they shaped the world of music and popular culture. It beautifully captures the essence of the swinging sixties and the Beatlemania phenomenon. The staff at the museum were friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about The Beatles. They were more than willing to answer any questions and engage in conversation about the band and their history. Overall, The Beatles Story Exhibition is an absolute must-visit for any Beatles fan.

Accessibility is good. lift access and wheel chairs to use whilst in the exhibition, carer goes free. Don't miss out the children's area on leaving, fab karaoke and dress up section! A few empty spaces where pictures should be in the John & yoko section, the audio description was mixed up, not in line with the lay out or what is displayed. It's a good experience if you don't know much Beatles history. The shop is Amazing! Best variety in one place.

If you're from any generation chances are you know more than one of their songs, but if you were a teenager in the 60's they're a large part of the soundtrack of your youth, and thus never forgotten. No matter who you are this is likely the one place in Liverpool you absolutely must visit. Loved every minute of the self guided tour of memorable photos and exhibits. The digital AV support is excellent and best of all it's at your own pace. MOST EXCELLENT!

Visited today 4th Sep 2020. First time we'd been. Really excellent experience whether you're a beatles fan or not, very informative. Takes a couple of hours to get around and audio headset really good. Covid safe with lots of sanitizer stations, and mandatory face masks to be worn. The only point I would make was, all customers wearing face masks, but no staff?? Which kind of defeats the object. 2 selfish customers not wearing masks and nothing said to them. But apart from that it was covid safe. Definitely recommend a visit.

This venue is based at the Albert Dock in the lower tier of large refurbished warehouse building. Booking currently needs to be made on line in advance due to current safety guidelines. Inside it has been constructed largely to present the feeling of the "Cavern" original site of which is elsewhere in the city. Excellent audio guide with commentary by John Lennons sister guides you through timeline of Beatles history through to the break up & solo careers. Some interesting memorabilia to see as you pass along. As a Beatles "fan" I didn't learn alot I didn't know already but enjoyable anyway. Towards the end of the tour there is a photo gallery with some wonderful photos of Johns time (& Yoko) in New York. Souvenir shop & cafe at end of tour just before you exit. Enjoyable & interesting whether a fan or not & recommended.

Great experience for any beatles fans. Very informative with lots of photo opportunities. Many replicas of famous beatles landmarks, along with real memorabilia and items owned by the beatles themselves. There also was a cafe and shop after the tour with lots of merchandise any beatles fan would love. Overall my daughter loved it (she is a massive beatles fan!) And would definitely come again.

If your a Beatles fan then this is for you. There's loads of things to look at, lots of information too. And you can walk round at your own pace. You get headphones to listen to as you walk. Well worth a visit.

A great couple of hours in the heart of the Albert Docks. The tour has audio and video tracks to accompany the very detailed reconstruction of the sights and sounds of The Beatles meteoric career trajectory. Well worth the entrance fee, lovely cafe and reasonably priced gift shop

Great experience for Beatles fans and even those that aren't. Lots of memorabilia and film, you walk around with headphones and screen so you can find out about all the exhibits. Nice gift shop at the end.

A must when in Liverpool wether you are a fan or not. Colourful, instructive and a superb audio device which is included in the admission price. Really instructive and full of never known or of forgotten facts. Brilliant attraction to visit.

Was amazing. This visit was our second. This time we came with my disabled senior brother-in-law, a lifetime fan from Uruguay. Dancing in his lounge to Rock and Roll he fell in love with Beatles songs. Was a very emotional visit. So well done with so much information. Hats off to the whole team that made the visit memorable.

If you are visiting this part of England and thinking of visiting Liverpool, this is a 'must' do place to visit. Liverpool is all about the Greatest Rock Band in the world - and you will learn everything you need to about them in this very well presented venue. Great value for money, and best 2 hours in a museum he kids have enjoyed for a long time. Its a history lesson for people of all ages and from all backgrounds.

What a fantastic experience for anyone and everyone! I’m a huge Beatles fan, but my partner not so much, yet we both loved our time here so much. The staff were friendly and polite, and helped us initially with our headsets and keypads for the audio-based tour. The artefacts, rebuilt scenes and sets and general trivia and information around the place is spectacular and unrivalled. This really is a whistle-stop tour of the Beatles lives from starting the band until 1970, and beyond in John’s case. The amount of information to take in is unbelievable, and it would truly take a few visits to soak it all in. The audio tour is brilliant and cannot be missed out on. Hearing the voices of George Martin, Brian Epstein, Cynthia Lennon and other people involved in the Beatles lives is key to the experience. I certainly learnt plenty, even as an avid fan, and would totally recommend the visit to all. The only thing I would say is that it isn’t focused on the music. The place glossed entirely over many albums, and is more about the journey and people behind their story than the actual songs themselves. The Fab4 Cafe and Fab4 Store were also brilliant, and the shop in particular had some really nice bespoke items that I couldn’t have found elsewhere. A great day out - thank you.

Great for knowing the history of the beatles but more genuine items would be better

I’m not exactly a fan of The Beatles. Know the band, recognise a few songs and can even hum alongside a few, but can’t say I would faint if I saw them 🙂 Nonetheless, when in Liverpool… Bought the tickets online, but there was no queue at the entrance. There were a few people visiting the museum, but in certain rooms I was all by myself (which was excellent as I had plenty of space to roam around and read all the stories). The visit is self guided with headphones - I had time to play and repeat if I wished and I enjoyed the sound effects in some rooms (the fan’s madness was something out of this world). It took me roughly 2 hours to see everything, but didn’t stop at the café. There is a shop at the end where you can enter directly from outside. Real fans might say more but I was happy with the time I spent there. Gave me an idea of how the band came together, when they split and what happen to each one until now.

Absolutely amazing place. Transported me to another world. The recreation of the Cavern Club is beautiful. I enjoyed playing the piano in the cafe too.

It was a nice was to spend a few hours, the artifacts are amazing. If you're a Beatles fan, you've heard the story, but there is so much to read and take in. At the end is an exhibit dedicated to each members solo career.

  • 5/5 Vincenzo S. 1 year ago on Google
This museum is so fascinating. There are steps you can listen to thanks to a device that will be given to you upon commencing the tour. There will be pieces donated, transcriptions, unknown or forgotten details regarding their history. Although the device had a missing part of the tour in my opinion, the yellow Submarine period. Staff is nice enough and I suggest you to grab your tickets trough some vouchers that can save you some bucks sometimes.

Maybe the one of the best museums experiences I’ve had. Definitely worth it for the money. The whole story is amazing and is very well put into together. The shop is also amazing in the end. Highly recommend

Great museum if that's the right word. The sets are both impressive and informative. The tour comes with an audio and video headset which makes the whole experience fully interactive. Several of the sets are really good and time spent on the café allows you to reflect on the whole visit.

Went to this exhibition on Good Friday and we were impressed and also learned some details about the Beatles that we did not know before. This exhibit is done vet well and you can see that a lot of effort was put into this to be able to share with the world. The audio guide is narrated in part by George Martin Brian Epstein. Getting some insight to how they began as children and how they met each other. The exhibit is both tasteful and highly informative and transports you back in time. Have a visit here you will find it to be time and money well spent.

Regardless of if you are into the Beatles or not this is an interesting museum located next the the docks. There's plenty of paid car parks really close. The museum is down stairs and has multiple rooms with lots of information and items relating to the Beatles with the cavern reproduced. There's a cafe / restaurant in the venue with toilets limited menu but ok for a quick bite, as you leave there a gift shop with loads of bits and pieces.

  • 3/5 Kayla J. 10 months ago on Google
Overpriced. Quite expensive for what it is. A lot of photos of things, not a lot of actual items. The audio tour was not quite synced to the locations, not well paced. Some things went a little long and other things did not have any description. Meant everyone was bunched up at the start. You would finish looking at something and then be stuck with the audio still going. The signage was literally what the audio tour was saying.

Excellent stop for any level of Beatles fan. I have seen many Beatles exhibits in U.S. museums, but this experience was my favorite. Loved the recreated settings and scenes and learned more fab four facts. Priced was good and souvenir shop was very very reasonable. There are other shops in Liverpool charging much more for the same merch, and appreciate that this museum isn't jacking up prices. Also, bonus that this is located in Albert Docks which is a place to visit in itself. Highly Recommend!

A great trip down memory lane where you remember how much you love The Beatles. Great way of learning their history by a headphone tour. I highly enjoyed it and the pricing is fair.

We went inside mainly because my girlfriend wanted it badly so here we went. To be honest wasn't expecting to be as awesome as it was. Very well organised, curated and explained throughout via a audio tour. It spans from before they were famous until well after they were not a band anymore. Enormous amount of memorabilia, videos, audios of them and people closely associated with them. In truth everything was excellent and well worth it. If you do know the whole story, if you are a true fan or even if you are mildly interested as I am, I promise you, you will love the experience!

A must for anyone who has even a little interest in the fab four...it's basically a chronological walk through their careers. Lots of interesting info & good exhibits. At the exhibition you'll be given headphones and an audio/visual description to take around with you. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't heaving, was able to take our time, take some pics and enjoy the experience. Gift shop wasn't ridiculously priced either, which was a nice change to many others.

Fantastic experience and lots to learn here at the Beatles Story Museum. Definitely recommend visiting when in Liverpool. Great set up as they gave you headphones and a phone like device that talks you through each part of the museum. Audio, visual and reading really adds to the experience at the museum. Spent just over 2 hours in here, well worth the price of £19 a ticket.

We didn't like the earphone idea. Bunny only used them up to number 5, Bear took his off shortly thereafter. Neither of us can remember a thing we heard as we were reading and looking but not really listening. It would have been nicer if each room had a story playing or if it were interactive. We enjoyed the layout and the history though.

  • 5/5 Pradeep 8 months ago on Google
Booked online. Arrived early and the staff were very accommodating and let us in. Loved the layout. Spent about 90 minutes which was enough time. The location is easy to find. If you're a Beatles fan or interested in how they came together and the vans rise & eventual break up, well worth a visit.

We weren't sure if the kids (ages 7 and 9) would engage with this but they loved it! Lots of interesting facts and the experience was enjoyed by all. You receive a headset to listen to each attraction as you go around with extra info to read along the way.

  • 5/5 Priya C. 7 months ago on Google
Great museum with a helpful audio guide given to listen to, with so much detail! The different rooms were amazing and also liked the gift shop for souvenirs.

  • 3/5 Olga L. 6 months ago on Google
Generally interesting but is not worth the money they charge since it's a really small museum. Very poor system with booking too, long queues are unavoidable and seem unreasonable.

  • 5/5 Angela H. 6 months ago on Google
Very very interesting! Gets busy, but they are great at only letting so many at a time in so that you don't get pushed thru.. Good audio tour takes you thru all the added info and facts as you view exhibition.. Nice 'cafe' at the end (I liked the chairs and pinball 😉) *I have purposely not posted too many pics of inside as I think it's better you experience it yourself.

  • 4/5 D T. 5 months ago on Google
Only a small museum but it's got some good exhibits that belonged to the Beatles, guitars and whatnot. Only complaint is that since they introduced audio guides, people tend to stand round blocking the rooms, oblivious to anyone around them. Would be better to get rid of them.
