Wowie this place is tall. When I saw it, it took my by surprise the atmosphere was electric the ambiance sublime really enjoyed the way it over looked whole city. unfortunately the journey to get there was hell, I hate to say it BUT the traffic was quite simply a disgrace. 35 minutes waiting to pull on to St John's Beacon Liverpool and at that point it's dizzying heights fell on deaf ears. Maybe next time 3/5 *

Definitely worth a visit when you are in Liverpool! You can view all the historic landmarks like cathedral, St George hall, Royal liver building, lime street station.. The view here is amazing, especially on a sunny day ☀️. The entrance was hard to find, but the staff very really helpful and allowed me to stay longer since there was less crowd. Considering the price (£7), it's more than worth it.

Great experience and an ideal way to see the city of Liverpool and the many famous sights. There are info boards around the perimeter of the viewing gallery explaining what you can see which was great. Well worth the price in my opinion. My only comment for improvement would be to ensure the windows are clean as some of them were quite dirty which of course is not ideal when wanting to see the view.

Fantastic experience. £13 for two people, views of Liverpool are incredible, a must for anybody wishing to visit the city We where fortunate enough to visit on a clear day so could see all the way out to Wales! No rush. Walk around as many times as you want, with an audio track playing with the history of the beacon. My mum has waited since 1966 watching it get built to see from the top, was not disappointed

400ft above the city offering 360 degree views of the city and surrounding areas. We had clear weather so had great views and it is great to see attractions and buildings from above allowing you to experience a unique view that most will not. I’m not good with heights but I felt calm and safe as you are in a completely enclosed walk way, it feels like an office (but with spectacular views). No stairs involved, a very quick lift ride up/down. It is worth noting that the tower is still actively used for radio broadcasting and you can peer through windows to see the broadcasting rooms.

Had been thinking about visiting here for a long time but never really got round to doing it. It's certainly worth a visit and at £7 for an adult a free for younger children, it is good value too. There's no time limit for your visit so you can spend as long as you like up there. Once at the top, you get great views of all the famous city attractions, North Wales, Lancashire and the Pennines. Well worth a visit.

Amazing views of Liverpool. The Cathedral was just stunning to see. We went on a sunny day so it was a bit hazy, but amazing to see Liverpool anyway. Good prices too. You can pay online or in person at the desk. Price is £7 each.

It took me quite a number of years to take the punt and go up to the top of this and I’m glad I finally did. Being scared of heights was a deterrent as it is for most tower climbs but the views of Liverpool are magnificent no matter which direction you look. It cost around £7 to go up and it’s more than worth it! I’d love to return and head up for sunset and into the evening in the coming months when the weather warms up.

Amazing!!! I am 40 years old and live 5 minutes away from this and I have only just had my 1st visit! I do not like heights but found it easier after walking around a couple of times. The views are absolutely stunning. Definitely recommend this. You have free time up in the viewing gallery and just let the staff know when you want to take the lift back down.

This is a must if visiting Liverpool, we went on a Friday and hadn't booked, we paid on the door and went straight in. No ques. There is perfect views for miles. I definitely recommend going even if you don't like heights and you can spend as much time up there as you like.

Absolutely stunning view from up above, given as much time as you want and staff are so friendly! Getting up is quick and easy and you choose when you’re ready to come down and are escorted by staff . Would definitely recommend stopping by here if you can for the view!

Lovely views out into the city. £7 each so not badly priced. Major landmarks were sign posted with a picture and description.

One of my favourite things to do in Liverpool! You get to see it all from a different perspective! It was a very windy day when we were up here and you could feel it moving a little! The staff were lovely and they allow you to walk round again if you want to.

Brilliant attraction for anyone in Liverpool. If you visit on a clear and sunny day, you can see the blackpool tower (albeit a speck). The staff at the top of the beacon were incredibly friendly offering us any assistance and giving us information about the area. Great to see information boards as we walked around giving information about the history of the area and the tower! The price was cheap and definitely good value for what you can see. Overall - incredible value, well worth going!

Best value for money when wanting to see Liverpool from the sky! I really recommend taking time to look out and spot landmarks or points of interest in the distance, using online maps to locate them for more information. On a clear day you can see Snowdonia to the west and Blackpool Tower to the north. Best to time when you go on a sunny day - you may end up with sun in your eyes as the sun starts setting in the late afternoon, making the Mersey/Pier Head attractions harder to see or photograph.

Absolutes "must-do" in Liverpool. Tolle Aussicht, insbesondere bei gutem Wetter. Man bekommt einen schönen Überblick über die Stadt! Preise nicht günstig, aber okay.

Great views and the staff are all very nice. The glass was being cleaned all the time which I thought was great! I think it was a bit expensive for a ride in a lift and a look out of a window but my partner thought it was reasonable.

If you want a great view over Liverpool, this is it. After a very smooth guided lift ride you can walk around the interior perimeter. There are plenty of pictures showing the changing skyline over the years and some interesting info regarding local sights. The view was fantastic and we soon found ourselves spotting familiar landmarks. Well worth the fee.

Amazing views of Liverpool from above. The lift took only a couple of minutes to get to the viewing area. There are plaques with information on the views. Staff walk around on a regular basis cleaning the windows (the inside ones only 😁) A Great attraction for visitors to this fine city to pay a visit to remember, take plenty of photographs. On the way out you are given a voucher for a 20% discount on your next visit or to pass on to friends and family. Tip... I was given a voucher by an gentleman on his way out so I did the same when I left. 😁

Amazing views. You can spot most of the sights of Liverpool from here. There are little signs with the picture of the sight and some information of it. It was absolutely worth it. It is also a working radio station so you might catch them at work. We went with three kids, the age range being 4 to 10. They all loved it.

Great views, even though it was raining. The staff were friendly and happy to answer questions, well worth the ride in the rickety old lift to get to the top.

Some really amazing Liverpool skyline views from the tower... I visited the tower in day time and had some mesmerizing views and I am sure it will look even better in the lights, I didn't have time to check that out... They have elevator to the top so not issues for visitors with disability. It is just walkable from train station hardly 5-8 mins walk... Smiling and helpful staff is there to guide you or help you with any information you need .. Recommended for sure!! 1 star reduced as I felt 7 GBP per adult was bit overpriced for just the tower.

Panoramic views from the top of the tower. Great for visitors to pick out the main Liverpool landmarks. Was a revolving restaurant in the 70s. Now a radio station. Helpful friendly staff.

Left it until late afternoon so the street lights would be coming on made it for me a better experience. Could see almost for ever😁 Staff are all very nice. Will do it again soon.

What a gem, brilliant views on a clear day we could see as far away as Blackpool tower in the distance, the lakes and Snowdonia. No toilets or cafe but folk took up their packed lunches to eat whilst watching the city of Liverpool from a birds eye view. Lift only takes a matter of seconds. Would highly recommend on a good clear day. Reasonably priced.

Grandaughter wanted to go up but panicked and started crying and didn't want to go. She is 6 years old. Asked if we could have the £12 I had just paid refunded. The girl on the desk (Vikki) said it couldn't be refunded even though we hadn't moved from the desk. I think this is absolutely disgusting 😠

Helps if you go on a sunny day with clear skies. Better still if you are also seeing the Giants who visited Liverpool. Can you see one in the photo? Not sure I would do it twice but just has to be done. Great value. 😊

In the tower you can get a almost 360° view of the city. You can see most of the cities famous buildings, see the outskirts of the city such as Anfield and Goodison stadium, North Wales. It is very weather dependent so come in clear skies and nit too bright. The windows could do with a clean and there isn't much else to do apart from the view. It can get crowded but the staff managers it quite well.

A great place to visit, especially on a clear day. There's no limit on how long you can stay up and it's fascinating how far you can see. The entrance was tricky to find but the greeters were very friendly.

The man showing us round was very helpful, I think it was £7 entry and you can go around more than once! Look out for the Anglican Cathedral, you can't miss it! It's huge! Big red thing, take a photo!

  • 4/5 sharon m. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely views of the city would have been five star if u would have gone at a sunrise or sunset. There is nothing to do other then view once you get up there & no food is allowed. Wd be good if you could grab a coffee up there to & sit down to appreciate the views better too.
