Such a vibe! We went to the makers market mid-September and it was so lovely. I really enjoyed the vendors and the building was gorgeous.

Fantastic venue and a really powerful reminder of the impact of the war on this city. They have a wide number of events here, and there are some really cool sculptures (see photo of the soldiers shaking hands). Definitely worth a visit if you’re travelling to Liverpool.

Beautiful building, one of the must see sights of Liverpool if you're in the area. I used to come and walk through after college waiting for my bus, really relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Ironically for a tourist attraction it's pretty quiet most of the time.

Beautiful Historical building. Didn't have a chance to go in due to the time of year, but will definitely be back to see more. There are events and concerts inside during the summer months, can't wait to see those.

Beautiful part of Liverpool, really showcases the impact the war had on the country. I'd recommend looking into the history of the Cathedral before your visit, it'll make the experience even more memorable!

Amazing to see now life in the ruins of a church that was bombed in World War II. Years of walks past the structure, but I'd never actually been inside of it and the fair that was on made great use of the space, while still being respectful to its status. I'm looking forward to attending more events inside the church.

St Luke's Church suffered major damage during WW2 and it was not rebuilt so as to show the folly and waste of war. While quite a lot, including the Christmas truce statue by Andy Edwards, can be seen from outside it is worth paying the small entrance fee to see inside. There is also a nice cafe and garden area. At the time if our visit there was also artwork, by Tony Phillips, on the some if the walls - see one of the pics for more detail.

Lovely church , the bombed out section has been converted into an open space and is very scenic, great for photos. Unfortunately there was a weird market selling tat in the middle when we went which blocked the views of the church so I would suggest visiting when that is not on. Outside there is an amazing statue commemorating the Christmas truce between the British and Germans during WW1 and it is worth visiting just for that.

This bombed out church is a must see. The outer walls still standing but inside ruined. In the middle of Liverpool.

Quite interesting as a historic record of the destruction world war 2 caused. Still used for certain purposes as a church with a very different feel.

Interesting sight for a quick visit. I like the symbolic nature of it. Pleasant garden around to sit for a coffee. We didn't enter the church itself because there was some exhibition and entry cost 10£ which doesn't seem worth it.

Beautiful gem of a place! Small donation on entry and a great quick visit. Get given a laminated sheet with information of the church and it's history. A must go!

Local historic landmark, church suffered bomb damage in WW2. Memorial site now used for occasional public events. A night under the star's listening to the tenors was very intimate.

Great building and a great event. My one crit is the bar. I don't like an intrusive app even though looks like everyone else did... Nice chips too.

Really interesting church / landmark, worth going in and taking a look. It's a £1 recommended donation. They do live events there and there's a bar behind it.

A lovely peaceful place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. A bombed out church, with some moving monuments in the grounds. Tables, chairs, a bar serving hot and cold drinks, alcoholic or non. Portaloos on site.

There was a beautiful vigil held in memory of 280+ medical workers killed in Palestine. It was peaceful and eloquently spoken about. It was a joy to share my time there. I would recommend going if you're feeling overwhelmed with the atrocities going on at the moment.

A wonderful structure that was a victim of war. Celebrate its beauty and the reason for its present existence.

It's a great piece of history. There is not much to see but the remains of the bombed church. You have to pay £2 to enter the church.

Nice building, especially when the sky is blue. Could have cleaned the mess in my opinion, some lose pellets and not so relevant fences. Free access, optional donation.

It would have been good to look inside the church and grounds but unfortunately all the entrances were locked, so we had to view from beyond the railings. The church was built between 1811 and 1832 but the Germans decided to bomb it during the blitz of 1941. It remained derelict for over 60 years until being cleared and apparently transformed. Don't understand why there isn't open access.

A beautiful piece of history and architecture. The fact that they have left the church standing as a reminder to the devastation of war is truly moving and it really is a gripping and emotional site to visit while in Liverpool.

I've wanted to go here for a very long time. First time today in the bombed out church. The architecture and soldier status were beautiful. Very well organised event. The girls from Edge Hill University who performed Shout were all very talented young ladies with amazing voices. Wish them huge success. Enjoyed every minute.

Unfortunately the garden cafe wasn't open on my visit but the location is so central it's still worth a peek if your in town.

Amazing historical building. Friendly bar staff. From what I understand, they also host films and other events as well. It's well worth stopping in and seeing what's going on.

Lovely setting, just let down by stinking chemical toilets and lack of interaction with the staff

Lovely time at hand crafted market today. Plenty of stores and loads to see. Lovely traders and things for all ages.

We absolutely love working with the team at the Bombed Out Church because they are accommodating, ambitious and really care about the history and heritage of the site. Their incredible vision and exciting future plans for the church wouldn't be possible without their fastidious approach to community engagement and involving local stakeholders. Long may their work continue!

Nice seating area outside, plenty of parasols for sunny weather and it had such a chilled vibe. The toilets were the worst sadly, being a port a toilet where no water to wash hands, and the toilet didn't work.

Such a wonderful piece of history and architecture. This church is unique, beautiful, the grounds are well kept and lovely memorials. There are often events held here from cinema nights, shows, food &drink, music and now weddings what a beautiful way to spend your big day. Not only that it sits at one of the busiest streets in Liverpool 'Bold Street' you'll find plenty of independent restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Including vintage clothes shops, saloons, crystal shops- theres an incredible mix of both old and new!
