This is a beautiful hall and country park, a wonderful green space in the heart of Liverpool. Brilliant for dog walking picnics and days out. There is a small cafe and on the last Sunday of the month a Makers Market. The perfume stall is amazing. The bathroom and toilets were in a decent state, despite the foul weather. Word of warning, phone reception isn't great here and no public WiFi.

Beautiful park. Visited for the first time. Easy access by car, with plenty of free parking space. Ice cream vans, coffees and toilets with disabled access. The Hall building is nice, unfortunately it is closed now due to the COVID19 pandemic. Great fun for families with kids, or for a long walk or taking a bicycle ride around. There's a farm, what is also a good family program.

Lovely park well maintained, plenty of places to sit. Also there are highland cows so that's a plus 😁

This park is a fantastic place to spend your day! It has beautiful gardens, a great kids play area and lots of trails to walk, cycle and explore. You can even have a picnic in the courtyard or in the park on one of the many benches available. The coffee cart and toilets are clean and well-maintained. The best part? There's loads of free parking! So come on down and enjoy a day of fun and adventure at this amazing park! 🌳🌺🚴‍♀️🧑‍🤝‍🧑🧒👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Outstanding farm experience for my children, lots of animals, close up and hungry. Animal feed available at £2 for a huge pot of carrots. Very low cost for the whole family. Disabled access too. Nice cafe at the end too within budget. Lovely staff and they got out some of the rabbits and guinea-pigs for the kids to stroke at the end. Also some free roaming animals including an escapee lamb, chickens and a peacock 🦚. Animals clearly looked after well and cared for. Thankyou

Great place for walks & bike rides. A big park and then there’s a little pirate park on your way out from the west derby village gate. Has an animal farm on side where kids can go pet & feed farm animals, some cafe’s too on site! Perfect spot for kids

Lovely park with lots of animals and beautiful things to see around the grounds and a couple of kids parks to keep everyone entertained. The hall itself is spectacular to look at and has an ice cream and don't van next to it to fill your boots when it gets too warm or too cold. Free car parking too! A great day out for all.

Excellent for early morning walks, jogs or cycling. Very peaceful and quiet, later on gets quite busy though. It is an excellent green space for the area! Just watch out for litter... the only down side.

Went for the first time ever today for Parkrun. Lovely scenic park and I would return. Plenty of free parking at 9am. However please note the access road is poorly maintained with numerous potholes and severe speed bumps like mountains. I went over at approximately 3-4 mph and they were horrific. If you have a car with a low front end this access road is awful. Apart from that this is a nice park and I would return

EDIT 8/7/23 They have fixed the road into the main car park 👍 We love this place. Lovely if you want a nice long walk, they've got a path that more or less goes right around the outside of the whole place. Takes a good hour or two. They really, REALLY need to fix the rest of the drive in though. They've done a lot of work on it recently but there's still a big bit full of holes near the car park - if you hit one of them you might lose a wheel lol.

A really nice country park with the magnificent Croxteth Hall at its centre. Animal farm too. A little gem.

Large park, which is clean and well-maintained. Parking is free, but the speed bumps and pot holes on the way in are horrendous. There is a pleasant waymarked 5km walking/cycling route through the woods.

Fantastic park. Great flora and fauna, birds. Well kept. Great number of pathways. Cafe is quaint. Good spots for picnics. Many dog walkers around.

Beautiful and quiet minus all the kids around. It’s a shame the hall isn’t open though.

A lovely relaxing picnic with family and friends. If I have one criticism and it's not directed at the park but at the people that frequent it...pick your litter up!! We spent most of our time at the children's play area and had to clear the area of crisp and sweet packets and drink containers... This should be a safe and clean space for our kids

We went to the craft fair on Sunday, the 1st one to be held in the grounds. Arrived late morning and had already started to get busy. A wide range of artisan arts and crafts ranging from cakes, jewellery, paintings, candles and burners and of course food. Well worth the visit but could do with more refreshment vans (make sure you take plenty to drink). Dog friendly but wheelchair/buggy use was difficult because of the cobbles. By the time we left which was 2ish it was very busy and car park was heaving. A good day out

Best local farm I’ve been to on multiple occasions, very reasonable entry fee and you can buy bags of food to give to the animals to get you involved, animals look well cared for (would have been 4 or 5 stars if the pens were clean). Lovely grounds and play area. Definitely better pre-pandemic, wasn’t too keen on the one way system or that the owls were not available anymore.

A glorious building in the middle of a impressive park. Lots of things for adults and children and a fantastic cafe. Great walks unfortunately we went on a rainy day but I can imagine on a sunny day the ere would be more to see. Well worth the journey from Manchester. Beautiful gardens at the rear of house and spend time here,it's so amazing to see the plants and the effort bt the gardening team.

Nice park, always an ice cream van there. Nice cafe, now from a van, seating great place to chill with the kids, little baby area and bigger swings for the other animals 🤣🤣

Free entry to the grounds and farm. Small animal petting zoo included with fully trained staff who knew about the animals they were caring for. Cobbles can be difficult for wheelchairs and buggies but not impossible. Worth a visit.

The farm is well worth a visit and on a nice sunny day enjoy the grounds. Free parking too!

Great park I grew up by it, two kids playgrounds, cafe, farm and a house tour.

Croxteth Hall is perfect for families with young children Play area; Two play areas one designed for babies and the other toddler plus. Babies had swings, climbing frame/ slide and see-saw The 'bigger' was really great for my toddler as she could access the lower platforms and climb with ease. This was larger with multiple slides and climbing things. Also had 2 swings and a disabled adapted swing for wheelchairs. Farm; costs entry pp optional food bowl too The farm is well maintained and houses a variety of farm animals including rare/ endangered farm animals. You can feed them and touch (with care) throughout. At the end there is a petting area for rabbits and guinea pigs. Farm cafe; there is a lovely cafe serving hot/ cold sandwiches and more. Children's lunchbox was ideal for us- sandwich, cupcake, crisp and a drink Picnic areas and plenty of green space to run around Things to note- the hall is currently closed and at peak times parking could be limited but we didn't have an issue

This is one of my favourite parks. Our typical day out involves a walk to the swings, a couple hours in the farm and then go explore the grounds around the house.a nice cheap day out for the kids.

A real gem of a place, plenty to do here as a family. There's ample parking, its very well looked after and maintained and very clean and tidy. It was our first visit here after recently moving to the area and won't be our last. The farm is a fantastic place for adults and children, and after walking around the farm the little cafe attached to it is very good too. All the food we ordered was good. We will be returning to explore the rest of this vast estate.

A really lovely hall and gardens only spoiled by the fact that the hall is closed for visitors. Free parking, cafe at farm, snacks and drinks in courtyard, children's play park, walled kitchen gardens, arboretum, parkland with lots of walking space and home to Myerscough college at Croxteth Park.

I've been twice to this park, I feel its missing a lot of opportunities. Its a lovely, nice sized park, but its lacking TLC, everywhere is a mess, there's so much litter than it's concerning to wild life. The rivers are green, but that's normal as its part of nature. Its just needs sorting out. The roads are awful with so many pot holes too. I'd suggest to anyone reading this from the council, the place needs investment.
