It was great to see how Paul spent a small period of his life. His story was fascinating. This was mainly down to the quality of the guide. She was excellent. No pictures can be taken inside which is a shame but I understand the reasoning. As it is quite small, not sure I need to go back but this is a MUST for all fans of the Beatles and John Lennon

Everyone knows the famous Paul McCartney from The Beatles, but not everyone has had a tour around his childhood home! The tour is fantastic, and during it you will learn about what the rooms were used for and some more backstory to McCartney. You will not regret the experience and you will always remember it!

We visited George Harrison's old house yesterday on the Beatles Story experience and it was a great trip. Quaint little place and our guide was wonderful, Tony told us all the stuff we needed to know about the Beatles.

Paul's childhood home, now in the care of the National Trust. It was an emotional experience visiting the place where Paul lived and created some of his music. A fun and informative guided tour is provided. Highly recommended.

Not the biggest Beatles fan in the world but the national trust guides made this a memorable experience. Only National trust members are allowed into John and Paul's houses. Fantastic experience, if your going to go, go with national trust tour bus

Had a great time. Go to the National Trust website to get inside as well as John's house. The caretakers are phenomenal people. Liverpool was the best.

Need to book in advance at the National Trust website but the ticket includes tours of Lennon & McCartney's childhood homes. Guides are incredibly knowledgeable and this is a precious piece of Beatles history forever preserved by the National Trust. (No photography inside the premises is allowed).

The most important house in Liverpool. So much history.

One of Paul McCartneys childhood homes...Only visited as part of a Liverpool tour, hence I didnt go inside. According to the guides it's now a heritage site and accessible by the public. Closed when we went but still a cool thing to visit. Inside is not genuine but is of the period (50s), again; according to guides.

What can I say, it's Macca's house. The legend that is Sir Paul McCartney.

Fantastic experience with the National Trust (which is the only way you can go inside). I am not a Beatles fanatic but have wanted to do this for a while. Definitely worth it!

As a part of my Sperm Donation World Tour of the UK, I come to the rock'n'roll heartland where there is so much Beatlemania living on. I came to Sir Paul Mccartney's childhood home, where it is believed that over 100 of the beatles songs were created.

It's private house. Maximum whay do you can is to make picture near the legendary place. I was in tour group from Beatles History Museum. It takes two hours and you get all houses and strawbery field. Each house takes 5 minutes stop and small guide conversation about. 5 stars for funs of The Beatles.

Paul McCartney's home, where he and John Lennon wrote some early Beatles' songs. If you're a Paul McCartney or a Beatles fan, you'll definitely enjoy visiting here. I would recommend visiting on a tour, so you can get some stories of what transpired while he lived there.

To visit the inside, you need to book a tour from the National Trust website. We got the bus from Speke Hall to hear and Paul McCartney home. The house is small but full of character! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and made us so welcome.

Great way to see the house Paul grew up in and wrote many songs. To enter the house rather than just see it, you must apply to the national trust.

My girlfriend booked us tickets to come here. I've lived in Liverpool my whole life, and I've never been on a Beatles tour. We both really enjoyed it. The guides Andy and I can't remember the other gents name (sorry!) Are very knowledgeable. The tour felt very personal due to the small number of people in the group. Cleg who drives the bus is great too, who also knew his stuff. It is a must if you are a big Beatles fan, or even if you're not it is still a good experience. It's also worth mentioning that if you have a National Trust card you pay £11 per person, or £30 per person if you haven't. That is for both John Lennons and Paul McCartneys homes.

The childhood home of arguably one of the most famous musicians of all time. A nice stop for fans of the band and it can be easily missed if you do not know where to look.

This was a truly memorable visit for us 4 Beatles' Fans! Our guide's knowledge and enthusiasm brought the Fab Four's story to life. A real nostalgia trip!! Small groups are essential to the enjoyment of any visit and the work of The National Trust here, is on going, a real commitment.

My Dad and I booked a tour of The Beatles Childhood Homes through the National Trust to find out more about the history of the Beatles and what life was like at The Mendips and also at 20 Forthlin Road. The guide was very knowledgeable and he gave us a tour of rooms of the house which included the kitchen, the sitting room where TV dinners took place after Mary, Paul's Mum died, the dining room, one of the bedrooms and the Parlour where Love Me Do and I Saw Her Standing There was composed. The wallpaper in the Parlour was brought end of the roll as at the time, buying a full roll of wallpaper was expensive and instead of buying new carpet, old pieces of carpet were sewn together and rolled up every time the family moved house. It was a house full of music and Paul's brother, Mike was a photographer. Mike first started developing his photos in his bedroom and many of Mike's photographs can be seen on the walls of the house, including one of Paul climbing through the bathroom window via the drainpipe in his drainpipe trousers. We then listened to a recording of Paul's home life on the radio, before the guide said his farewells to everyone and we took some photos before getting back on the bus. A definite must visit for any Beatles fans. Thanks to all involved. 😊

The childhood home of Paul McCartney and the birthplace of the Beatles. Totally unique and a must for any fan of music. Need to book in advance through the National Trust

Amazing to see the house where over 100 songs were written. I wasn't able to go inide as our tour didn't accomodate it but my imagination ran away just observing the structure. Paul's room is above the main door.

Ok, it's a terraced house but it's where Paul McCartney grew up and if your in Liverpool it's worth a look. 👍

I wasn't even visiting as a Beatles fan, I just wanted to immerse myself into post war housing and family life. The story attached to this 'Proud' house is really moving and left me appreciating them a little more. I'd recommend this trip with National Trust

Loved the tour of the house. There are photos that were taken inside of Paul and John that have been placed on the walls showing them having fun and making music together.

Paul McCartney lived here in his childhood, the beginning of big things for his future. Host was brilliant and had loads of information and history.

Paul's childhood home. As a Beatles fan, it was amazing to be here. My mind completely changed after being here, and now some lyrics have a picture, a place, and some answers.

Are you a Beatles fan? Paul McCartney? If so, you've got to go. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny. Just go!
