THIS
PLACE
DISCRIMINATES
AGAINST
KIDS
WITH
ALLERGIES
AND
ASKS
THEM
TO
EAT
OUTSIDE
IN
THE
CAR
PARK
LIKE
THEY'RE
LESSER
HUMAN
BEINGS.
A
SPECIAL
MENTION
HAS
TO
GO
TO
BARRY
-
THE
SIA
BADGED,
WANNABE
HARDCASE
WHO
THINKS
HE'S
ON
CONCERT
SQUARE,
OFFERING
PARENTS
WITH
YOUNG
KIDS
FIGHTS
OUTSIDE.
My
partner
and
I
visited
this
place
with
our
3
year
old
and
10
month
old
who
both
have
a
long
list
of
potentially
life
threatening
allergies,
alot
of
which
aren't
in
the
typical
top
14.
Upon
arrival
my
partner
asked
for
two
coffees
with
oat
milk
and
she
was
told
they
don't
have
it.
We
checked
the
menu
for
any
treats
that
the
kids
could
have
and
there
was
nothing.
My
lad
seen
everyone
else
having
treats
and
asked
if
he
could
have
one
of
his
allergy
friendly
cookies.
My
partner
took
them
out
the
bag
to
give
him
one
and
the
doorman
came
over
saying
"No
outside
food!"
to
which
she
explained
that
our
kids
are
under
Alder
Hey
and
have
a
long
list
of
allergies,
informing
that
they
have
Epipens
in
the
bag.
He
then
said
"They'll
have
to
eat
outside
as
the
rules
are
no
outside
food."
In
all
the
softplays
we've
been
to
we've
never
had
an
issue
upon
explaining
our
situation.
I
explained
this
to
him
and
he
then
said
"it
doesn't
matter.
I
don't
make
the
rules,
I
just
enforce
them."
It
was
then
I
realised
I
was
talking
to
someone
completely
incapable
of
engaging
the
brain
and
using
a
bit
of
common
sense.
I
asked
if
he
thinks
it's
acceptable
to
discrimnate
against
kids
with
special
dietary
requirements
and
ask
them
to
eat
outside.
He
then
said
"yes"
stating
my
sons
allergy
friendly
cookie
may
cause
an
allergic
reaction
to
other
kids
in
the
softplay.
I
then
pointed
out
the
fact
that
we
were
surrounded
by
pizza
and
dairy
ice
cream
sold
by
the
premises
which
causes
anaphylaxis
in
my
kids
so
I
asked
why
his
duty
of
care
doesn't
extend
to
my
kids.
I'd
like
to
note
that
I
have
no
issue
with
other
kids
eating
dairy,
I
was
simply
pointing
out
the
absolute
nonsense
this
fella
was
talking.
He
then
(for
some
unknown
reason)
went
on
to
tell
me
that
he's
caught
parents
drinking
vodka
in
there.
I
asked
why
he
was
comparing
my
child
eating
an
allergy
friendly
cookie
to
parents
drinking
vodka
in
a
softplay.
When
he
couldn't
answer
I
just
asked
to
speak
to
the
manager
to
which
he
smugly
replied
"Why
lad!?
You'll
just
get
told
the
same."
When
he
wouldn't
get
the
manager
my
partner
went
to
to
request
him
herself.
Whilst
waiting,
the
softplay
doorman
began
to
eyeball
us
with
his
best
attempt
to
intimidate.
When
the
manager
came
out
I
politely
asked
whether
what
I
was
being
told
was
correct
but
before
he
could
respond
over
came
the
softplay
doorman
and
spoke
over
the
manager
repeating
that
my
kids
need
to
eat
outside.
I
remained
calm
and
advised
him
that
I
was
speaking
to
the
manager,
not
him
and
would
appreciate
it
if
he
didn't
interrupt.
At
this
point
he
began
to
get
irate
and
said
"Listen,
I'll
ring
the
police
and
social
services
will
come
in
and
take
those
kids
off
you!"
My
partner
and
I
have
never
been
so
disgusted
in
all
our
lives.
Even
the
young
manager
looked
to
cringe
when
he
said
it.
At
this
point
I
asked
for
the
manager
to
remove
the
softplay
doorman
from
the
situation
so
we
could
discuss
the
situation
like
adults.
The
manager
then
asked
the
doorman
to
leave
us
be
and
the
doorman
said
"No".
The
manager
looked
intimidated
by
his
own
member
of
staff
who
continued
to
stand
over
his
shoulder
with
another
pathetic
attempt
to
look
intimidating.
The
manager
told
me
it
wasn't
him
who
makes
the
rules
and
apologised.
He
then
went
into
the
back
to
provide
an
email
address
for
us
to
complain
to.
Whilst
he
was
in
the
back,
the
softplay
doorman
began
to
embarrass
himself
further
asking
me
where
I'm
from
saying
"Not
a
scouser
you
are
ya
lad!?"
When
I
asked
what
relevance
that
question
has
to
do
with
anything
he
then
said
"watch
what
happens
when
you
get
outside."
when
I
laughed
he
proceeded
to
offer
me
a
"straightener"
outside
as
the
other
parents
commented
in
disgust
stating
how
much
of
a
joke
he
is.
He
deffo
shadowboxes
(SIA
badged
up)
in
his
mirror
before
coming
to
work.
