Heswall Dales was such an unexpected pleasure to discover - I've lived on the Wirral all my life, and hadn't ever been here. Hut there's so much more to see than I'd expected! It's got a lot of biodiversity, wooded parts, heather, a stream, dips, hills, and excellent views of Moel Famau, a lot of the rest of the Clwydian Range, and a good part of the north Wales coast! There's so much crammed in here than you'd think for the amount of space that it takes up - definitely the kind of area I'd have loved rambling around as a kid, feeling like it was even bigger again! Some of the paths mightn't be suitable for those who aren't fully sure of their footing, but there are lots to choose from. There was barely a single piece of litter, which is always great! And I've every confidence that on a sunny day there will be tons of excellent photo opportunities!

With wide open spaces and stunning views The dales are an excellent place to visit although some footpaths are challenging with one locally known as heart attack hill you will not be disappointed. The wildlife is beautiful with Lizards, moths, butterflies and moths hiding amongst the Heather and ferns, there is evidence of badgers and i have seen fox there.

Loved this place growing up. Love it now 20 years later. Quiet. Long walks. Nature galore. Sandstone. Ferns. Gorse. Woods. Views.

Beautiful place but full of stuck up Heswallite snobs in Hunter wellies with handbag dogs that constantly bark at any other dog. Owners then scream everytime a real dog looks in their direction.

A beautiful area where I recently walked. It includes several walking trails, which are of varying length and difficulty. Great for families or hikers!

Fantastic place for a walk with the dog. It's so big I've gotten lost a few times when I've gone off the beaten track, but that's probably just me! 😁

😐 I have passed this woodland many times and wondered whether it was worth a visit. Today I thought I would. There isn't any parking specifically for the wood, so I parked at the entrance to the public footpath that leads to Arrowe Brook Road. After crossing the road I entered the wood and immediately...

👍👍 Great little nature trail perfect for younger kids who don't like walking too far. There's a lot of bumps and uneven ground so wouldn't say it suitable for prams. Links up with Heswall Dales if you want to go further but a nice 15-20 mins in nature is sometimes all you can fit in! Great views over t...
