It was a fun place to go and defo worth the money. You don't get bored there's loads to do. The only downside is public transport. You get dropped of in the middle of nowhere not even at a bustop, you then have to walk across a huge field then over a motorway bridge. Coming back I didn't know we're I should stand for the bus as there was no bus stop, lucky enougth he stopped. There is no pavement aswell. If your travelling with young kids on public transport it's worth knowing that because of that I would only ever go back in a car.

Easy to find off the M56 Jcn 10. Free large car park. We went on a Tue and thankful we didnt pay full entry fee. A good job it wasnt raining as nearly all are outdoor activities. Overall we enjoyed it but with more staff it would have been better. Take some pound coins for the go carts as staff dont have any change. We didn't see and shows or pig racing while there. Kids were waiting ages for a slide on the bouncy castle with one closed. We waited 20 mins for entry to play crazy golf but didnt get in as the kids got fed up waiting. Only one member of staff had a smile on their face. Such a shame, with better customer care and some upgrades it could be great. Oh and the gift shop could do with more stock. Would we return? No, problerly not. But a possitive was the car parking and family fun in the large maze.

Went on a Saturday, and it was practically dead. And, immediately on entry and across the day, realised it looks nothing like their website. The site is dominated by three large barns that have been converted into experiences - but with no staff to operate them, they look abandoned. Outside of Halloween, it's fair to say they're pointless. Half of the attractions weren't working, or weren't open, for most of the time we were there - probably because a huge shortage of staff, of whom I only saw a few towards the end of the day. I found one child playing with the motor for one of the bouncy castles. Good job I stopped them. There was an events list across the day but despite looking, we didn't see any actually running. The food was atrocious. I threw a box of uncooked frozen chips and the sorriest 'burger' I have ever seen straight in the bin. Honestly the worst food I have *ever* seen at a venue. I had a misconception that, for a farm, there would be animals to look at. There weren't - it's an arable farm, but I don't hold that against them as that was my mistake. Just to note, if you're going looking for animals, it's not that kind of farm. So, for the stuff that does work, and had staff to run it, it's effectively £11 a head for a public playground. The lack of staff makes some of the place feel outright dangerous, and I won't be going back.

Great for the younger ones, upto about 8 yrs. Most things are free once you enter. Quads are £2 for about 3 minutes, mini diggers are £1. Everything else is free. We enjoyed the tractor trailor ride, zip lines and jumping pillows. Was very quiet for a Saturday. No idea why. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great place to take the kids, alot of fun things to do to pass a few hours on, especially on a sunny day. Couldn't fault it, great idea who ever came up with the design. Could only have a slight dig about the place and that was the toilets what could of done with abit more maintenance as they didn't seem to be cleaned for a while throughout the day.

Tractor ride, was fab, haunted house, drop slide, zip lines, jump pillow etc etc.... it was quiet when we visited boys got on everything straight away. Bought a picnic, got yummy ice creams. Will defo visit again.

Great day out with lots to do, on the car journey home the kids were asking when they can come back which we'll be sure to do! Some areas do feel a bit run down but the kids didn't notice or care about that, and adds to the authenticity of the 'farm'.

I normally rave about Applejacks, I call it my favourite place in England and we go every year. There's usually loads of things for both kids and adults to do. This year it sadly just didn't live up to my previous experience of it. The whole place felt really worn like it could do with some maintenance. It was severely understaffed so they didn't run a couple of activities and closed the ice cream shop. Like with everything else the price has gone up, but unfortunately the quality hasn't. All in all it is a really good day out and maybe if I hadn't seen it before when it was much better, I wouldn't think it was lacking anything.

Please avoid! The concept for this space has potential, but the execution is seriously poor especially for the price you pay to enter. We paid around £60 for on the day tickets for a group of 5. Food cost around £25 for 2 chips, 2 hot dogs, 3 drinks and a very sad looking sausage sandwich. To put it into perspective the sausage sandwich was 1 sausage cut into quarters on an unbuttered bread roll for £3.50. The hot dog was 1 sausage in a plain bun for £3.80… However the main problem is the actual play area. The majority of the attractions you would attend the site for were either not open or are very tired and in need of some attention. The drop slides is a drop SLIDE as only one was inflated and it also stopped working part way through the day. To add to it, the atmosphere in the play park is very odd, it almost seems as though it is unmanned and you are left to your own devices exploring an abandoned site. The staff that are present are only present in physical form, they do not interact with you or monitor attractions. Quite the opposite to what you expect as before you enter the site there is a large list of rules to abide by. Are these pre-written as the staff will not reiterate them or ensure they are being kept to? There is also essentially 0 health and safety at the park with both the fun house and haunted house completely unmanned, the bouncy castle area also unmanned with live wires on show, the jumping pillow also unmanned, the zip wires… also unmanned. To cut it short nearly every attraction is unmanned so it really is a free for all. The haunted house and fun house look as though they have been left from Halloween, alongside the slaughterhouse style attraction. They are empty and abandoned so you just walk around looking at horror themed scenery wondering whether there is supposed to be actors inside or if it’s purposefully been left empty and desolate. The archery and ball blasting activity was also underwhelming when it was actually open and there is again 0 health and safety as the area in which you are shooting or aiming in is completely open to the public and anyone could just walk past. You are basically paying to wander around an almost abandoned play area with outdated and poorly kept attractions. Or to play on play equipment you could get at a local park for free. When speaking to other individuals in the park they mirrored the above experience. It’s a shame really as the website and promotional videos show a completely different scene. The Ice Cream Farm in Cheshire is probably a better place to visit. Applejacks was very disappointing and underwhelming. I would ask for a refund but they make it clear when you are booking that it is non refundable. After my visit I can understand why they stress this so much when you are booking, as I can imagine the requests for refund would be significantly high.

Brilliant day out, after visiting many children's play places this place will now be one of our favourites plenty of activities for the children to play outdoors lovely staff. food drinks and Ice cream available (prices very reasonable). Also awesome entry price at £8 a person which is lovely to see for the people with larger families. We were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed our day Thankyou. Only downside atall was gift shop being abit empty but with present situation we understood :-)

After reading reviews mentioning issues regarding staff, I was hesitant to visit. However, I didn’t have any issues: didn’t see one member of staff on their phone, they were all very helpful & in my opinion were very intent on ensuring my children safety. I thought the food was ok & the entertainment was brilliant from the entertainment team who really ensured we had a brilliant day. Will definitely be returning!

We turned up early for fireworks (5.30pm) There was nothing open, we expected spooky world to be open – seemed ran down? We didn’t know where the fireworks and bonfire were to be held. So we guessed the field as people started walking over. The bonfire wasn’t lit on time, and fireworks were not on time (as they should be at 7.30). Saw a few families complaining about the timing and there being no wardens (in high vis’) about. When the fireworks did show were short and not timed.. left before everyone started to leave. For the owner: reviews belong anywhere people choose - apple jack's farm IS spooky world? This perhaps isn't the mentality to have looking at past reviews saying the place is ran down and over priced?

Great day out with kids. It was our first time, and must say it was fairly quiet, but that was not a problem. As usually I have a few points that matter to me. ☆Location: Very easy to find. Loads of parking space. ☆Venue: True that most attractions have seen better days, but still, it was clean and well kept, i.e., grass cut down, no mud or potholes. plenty to do up there. ☆Staff: Majority of them are young and most of them are nice. Some, I would say, to young. Some places were unattended by staff, which wasn't right but more in to that in a minute ☆Cost: Sadly, as seen few reviews regarding the cost of it, yes, sure, take your business elsewhere, hoping it will be cheaper. It is really frustrating that during the financial crisis we are in, the cost of living crisis, there are some people who complain about it. This companies trying to survive but adding charges to some things or hiring younger staff. It cost fortune to keep venues like this, so what people expect. Everything is getting more expensive, and it will continue as long as we allow the government to charge us more for electricity, gas, fuel, cuncil taxes, other taxes, clean air zones ect. Don't be surprised by increasing costs. Great place. ☆☆☆☆☆.

Good fun for the kids. A good selection of activities, over a relatively small area of land. We'd probably covered everything within a couple of hours, the tractor ride and go-karts were favourites. Easy to find off the M56, large car park, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere around the park. For 2 adults and 3 children admission cost in the region of £60, plus spent around £30-£40 in the park for extra attraction fees and food/drink. I can understand why some may be put off at the price vs what is on offer and the small scale. Ultimately, the kids had a great time, it was good to get fresh air as a family, have a change of scenery and have some fun.

We have just visited the farm, to say I’m disappointed is an understatement! We paid £38 to get in hardly anything is open or you have to pay to get on it, then at the end we were told you have to pay for the pumpkins, so what exactly have we paid £38 pounds for? The staff were rude at the reception I don’t appreciate how the girl spoke to my other half in front of my children and the manager wasn’t much use just telling us it has all the information online, we defiantly won’t be returning or recommending this place to anyone as we don’t want them to be the shocking prices we have just paid!

Great day out with plenty to do, good facilities and friendly staff. We stayed for the last 3 hours of the day and still didn’t manage to get to everything, so a return visit will be in order. It’s refreshing to find a place that doesn’t charge extra once inside for things like bouncy castles, the drop slide, cannon shooting, archery etc. We left my sons shoes in the inflatables tent and staff alerted us that they were at the front desk. Also, a particular thank you to the young lady in the soft ball shooting tent (Sat 26/6) who found my phone and quickly came looking for me to return it. This was a sunny day and I didn’t have a coat so my two small pockets were proving insufficient! Highly recommended 5*

Took grandson as a birthday present. Not very busy but better for that. Good attractions for a 4 year old. Dining area still decorated with Halloween bunting, thought there should have had time to spruce up. Gift shop consisted of footballs and rain ponchos. Good but ready for a makeover.

Visited in late August 2020. The good: Firstly to arrive and get chips is always something I like so it's nice to see that in covid times there is hot food. The attractions are basic but kids love them (zip wire and playgrounds especially). Great way to kill a few hours in the open air. The not so good: I would encourage you to put hand sanitizer at each attraction/ride. I did not see any cleaning happening either. The toilets were out of paper towels to dry my hands when I used them. It's frustrating to have to pay to use the go kart cars after paying admission. Especially when some.other rides are closed.

Limited access at present because of Covid , still £8 a ticket and 3 activities closed on the day .My time slot was 10 -12 so why only open at 10 to stand in a 10 min queue? Cafe hot water not operational until 1045? Get up earlier and switch the water on then! Staff are pleasant enough and trying their best . Not good value for money , place needs a lick of paint now. Walton Gardens for £3 all day parking is far better for children.

We came for the maize maze, the website did not make it obvious that this wasn't a feature for this year. Our children are at the older age range that Applejacks caters for so were bored before the time ran out. I understand that Covid has made things difficult but the website should make it clear that the maize maze isn't a feature this year, especially as tickets are still full price and people should be aware of what they are paying for.

Website is very misleading. Massive maize maze access restricted to a walk through = it's pretty much non existent Haunted house = closed The eliminator = closed Ball dropper = broken Mini golf = gone Pigs racing = not on, although it did say that on website Shows = it says could be cancelled, no way of knowing if they are on or not Member of staff touched my phone to scroll down to scan all the barcodes. No extra hand washing or sanitising stations. Didn't see a single member of staff clean any equipment in the 2.5 hours that we were there. Kids did have a nice day out, however £8 per person is alot for a glorified playground with all the main attractions missing.

Visited Spooky World last night with two teenagers. Staff are great, actors are spectacular and themed areas are brilliant! Should of maybe gone on tractor ride last! Brilliant Halloween location. Our 3rd year and it just gets better! I'd be happy to pay a nominal fee for entry without experiencing the areas, I'm just a chaperone, but as I'm paying full price for entry, I'm destroying my kids street cred for tagging along with them.

We have been to Apple Jacks a few times. The last time we came really opened my eyes to just how dangerous this place is! The zip wire is very long and high and has no staff monitoring it. When it gets to the end children can easily be thrown off. My partner went into the "fun house" and banged his head in the dark on a beam of wood. The rollerskates are broken and dont tie or clip properly around the ankles. The last time we came my son was on an inflatable slide, he came down as normal but his foot got caught in a rip in the material. It caused him to tumble down and he fractured his wrist. I sent my partner for a first aider and they didnt have any!!! No first aiders at all on site just teenagers left to deal with everything. They didnt fill in an accident report. We were in such a state we just went as we needed to get our sons arm looked at as he was in so much pain. Now i realise everything is so unsafe. Weve turned a blind eye to things in the past but until something does happen you always think it will be fine. Since then ive read alot of comments about the health and safety here and im suprised theyre still open!

Came with the children and we absolutely loved it! It's a really fun place and everyone of all ages are able to do something here. Love the swings all as a family able to join in and zip line! Skating was brill with kids. Hay bales are brill for young kids. All round fun place to take your family. Price is brilliant and easy to find on location.

This is a great day out for young ones aged between 6-12. There are lots of different activities for the kids to do. The ball shoot was a particular favourite for me, recreating the opening scenes of Saving Private Ryan. It's been relatively quiet everytime I've visited meaning little to no queues.

FAMILY OF 4 - 2 ADULTS AND 2 KIDS Abit of a mixed review I'm afraid. I genuinely think the ticket price is worth the money there's lots to do and kids between the ages stated, will not get bored. Zip lines, bouncy air pillows, drop slides, tractor rides and much more. However, the price of food and drink I'm afraid to say is just ridiculous, it cost me £10 for 4 x 500ml bottles, I couldn't believe the cashier when she said how much, I had to ask again. The ice cream was £2 a scoop but to be fair they do give a generous amount so fair play and the chocolate ice cream was one of the nicest I've tasted. But... because of the price of the drinks (and luckily we came with a picnic) I refused to even look at the price of the food. By the looks of other peoples meals, they looked incredibly basic and I was glad we didnt order anything, I feel this is a costly mistake by the farm. There was a fun house and a ghost house that was just painted corridors which was obviously themed for Halloween but was left open for the kids and it was just plain boring. I feel that for definite, the place need better maintenance and just a good lick of paint to liven it up. One of the zip wires wasnt working properly that probably just needed a good greasing and I also wasted another £6 on quad karts that didnt move. The lady in charge came along and just moved the kart and giggle awkwardly and didn't offer to offer me my money back or just get another quad kart moving for free. The quad karts literally last one and a half laps which again is a lite abysmal. I really wanted to leave a 5* review based on previous reviews I've read but I'm sorry I just cant. I feel that the farm is only going to last most customers, one visit and never go back again. Ease invest in some man/women hours and spend a week or two sprucing the place up and lower the food prices and I'd be glad to come back again and again. I think the price of an adult ticket should be a little less as to be fair, all parents were doing was watching their kids 🤷‍♂️

We had an amazing day, kids loved it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Loads to do, it’s about what you make of it. Only gave 4 starts because of the food order a burger meal which was very lost in the bun…

Be warned before you book with this company they do not refund if you get covid and they are not bothered if you to attend. Their profits come before public health no wonder rates are rising when companies show no regard. I have never experienced customer service like this the staff are no rude Please note company saying its for a different company is total rubbish they are owed by the same people ! I did leave reviews on all sites as customers deserve to know how you treat customers they can then make their own informed decision.

I think this is a fun day out for kids, plenty of varied things to do. Anything motorized will cost £1 per go. Take your own food, the stuff they sell is truly the worse I've ever encountered and that was after queuing for ,25 mins. Take a look at the pic of my £4 burger... Is really is a sight to behold... Burnt to a crisp and 1/3 the size of the barm.

Visited Applejacks today for the first time. There is certainly plenty to do for children. Also lots of picnic areas. Bouncy castles, zip wires, bouncy pillows, roller skating etc etc. The haunted house was shut as was the shooting balls. The Go Karts cost £2.00 for two small laps. Very expensive for what they are. Apparently they have doubled in price since last year. The fencing area around the Karts was broken in one place (right next to the queuing area) and the sharp wood sticking out - a major hazard. I was disappointed to see dogs are allowed. My granddaughter is on the autism spectrum and absolutely terrified of dogs. Two owners entered the bouncy castle tent with their dog and she absolutely freaked out with terror. Applejacks is supposed to be a kids facility why can't it be dog free?

Come here every year and have done since my son was small. Now having a young daughter I do the same with her. Both have enjoyed every year however this year was not great. Very empty and the cost has gone up alot. Paid 27 pound for two of us,hardly any staff, foods always been bad and over priced. Only 3 actors on the tractor ride. Its missing something from previous years. My daughter got bored after a few hours. Last year thr pumpkins was free to be told we would have pay £5 for a large one this year. Needles to say I left paying for that and got her one on the way home from morrisons for a pound. I doubt we will return next year. We will find another fun farm n travel out of town. Its a ashame use to be such a good day out for little ones.

Visited for Halloween. Plenty to do for the kids. Food court was busy, with limited seating. Due to the amount of rubbish, left overs ect all over the tables. Went on the halloween tractor ride which to my delight got soaked with water (not) I was dripping wet all day. The place is very open ground, and it was freezing coupled with being wet, didn't make for a comfortable day. Kids enjoyed it.

Had a great day here, lots to do and we had lots of fun. We would go back but it really needs more staff and the ones who are there need more training. Some activities were completely unsupervised (quite worryingly) and some staff were rude. But we still had a good day in spite of this and would return. We read similar reviews before our visit so hopefully at some point the owners will take note.

Great fun for a family day out at any time of year, but particularly for Halloween or in summer when the Amazing Maize Maze is grown. Relatively affordable tickets and catering. Lots of adventure play rides, for adults as well as children. Tractor trailer rides available and included in the ticket price.

We had a fantastic day here today. We were 4 adults and 2 children (4,3). There is so much for the kiddies to do and my girls absolutely loved it. My youngest loved the mini disco once she warmed up to the room and didn't stop dancing. The girls running the show and all the mascots were so lovely, my daughter was rather taken to Apple Jack and didn't leave him alone (sorry about that). We are from South Wales and visit the grandparents up this way as regularly as we can and it is our first time to Apple Jacks Adventure Farm and it certainly won't be our last. We honestly couldn't find fault in our day. Don't hesitate, you'll have a fab day.

Really great place to take the kids. Weather was on our side so really enjoyed it and plenty to do for the younger kids. The zip line was fun and the archery. Only sad thing was there was no animals it could do with a small petting zoo maybe. Will be back for sure

£40 for 2 adults and a 2.5yr old to spend time in a field akin to Phoenix Nights Car Park fair. Daughter chargeable as over 90cm tall, yet everything is age related. Guidance says suitable for 4-12yr ages, so why isnt the pricing age related vs height? And why is it so expensive for accompanying adults. We went with family who had 5yr old, but even they found some 'attractions' were 7yrs+. Not to mention the £1 coins you need, and the 30min queue for an ice cream. Don't expect to see any animals except for 6 pigs hiding for cover from the sun in a 2mx1.5m shelter. Requested refund, but manager (George) unable to give a refund. Told us to email ticket office, yet no email address on the website. If anyone reading this fancies a better value alternative, I'll nip down to argos, shove a slide in my front garden (30 quid for family of 3 - summer offer).
