If you need to book specific time, better book more than month ago. The staff are friendly and the class is enjoyable. However, it’s tough, you will realise that when you back home

Great place to learn to ski for adults and kids with all equipment provided. I watch from the warmth of the cafe while my daughter does her skiing lessons. Cappuccino is good and the little pots of chips are nice ! There is also a balcony over the snow, but dress warm for the balcony.

Amazing facility in a realty accessible location. My partner showed me round and is going to book ski lessons. We had food overlooking the ski slope and then went on to the viewing platform to see what was going on. Everything was clean and appeared well managed. They had a range of shops on the ground floor which were really good for outdoor and gym gear. There’s a ‘Spoons there too but we didn’t go in.

I love this place! It’s truly a place for all ages! Should you wanna snowboard? Ski? Or sledge this is the place. The staff are so welcoming and the safety of all visitors at are their main priority strongly followed by them interacting with everyone to make sure they won’t forget their visit. You had me after my first visit and now you have got the next generation - my son 12 years old. He said “it’s wet - bloody freezing - I can’t feel my fingers - I JUST LOVE IT DAD” 😂😂

Fantastic facility. Easy to book, easy to check in and all very organised. Helpful staff. Everything you could possibly need including clothing if you don't have your own. Spacious lockers, plenty of choice for food and drink etc. We went at 6pm on a Saturday and found the slope to be fairly quiet. Really great experience and would highly recommend

I always have a great time at the chill factor. The staff are just amazing. I ski quiet well but sometime when I want to learn a new skill and cannot seem to grasp it, a staff member or a random person is always there to offer advise. The shops and restaurants are great after a morning on the slopes. Wish the staff at the castle in the air where more on the ball. But overall it's, like a little holiday when I'm at the chill factor ⛷️🏂🏔️🌲❄️

This is a great place to ski and snowboard. The snow is good, almost like real. The equipment available is good. The changing/prep areas are modern and clean. The other businesses on site are handy too, food and drink are good and well priced, there's ski shops etc too.

We recently hosted our sons 6th birthday here. What a fantastic time. All the kids loved it, sledging, tubing and tobbagan run were all amazing. We finished up with a big snowball fight at the end of the session. Tom the snow Park manager was particularly helpful, really made the day. Especially when some of the kids were a bit nervous he knew just how to build their confidence. We'll definitely be going back - highly recommend.

Went to the chill factor for my partner’s birthday. We was taught how to snowboard by Jono. He was fantastic, made the experience memorable. Was a great teacher. Had a lot of patience with me and my partner. Would definitely recommend him! He did such a good job we will be coming back for another lesson with him very soon! Awesome guy.

Been to many indoor slopes around the UK and this is the best. Just the look of the place when pulling up got me excited. It's brilliant the button lift is much better than the rope lift at other places, few icy patches as expected but overall a good experience. Not too many people booked onto the slopes either which was really good.

The place and staff, once there were worthy of maybe 4 stars. The Web site needs to make it more clear about not providing hire clothing. This was mentioned to us via the confirmation email we received 30 mind before arrival. A mad dash to buy clothing ensued. Make it more clear earlier.

Despite covid restrictions it's well organised and still Great fun. Unfortunately for some they're not able to hire ski clothing because of restrictions and you can't use any of the lockers so it's necessary to go already dressed. Shops are all open though

It was a great fun for the family, the kids had fun as well as us adults. The cost could be expensive for large families though but this is something you do not do regularly so worth trying at least once. 😊

Closest thing to skiing in the UK but the snow is nothing like the real thing. Staff were great but the required add-ons are overpriced and God awful quality. Can't wait to shred alpine slopes again.

Just entering the premises makes you feel like you're in the Rockies or Alps. the adult hourly rate of 28 GBP which includes full ski gear. The temperature is set to -4C, 24F, so bring your jacket. I love the huge windows where as a spectator you get a full view of the slope. The place has a number of restaurants, snack places in alpine setting. Enjoy!

Very expensive compared to other soft play centres but much bigger. They also have Laser quest and trampoline games which project yourself on a screen in front of you so you're in the game included in the price. The kids enjoyed it, and it wasn't busy at all during the Easter holidays

Fantastic venue to learn to Ski ⛷ or Board 🏂. Went yesterday with my lad and the whole place was fully booked. Despite that “Ruth” on the check-in desk deserves a special mention as she managed to find a slot for my lad so that our 3h round trip wasn’t wasted. Thanks Ruth, you are a star 🤩

This was the first time I skied at Chill Factore. My first impression was good as the lady at the reception was friendly and helpful who told me everything about what I needed to know. The rental area was under renovation so was a bit noisy. The skiing area was properly managed. The reasons I gave it a 4–star were, firstly, the gears were worn so as the lockers: Not until I inserted a coin in it I found the key was gone. I gotta asked the staff at rental for help and he found someone to fix it quickly. Secondly because the poor design of the car park and the ruthless of the back office. When I left and found my car was stuck at the car park, I went to the reception for help. A staff named Cath called the back office but I was told they could do nothing for it. Fortunately, Cath instructed me getting out the parking lot, though still not successful. Finally I could escape from it as the car behind me moved out. My thanks to all the staff, in particular Cath, who made me an enjoyable skiing morning. Even though some flaws, I still recommend it especially the beginner. It’s a good place to learn skiing before you go to a ski trip.

Lots of fun to be had for all ages and abilities. The ski instructors are very knowledgeable and have plenty of patience. Our only complaint is the time that it takes to book in and collect skis and boots. Because it took so long we were late for the start of our lesson so did not get the full time on the snow.

  • 5/5 Louise M. 2 years ago on Google
We went to chill factor today and had a fantastic time. Ryan B who sorted out our clothing was amazing and was so helpful, especially with us having two excited young children with us. He helped to calm by eldest down who just wanted to get out onto the snow and he was so very polite and patient with trying to work out our sizes for myself, husband and two boys. What a great team member Chill factor has in Ryan. Thank you for making this part of the trip not stressful at all. Louise x

Had a level 1 snowboarding session. It was myself and my wife, we were grouped with a few others who were all really friendly. The experience was great and our instructor Jim W was awesome! Really made us feel at ease and didnt laugh too much at me falling over. Absolutely fantastic experience and education. Will be back!

Reasonable price (£55 for 2 adults, 2 children) for 1 hour in snow Park. Only 3 things to go on; sledges, donuts and toboggan but 1 hour I'd say is enough. Something different and fun to do. Recommend waterproofs if they like playing in the snow ❄️

  • 3/5 Tony H. 5 months ago on Google
Came last week on the snow Park cost £55 for family of 4. Thought it was OK park had nothing interesting for adults but we had to pay as our children wasn't old enough to do by themselves. They enjoyed but thought it was over priced its more expensive in school holidays and weekend definitely wouldn't rush back to do again. Free parking outside but had to drive round to find a space. Weatherspoons next door.

Great experience for adults and children. Everything can be hired on-site at reasonable prices. It is also very convenient if we have our own gear and warm ski clothes. Helmets (which are mandatory) and poles are available at various sizes and free of charge. Booking in advance is strongly recommended. Great opportunities to get back the basics and muscles memory before planning for winter holidays abroad. Vast selection of indoor activities for everyone beside skiing: rock climbing, lounge restaurants, shopping, children snow-fun activities.

Staff here are fantastic! Ruth on front desk helped us so much as my cousin from Stoke was very stressed as we didn’t realise we were half way through a session for our kiddies and booking is preferably online - but Ruth was so kind and calm and patient, a true star! Yas inside also helped our kiddies, and Robyn serving our drinks was awesome! Our kiddies loved their time on the slides and are desperate to go back!

It was so good, I 100% recommend! You learn so much just in one session and you are well looked after. It’s super fun to learn and practice. The coaches and staff are amazing and super kind. My coach was Fiac who was honestly amazing!!

Great place to learn how to ski. I booked the 5 hour beginners course (lvl 1-3). I had Tom as an instructor and he was good, very patient and clear. There were 9 in the group altogether and he naturally spent more time with those who struggled to get the hang of things but I found that I had enough direct tuition and tips for the price. I was then able to practice based on what I'd been told. I came solo, as a complete beginner, and I was a tiny bit intimidated when I arrived but it was all fine once the lesson started. The group was really friendly and we all had a good time. A decent lunch was included in the price too. The slopes did get a little busy, so I can't imagine what they'd be like at peak times in peak season. I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would and I've booked an intermediate lesson

  • 5/5 Finn W. 8 months ago on Google
This place is awesome - i had my first skiing lessons here over the last few weeks, George P - the instructor for the Level 1 course was incredibly patient and actively worked with everyone in the group to enable them to get the most and get a real feel for the sport leading me to falling in love with snowsports. Anyone who is even remotely interested in giving skiing or snowboarding a go just get booked in and see for yourself, The quality of instruction is immense and by having differenet instructors on every tier it will allow you to find tricks and techniques that work for you.

  • 4/5 Pete 9 months ago on Google
Good facility - the bloke at the ski hire station this afternoon literally couldn’t have been more helpful and patient with my son who had his first skiing lesson and wasn’t sure on boot size or setting up the skis. The pace of the lessons was pretty slow and very basic (on the tiny slope next to the kids sledging area) but it was fun to watch the experienced skiers whizzing down the main slope.

I booked a 5-hour snowboarding lesson. On arrival I was welcomed by a team member who told me the whole booking in process. Picking up the equipment, the clothing and boots was all very seamless. The lesson was great fun and very intensive. We then took a break for food, which was very good. Charlie our instructor, made very pleasant conversation and was interested in knowing what each of his fellow "students of the board" did in life. We then resumed the lesson for a further 2 hours. Charlie made the lesson fun and engaging with all the students being involved. We progressed from nothing to carving our way down the slope. Thank you Charlie P, you made my day.

Had a great time, one of the members of staff was especially accommodating and nice. Don’t remember his name but looked exactly like Jack Harlow, one of the kindest souls I’ve met. Absolute legend.

My friend and I have had 2 lessons at Chill Factore so far and we've loved every minute of it! Our first session with Lenny was great fun and we loved it being a group session so you were all supporting each other. The instructors are really supportive and will always try to push you to the next step which will make it easier on your next lesson. Our second lesson with Nick was fantastic as we got super lucky and it was only the two of us in the lesson (perks of booking a class in July!!) He gave us lots of feedback and advice which was tailored and we definitely improved a lot. Can't wait for our next lessons!

Wow what a FABULOUS way to celebrate my son Harrys 40th and grandson Toms 12th birthdays. We were a family party of 16 of us from 7 to 70 in age. Thanks to Lily,Rachel,Charlotte,Kim,Izzy and Josh both myself at 70 with mobility problems plus my grandaughter Poppy 10 with epilepsy and cerebral palsy were both able to complete 3 runs each in a doughnut too! all the staff so accomodating including pulling me insitu in the doughnut up the moving slope too.Poppy was thrilled to achieve her rides too and her cousins were up and down the slopes in record time.I was extremely nervous but thanks to the wonderful staff managed to complete 3 runs a miracle given my age and limited movement too.Highly recommend ! An activity well suited for all ages .After we had lunch too lovely food a really memorable day thankyou all SO much !Wendy Hasnip and family

Went on the snow park with the kids, good fun for an hour but a bit lacking on activities but absolutely fine for two young lads. Sledging, luge and donut rings plenty of fun in a safe environment and snow in the middle of summer who can argue with that 👍

Great place to ski and board on real snow with a long enough slopes to keep it real and interesting. So much better than artificial mat slopes. Really well organised equipment hire area with weighing scales to setup bindings and friendly knowledgeable staff. The higher skis we had ran and carved really well. Very good value for money amenity.

Our 6 year old started learning to ski in May and as progressed very well, she is now skiing from the top of the main slope and developing her skills. She loves it. Most of the instructors are very good and get on the childs level. The facilities are great, staff are friendly and welcoming. I'd definitely recommend this activity to anyone.

Always loved the place pre-covid. For those with young children, the lessons were excellent for my grandson. If you are planning on a post covid ski trip, get them in for starter lessons before you go. Only four stars instead of five because I've never been able to work their web page.

Awesome play centre, we were supposed to go elsewhere that day but we're late so went here and wow will we be going again! There's lots to do, go carts which the children went on many times, Lazer quest room with amazing star wars figures painted in UV paints, they look awesome on photos, A massive ball pool and play center with a super long slide. My little girl hurt her back on this and the staff were helpful and showed concern. The center is very clean considering the amount of families there. There is a party area which was Christmas themed when we went. There's a large toddler area and a web tunnel which the children can climb, wiggle through which looked good fun. There's a football area within the ball pool area. There's a zip wire area that you have to pay extra for but it's only about £4-£5. There's a virtual reality area which you pay extra for. There's a good cafe that provides a good range of foods and can cater for free from customers, of which I'm one. This is great as I often take my own free from foods as it's hard to find places that cater. It's a great places for parents to join in with their children as many Dad's did on the big slide! There's an app that lets you know of offers and events that's great for all the info too. I would definitely recommend this and am going back there with my family next weekend.

I think it is a good place to keep your hand in between ski trips. I went last week for a 2hr session, the top right side of the slope had moguls which I'm not too good at but enjoyed giving them a go. There are no changing facilities at the moment but I just put my ski boots on sitting on the back of my car. I have always being surprised that the turnstiles are not auto sensing by now, it is always a FAFF getting the ticket out for the bar code scanner. I had a coffee and cake in the cafe upstairs which was very pleasant overlooking the slope.

Hour is more than enough. Only went as there was an offer on boxing day for an hour lift pass for £10 otherwise I can't justify the £35 for one hour lift pass... you spend more time on the button lift than doing runs. For a beginner skiver great go have your lessons there for sure for already skiing skiers go there for the small dose of skiing but definitely try other outdoor places such as rossendale or stoke

Loved it. Played on the slopes woth our 4year old daughter who loved it. She loved the slides and sledges. We did get it on a deal so paid £30 for 45mins which was well worth it, but paying full price would have been £60 so quite expensive.

Good points great place for kids adults lots of fun disabled friendly had lift shops/restaurants within the unit....bad points this course is usually 1 hour for some reason it's been cut down to 45mins and still same price...only 1 person at the reception so their was a queue...the lady who was doing the safety brief and giving helmets wasn't informing customers what she was doing when she would dissapear after giving few helmets out which meant people helped themselves as everyone thought she wasn't coming back nor did she check to see if adults and small kids had their helmets on right...once in the ski ground staff could improve their introduction and explain how to go round the 3 activity set up

Had a 1 on 1 snowboarding lesson with Callum what a great guy and great instructor I would highly recommend coming to the chill factor Manchester just based on my experience with the instructor. What a great ambasaodor for his company. The establishment is well set out even with all the crazy covid rules but they are staying om top of it. I would recommend checking the website before you go as there is no where to put your shoes and spare cloths with the lockers being out of order. Thanks for a great time and see you again!
