We
chose
a
different
location
for
our
second
Premier
Inn
stay
in
Liverpool,
as
we
originally
planned
on
taking
the
metro
to
Chester
so
it
was
handy
for
the
station.
But
the
rail
strike
made
it
difficult
to
plan
for.
Our
room
(232)
was
on
the
second
floor
at
the
coldest
time
during
this
recent
bad
weather.
The
28
degrees
heat
setting
just
couldn't
be
attained
although
our
friends
just
2
doors
away
said
their
room
(202)
was
very
warm.
On
our
last
evening
as
we
arrived
back
in
the
late
afternoon
there
were
many
guests
checking
in
and
several
were
allocated
in
the
rooms
just
around
the
corner
from
ours.
That
evening
was
the
only
time
the
thermostat
worked
properly
and
our
room
was
warm
when
we
went
to
bed
and
when
we
awoke
this
morning.
So,
I
must
assume
the
rooms
which
ran
behind
ours
on
the
same
corridor
had
been
empty
before
and
no
heat
was
passing
through
them.
It
made
the
stay
a
little
uncomfortable,
to
say
the
least.
We
had
to
keep
the
curtains
closed
all
the
time
to
keep
the
cold
from
the
window
bouncing
right
back
at
us
in
the
room.
Everything
else
was
as
we
were
expecting.
The
bathroom
and
shower
was
good,
extra
towels
and
tea
making
stuff
supplied
by
the
reception
staff
when
requested.
A
good
choice
for
breakfast
and
food
served
on
the
buffet
was
hot.
A
break
for
3
nights
midweek
for
2
people
at
under
£200
with
breakfast
in
the
lead
up
to
Christmas
wasn't
to
be
sniffed
at.
We
made
our
reservation
towards
the
end
of
August.
EDIT
to
add:
I
was
contacted
by
Premier
Inn
for
more
information
to
investigate
the
room
temperature
issue.
I
was
advised
later
that
under
their
sleep
guarantee
rule,
they
are
refunding
2
nights
of
our
room
rate.
I
wasn't
aware
of
the
guarantee
so
this
came
as
a
surprise.
Thank
you!
