Rather disappointing. We’ve stayed at many a Premier Inn because of the consistency in quality; you know to expect a comfortable room and bed. This hotel was not only comparatively expensive at £130 a night but the immediate impression was that it was rather down at heel, causing us to realise we had make a mistake in booking here. The scruffy reception area leaves a lot to be desired and the staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than serving guests. The level of service was noticeably lacking in comparison to other Premier Inns. On the other hand, the room was acceptable and its conversion from the former warehouse was interesting with bare brick walls and curved ceiling. There was also a good view of the Albert Dock. There’s no hotel parking but rather than the recommended parking at Liverpool One, we found a space in one of the small car parks on the access road opposite the hotel, though it was expensive. The hotel was also a good place from which to explore the Albert Dock and the Pier Head. Rather than breakfast in the hotel, we went out intending to eat dockside at one of the nearby cafes doing breakfast but found a wonderful bakery doing hot chocolate and huge patisseries, which we took to a bench overlooking the Mersey, enjoying the view and the sunshine before returning to the hotel to check out.

Amazing location for the hotel, within the historic tobacco warehouse. We got a feel for the size of the place with the long, long trek to our room through the historic corridors. Comfy functional, quiet room. Good space for breakfast, particularly if sat near the windows with views over the dock. Extra points for a surprise early check-in - a rarity for a Premier Inn, but really appreciated.

Super pricey for what is given. There were no charging ports near the bed. Internet is absolutely trash, a strategy scheme to make us buy the premium which is 5 pounds for 24 hours!! Crazy. No Paper or pen at the hotel. Place was decent. Staff are absolutely amazing. All of them. Staff is what makes this place so nice otherwise super overpriced for no reason.

Great location. On the docks and a 10/15 minute walk from the centre. The visit was good, shame that none of the windows open (makes you feel slightly claustrophobic) and the lifts were not working/temperamental while we stayed so lots of stairs to the top. Otherwise a good visit.

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. They compare countless booking web sites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the best in this area. I have been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you for sure won't regret it. People have given the hotel poor ratings and we just say they are being picky, room was clean, one area of slight mould in bathroom but I have seen much worse in more expensive hotels. Perfectly clean, all staff very friendly. We would stay again as the location is great for access to everything!

Ideal hotel for visiting Liverpool, central for the tourist aspects. Lovely setting and great service from all the staff, rooms were quiet and clean and tidy. You can park your luggage if your arrive early and then go and explore, likewise you can leave your luggage after checking out and before your journey home, this was invaluable for us.Will hopefully be back at some point.

I would of given the hotel 5 stars, but there were a few things I noticed that dropped the review to 4. Our room could certainly do with a TV upgrade. Hotel seems short staffed in bar/restaurant area and the bars in the roof of our room, see photo, could certainly do with being dusted. Overall a very good hotel and Premier Inn have done a great job of looking after a Listed Building.

Liked: - Location, right on Albert Dock - Views from room; - Characterful room and public areas with vaulted brick ceilings, naked brick walls and cast iron columns. - Price; Disliked: - 10 min queue at check-in; - Bathroom looking tired, messy silicon fillets, gaps around bath panel, etc; - My biggest gripe - a LOT of noise transmitted from neighbouring rooms. It’s probably a bit late for the hotel to completely rectify this now as the building was erected hundreds of years ago. If you are a guest at this hotel, PLEASE show some consideration for your fellow guests. Keep your voices down after 10 and tread gently. Every footfall from the idiots above sounded like not-too-distant canonfire in our room. No exaggeration, fittings in our room were shaking and rattling. All that said, it was good for the price and I would return. Just take earplugs and you should be fine.

The location of this hotel is absolutely fabulous. It's a very quirky building which was a pleasant suprise. Breakfast was good. I'd definitely return here and recommend it to anyone wanting to stay on the docks.

Excellent location, right on the Mersey and the famous Albert dock. Excellent room. Beautiful building. Lovely view from the restaurant. My favourite Premier Inn so far. Lenny Henry would be proud.

You couldn’t ask for a better hotel. The room was immaculate, the ferris wheel outside our room which my little boy loved! Excellent location and a beautiful location at Albert dock. Staff were very lovely, we didn’t have breakfast due to meeting friends out for breakfast, but we will be definitely staying again and we Definitely recommend!

For the price it was ok. Breakfast was great. Some issues in the room, extractor didn't work, shower head was powerful and had leaks so sprayed everywhere, heating was not the best and it was a little cold(they had a stand alone oil heater to help) only 1 bath towel and no spare pillows. I know it doesn't sound great but for the price the room was clean and the view was great, it was also very well placed for shopping and the m & s arean.

Desperately saggy and well-used mattress could have been years old. Sank in the middle so couldn’t sit or sleep well on it . Curtains were stained with big ink and god knows what else marks, and had little rips all throughout the fabric, which let in light. Looked like a wild animal had been using them. Floors didn’t feel clean and were chipped (bathroom) and stained (carpet). En-suite sink toilet and bath/shower were all rusting or damaged. Windows didn’t open, weren’t clean, and the ventilation system they had installed to compensate this was filthy, and blew lukewarm air at all times/not powerful enough to compensate for the complete lack of air so overall was very hot, smelly, and stale. Very sub-quality for a Premier Inn, I was completely shocked by it as had really been looking forward to my stay. The room reminded me of outdated European hotels. Won’t be staying here again- any other nearby hotel would have done better.

Amazing hotel, perfect location, the best view we've had from a Premier Inn. The original features of this building really make it special, with metal beams and exposed stone walls it feels more authentic than your usual city centre Premier Inn with white walls and typical furnishings. The staff were great and really welcoming. Great breakfast as always. Short 2 min walk to Albert Docks, all the museums and local shops.

When I went to check in, the reception staff were fine and the atmosphere looked alright but when I couldn’t find my way to my room which I was looking for, some woman staff came over to me in the snotty way and said “excuse me sorry!! You know when you come in!! Go that way and saves you going around!!” And she didn’t even come over and apologise and I am not happy about what happened with my stay and I did enjoy chilling there but pity it’s cold tho and I think it actually needs an update and refurbishment and anyway I don’t think I will come back here again after what happened with some snotty woman and the 1st I stayed here at the docks was fine but this is the 2nd time and which wasn’t great and I think the Lime Street Premier Inn is better than this 1 and I never had problems at Lime Street

Great location but hotel needs a facelift, especially given we paid around £165 for the night (but it was Pride weekend and a Saturday night so was expected). Looked tired and a bit worn down but overall clean. Bed was extremely comfy, quiet AC was great but the bathroom felt old. The breakfast was unfortunately below average with a few options unavailable and the meat alternatives were poor.

Service was pleasant but slow. Room was ok, it was clean but only two free electric sockets & none by the bed for charging phone if being used as an alarm. The TV was small too (but you're not there to watch TV so not really an issue!). The location is great though, close to bars, restaurants & not too far to walk to the main centre.

Mo the lady on reception is brilliant, so helpful and a credit to the company. Most of the staff are very good, the manager needs to review her customer service and the way she speaks to people. Amazing location beautiful views over the dock.. breakfast is boss, bar open till 3am ❤️❤️ The rooms are great, clean and I can't fault the hotel, it is starting to look a little dated in places, a bit of TLC in some parts of the hotel needed

Overall a lovely stay. The room was clean. The hotel was lovely and cool, nice for a hot day and the option to be able to warm your room is also available. The only issue was the WiFi, I wasn't able to connect to it in my room, and due to the type of building signal wasn't great. The road noise was minimal however, being on the 1st floor, it did mean that you could hear people outside or cars, but the amount of people was minimal. Breakfast was lovely and very nice, only downside was that the fried eggs weren't always available. Both receptionist were lovely and gave a great greeting and goodbye. The location is great if you are staying for the bars surrounding and the arena, with the centre just a 15 minute walk away.

Albert Dock is a pretty spot for a Premier Inn, promises a great view and you are in range to plenty of stores and restaurants. However upon arrival, there was a queue to check in. And reception has three spots for this and only one person was on the entire time. The ground floor rooms are not very nice. The hallways to get there are full of loud and creaky floorboards that no doubt disturb the other guests and the room itself was awful. Terrible interior design with exposed brick ceiling, with no view that a form of Zen garden, so don't expect any form of natural light. The bathroom was small with no detachable showerhead and the TV was so small and far from the bed that reading any text was impossible and the lack of streaming service options made staying in the room a struggle since we couldn't pack along something to substitute this problem. The reception boasts that there is a night menu from 10-5am. However reception told us it was actually 10:45pm, so after waiting we went to the bar / restaurant for some food only to be told there was none and we can either get a pack of crisps or order food to the hotel, which we did. Very disappointing and poor quality Premier Inn, would not book a night here ever again.

Very busy hotel which is short staffed never the less the staff went out of there way to assist. The hotel itself is in a great location however the rooms are outdated and in need of a refresh, No plug sockets or USB ports near bed, also the TV very small.

Location is great! Staff is bored. During our stay there was a fire Alarm. The staff was really slow and they were more busy to find themselfe an umbrella instead of helping the barefoot customers… the TV is so small you can‘t see anything from the bed. They wanted 3x the Price during new year‘s eve… Our bathroom has mold all over the ceiling, definitely Not okay. I think that‘s because all the walls inclusive towels are wet and the room is like 8 degrees without the radiator on 28 degrees the entire day and night. I think this place should be renovated and the staff should be nicer. Because of the mold I‘d like to get a refund, at least a part of the stay.

Service was great, room was shocking. Musky and damp smell in the room, TV was tiny, the aircon would periodically turn itself on and go up to 28 degrees during the night, the plug in the sink could not be removed, situated right next to a night club so music is audible throughout the night and guests leaving the club will loiter outside making noise at all hours of the morning.

Our group of 7 were all happy with our rooms, each one had great views of the river and the docks themselves. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of variety - we're were served by Mark who was warm, friendly and a great laugh. We will definitely be coming back.

Warm welcome from Georgia the very friendly and efficient receptionist. I love the building and quirkiness of the layout. Only a small side window but nice view. TV in the room was very small but worked fine. The bar is atmospheric and the staff are very welcoming. Thanks for another great stay

Booked for 1 night & were able to check-in early using the extra £10 option which we didn't mind. Stephen on reception was great - very friendly & helpful. Top man. The room was small but ideal for the 2 of us. Very quiet throughout our stay & comfy beds so we had a good night's sleep. Clean throughout incl. the bathroom which had a nice hot shower. Only (very minor) gripes were that the room was a bit too warm at times & was also on the inside of the building, so we didn't have any sort of view from the window. We had no major issue with this though as we were only there to shower & sleep, & if we'd been staying any longer than 1 night we would have asked to be moved. Breakfast was great. Lovely food with plenty of choice which set us up nicely for the day, so no complaints. The building itself has plenty of character with the original red brick walls & archways, but we did get lost a couple of times as it's like a rabbit-warren! A great location for the dock area & an enjoyable walk along the river. It's also next-door to the Beatles Walk museum which was handy for us, & it's only a 10-20 minute walk to the town centre & Cavern Quarter. Would definitely stay there again & recommend to others.

Essentially a regular Holiday Inn, but there couldn't be a better location to explore Liverpool. Very nicely constructed from dockside warehouses, many retained historic features, vaulted ceilings in the rooms, etc. Our room had a fabulous view of Albert Dock, the Liver Building, and museum. Good breakfast included (again, a lovely view while you eat). Would definitely come again.

Lovely hotel and a listed building. Perfect location for the city centre and stunning views across the dock. As you'd expect with a Premier Inn it was clean & comfortable. What more could you ask for on a short trip to Liverpool!

We stayed for one night, the room was nice and clean, what we expected to be honest, the TV channels were a bit limited. We booked for breakfast and waited about fifteen minutes to be seen to our table, there seemed to be only one woman clearing the tables and aeeting them again for the next guests, she was run of her feet. We then had to wait about another ten minutes for the food to be refreshed, I gave up waiting for the fried eggs. I think in all we were happy with the service, it was just let down by breakfast.

Generally not a bad hotel but unfortunately the main memory of being here was the miserable cleaner who was rude (on several occasions) and basically accused me of lying. She got fairly aggressive to me in reception and the manager / supervisor did little to resolve it. Management seriously need to have a review of how their staff interact with customers!!! :( ...and only 2 plug sockets in a room for 4 people?! Reception said they would give us an adapter but then heard nothing back...

  • 5/5 Mo M. 8 months ago on Google
One of the best Premier Inn’s I have ever stayed. Ideal location if you want to explore the Liverpool docks and city center. The family rooms were at its best in terms of view from the window facing The Wheel of Liverpool.

  • 4/5 Daniel S. 4 months ago on Google
It is what expected from Premier Inn in terms of the food and rooms. What was unexpected was the lack of staff. For a Friday evening there was one on the bar, one for the restaurant and one lady on reception that also handled all the phones and customers. Definitely need more staff.

  • 4/5 Paul T. 4 months ago on Google
Very convenient for the ACC and Albert Dock, short walk into the city centre. Quick check in. I was given room 145, which comes with a view of the dock, a very spacious room, however almost zero WiFi and Phone signal, TV could only receive BBC 1 and BBC 2, all other channels were breaking up, due to poor reception. A plug socket next to the bed is a bonus. Decent enough bathroom although could do with an upgrade and a nice walk in shower instead of the bath/shower combo. As per usual the bed was perfect. Air conditioning (it broke down 1 day in) and hairdryer in the room (cord was short and stuck to the wall with screws, so wasn't the easiest to use). Things to improve: 1. The TV was very old and small while the sound from the speakers was terrible. Could plug in a HDMI so had all my Google TV set up within a few minutes. Cleaner windows but being right on the dock I guess it's hard. A standing light in the corner would help, the room was very dark with no central light in the main area, just a couple of bed lights. The main light was too far down the corridor by the door. The brick work and metal beams gives the room a distinct feeling from other Premier Inn hotels. Needs modernisation.

Loved the place premier inn must take a serious look at staffing levels they are so under staffed . the young staff were run of there feet leaving the customer waiting . NOT THEIR FAULT. they were so cheerful and hard workers cutting staff levels this much is false economy . People waiting are NOT spending. HENRY . has to be applauded he gave a hundred percent. He never stopped and always had a smile . An asset to premier inn. Deserves a bonus 👏 We stayed Sunday the 6th August 2023

Where to start with this. We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and were very disappointed from the start. We were given our room, it was pretty poor. The room didn't have any heating for November. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned and was pretty run down. The curtains were stained. The 2nd room was just as bad! It started off ok with the heat until around 3am the AC started to blow cold and only cold air. The next day, we spoke with the day staff and explained this to be told it would be looked into. We left the room for the day to return to find the room colded than outside, another visit to reception, staff explained they were not aware of our problems. We were then supplied with an oil filled radiator and that are AC was set to cold and not hot, which they had to change. Hotel offers a meal deal with dinner and breakfast package, dinner isn't worth the money. It's a set menu we picked our choice and where ready to order to be told, sorry, where are out of almost every item, drinks is also a set menu with an option to upgrade. My partner chose to upgrade her drink, on the menu it starts "any spirits with mixer £2" when we asked for the bill we had been charged for the spirit and mixer separately, I brought this to the attention of the staff who didn't want to know, 1 member walked away and left what I believe to be a new start with this problem even the manager wasn't understanding the fine print on the set menu!! Below are rooms were very noisy bins and bottles being emptied constantly. We expected more from a major hotel chain and their staff.

Typical Premier Inn, basic, but clean and comfortable rooms. Set in an old dock side warehouse, with exposed brick ceilings. Be prepared for a significant walk from reception to your room; floor 1 has 80 rooms, meandering through this historic building! Not too far from Qpark One, which is £24 for 24 hours... Well situated for the nightlife.

  • 1/5 Darren D. 5 months ago on Google
Do Not consider this place! Apart from the breakfast, this place was not fit for purpose! Apart from the “Maze” like corridors to find your room and the bed bugs being on the loose in this place (overheard the neighbours interaction with one of them)! I also had a strange encounter with Room 173! This room had its very own internal viewing courtyard that resembled an enclosure from a top end zoo! With attractive landscaping and curtains to close over the window, unfortunately the lights were not switched off overnight to this area therefore making it near impossible to get to sleep as no black out blinds, unfortunately I never seen anything in the viewing gallery but did expect the Cadbury’s gorilla to jump out into this area at several points in my stay! Aesthetically the building does have some character but that’s it, the practicalities of this are next to nil! As Ben C mentioned in his review - this hotel is “quirky” to say the least! I would say Premier Inn needs to invest in this site, as long overdue and whilst the staff and location are both great it’s the building and ongoing upkeep that’s bringing it down!

Lovely hotel in an amazing place, so central to everywhere. Car park is a good 10 minute walk from hotel but get a discount as we were staying at hotel. Lovely breakfast plenty of choice Michael and Mark were rushed off their feet as it was busy. They always had a smile and very helpful to everyone. Thanks both much appreciated. The rooms were fine except the air conditioning was very noisy and when knocked it off the room was to hot to sleep. So had to put it back on. Would definitely stay here again but would ask for a room with a view as we couldn't see outside. All in all well worth it. Thank you Premier Inn. 😊

3 night stay with friends, room was cold, (freezing in fact).a/c unit was filthy, full of dust 🤮. Restaurant was a total let down. 9 meals ordered, over an hour later was advised order had not gone through to kitchen, then waited a further 30 min for meals to be brought out. No apology, nothing.

We stayed here after a concert. The room had no window to the outside so we were unable to get fresh air into the room. The fan in the shower did not work which added to the stuffiness of the room. At breakfast we had to que before we could get in the cause of this was lack of staff, there was one person checking you in clearing the tables the he was working flat out. Staff were nice and friendly. First time we have ever had a bad experience at Premier Inn.

Hotel on another visit may be better. On this occasion we had a room in the middle of the building with no window views or fresh air, the heating/Ac was not working and was banging. Not a very nice experience this time. Advise anyone to request a room with ANY kind of view prior to arrival.

Absolutely terrible, basement room so hot I ended up having few hours sleep only to wake up and start being sick because I had over heated. Our lipstick melted! Plastic rod sticking out mattress, AC unit isn’t an AC unit did nothing, no windows to open, bathroom fan not working. My friend complained at 2am as I was throwing up and we were just given another pathetic fan. Receptionist rude and sarcastic on check in.. ruined my friends birthday weekend. Now you can’t contact them and now complaints policy anywhere…..convenient. Ended up running out the building at 8am, shattered ready for a 2 hour drive home shattered!

This is a fabulous hotel. I have stayed here several times. Can I just say one thing. This place gets a lot of people saying it needs updating. This building is grade 1 listed. You need planning permission to change just about everything and that can take time and In some cases years depending on the council. People moaning about it not being up to date. It’s a building that was built in the 1800’s why should it need fo be up to date??

What a lovely building. Such well thought out quirky spaces. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was spot on. Our room was by the front of the building so first thing the beatles music started, which although not a bad thing at all I could have done with the extra time sleeping.

Sensitively built in an old tobacco warehouse which gives it an appeal. Breakfast good but evening restaurant was very noisy with music. Great location in Albert Dock area. Friendly staff - But we are in Liverpool so that is the norm. Minor gripe of no sockets by bed but would use again.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. The location is perfect for exploring Liverpool and found to be the surrounding area very quiet. our family room was lovely and had great views over the docks. However if you like watching TV in the evenings to unwind you probably won't be too impressed with the tiny screen.

Hotel room we stayed in was quite small, have stayed previously and had a much larger room on our last visit. The room was clean and well furnished, had one overlooking the Albert Dock, so nice view towards the Pier Head. Only gave four stars as the first morning we had breakfast at 10:30 which was our booked time, we ate and I went to get a coffee at 10:40 only to find the machine was switched off, I was told by a member of staff that it was off as the last sitting was 10:30 and that I could buy one at the bar. Needless to say I wasn't impressed and I didn't buy one. Bit of a trek from reception to some of the rooms. Also, couldn't find any aircon in our room. Parking outside is handy but I made the mistake of paying £20 upfront for 24 hours then going for a drive and being unable to find a vacant parking space upon my return, I had to use a car park adjacent to the one I'd originally parked in, this had a barrier and auto number plate recognition which you then had to pay for on exit.

Amazing building in a really great location. The building has been converted into a standard premier in as far as having the usual comforts is concerned but with an eye to using the features of this amazing old building. In our room we had bare brick walls and a funny cut out to give our room access to one of the origional windows. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Parking across the road was fairly expensive but really convenient. There are cheaper places to park a short walk away. All in all a great Premier Inn.

Disappointed of the cleaning, it's not just the usual dirt/dust behind the doors, on the headboard, but finding glass circles on the bedside tables means cleaners nowadays don't even bother to wipe with damp cloths let alone do proper sanitizing the surfaces what people usually touching. This is quite disturbing especially with still so many Covid cases around and also it's written down on the welcome note... The floor on the corridor is extremely noisy, whenever someone just walked past our room, I woke up. Walls also too thin, you can hear the television from the other rooms. Above all, I tried to chase my lost property. I've called the reception couple of times but they didn't bother to call me back if they have it, so I suppose it ended up either in the bin or someone's pocket. This was definitely my first and last stay in any Premier Inn.

We enjoyed our stay, despite our check in time changing to 5pm and then we had to wait in a queue for 1 hour, so didn't get in until 6pm. We had things booked which we couldn't attend which was a huge disappointment. We lived the history and architecture of the building. However, as others have mentioned it could do with a spruce up and the windows cleaned so visitors can enjoy the views.

Great location overlooking the docks. Early check in is a rip off 😂 but wanted to drop bags etc off, so what can you do. Nice room, has kept some of the old features of the tobacco docks with standard room stuff.

The location is perfect, the staff are nice and friendly and the breakfast was nice. The room was spotless. We stayed in 314, it was very quiet, the view wasn’t brilliant but we saw the sun rise as we pulled the curtain back. We would recommend the hotel and we’d stay again.

Great location and good room- everything we needed - overall good value. Staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Michael who was extremely helpful and professional. We will definitely be staying again.

Great location, really beautiful interesting building and the rooms would be perfectly adequate for a one night stay in the city but one thing I can't forgive is the bedroom windows hadn't been cleaned in what looked likes months. I imagine they are awkward to get to but you could barely see through the window, it made a lovely room feel really dark and dingy, such a shame.

Great building, grade 1 listed, brick vaulted ceilings in bar/restaurant and rooms, probably the nicest character Premier inn we've stayed in. Breakfast was the usual but missing the mushrooms. Had to go down to reception to ask for an extra towel as we only had 1, also no soap in shower dispenser. Other than that all good.

We stayed here at the very end of August, in a family room (number 420). The room itself is massive, we stayed with our 6ft odd 14 year old and never felt cramped or short of space (although storage space is somewhat lacking in all honesty). Our room had some of the best views I've ever experienced in a hotel - right on the top floor with windows out over the Arena/Liverpool eye on one side and the docks on the other. The only complaint was the lackluste air con which did little to cool down the room despite the modest temperature outside (it rarely ventured north of 23°).

Great location with the bus station across the road and loads of cafes, bars and restaurants. The building itself is amazing, fitting modern rooms into the historic building, leaving structural elements and brickwork exposed. A great place to stay for the beatles experience (it's the next building) or any activity in the docks area of the city.

Rooms here are barely passable. Large noisy air con unit. Bed isn't a usual premier inn bed. Bathroom needs revamping. No bin!? Very limited plugs in our room (picky but annoying of the tv, kettle and 1 phone is charging). Staff are excellent, the lad we dealt with on reception originally gave us a room right above the entrance, when we asked if we could change to a bit further away from foot traffic it was no problem at all and was very friendly. Not a premier inn standard and won't be booking again.

Our room was lovely and spacious. We were on the top floor in a double room. The first night, Friday December 16th we were woken up by next door who came in after midnight and were talking loud! My husband banged the wall twice before they finally went quiet! It's supposed to be " a good night's sleep" but not if you have inconsiderate guests next door! There should be a noise policy between certain hours in my opinion!

Very nice looking building from the outside however not really the stay I anticipated. The bedroom was basic and bed was comfortable however the TV was miniature and outdated. There was CONTSTANT noise all through the day and night. From outside noise to inside banging. I believe the bins were getting emptied at 5am and also at 1am there was the sound of something being pushed around on wheels and a big loud bang from one of the staff members outside. Seemed to be a total lack of respect to people staying and I could hear everything going on outside despite the windows being shut. Not a great sleep at all. Breakfast was very busy and limited amount of food available both days. Would I stay here again? Probably not as I'd like to have a peaceful night's sleep and not get woken up every hour to bangs, talking and any deliveries.

All the staff were friendly. Public areas clean. Was disappointed with our room. There was only a small angled window the room was too dark to read without the light on. The bed seems to be in wrong place because the large column was between my side of the bed and the bathroom. It would be easy to bump into it going to bathroom during night. We had to leave bathroom light on for safety. Breakfast was very good.

Reason for only four stars? The room was FREEZING and took ages to heat up. The building is an old tobacco warehouse with mostly raw brick walls, the room heater is high on the wall, and since heat travels up not out, it's basically heating the ceiling. That aside, the room was spotless. I think Premier should install larger TV's though. If you've sight problems, it's hard trying to watch telly from the bed. The breakfast menu is extensive to say the least and I'm 99.9% sure there is something for everyone. Very reasonably priced at £9.99 and you can stuff your face until your heart (or stomach 😁) is content. The same lovely receptionist checked us in and out next day. I'd definitely stay here again though. NB: Windows need a GOOD wash😁

Loved the location, but the room let our stay down. Our room was supposed to be a family, but I guess it was a double with a single bed parked in the window bay as it looked odd. The first night, we slept reasonably well. The room was warm due to no control over the air conditioning/heating system. The second night at 9pm, when we got back to our room after a meal, the heating/air conditioning unit was making a noise. We turned it off, but it was still making a noise. My husband reported it to the front desk, and they said the manager was in the bar and he would come and see us. We waited up until 11pm, but he never turned up! Our sleep was interrupted by the noise and also quite a bit of corridor noise from passing people. The corridor floors are very creaky, and you hear everyone passing your room. They could do with updating the rooms, the TV is tiny and very hard to watch. The beds are too hard and not comfy at all. Rooms need cleaning and not just bed making and a cloth smoothed around the bathroom. Skirting boards, tops of headboard, and lampshades need a warm damp cloth over them. The bathroom needs updating to a walk-in shower, not an over the bath shower, which is so outdated. Shame as the location really is fab! Shame about the room/hotel not being upto standard.

Really nice Premier Inn. Probably one of the best I've stayed in. Helpful staff. Great location, easy access to city centre. They have kept the quaintness of the building. Right next door to the Beatles experience. Lots of bars and places to eat very close by.

Not as good as it usually is. A wind up at reception for a start, one receptionist, and a queue of eight people. Feral kids running everywhere, parents didn't seem to care. Breakfast was just as bad. Kids running around, climbing up the windows, picking breakfast items up with their fingers then putting them back.... Maybe it was a combination of kids on half term and kids scoring free breakfasts? Oh, and vending machine out order too.

I usually stay at premier inns when travelling and find them satisfactory for the money you pay. This one felt quite old and outdated, I appreciate that it is in an old building but it was like a maze to get to the room. Bit of an odd smell in the corridor. In addition, the room didn't have a window looking out onto anything, but it was a window onto an atrium? So for those that like to see the outside it could probably be a bit claustrophobic. No plug sockets next to the bed if you wanted to charge devices etc. Bathroom was clean and simple. Took a while to check in but staff were friendly and polite. I would stay again if I had to but it is not worth the money. If you can afford it pay a bit more and go elsewhere.
