Attention to the hotel authority! I was happy with the hotel room and location. I thought the welcome was good enough until I got a parking charge notice from Horizon Parking. Upon my arrival, the hotel staff never told me to register my car at the reception. I asked the staff about the parking of my car. and they said, it's nothing to do with them. The outside parking is controlled by Horizon Parking. I need to pay for the duration of my stay at the machine and get a display ticket. I did that very well. and now Horizon parking is charging me for the parking! It's my luck that the display ticket is still in my car and I sent the evidence to them. Now they are telling that I didn't registered my car at the hotel reception. It's very disappointing when this is the responsibility of the hotel authority to ensure that the registration of guests' car. But they didn't provide the information properly. I bought 48 hours ticket for my car during my stay and still I need to pay the parking charge! It's not fair at all. I am not gonna recommend this hotel assuming most of the guests will get caught through this occurence.

Very cheap for a nights stay, but the price is definitely a precursor of the amenities. No wardrobe, no where to sit apart from the bed in the room, no wardrobe or hairdryer provided and you have to pay If you want more than 30 minutes access to the WiFi. Pay the extra £20 and stay at the premier inn

Hotel is great, parking company is a joke and will fine you. I've submitted evidence in terms of payment and hotel invoices but they won't back down. Certainly put me off from staying there again. I'll go to Premier Inn down the road for my future trips.

Very good stay. The room was perfect. Cozy for the two of us. One thing that was slightly annoying was that we left our room a few minutes before 12:00, but our key card had already been deactivated so we couldn't use the lifts. Having to carry everything down 4 flights of stairs because we checked out on time was not the ideal way to end our stay. Other than that, all good.

Absolutely shocking in all levels… been here three weeks now with work. The food is all frozen and very very badly microwaved… must have a drunken child in charge of the kitchen! The menu is very short and very bland. Although the food is free and already paid for by my company I have taken to eat from the vending machine which is temperamental at best the staff are very rude and not interested in the guests needs… everything is a chore for them! There are no outside seating areas so guests have no option but to sit inside in the scorching heat. At best there is a massive fan situated in front of the main desk ( just waiting for a child to poke it’s fingers inside ) I personally will never ever stay in this shambles of a hotel ever again as there is a premier inn just down the road with edible food and good customer relations. This will be my choice from this day on! Shame on you travelodge for this one obviously escaping your area managers input!

The room was okay, good shower. But apart from that there was loads of problems, the keycard had to be reset every time I tried to use it, couldn't get a spare key as they didn't have any 😏, every night their was some drama with some of the inmates. It's cheap for a reason

Good and bad. Really convenient for airport. Was greeted warmly by the staff. Using the lift with the card was too much for my anxiety so I climbed the stairs. Room was tired and in desperate need of a revamp. However the bed was clean. The shower not so. what more could you want? A shower that doesn't scald you! Went from pleasant to dangerously hot without any warning. I had a pizza that seemed home made and was plentiful and tasty. I didn't manage it all, and I can eat lots. The hotel was noisy due to people leaving for their flights with no consideration for others. I didn't have a good night's sleep due to this. Maybe they can put signs up asking for people to be quiet. All in all a convenient stay for airport with good food and a clean bed.

A decent hotel for its price. We stayed here for few days comfortably. There is a paid parking for this hotel which costs 5 pounds per 24 hours. The rooms were comfortable. The only issue we had is the cellular network for some reason is very bad in the room. It was fine in reception. There is a paid wifi here anyway if required. They have a restaurent downstairs which is open for only breakfast and dinner. There are many places nearby and lot of places deliver here too so it's not an issue if you have a car. It takes around 20/30 minutes to drive to the city center. This hotel is recommended if you have a car, otherwise would be a little difficult to get to the city. The price is cheaper compared to other hotels. The service could have been a little better but can't complain at this price point and it is good enough. There are several stores here and a mini shopping complex with in a mile radius even though it's a little far from city center.

Food is poor, but location and cost were good. All the other diners were dissatisfied by their foodand some had to return t to the kitchen. Parking is extra to room cost but its not expensive. Just eat prior to arrival and you'll have a fab stay.

Stayed for one night as had early flight. There was no food service but its a short walk to get food or you can order in. Great room - clean and comfortable. Tom on reception was very friendly and helpful.

Scalding hot water in the shower. It went from warm to scalding in an instant after being an even unchanging temperature for ten minutes. No gradual increase in temperature at all. When we complained at the reception, another couple behind us said they had experienced the same thing. (And so had my sister-in-law who was also staying there.) The receptionist said it was something they were aware of! Well, a warning would have been nice! I will never stay in a Travelodge again. Premier Inn rooms are nicer, bigger, and their showers don’t leave you with first degree burns.

Arrived at hotel and was greeted by Paul on reception and bar. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He had a lovely personality which is a good thing in the hospitality industry. The hotel was so much better in every way than i expected. It was clean pleasant and comfortable. Paul is an asset to Travel Lodge and would make me want to return

Very friendly and helpful Lodge, the staff are engaging with a sense of fun. Clean rooms plenty of tea and coffee on request, comfortable bed and decent shower. Ideal for a businessman on a budget. The staff rotate but this week Megan, Shea and Mustafa have been great.

After I couldn't get a room at the place I usually stay at when in Liverpool I got a room here for my kids and me and after reading all the negative reviews I was really worried but I have to say we had a great time staying here.the room was clean and laid out very well and the staff were lovely and very helpful but that's the scouse people for you they really are the salt of the earth.when we got a takeaway delivered they let us know and only once our room keys didn't work but this happens if you keep it next to your phone.we did have a weird guy try to get into our room but that not hotels fault as they didn't make him get drunk.we found that room was nice and quiet enough to sleep and has alot of amenities close by and the bus stop within walking distance so very easy to get about and have to say next time I go this hotel might be my first choice.

The hotel is a few minutes car ride from the airport. İf you want to be at the airport you're better staying at Hampton by Hilton. The reviews I'd read were not very favourable but we were only staying for one night so we took a chance. We were pleasantly surprised. We walked into reception and were welcomed by a very friendly and helpful young man. He checked us in and explained how to use the lift and room card. We dumped our bags and came down for a late drink ,(about 10-45). The service was good, and the drinks were exactly what we would expect. İn fact I commented to another guest that his lager beer was perfect looking. He agreed and added that it tasted great I mention this because previous reviews had highlighted problems with drinks. This had obviously been addressed. The room itself was very basic and quite dated, but it was clean and comfortable. You still need to be careful adjusting the shower temperature. Set it and test it before getting into the shower. The breakfast buffet was good. Cereal, croissant, full English, coffee, tea, toast, juice etc. The only negative possibly was that they only offered scrambled eggs; no fried or boiled option. However, this is now the practice in many budget hotels. So we were happy staying for a short period, it was good value for money and the staff were very helpful and friendly. As an aside, the bus service from the hotel into Liverpool city centre is excellent and only costs £2 for the thirty minutes trip. Our driver was very helpful in telling us where to get off and directions to our next hotel. Once in the centre taxis are very reasonable. There's a standing charge of £4-60 on the meter, which is good for about a five minutes excursion. The most we payed for a taxi journey in the city centre was about £6. So if you do stay at the Travelodge Liverpool airport for more than one night, it's still cheap and easy to visit the City.

Room was very tired looking carpets had bleach stains all round the edges, sticky tape on the roof like previous guests had had a party. Internet and phone signal was terrible almost like they have a blocker active to force you to buy WiFi. Phone showed 4/5 bars phone reception and 5G net but was getting nothing, went down into reception area to ask and all my notifications start coming through even though I'm deeper in the building. Staff were nice gave me free WiFi access when I queried. Paying for parking even though I paid for a hotel room is kinda cheeky too. I'd understand if I was kot a guest paying to park but as a guest you expect free parking.

Furthest hotel from the airport, takes about 20 mins to walk there. Catch the 500 of 86a from the town centre straight there or on to the airport. Right next to an Aldi, Starbucks, Dobbie's garden centre, Home Bargains. Buy your food out and take it to the hotel. Beds were comfy, room sizes OK but frustrated that we only got 2 bath towels to share between the three of us. Cups were filthy with rings around the top, took me two seconds to clean so don't know why it hadn't been done for us. Wanted breakfast the next morning. Felt very sorry for the two youngsters who were trying to sort it (I'm sure they were dying inside and couldn't wait for the day to end). Drinks machines needed filling, all of the surfaces were filthy (no need for this as guests could leave empty cereal boxes and tea bag wrappers on their tables or in a bin) . No white bread. One customer requested it, a frozen loaf was brought out. Food items came out one at a time so was difficult to get a complete breakfast. No knives for those that had managed to get a breakfast. Yogurts looked off, croissants squashed and old looking. Waited 40 minutes to be seated (didn't have the heart to ask more of the two staff that were struggling to cope). Restaurant was not busy at all, only about 6 families. Very poorly organised. Food that did come out looked nice though. One guest commented that it was like a scene from Faulty Towers! Quite entertaining to watch, had breakfast elsewhere.

A good place if you are traveling and need to be closer to the Liverpool airport. It is at 20 minutes walk and 5 min by car. A mall is at 20 minutes walk. The hotel offers decent rooms and a buffet breakfast which has sufficient diversity. The employees are very helpful and kind. I am giving a good rating since the place is what they say it is. Good job guys.

The staff are lovely , welcoming & helpful. My room was immaculate & so was the rest of the hotel. It was very quiet which made getting to sleep in the comfy beds very easy. Menu varied & of a good standard . Plenty of drink options.

Very handy for all areas and airport. Stayed here many times in the past, but don't like now having to pay for parking, only £5 per day but it the principal of it. It an outside company responsible for operating the parking and you have to log into their app.

Very handy for an overnight stay if your flight is late, conveniently situated with public transport links ( you can take the bus from the airport that drops you 6 min walk from the hotel), the room was good size, clean, the bathroom was well equipped ( better than most of the Travelodge hotels), the staff was friendly. We didn't use the car park and we didn't try the food so I can't comment, but I was surprised by the bad reviews, as they putted me off initially to book the hotel. I am so glad I didn't listen to the reviews, and I booked it. The hotel is okay for a one night stay, has better value for money than the other hotels situated near the John Lennon airport( we stayed on a Saturday night ), quiet, with good public transport links.

If you're looking for the bare minimum it's perfect, because you will get the bare minimum. 30 minutes free WiFi and pay thereafter daily is an embarrassment. Don't come during summer as there's no A/C and you'll end up being microwaved. And for what they charge for this level of mediocrity is obscene. Never again

We booked two rooms and one had fresh blood stains all over the floor and the other had the very strong smell of vomit and beer. (We saw later the rooms were only cleaned with a little Roomba, so not really a surprise.) The walls are extremely thin and you can hear absolutely everything from any room. Including someone pushing around a cart full of rattling glassware at three in the morning. Other guests aren't really mindful of this, especially if there's a local event taking place. That said, the staff are faultless in terms of service. Very friendly and efficient, checking in took two minutes and was very easy. They were professional without being too stiff or formal.

Food was soggy n greasy had to send back.. banging of doors at 3am then someone getting evicted by security banging on doors threatening to call the police. When complied in the morning of how bad asleep we had we just got told they'll look into it. Not very professional

The receptionist, Barbera, couldn’t do enough for us, really welcoming. The evening meal was cooked to perfection. I was expecting greasy, cold food. It was absolutely lovely. If you want to avoid more travel by going into Speake or Liverpool, this service will not disappoint.

Had to stay here because all of the town centre hotels were fully booked. Bit grubby and tatty. Corridor up to the room smelt damp. Front door area constantly full of smokers, smoke and cigarette butts. Breakfast mediocre.

Fantastic place. Staff very friendly. I cut my toe to the bone before we got to the hotel but wanted to wait till I got back to my local hospital to get it sorted, the 2 people on reception gave me some sterile wipes and bandages, then half an hour after settling into our room they came up to see if the medic on scene could help any more, which is a very very thoughtful thing to do... Thank you so much to the staff in question on the 27/07/2021. Xxx

Managed to get a room for £27 on a Thursday so I could travel up the night before I had a family funeral. Really impressed with the place. Checked in within 20 seconds, room was spotless. It's a peaceful, clean, modern and no-frills hotel. Everything was clean an new. All the plugs also had USB chargers built in. The shower was hot and had good pressure. Bed was clean and comfy. I opted for the breakfast box which turned out to be value for money; I didn't want to be driving round looking for food. Would recommend.

Arrived at the room I was given, to find a family all tucked up asleep in bed. Obviously scared them half to death and I didn't know what on earth to do. Went back to reception, to be told no other rooms available. Despite us booking and paying two weeks prior to the date of stay. We had the option of another hotel but we chose to come home as I didn't want to stay at another of their hotels as I wasn't sure how safe you are in the room not knowing if someone would walk in when asleep. Realised how vulnerable you are when at a hotel. So arrived home at 1.30am. Never stayed with Travelodge before and will never book to either. Whilst we where in the reception.... another two rooms had the same issue. A poor family with two babies where turned away and sent to another hotel at 12.30am. This is definitely not acceptable and the company needs to stop being so greedy and provide the service its guests are paying for. Without all the drama!!!! 😡😡😡 I was told that this happens frequently as the hotel over books rooms.

Don't bother with the restaurant. In the evening half the menu wasn't available, in the morning the breakfast was awful. I didn't have a hacksaw with me to get cut up my sausage. Eggs were a massive lump of sick.

Great value for money. Well maintained property! Nice and comfortable rooms However for me a regular room was converted into a family room. My kid’s bed was placed under the jacket hangers so either we could hang the jacket or put kid to bed :-(

Ok, where do I start? I try not to stay at Travelodge too often because with a few exceptions they are generally one step above sleeping rough. Unfortunately, this place can't even manage that. The shower randomly changed temperature from being warm to dangerously hot, the shower drain doesn't empty the shower tray as quick as the shower fills it so it's a race against time to get washed and out before the tray overflows. There is a leak somewhere from the toilet so the floor is constantly soaking, not sure if it's from the waste pipe or if it's clean water. The bathroom is stinking of dampness and since the cleaners don't come into the room for the entire duration of your miserable stay you're stuck using the same stinking towels that have absorbed the mouldy smell from the bathroom where they have been hung up to dry. The WiFi that comes at additional cost is only good for checking emails, any more than that and it's useless due to the low speeds achieved. If you need to go to reception for anything, you need to be prepared to wait until the only person on duty has finished flirting with the customer at the bar. The breakfast is average, so no complaints there but the only advice I'd offer is don't pay the £9 they charge, go around the corner to the Toby Carvery and give them £5 for their all you can eat extravaganza.

  • 4/5 Paul Frewer (. 2 years ago on Google
Welcoming staff, great breakfast, basic but comfortable family room, the only negative was the clothes hangers suspended from the rail approx. 1m above the head of the bed, which effectively rendered it useless as you couldn't sit up in bed as any clothes hung were touching your head. I don't understand how anyone could find that acceptable.

Sink took half an hour to drain and the toilet took several attempts to flush! Other than that it was OK. Handy location for the city centre. Main complaint is the floors are named after 3 of the Beatles and Paul o grady. Didn't realise lilly savage played drums for the fab four!

We arrived mid evening. There were 2 very pleasant but inexperienced staff members on duty but no management or senior staff. We were given our room key card which neither operated the lift as it should, nor opened the room. We we’re then allocated another room which was already occupied. Then an assisted room which smelled so badly of disinfectant that we had to try to sleep with the windows open ( which we couldn’t due to traffic noise). The twin beds were scarcely big enough to sleep young children. There was no hot water the following morning to wash or shower. We had a drink in the bar, a glass of warm white wine and a pint of flat lager. The next morning we could not exit the car park because we didn’t have the barrier code. It was a good job that we didn’t rely on food because there wasn’t any. Travel lodge have offered us a free breakfast next time we visit one of their hotels which will not happen because we will never return ever again.

  • 1/5 David C. 1 year ago on Google
Very late arrival that was advised beforehand. Hotel was locked up when we arrived and the only means of contacting anybody was a button that we pressed and pressed without any response. Banged on windows and eventually two staff arrived to say that they had been round the back. No matter that we were wondering if we had a room for the night. No real apology or empathy with our real concern about our 15 minutes of standing outside the hotel at 1:30 in the morning Room was small but functional. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. Had to ask for so many things, like cutlery and butter. Would never go again to a Travelodge and just so sad that we decided to give them a try, rather than our usual Premier Inn.

  • 1/5 Craig L. 1 year ago on Google
Waited over 30 mins for someone to check us in. Poor girl at the bar had to move over to help. Someone was in the back office clearly not bothered, just a sign saying “We are working somewhere else in the hotel”. A hotel that doesn’t hire actual receptionists to stay in reception is a disgrace. Then our cards wouldn’t work. Which means you can’t even access the lifts or stairs. This happened twice. On top of that had to pay for parking. The room smelt of damp. You would be better off sleeping in your car. NEVER again. Sent a complaint which may take 7 days to hear back from. Shows company’s values. Avoid like the plague!

You don't always have to pay for the hotel according to the pictures and the price. I will not visit this hotel again. The location was good, 20 min walk from the airport. The sidewalk from the airport to the hotel is bumpy. Carry a suitcase because of the unpleasant sidewalk situation. The hotel room was clean, while the shower room was molded from the ceiling, the ventilation was not working. After using the shower room, the mirrors were blurry. The shower was broken, the water was running from where it didn't have to run. The water pressure was dangerous, hot water came once and then cold water again. Be careful not to burn yourself. ☹️ Breakfast was ruined by a broken ☕️ coffee machine. The picture of breakfast in the elevator does not correspond to the real one. (Check pictures) 🍳 Crosante 🥐 was there and they saved the child breakfast with Nutella. The juice from the vending machine is terrible. This hotel is not recommended. Sorry, but the 🚿shower room needs updating and the plumbers should check the plumbing.

  • 1/5 Olesya G. 1 year ago on Google
Price is ok, the location is good for those who need a hotel at the airport. The rest is terrible: 1. The rooms weren't completely clean - for exampl the floor in our bathroom was sticky, the windows were dirty, of 4 bathroom towels 2 were unclean. 2. No essentials like hairdryer, any hooks to hang your coat (well, thank you very much for the hangers right over the pillow on of the beds), toilet brush, just one hand towel for a 4-beds room. 3. Card keys never work, you always has to go to the reception to charge it. 4. The shower is really weird, doesn't control the temperature of the water -- sometimes it's too cold, sometimes it's dangerously hot, got burnt twice! I hope I'll never come back to that place!

“I can only apologise” has got to be the party line of this hotel. The showers were lethal! Freezing cold, then boiling hot. There was no safety feature on the shower and it was able to scold you if you did not divert the shower head immediately. I raised this issue amongst a couple of others and was met with “I can only apologise” which in hospitality I disagree with. You can do more, you could offer a free breakfast, knock 10% off the room or just make a coffee. “I can only apologise” is a dated cop out line.
