Stayed here for one night just so we can use the spa area. Staff are amazing, rooms are comfortable, the beds are awesome. Spa area is fit for purpose with a very steamy steam room which is a rare thing these days. This would be a five star review if the rooms had a window that opens for fresh air. My pet hate is rooms with no opening for fresh air!

Went to crowned plaza for weekend. Its position is perfect for all the attractions. The doorman was a real gentleman very polite and helpful. A lovely touch of class ! All the manners were impeccable. Rooms beautiful. Food was well presented. breakfast buffet was really excellent . All in all a really pleasant experience on our wedding anniversary .

Location great , lovely hotel dated in areas. Just come back after a 2 night stay. This is the 3rd time stayed here and have always been happy at the staffs eagerness to help , however the young manager wasn’t very interested when I was expressing my disappointment as I received no bath robes after requesting these 3 times,in order to use to go to the spa In addition the extractor fan in our bathroom didn’t work. This is one of the more expensive hotels and I would expect a lot better. However he just said the robes were subject to availability and walked away. We were a party of 6 . Not impressed with the customer service on this occasion

We stayed here Sunday night last week, for one night. Me, my hubby and daughter. We arrived early at 11am, the gentleman on reception was very welcoming and said we could check in. The room was very clean, modern and loved the hot chocolate, coffee and green tea packets. We booked swimming for 5pm, had the pool to ourselves and jacuzzi!! Plenty parking and secure car park. Would definitely recommend and will book again.

The shower doesn't have pressure on the hot water. It has just a shower head. I reported the issue with the water, and they didn't fix it. Also, the towel was stained. Very bad quality with the money that we paid. I definitely do not recommend it.

This was the first time we stayed at Liverpool as a couple we were looking for spa with jacuzzi, gym, sauna etc, electric car charging and location you could walk to everything. This place ticked ALL the boxes. It was expensive though, and also despite being luxury the hotel hasn’t been refreshed/renovated in a little while, does still look good though, there was nothing worn/not working or anything. Charging is BP and all works despite Zapmap saying it does not, it is in regular use, but I managed to charge twice on it without a problem. Sauna, steam room were really nice, on the weekend we went not too busy either although you do need to book at reception. Breakfast was one of the best I have had, and I have travelled a fair bit. Bar is nice but expensive as you would expect! Great view from window and room was quiet with air con that was working too. Would absolutely recommend this hotel.

After being let down or knocked back by several other local hotels, I was delighted that the CP agreed at one days notice to show my group of school children around the hotel. On arrival, they were friendly and welcoming and showed the pupils around the different parts of the hotel, giving a clear and professional outline of the hospitality and catering industry. Thank you to Jo and the staff, including Frank and his top hat! We really enjoyed it!! The Grange Academy

Distinctly average. Stayed here for one night as I was in the area for hospital treatment and we wanted to treat our kids during the holiday as we can't go away this year. Booked as it had a pool and was fairly central. Cons - Considering it cost 4x what we'd usually pay for a more modest stay, I was underwhelmed in general. Our corner of the hotel felt tired. Bleach stain on carpet, which was also also massively rippled/raised and needed a good hoover. Stains on ceiling tiles in room. Noisey Aircon. Soundproof lacking - could hear our upstairs neighbours using the bathroom. When we arrived we were told the pool was fully booked and we wouldn't be able to book a slot until the following morning which was disappointing. Swimming pool floor was disgustingly dirty, needed a good scrub/bleach - wish I'd had flip flops. Water was murky and the floor felt gritty. Pretty grim. Pros - Enjoyed views of the Mersey and Liver building from our room. Delicious breakfast, great choice, inc good veggie options. Staff great - throughout stay they were friendly and attentive, cannot fault them. Not sure we'd spend the money here again.

Rooms were dated, with cheap and old mattresses. Having switched rooms, it was the same in both. The bar and bar staff were the highlight. £19 to park your car overnight. Many other better options along the docks to choose from.

THIS IS NOT A 4STAR HOTEL!!!!! Simple Standards are not there. We stayed in Room 412 The Furlong Suite ! We payed £400 per night approximately. Yes madness , but it was a suite and we were getting breakfast included. I always say pay high , get quality. Unfortunately this was not the case. Supposed to be one of the best hotels in Liverpool city Center ? Absolutely far away from that ! Location is good with a nice view (only suites) Breakfast is like rubber . (Scary of these standards here) Rooms (suite only/ spacious but our bath was full of human hair and sinks and dropping stained ceilings. Price overall (100% not worth it, they have the neck to apply this price for a suite and all the above in this standard) Staff (Good and polite but unfortunately in my opinion I think they are too good for this hotel) My opinion ( Work on the above) Return ? (NO) Recommend? (ABSOLUTELY NOT) Keep your money !

Visited Liverpool for the first time as wanted to try somewhere different. Booked this hotel as it seemed really close to all attractions we wanted to visit, and it was absolutely spot on. Pretty much everything is within 10 minutes walking distance. The hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful, attentive and most of all really friendly from front desk to bar and even in the swimming pool leisure area. We opted for the breakfast to fill up before a long day out, and the choice was great with something for everyone. It was never busy, and the food was constantly topped up. We even had an evening meal in the restaurant which was cooked to perfection so I would recommend this. If you don't fancy eating in the hotel, there are absolutely loads of eateries just a few minutes walk to Albert Docks. Would I visit again? Most definitely, without hesitation - keep up the great work and thank you for making our stay great 👍.

Came for a weekend away and stayed here for the first time. Will definitely return next time we're in the city. Very nice hotel, good breakfast, friendly and very helpful staff. Well situated and close to everywhere we wanted to visit. Good sized bedroom in immaculate condition. The bed and quilt is probably the most comfortable I have ever slept in.

Gaslighting not appreciated. The location was amazing, and the hotel itself was very nice, but my room’s AC wouldn’t cool. When I asked the front desk to send someone up, the maintenance told me that was as cold as it got, and their best solution was to offer me a fan. Problem is, my friend’s room on a different floor was frigid compared to my room. I wasn’t able to get a good night’s sleep even with the dirty fan they brought me. Then, on checkout the woman at the front desk inaccurately tried to charge me £100. After I questioned the cost she realized that she mistakenly thought I owed the money they had already held on my card for incidentals. The hotel wasn’t busy enough and cost too much for them to force me to stay in a room with AC that didn’t work.

This Hotel deserves the highest praise for its welcome and service . It was fab ! I was there for wedding reception and thoroughly enjoyed the friendly atmosphere in the function room and in the reception areas . I'm proud of Liverpool and of all of brilliant staff I met there . Beautiful location too!

Not the best experience in 2023, I have been traveling almost every corner in the world, never seen an insistent approach like what I saw! I booked a suite for me and my wife as we had special occasion.. they kept us waiting until 3pm not respecting their obligations to IHG rules.. as diamond members should have a priority on check in times.. that was not all ! Guess what they gave us finally a room with broken AC .. that blowing hot air in a very hot day in Liverpool!!! No apology.. no compensation.. we call ten times and went down to a receptionist and had a long discussion.. they offered a two single bed room for the first night without refunding the cost we paid for the suite.. very unfortunate!!

Warm friendly welcome. Spacious bed room and public areas. Good car park. A great breakfast, mushrooms were the best ever and great coffee! Location is perfect, within a pleasant walk to conference arena through the lovely Docks. Beatles statues nearby. Love you Liverpool, will be back!

We visited for an overnight stay for my 50th birthday. We chose this hotel due to location and the fact there is parking on site. We read lots of reviews before booking, and they were a good enough reason to book. There was plenty of parking, check-in was easy and quick, the desk staff were friendly and very helpful. We had booked a river view room, and it wasn't disappointing. The room was on the 4th floor. We had a great view of the dock and river. The room was clean and well kept, and the bed was comfortable. We ate in the hotel restaurant for our evening meal, and again, the food and service was faultless. Same with breakfast. I can't fault this place, not the cheapest in Liverpool , but you get what you pay for. Will definitely return at some point.

We loved this hotel and will definitely visit again. The staff are really well trained, everywhere is really clean, there's a nice atmosphere and the decor is pleasant. The pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are great. Breakfast is delicious. Dinner in the evening is over priced, but it's a hotel so this is not unusual. Ryan in the restaurant was particularly competent. The location is perfect for all the main attractions.

Great hotel, well located to all amenities and tourist attractions. Was on business when I stayed, but was a clean and very presentable stay. I do have to say a special mention to the extremely kind and helpful man who is the doorman and concierge. He made me feel so welcome and was ever so helpful throughout my stay, both for directions and taxi advice.

Overall, considering the price, this hotel was disappointing. Paid for River Mersey views, which we had, but was partly blocked by another building. Room was OK, we had room 418, but was nothing special, it was just a standard small room. Bath had shower over it, but it was all quiet compact. Main reception looked nice. Swimming pool was decent size, and sauna, steam room and jacuzzi was nice, but they too were just standard, nothing special. Location is riverside with not much nearby, good 10+ minute walk into city centre. Overall OK, but not worth the high price.

We have always scrolled past this hotel when looking for somewhere to stay in Livepool as some of the photos didn't look great and mixed reviews, however we decided to give it a go.... So pleased we did, wonderful location, parking right at the door, great pool & bar and the bedrooms are lovely (photos definitely don't do them justice) alot of choice for the room service menu and very reasonable too. All of the staff are great and very welcoming, we would return in a heartbeat!

Great hotel in a perfect location for a visit to Liverpool. The facilties, staff and services are fabulous. Unfortunately, I was allocated room 436 on my latest visit, placing me right underneath the roof mounted boiler. I got little to no sleep on either night I stayed, the rumbling vibration permeates every part of the room and would be banned under the Geneva Convention if used during war! Great hotel, but refuse any room on the top floor at that end of the building.

We had to move rooms at 11.30pm due to having a suspected leak above, however once it was reported we were set up in another room a few doors down within minutes, so disruption was to a minimum for everyone The service and staff are a credit to the hotel. The bar team especially have been superb, very friendly and welcoming Pool and leisure facilities are clean too Good location, close to the amenities and own parking I would definitely stay here again

What an absolutely amazing hotel, we booked for a Liverpool football weekend with the kids. From check in at 8am to check out. It was hassle and stress free. Ideally situated in the city centre close to shopping and transport, its an ideal getaway location. Big shout out to Theresa she was so helpful and the breakfast was amazing. We also dined twice in the restaurant and the service from Ellie was impeccable, all the staff were so friendly, and there was a great buzz around as it was very busy. Couldn't fault this hotel at all. We will definitely be back.

Staff are extremely friendly and really made our stay a positive experience. Every interaction was helpful. Great facilities and hotel is central to everything we wanted to do in the city, either by foot or a short taxi journey away. Hotel clean and suited our needs. We decided to Extend our city break by an extra night but the hotel was full so we booked into the Hilton across the road which was fine but wasn’t as good. Will definitely come back to the Crowne Plaza.

Fantastic staff, super helpful and attentive. Lovely big clean rooms. Spa and swimming pool. Hotel perfectly placed on the waterfront and plenty of parking! Now my favourite place to stay in Liverpool

  • 4/5 Amie B. 1 year ago on Google
Perfect location for the docks and city centre attractions. Car parking is reduced to £18 for hotel guests which is cheap compared to other central car parks. The staff were very friendly and made an effort to build rapport. All facilities are modern and well kept. The pool and spa were great, only downside was no dressing gowns provided or secure lockers. The women’s changing rooms are also on the first floor. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice ok the buffet.

Firstly, the staff in this hotel are fantastic. Every interaction I had with any staff member was professional/efficient/friendly. We travelled over to watch a match with my family. Excellent location; rooms & beds are entirely on point. I really enjoyed getting back to the hotel after the game and relaxing with as few pints; so comfortable. I will certainly book this hotel again.

Beautiful hotel throughout, the bar restaurant and spa facilities are also finished to a high degree. The bar and prices are reasonable for what you get. They seeve a wide variety of drinks and cocktails. Overall a very pleasant experience, would highly recommend. Lauren in the bar had fantastic service and made us feel very welcome, credit to her. We can't wait to come back soon.

This hotel is located right by the water with lovely views of the Liver building and the docks. The downstairs is beautiful with a nice modern bar with a big selection of drinks, nice restaurant and lovely reception area. However as nice as the rooms are they don't match the quality of the communal areas. The bathrooms are very dated and a lot like the old Holiday Inns, the bedrooms are more modern but lack the finesse of the downstairs. As I don't stay in the rooms for long that's not a big problem but definitely worth knocking it down 1 star.

As a Diamond Elite member, I stay at their properties a lot because their hallmark has been good service. All of the staff I’ve encountered at Crowne Plaza Liverpool have been warm and professional and incredibly helpful. In particular, Kenya at reception was fantastic. While the hotel may be in need of some fashionable updates, and there was an issue or two, the service made all the difference in the world. I would gladly stay here again when next in Liverpool.

Amazing staff, helpful and welcoming. Great location for some of the best parts of the city. Room was very hot but if you call down they can adjust the setting to something much more comfortable. Club lounge worth going for as you can pop in for a drink or small anytime.

A hard review to write because the staff all deserve a 5 star rating. The hotel gives the impression of being top end but our bed was so hard I genuinely wondered if sleeping on the floor would be the same. We were moved after a sleepless night to another room- bed was like a trampoline and really soft- starting to feel like Goldilocks we gave up. These are not quality mattresses. The room was lovely apart from this but the windows didn’t seem to seal so we’re drafty. The bath temp doesn’t get very hot either. I ran only hot water and was able to get straight in. I was gutted to find the ‘spa’ is a leisure centre attached. Walk through the door from the foyer and you’re in a grotty pool full of kids. Changing room lockers were dirty and unless you had a lock- which I didn’t, they don’t lock. The sauna was full of kids and steam room had those moulded chairs so you couldn’t sit any other way. Mould and dirt plagued the whole pool. The hot tub was out of order. Really disappointed as I partly chose the hotel on it having a spa. The club lounge was well stocked but a depressing place. So much could be done in terms of decor and comfortable chairs. The coffee machine didn’t work either and childrens films played despite there be no kids! As I said, lovely staff but the rest totally let it down. Not 4 star to me.

The staff couldn’t be more helpful. I must mention Robin on the door. And Gabrielle who kept our room lovely. The restaurant chef listened to our requests. And the whole experience was amazing. Our room was the perfect position overlooking Liver building and The River Mersey. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We had an excellent stay for my partners birthday. Receptionists were very friendly on arrival and explained everything to us. Everything was simple to book and most facilities were open. We got to use the pool, sauna and steam room during our stay which was unreal. Breakfast was also very good value and the staff were on hand to help all the time. Was close to everywhere we wanted to go and we had a great nights sleep.

Nice hotel, rooms are a good size. Excellent check in . Just a bit of noise from function on ground floor heavy bass from disco. We are on the 3rd . Would presume its better on wings . One thought... a small fridge or cooler would be useful. BILL & JAN

Enjoyed our stay, was a little disappointed with the view as we'd upgraded to a water front room - which technically it was, but with a huge building in front too! Wouldn't pay the extra for this next time. Comfy, clean room, bathroom a little dated. Great selection at breakfast and food was well cooked. It's a shame that the plates they use are very small, more like a child's plate and many guests were grumbling about this. Pool area could do with an update, could be made so much nicer. The evening bar was pricey - it cost us £16 for 2 drinks.
