A family wedding brought us to this particular Premier Inn on recommendation. The service we received surpassed all expectations in every regard. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make our stay a very memorable one for all the right reasons. This is a truly exceptional Premier Inn (not forgetting the first class breakfast). Everyone in our party agreed that the staff here were wonderful. We will return for all our trips to Liverpool in the future.

We did not enjoy our stay, the room was unkempt, broken toilet seat, coat hanger in the toilet not screwed in. Bed sheets were not looking clean. Room had a really bad odour on arrival. The bathtub panel was all rotting, there was excretion marks on the wall in the toilet. During the night there was too much noise coming from the above floors, and people trampling across the floor. On arrival the staff were rude, as we booked 2 interconnecting rooms to look after my disabled mother. On arrival we were told cannot do interconnecting rooms and no one informed me of this sooner. Then to top it off they gave us 2 rooms that were not even next door. We spent the 4 nights worried about our mother, as she was not next door to us. The staff were unfriendly and rude on arrival and there was no smile to greet and, and it was clear they were not ready to help and accommodate us. On the first night we asked for extra pillows and we got told straight away from reception that there was no pillows, without checking or saying we will try our best to get some for you for another night. It is the worst premier inn I have stayed at, and I stay at a lot of premier inns. Will never be visiting this one ever again. So disappointed for myself and my family.

No Aircon in the rooms and the fan switches off after an hour. The control on the wall looks like it’s moving from 30 Centigrade, but it just drop a few degrees and is constantly at 29’ . There’s no EV charging point. The wireless doesn’t work, well intermittently. This premier (I stay in plenty) is very clean, large and very friendly and helpful staff. There’s a beefeater next door and a lady fitted me in, Even though I hadn’t booked a table, thanks. It’s a busy pub with a very large area to sit outside and grass area. I just wish premier would I) have a gym 2) have decent aircon 3) have decent wireless. It would be great

We stayed overnight receptionists very helpful, bed very comfortable, a thorough cleaning needed to be done with shower seal which was disgusting, the seal was brown and slimy with old water and most likely dead skin. Room 128!which was a£117. There where also stains on toilet seat. Could do with air con or better fans for what you pay for the rooms. Probably do with a bit of a refurb or different cleaners. Breakfast great, friendly staff

The room was very large and clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel would definitely benefit from air conditioning I slept a total of 3 hours due to the stifling heat. It was only 15c outside but got up 29c in the room. Fans are provided but just blow the warm air around.

The room was of the slightly older design with only a USB power socket by the bed as opposed to the newer design with a 13A socket, fine for a phone and as long as you have no other devices that might need a mains outlet. Maybe I had a bad night at the Beefeater next-door but the meat on the mixed grill was "basic", edible but not awe inspiring, which for the cost it should have been! Breakfast the next morning was great. The reception and catering staff were great and in general the site was clean and tidy.

DO NOT COME! Worst network I have ever seen. The Wi-Fi here cannot even support you to work (100kb/s) and if you need a better connection you have to pay extra £5 for A DAY. You can’t even use your own hotspot as the mobile only got 3G NETWORK. The most disgusting hotel and worst experience.

The rooms are spacious but disappointing that no laundry service was available after staying a week. The food at the Beefeater restaurant was amazing every single night!

Had a wonderful stay here. We used this place as a base to travel the West Coast beaches (Morecambe bay, Blackpool, Southport, Crosby beach, New Brighton) and ofcourse Liverpool. It was a lovely Premier Inn, and the staff on the desk were excellent...

What shocks me is just how low the expectations of the British public has become to rate the hotel with 5 stars. The staff are lovely, yes, but: free WiFi is so poor that outlook won't even start and just times out - so you have to pay more money. Website tricks you by displaying the first night cheaper than the rest. If you want breakfast you have to let them know the night before and then, guess what, you have to pay in advance! Floor creaks everywhere. The whole building needs painting. The wooden elements around the walkway outside are broken and falling to bits. And have been for a while. Shower is dirty with mildew growing around the shower tray. The food isn't good - it's really poor but that's what Britain has become accustomed to. I have to stay here - it's really the only option for when I visit our Liverpool factory. It's a shame what England is becoming / has become.

Great location. Less than two miles from Aintree Racecourse. Plenty of free parking. Beefeater next door for meals and breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Well stocked vending machines in foyer. Room was modern comfortable - usual premier inn. The reasons I deducted a star were firstly, the bath panel was damp and rotten at the bottom. Secondly, there was a small red stain on the sofa bed and the chair - I don’t want to speculate on what this may or may not be. Thirdly, there were a few stains on the side of the bed frame - again no speculation. I did not bring these things to the attention of staff because I didn’t notice them until we were ready for bed and because we had such a good quiet nights sleep I just decided to let it go, but for the benefit of honest reviews I thought I should mention it here. The bath panel is a maintenance issue, not really that big a deal in the grand scheme of things but if I saw the stains then housekeeping should have too. I shouldn’t have to point them out. I wouldn’t stop using Premier Inn because of this but I will check my room more carefully in the future.

A great location for visiting family in the north of Liverpool. An ample free car park is next to the hotel. There is a covered walkway from the hotel to the adjacent Beefeater where breakfast and evening meals are available. The room was perfect and as always spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Staff could not have been more helpful or cheerful.

Stayed here for 3 days and can say, as I travel a lot, especially in London, this has been by far one of the better experiences. Staff are friendly, yes the WiFi isn't the best but that's every Premier Inn I've stayed in. The restaurant next door serves really nice food which comes out really quickly. Those who comment on lack of signage/unable to find the hotel, should learn to drive. Easy to find, location is decent, great access to the main roads. Top stay would come again.

Staff are more worried about Data Protection than they are about customer service. (this is not their fault) World is going crazy. I didn't actually stay here. I was looking for a wedding party. Staff couldn't help me due to "data protection"

Basic, but comfortable. Walked into reception and despite having quite a lot of luggage and clearly coming in from a long journey, I was asked to confirm timing of breakfast and had to look up details before I sorted my room with limited space and hand room. Not great.

Booked a Family Room for New Years Eve couldn't fault the room the kids loved it and the beds were comfy but when it came to the volume of other Guests and your Employees capability of keeping them in check it's a joke, my Partner didn't sleep at all due to Guests stomping through the halls until the early hours of the morning then to top it all off when she finally does manage to drift off she and I were both rudely awaken by what sounded like the cast of Stomp rehearsing their latest routine, I did tell the Staff about the issue and was told they knocked on the door and got no answer but said to keep the noise down which the occupants clearly took personally because the noise only got worse and only stopped when they left the room. Next there is the all you can eat breakfast and I have to say I didn't know they made sausages that taste like sage and onion stuffing but they're defo not for me, the bacon was colder than the temperature outside, the hash browns were undercooked, the Eggs were overcooked, the beans tasted funny, there was no Nutella or Pancake syrup for the already underwhelming and Cold Pancakes. All in all I want a refund and it's highly likely I won't be staying there again if I do it will be on the top floor and I won't be touching their food. 🤮🤮🤮

Friendly and helpful reception. Hotel is generally clean although exterior looks tired. My room was very clean and comfortable. Wi-fi not available during this visit. Location is not good, it is not at all easy to travel safely as a pedestrian because of the many busy roads. No sign for hotel turning which meant a 3 mile loop to get in. There is restaurant next door but I wouldn't stay more than one night because of the location issue. After day of work/travel I don't want to take my car out again in the evening.

  • 3/5 Robin W. 2 months ago on Google New
A fairly average experience. There was a limited phone signal in my groundfloorroom, which is beyond the control of the hotel, but was a problem as the wifi wasn’t working on the night I arrived - it did come back on in the morning. I forgot to bring my toothbrush and was surprised the vending machine didn’t have one. The biscuits I was given on arrival helped to make up for some of the shortcomings.

It's OK. Staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. Beefeater next door is very good. Room unfortunately was basic, many bulbs out. Premier Inn used to be the top of their game but are clearly dropping to the Travelodge standards. Would I recommend?? Really not sure these days.

  • 5/5 Mark W. 1 year ago on Google
A good size hotel, though the wifi was a bit hit and miss, but saying that, i did have an end-room, so maybe that was the issue? ALL the staff, from the afternoon/evening, night and following morning were the most friendly and helpful bunch i have come accross - and that was also noted in the restaurant next door (a good meal too!) Would definitely stay again, when next in the area

I had a major issue when booking in but it was resolved by their Head Office. The room was ok, bed as comfortable as ever but there was black mold in the bathroom. Close to the motorways if you're driving but out on a limb for public transport

Premier inn standards are always good, comfy and clean. Staff are friendly. You have to request room clean the day/night before. Location is about 20/30min drive from centre. Few shopping parks near, easily accessible by car, quiet a motorised area. So walking to local shops isn't too pleasant.

  • 3/5 S G. 1 year ago on Google
There's no mobile signal in the room, so you're forced onto the wifi, which is only 1 bar and cuts out. Not great if you're a business traveller and need to work in the evening. I wouldn't stay here again because of this. This has actually delayed my work away.

Cleaning is perfunctory. Have a look at the soap dispenser, it has never been cleaned. Everything else is also perfunctory, air conditioning is turned off and replaced with portable fans. The beds and room size are fine. Supply extra towels if required. Free parking. The breakfast is a disaster zone, especially for vegetarians and food cross-contamination. All dishes are tightly grouped, and customers tend to use one utensil to serve themselves from each dish and thus risk cross-contamination and upset the non-meat eaters. No one cares to supervise in the food serving area. Long wait for breakfast items to be replenished, The servery area is a small cramped place. Avoid.

Very good premier inn stayed for two nights for work. I had a few personal issues on the day of checking in and the staff were very helpful on the phone checking me in so I didn’t go down as a no show. Then I managed to get there late at night and they checked me in in a friendly manner. The room is very comfy with a bath and shower, the beds are always so comfy to sleep on. Yea and coffee was readily available and I couldn’t fault anything

Good value accommodation and handy if you want to go into the centre via the train, as the station in a 15 minute walk away. There is no air conditioning though so be warned if staying during warmer periods.

Great place. Nothing is too much trouble to the staff. Stayed 3 weeks due to a fire and they went above and beyond to make us as comfortable as possible. Just got brand new beds throughout . Near motorways, train, bus, shops and bar/restaurant. Excellent.

We stayed for 2 night. We had breakfast and tea there both nights. The staff in both the beefeater (Anne and Isabelle) and the hotel were very friendly and helpful. All the staff we encountered were very nice. Family room hotel was exactly as you'd expect a premier inn hotel. Would definitely go back again.

Great stay at Liverpool North the staff were amazing Thanks to Sue Debbie and Louise also Diana Julie and Abbey. New beds are so comfortable I didn’t want to get out of bed. Cleanliness was top notch and the food in the Beefeater was so good.

Located 10minutes from Old Roan train and bus station, this Premier Inn is ideal for families, couples or single people. I stayed with my partner and we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Granted for just 2 nights during a storm but it was still peaceful and we were well looked after. The adjoining beefeater is expensive so we didn't use it however there is a 24hour asda about 15minutes walk away. Also a McDonald's restaurant is about the same time away in the opposite direction. If ever needing accommodation in the area of North Liverpool again will definitely consider staying here again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Two women at the reception were really helpful and welcoming but got told our room had a bath tub in but only had a shower. Came to bed time outside was 12 degrees and the room was 26 degrees, the window opens about 3 inches, being a heavily pregnant and having a 6 year old we barely got any sleep. Went downstairs to reception and the guy on there was damb right rude saying well there's nothing I can do it states there's no aircon in the room, I checked the website myself and it does not state that. Only good thing about the place was the breakfast next door! If you're wanting to stay I would advise to only stay in winter unless you want a sleepless night.

  • 4/5 Myfanw J. 2 years ago on Google
We stayed here for 3 nights. It's just off a very busy road. The days we stayed were incredibly warm. There is no air conditioning in the rooms and the fan didn't really cool the room down. There is also a small window which we had open the whole time. It was actually cooler outside than inside. It was quite uncomfortable to sleep due to the warmth of the room. We didn't complain as there really isn't anything that could have been done. The hotel is clean, staff friendly and there is a lot of option of food and shopping a short drive away. The local train station is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel and from there it only takes about 15minutes to get into the centre of Liverpool. Great alternative to driving in. We didn't use the restaurant next door. I would stay here again if in the area.

Good Premier Inn. Room was to normal good standard. I stayed 3 nights and although housekeeping didn't enter the room because of Covid precautions, if I needed anything I just had to ask at a very helpful reception, ie Tea, coffee, milk ect. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good position to easily get onto the road network, either into the City itself, or other routes around the area. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Local Train station into the City itself. Trains run regularly and the journey takes about 20 minutes... brilliant. Personally I only had Breakfast at the adjoining Beefeater Restaurant each morning, which was very good. There is a good selection of food to help yourself to including Tea, Coffee, ect, and if you opt for the cooked Breakfast, you order it at your table and its cooked fresh for you there and then, so is always nice and hot. All in all, a good experience, and I would definitely stay again.

Excellent value for money. All you'd expect from a Premier Inn - comfortable clean rooms, good breakfast and lovely staff.

  • 5/5 Ruth 2 years ago on Google
Pleasant helpful staff. Clean rooms. Excellent short break. Thank you. My recommendation to premier Inn would be to have a grab rail over the bath for using shower as I didn't feel very safe getting in and out. Also going to the smaller car park there is a little ramp up to a fire door which again could do with a rail for those of us with walking sticks. It's only a small slope but that would make a massive difference.

Room lovely, comfy and clean! Suprised on arrival on how rude the staff were, especially after reading the reviews on how great they’ve been previously. While checking in the lady didn’t even say hello, just started asking questions. One of them being what our nationality was (I realise that she’s been told to ask but why do I need to know). Then while walking up to our room a cleaner staff last barged past us, didn’t even acknowledge us or say sorry. Dissapointing. Won’t be staying again.

A good hotel and attached restaurant. Friendly staff at reception and in the restaurant and good clean rooms with all you would expect from a Premier Inn. In a good location for access to Liverpool and Southport and Aintree racecourse.

New check in time is 4pm.. I had driven 250miles mostly M5/M6 but had an exceptionally quick journey arriving at Noon. The lady on reception was brilliant and checked how far my room was to being ready then said I could have it in 15 mins. The cleaning lady made a special effort for me., and it was SPOTLESS! This isn't the 1st time I've stayed here and it won't be the last!

No bath.Glass screened shower the only way to wash a small child. No bedside table on one side of the bed. Expel air very noisy so had to use a torch to go to the toilet at night. Bed comfy but winter weight quilt far too hot- especially when there is no air con. When are Premier inn going to stop using heavy polyester quilts? Staff helpful and friendly.

Can't fault this premier inn. This was our 3rd stay and find it really friendly spotlessly clean and staff are very helpful. Would recommend it in fact we already have done and other family members will be using here in future

A typically clean Premier Inn hotel in a nice rural location, friendly and helpful staff and the adjoining Beefeater restaurant is brilliant. Only about 8minutes walk to The Old Roan railway station, with a train every 20min, and a 20min journey to the city centre, also one railway station away from Aintree racecourse and about a half hour taxi ride from Birkenhead ferry port.

Have stayed in various Premier Inns across the UK. Liverpool North Premier Inn is far and away the best. Great reception on arrival. Rooms always spotlessly clean. Debbie on reception was a pleasure to deal with.

  • 2/5 Susan “Sudo” W. 2 years ago on Google
We have never been disappointed with a Premier Inn. Until now. On the plus side, I cannot fault the staff, very pleasant and efficient. Friendly without being over familiar. We had booked a double room, which was clean. No shortage of electric sockets. On the minus side 1, No air conditioning but there was a small fan, and it was small, it was quite noisy so no way you could a left it on at night. 2. The hanging space for clothes was miniscule. There were no drawers to put non hanging aparel. If you were here for one night, it wouldn't be a problem BUT we were there for 4 nights and it was very annoying having to virtually live out of our suitcase! 3. It seems to be the norm now not to supply miniature toiletries, but to put had soap, and body wash dispensers. I always take soap and shower gel so no problem for us. 4. Be prepared for no housekeping! We were told that the rooms wouldn't be cleaned daily due to covid restrictions. It had been decreed by the powers that be. You could request your room to be done, but they require 24 hours notice. We were unaware that we had to give this notice as we hadn't been told. So our room never got cleaned. We had to therefore ask for clean towels, toilet paper and rubbish bags at reception. We were not impressed. It is a Beefeater restaurant if you choose to have any meals. We opted for continental breakfast which was priced at £4.99. We requested porridge for us both. After a good 15 minute wait my husband's arrived, mine didn't! This time a 20 minute wait. The waitress apologised and said this was due to them being very busy and staff shortage. I don't want to sound unsympathetic, but this was not our problem. We decided not to return for any meals and found a Harvester restaurant close by whose cooked breakfast was excellent and priced at £5.99! We had all our meals there for the duration of our stay and couldn't fault anything. For any future visits to Liverpool we shall not be staying at this particular Premier Inn.

Very good. Our very first trip away from home in over two years. Staff helpful, warm and welcoming. The room was very clean, especially in these days of Covid-19, the room felt safe, a big thank you to the cleaning staff. All-round, the Liverpool North was the the best P.I. we have stayed in thus far.

Great stay, clean rooms, restaurant staff in the packet streamer next door and staff in the Hotel absolutely fabulous. One slight negative was that the Internet in the hotel room was not very good, with intermittent signal so not great when you are trying to work. My network Phone Signal was not great either (Vodafone), so couldn't tether either.

Had a lovely stay in this Premier Inn very cosy room had a great sleep I recommend anyone to stay here if coming to Liverpool. You know what to expect with premier Inn. Clean, spacious, everything you need and at £39 there was nothing to complain about..except if I had been a woman on my own I would have been a bit worried about the flimsiness of the door. Everything someone passed the door it shook as if someone was trying to get in...bit scary especially as someone was knocking on our door in the middle of the night before finding the right door.

Last minute booking, and expensive as everywhere was busy. Accommodation is the usual standard, but room was warm and no air conditioning, although a fan was in the room. Friendly staff and beefeater next door was convenient due to busy schedule and reasonable breakfast.

The rooms and service are fine, like all Premier Inns. The free WiFi, like all Premier Inns is tragically slow. Like a trip back to the 1980's. How much can it cost for a decent connection? Too much for Whitbread, that's for sure. I suppose I could pay the premium for the upgrade but it's 2022

The bed was comfortable and very clean it's no reflection on the staff but a bit of maintenance the extracta fan in bathroom wasn't working and the lamp on the dressing table wasn't working overall a lovely night's sleep

  • 3/5 Peter R. 1 year ago on Google
It’s a budget hotel so the expectations should be set accordingly. That said the staff was very friendly and nice, both in the hotel and the next door breakfast restaurant. The bed was also very comfortable and the room a bit worn but not to a point it was disturbing. The bathroom was nice. All the usb charging points were broken which was surprising but we found a workaround. Would I stay again? Maybe.

  • 3/5 Paul and Vicky A. 1 year ago on Google
Could definitely do with a refurb. Our bathroom has paint peeling off the ceiling, rusty door hinges, bath side panel suffering from water damage. Note that this hotel does not have air con. We stayed when it was very hot and although fans were provided, they were rubbish. Would probably think twice about staying here again unless it's refurbished. Below the standards of other Premier Inns I've stayed in.
