Stayed here for a month whilst working in the area, luckily from the start myself and my colleague rooms on the top floor overlooking the wonderful Albert dock. All of the staff were brilliant, much gratitude and thanks to every single member of the team. Working away from home for months on end can be tiring, but it was so restful here, great soundproofing in the rooms, comfortable beds with two pillow types. Breakfast was great, bar and pool table. Overall a very enjoyable time, perfect location, secure parking, never had a problem finding a space. Free coffee!! The best Ibis I have ever stayed in.. Awesome!!.

Good value for money. Rooms are a bit basic and dated, but clean. Shower/toilet door didn't have a lock on it. City centre only 10 minute walk away so location is excellent. Staff were very helpful and polite. Room service is good and daily hoovering/changing bed sheets and towels was done. Onsite secure parking but costs £10 per day. Hotel is card only and don't take any cash

Poor attitude of one staff ruined an otherwise enjoyable stay at the hotel The attitude of the male staff at the reception at 10:05am on 15/10/2021. The following is a rough interpretation of the conversation I had with that staff Me: Hi, has a taxi been booked at 11am? I have talked with your colleague last night and she told me she would book the taxi Staff: I don't know where to find it. Don't worry, we could book a taxi and they can be here within 10 mins Me: But there is already a booking and I saw your colleague wrote that down Staff: I'm sorry, I don't know where to find that information. We use so many taxi services. Me: Sorry mate, I'm not being funny, but could you at least find that out from your colleague first (by that point, I already noticed the taxi booking written in the note, just a few feet away from him on the desk, but I just want to know how long he could keep up with that poor attitude) Staff: sorry, I don't know how to help you. (By that time, another woman staff came in and gave him that note with my booking on it.) Staff: oh yes, we do have a taxi booking for you. Me: thank you, but you are not having a good review this time. I expected a bit more from an Ibis hotel. Imagine that you are the customer with that staff, he showed a complete lack of interest in the customer's enquiry and brushed me off. My first ever experience coming across a hotel receptionist with such a poor attitude. Our stay was enjoyable, but I hope that staff got a proper disciplinary meeting with his manager.

Basic but clean... But what do you expect for £80 a night ?...location is excellent...tenner a night to park was fine...car park appeared secure.....staff were extremely helpful when we found ourselves on a floor with drunken lads banging on doors and screaming n shouting....they moved us 3 floors down immediately....only dislike was the single beds are right next door to each other ...apart from that it's cheap n cheerful . It's perfect for a night's stay ...

Absolutely loved it here, the staff couldn’t have done more and the room was excellent. Location brilliant with everything you need within a short walking distance. Will definitely be coming back soon.

Recently stayed here. Ideal location close to the docks, and within a 20 minute walk of most places in Liverpool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only reason I've given 4 stars is because of the parking charge. Just thought it should be included in the overnight stay price.

Chosen for its location and low cost, both were correct choices, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and spacious but very minimalistic, (very small areas for hanging clothes, no drawers or hooks for coats) just a few shelves, that said adequate. I've only given 4 stars as our pair of 2'6" single beds were so uncomfortable my wife struggled to walk with a bad back on the second night, I also suffered restless nights, we had to change rooms, staff were apologetic and moved us straight away, newer, wider, softer beds just the medicine. Breakfast is buffet style and regularly checked, very helpful start to the day.. Parking on site is convenient and chargeable daily.... We will return only if they give us the second room, or the like 👍

Rooms a little dated but very clean. Staff really nice and location is spot on. Breakfast is plentiful with lots of different options for all diets.

Great location for city centre sightseeing. Room a little cold and hand towels need to be provided in addition to bath towels. Breakfast was well worth £12 with plenty of choice. Restaurant menu had adequate choice and food was value for money. Staff pleasant. Overall a great stay and would definitely return.

Right opposite the Albert Dock Centre and close to the Cities main attractolions, this is a very comfortable hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful and an easily accessible car park make it a great place for an overnight stay. There is a small bar area serving food and drink. Rooms and bathrooms are small, yet comfortable and functional. The beds are of Ibis's renowned standard.

  • 3/5 Paul C. 9 months ago on Google
Strategically positioned for all points of interest. Car park. Uphill walk to the cathedrals, the docks and places to eat are across the road. A short walk to the Liver Building and a little further to the Cavern Club.

The room was clean. Service wasn't the best, a little rude. The breakfast is dreadful as if they don't want to do it. The restaurant is uncomfortable. It's like sitting on 1980s school chairs. Style over comfort. They can do so much better.

Location is the best thing about the Ibis Albert Dock - right in the middle of things, step outside and you're right there ... The rooms are adequate, clean but very small. The staff were helpful, and accomodating, they even let me park my motorcycle immediately in view of the reception desk for additional security, for which I was grateful (thank you for that). For the price, the Ibis is great value, and I would recommend this place for your stay in Liverpool.

Well placed hotel opposite Albert Dock and attractions... Short walk to all shopping centres.. Rooms minimal but clean, as per price. Staff a bit indifferent 😐 Breakfast is fine but quite expensive. Parking space limited but reasonable £10.

Great location in Liverpool. Walking distance from the hustle and bustle. Great choice for breakfast all buffet. Nice staff. Room small but does everything that you need. Would use it again.

  • 3/5 Maxine S. 10 months ago on Google
Clean room. Would have liked a dressing table mirror. The real issue here is the unbearable heat in the room making sleeping difficult. Air cooling system a waste of time. Great for access to the Albert docks but we were overlooking building works with the early morning noise that comes with construction. Not relaxing at all

  • 2/5 Jonathan S. 1 year ago on Google
Hotel is clean and tidy, staff are all very nice, location excellent However my room is absolutely freezing (I had to ask for an extra duvet) the rooms have a basic air heater cooler ….. it was warmer keeping the air system off tbh! The bed mattress is solid and uncomfortable, possibly the floor would have be much better. Pod style bathroom - clean and does the job. Breakfast was fine for the charge. Next time I will pay more and stay at another hotel if I’m honest ! You get what you pay for here ….

Nice hotel. Fairly basic and standard rooms but does the job very well. Great location next to the docks. Room had hair dryer, kettle, ironing board etc. Iron available from reception for I think £10. Parking was £10 a day which isn’t bad. Drinks in the hotel were a good price with plenty of selection. Couple of negatives- there is building work next door which starts fairly early and our room was facing it; however it’s not overly loud. Other slight negative was the card reader on the lift didn’t always work and took a few attempts.

Superb stay. Great location and felt safe. Check in was quick, would've liked a response to my email asking about parking details but sorted. £10 for 24 hours and first come first served spaces. £1 per hour after 12 noon check out also was good. Such a positive checking out at 12! All staff provided top customer service and deserve a bonus! Room 229 was minimalist but clean, warm, quiet and the bed was one of the comfiest I've had! We had a great sleep. Bathroom was nice and a good shower. Bar does the job and the food was also good value although didn't eat. A good value break and hope to return.

Nothing exceptional but very clean, nice rooms, furniture felt a little cramped in. Service by the staff was great, they were friendly and helpful. Great location right by the waterfront airh several bars within a few minutes walk. Didn't park but could see the carpark was busy both days. Would stay again for an overnighter. I've seen other reviews complaining of noise, didn't have that problem at all and the hotel was very busy!

  • 5/5 James S. 6 months ago on Google
The room was decent. The bathroom was nice, bed okay, pillows were very hard!! Staff were great and the breakfasts lovely. It was very busy each morning so you have to be prepared to share a table with someone.

Nice hotel in a great location. The room we was in was a bit on the small side but very clean on arrival. Breakfast was very good and the staff were amazing even being able to lend us a screw driver for a few minutes upon departure. I would recommend staying 100%

The Christmas lights couldn't hide the need for a bit of a refurbishment here. Rooms were grubby, just old age and no investment for a while. Car park also a bit of rip off at £10 for the night. Barriers were actually broken on entry and exit so could have got away with not paying!!!! Why do hotels with car parks still keep charging people, unfortunately service on the desk on check out wasn't great as team member couldn't even be bothered to come off his phone. Won't be staying again.

  • 3/5 Deirdre R. 5 months ago on Google
Rooms were nice and cosy. Air conditioning and heating easy to use. Staff unfortunately weren't very friendly. They ordered a taxi for us which never came. Enquired at reception and was told they couldn't do anything!!!

  • 4/5 Pauline B. 5 months ago on Google
Staff generally helpful. Gluten free cornflakes not put out until after I asked. Some staff found me difficult to understand! Left luggage space was inadequate & not secure for our guests needs. No warm container for hash browns at breakfast. No mushrooms. No options for any egg except scrambled. Porridge pots but unsure how to heat them up. Clean cups seemed to taste of coffee! Did ok but can make some improvements to be better. Simple changes. Bathroom pods a good size. Water pressure good. Rooms a good size. Connecting door not soundproof when used as a separate booking. Tv options could be better. Car parking a good price. Location good but busy road to ACC. Pedestrian crossing nearby. Large car park.

Near the city centre off the docks and is in a great location - everything you will need is within walking distance. Everyone is super nice and very helpful. Highly recommended and has a nice small bar in the first floor.

Nice hotel in a great location. Breakfast was great! In terms of the room, it is what you'd expect of a budget hotel but still nice enough for a short stay. Quite noisy at night and you can hear lots of banging in the corridors but I would still stay here again.

  • 4/5 Jackie A. 5 months ago on Google
Brilliant one night stay. Good selection for breakfast. Clean and great location for the docks

  • 3/5 Rebecca s. 6 months ago on Google
Very small 'cosy' twin room - sharing with a friend for a weekend away. The reason why you book a twin is because you want separate beds and dont want to sleep together. These were positioned together and because of the fixed bedside ledges either side we couldnt move them apart - except for a few inches at the foot end. We may as well been sleeping together in a double! Room seemed a bit faded, decor and furnishings old fashioned and not spacious - just enough space to walk either side of the beds and along foot of beds to bathroom. Now that was great! Seemed to have been refurbed more recently than the room. Really good shower and plenty of room in there. Didnt bother with breakfast but had good friendly service at the desk for checking in and out.

Hotel was in an ideal location. Across from the hotel was the Albert Docks, a short walk into Liverpool one where you can find every shop and restaurant there, you can also find a cinema which is really good too.

Stayed here with my partner for 1 night room was reasonably priced and very clean really enjoyed our stay had Wi-Fi available for us which was great and also was impressed with breakfast in the morning all in all a great place for a short or long stay.

We only stayed for 1 night as we were only staying here as we were seeing olly murs in the m&s bank arena. This was one of the cheapest hotels at the time of booking our stay. But everything went smoothly except for one of room keys not working but the staff quickly fixed our key.

Great location near Albert docks and Liver building. Good room, nice and clean. Rather warm, thanks to contrary British weather. Friendly staff. Really excellent breakfast. Reasonably priced room.

  • 4/5 Shane 7 months ago on Google
This hotel is pretty well located as it’s not far from the city centre in the Liverpool. The check-in process is pretty straightforward. The staff are just okay, where are pretty basic standard hospitality. The room is pretty clean and basic and you get what you paid for. I’d say it’s a good pitstop for you to rest if you’re driving from up north to London. The parking lot is not free and it is £10 per night which is quite a bummer.

Very sparce if wanting a drink was like sitting in a kitchen canteen no where to relax. Staff very friendly an helpful. One member of staff had terrible BO and you could smell it in the so called bar area. Great shower comfy beds

Great location opposite a main entrance to the Albert Dock. Good security measures. More than adequate breakfast.

  • 4/5 Angie C. 2 years ago on Google
Lovely friendly, very clean hotel. Very warm welcome. Room slightly on the small side but with a large bathroom. The bed and pillows were far too hard for our liking and am glad we only had to sleep on them for two nights but of course that is just our personal opinion and no fault of the hotel. We didn't book breakfast as we had other plans but it smelt delicious as we walked through.

Didn't feel a very welcoming vibe when I checked in this evening, staff looked disengaged/disinterested with the hotel (I do understand it being the evening but a warm welcome would of been pleasant. Staff who booked me in did not have good CS either (also disinterested and quite blunt what I saw as rude) I also was told that when I booked a double room (what was done 2 months in advance) that the room would be perfect for a family (parents and a sole child). When me.and my partner and son went to the room there was absolutely no chance of getting a travel cot in. Was a little bit deflated by this, however the staff member who booked me in was happy to change to a better room (if I new how small the first room was I would of upgraded, but this was a nice gesture). I have booked with other hotels before and the standard room has been ample for families, will keep this in mind for ibis hotels from now on. I will say, that the security guard was absolutely lovely and was very friendly and helped with opening the doors (the cards to get into our room and the door to get into where the rooms are do not work very well/take a few minutes to get the doors open). Complements to this chap for warming the place up. I will be updating this as my stay goes. Update: Most of the staff were lovely and said hello. Didn't have any other problems to be honest. Kicked this up to 3 stars :)

Excellent location for staying in Liverpool. Clean, compact rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly staff at reception desk. Parking available at £10 a day. Self service breakfast with plenty of choice but need to be there early as limited seating available. Only negative was that the keys to our 3 rooms failed several times during our 2 night stay. Would highly recommend

  • 2/5 Sandra 2 years ago on Google
It was okay for a night. Stayed in a twin room, shelves and and hanging space next to bed were way too close. The room was big enough to configure the furniture much better. Staff could have been more friendly. They were there and did their job but not too many pleasantries.

  • 5/5 Blair R. 2 years ago on Google
With an Ibis, you know what you're getting. Clean & consistent rooms with a nice simple en-suite. Staff were friendly & welcoming. Breakfast was generous and the outside seating was great for the few sunny days that we had.

  • 3/5 Jody t. 2 years ago on Google
The bed was so uncomfortable you woke up every morning with a bad back from the bed. Rooms was very dusty sheets on bed wasn't clean breakfast wasn't the best. We spent our 3 nights listening to a load of 18 year old at 5 in the morning screaming and shouting nothing done about it and smoking weed in the hotel. Bar prices don't add up all ways different princes yet always had same drink. Only good think was the shower hot water and a good pressure rooms very dated and small

  • 4/5 Paul F. 2 years ago on Google
Really friendly and welcoming. Rooms were clean and well presented. Nice bar downstairs with a large screen for sports. Bar prices reasonable. Short walking distance to Albert Docks, the Arena, Liverpool 1 and the city centre (approx 5 minutes) secure car park with a reasonable price plus allow ypu stay beyond the check out time at a rate of £1 per hour. Breakfast was included in our booking price with a good selection of full Rnglish, continental, serials and juices. They charge £10 per person if not included in booking price which again is reasonable. Staff pleasant and helpful

  • 2/5 Chris F. 2 years ago on Google
Decent but dated. Woodchip wallpaper, small rooms with old amenities. No HDMI port on TV which was too small to see from the bed. Good for a cheap no thrills option but I know there are plenty of nearby hotels at similar prices offering better quality. 2 stars is for staff friendliness and assistance, and the bar/breakfast restaurant is decent.

  • 4/5 Matthew M. 1 year ago on Google
Looking for a cheap hotel for the odd night? This is brilliant! Want a place to stay for a holiday? Maybe go somewhere else... Location wise, this is perfect. Right on the docks with cheap barrier parking at the hotel and a very short walk from the bus station and train station. The rooms however are small and mediocre. Uncomfortable bed and the breakfast is expensive for what you get. Couldn't really fault the staff as they was all friendly.

  • 5/5 Lee A. 2 years ago on Google
Really good stay. Clean room, basic but had all we needed but with a great view of the Docks. Breakfast was amazing, great quality

  • 2/5 Melanie O. 2 years ago on Google
Ibis is a budget hotel but a little too budget for me. The location was good. Parking £10 per day I found local parking 5 mins away in Chinatown for £6. No heating in bathroom in December made it unuseable. To be fair I didn't complain. Breakfast very disappointing and no gluten free Options despite being requested. Breakfast not worth the price. As a member I found booking directly with them complex.

  • 1/5 World Speech Day N. 2 years ago on Google
Asked for 2 single beds and they have them fixed basically together defeating the point of asking for single beds. They charged me £10 to keep my car in the car park, then £1 extra for every hour after check out. If they incorporated this cost into the original price of room it would make more sense. Found it very cheeky. Won’t be going back. On leaving, Barrier didn’t work and had to repeatedly call reception who were acting as if we hadn’t paid. All found it a bit amateur.

  • 3/5 Deepa R. 2 years ago on Google
The location is great, everything walking distance plus a tesco express literally 30secs walk from hotel. Only thing negative was the bed and pillows were so uncomfortable and hard, if we go back will take own pillows as softer haha.

  • 3/5 Ann P. 2 years ago on Google
Great place to have a base for a couple of days. Only used for sleeping, and great blackout curtains. Bathrooms are pods, so watch out for the step up in, then the step down coming out.

  • 5/5 Paul M. 1 year ago on Google
Great welcome to the hotel by a member of the team called Irene (I think). Very helpful and explained everything clearly. Everywhere very clean which included my room. I only stayed a night but everything was there if I was staying longer. A decent selection of drinks at the bar and nice to have seating outside as well. I didn't eat at the hotel except for breakfast and there were plenty of options. I'd stay again.

  • 2/5 Amanda J. 1 year ago on Google
Very clean throughout but definitely not comfortable and a bit basic in places . Pillows hard and lumpy. Mattress very unforgiving and caused backache. Bathroom pods are super though and the breakfast was impressive. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Wouldn't stay in another Ibis due to comfort issues and the quality of room for the price ie almost £150 a night excluding breakfast at time of stay.

  • 5/5 Kevin H. 1 year ago on Google
Enjoyed our stay in Ibis, great location, nice clean rooms. Decent breakfast and very friendly and accommodating staff. Especially Zeel who kept me company on the pool table after my mother had gone to bed. Even though he was out of work hours, he represented the hotel very well and was extremely welcoming. Will definitely return to stay here when I return to Liverpool !

  • 5/5 Leanna R. 1 year ago on Google
Brilliant hotel would definitely recommend its right across the Albert Dock easy access in and out of car park which is barrier and ticket system was £10 per night parking (July 2022) check out midday which is brill if you obviously have late night out.. rooms comfortable card access only into room corridors. Hairdryer in rooms and TV.. plus tea n coffee facility.. staff friendly and attentive would 100% stop here again

  • 4/5 Anthony F. 1 year ago on Google
It's the location that makes this place. It's right over the road from Albert Dock and the waterfront, 5 minute walk from the city centre shopping and nightlife. If you can, get a room overlooking the docks. The rooms are pretty basic and I found the bed really uncomfortable, it was rock hard, but for the price you can't knock it. It has plenty of parking and only costs £10 per day.

  • 4/5 Fay C. 1 year ago on Google
Room small but clean and tidy. Bathroom door very hard to open. Shower nice and hot. Staff lovely, very approachable and friendly. Great location for the docks, arena and city centre etc. Hood price for rooms. Would definitely stay again

  • 4/5 Leo J. 1 year ago on Google
Didn't give it five stars because it's a budget hotel and perhaps create wrong impression, but it's a good hotel for the price and especially the location. Rooms are not large but adequate; staff is very helpful. Street noise is almost non-existent. I didn't have any problems checking in or in-room.

  • 5/5 J P. 1 year ago on Google
Friendly staff, warm welcoming reception area. Rooms clean, tidy and comfortable. Very fresh and smells fresh. Breakfast was really good, close to Liverpool One and all attractions, short walk from James St/Central stations

This hotel is perfect if you're looking for something simple, clean and great location. There's no frills with this hotel but it is great if you're onna budget. The room was perfectly clean, the staff were friendly enough, there's a bar and parking available. The location is everything, being directly opposite the Albert Docks for this price is amazing.
