Well, where do we start! Upon checking in, requested an iron and was given a code... cutting a very long story short, it's an ironing room that didn't have any power to it. I had to sit in the room waiting for the power to come back on wasting valuable time. I'd asked for an iron in my room but non where available. Bizarre as every hotel I go to (which is a lot) offer an iron! Literally felt that I wasn't given any help with this. Next.... one of the lifts were broken down. Being at the back of the hotel, you can hear clear as day the tannoy from Lime Street train station. It seemed like every door slammed making you wake at 6am... The key card doesn't give you access to your room if you put it in your phone case card holder. Something nobody mentioned leaving us very frustrated and again, loosing valuable time. Never have I had this problem before.

The hotel looks good and clean with beautiful servants. The quality of food was great but I was very disappointed for the quantity of food i have been served. It was so little that it couldn't fill up a new born baby stomach. I was starving after spending 14 hours on my feet working and all I wanted, was a big plate of rice with chicken but that was not meant to be at that hotel on that particular day. I am just to generous for giving 3 stars at that hotel.

Lovely hotel. Clean rooms, friendly staff and great location if you use trains as next to Liverpool Lime St Station. Comfy beds and crisp linen. Would recommend if you want a central stay in Liverpool but dont want to break the bank! Would definitely stay again.

Lovely stay in this delightful hotel. Sue, on the front desk, was amazing! She went above and beyond to help us when we arrived earlier than check-in. I said I was aware we could not check in yet but would she mind if my daughter simply used their toilet facilities to change into her graduation dress. Although Sue agreed to my request, it quickly became obvious that she wanted to help even more. I had booked three double rooms and she arranged for my daughter to have immediate access to her room, i.e., much earlier than anticipated, so that she could change and prepare for her Graduation Day in comfort and style. What a tremendous difference your kind gesture made to our day. Thank you Sue! The rooms were perfect and the breakfast was tasty. Couldn’t really have wished for more and I loved the cruise ship feel of the place. Highly recommended.

Excellent hotel. Our first visit to Liverpool and we had a wonderful 2 night stay. Very clean, and staff REALLY helpful . Rooms are very comfortable, with tea and coffee making. Showers nice and hot. Wouldn't bother with the Seafarer Bar though, directly adjacent and next door to the hotel. Absolutely terrible. Considering we are finally coming out of lockdown, the hospitality was awful. At 10.30pm tonight, last orders were called. At 10.35pm, the shutters were brought down, and at 10.55pm, the staff switched off the TV and music, switched off the lights and left us there literally sitting in the dark. I joked, tongue in cheek, "we'll lock up before we go", they laughed and walked out, leaving us there in the dark. Boycott it, get yourself some refreshments, and have in your room.

Dont let the exterior of this hotel put you off. This is a beautiful and unique hotel. The main balloon makes you think you are on an actual liner. Very friendly and attentive staff. Extremely clean and well ventilated. Food was excellent. My only complaint would be there wasn't adequate spot lighting on the stage area.

Really good location as next to train station so no need to take the car. Very central to everything. The service there was great and the reception team did a great job. The room was well presented and was roomy enough, only thing that let it down was the shower was not the best. The breakfast was average for the price (£20) and not a great selection, would have been better to go out for it, I can see why it was a little empty for breakfast. The Seven seas restaurant was very good and really enjoyed the food and service in there. The castaway bar was also good and the bar staff really friendly and helpful.

16 of us came and stayed here from Leeds celebrating a 60th birthday, Some of our rooms wasn’t ready but Graham the manager gave us some free drinks as compensation. The staff were really good, rooms were clean, breakfast was nice too. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you

Very clean room and a very comfy bed, best nights sleep I've had in a hotel in a long while. The family room is great as our girls had their own room next to ours instead of a shared family room, which we've usually had at other hotels. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very helpful and polite. It's a really nice stay.

Amazing design of this hotel resembling a cruise ship, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and very helpful. The food was amazing at the buffet we attended. Rooms were clean with drink facilities and also had a fridge which was very helpful whilst chilling the wine !

This is a great hotel. Room good. Nice restaurant with good food in the evening. The only thing that let's this hotel down was their breakfast. I would recommend booking but room only. Great location for all the attractions in Liverpool

My second time staying here whilst performing at the Liverpool jazz festival. Put it this way, this place is so good that I could live here. Amazing staff, great clean rooms, and great breakfast. Oh I forgot about the bar (even though I don’t drink), great vibe too. Here’s another 5 stars from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great central location to liverpool lime street and city centre. Staff 100% helpful nothing at all was too much trouble. The restaurant dished out first class food in taste and presentation, way to go chef's. Breakfast was again well presented and 100%. All staff in restaurant and at breakfast were again well presented and very pleasant. My wife and I love this hotel and will be staying again in the not too distant future, as a matter of fact it will be the only hotel we be staying in in all our future visits to this wonderful city. Rooms very clean and comfortable, I have said rooms as we have stayed before in a deluxe double, and this time in the deluxe double suite, and the cleanest of both rooms was no different in the high standard set

Stayed for a couple of nights midweek. The receptionist gave us a lovely warm welcome, room was clean and tidy and very spacious. A great set up, shaped like a sip and with a nautical theme throughput. The highlight was a visit from the local seagulls that sat on the windowsill, tapping on the window. Absolutely amazing, I would definitely come here again

Had a great trip, chose this hotel because of its location which was perfect for us. The only downside was that there was no food available after 10pm which as late arrivals was a shame as we would have expected a room service option but it didn't spoil what was overall a fabulous trip and the service was great. Surprisingly good prices at the bar too which was a bonus. Definitely would go again.

Lovely centrally located hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Goid selection of breakfast at a great price. Clean and comfortable rooms. The only issue was the radiator banging repeatedly throughout the night. Sounded ss if the radiator needed bleeding due to an air lock.

Brilliant location, right next to Lime St Station. Staff incredibly lovely and helpful. Room was great for a 5 night stay. Just a couple of niggles - our bedside lights were only working intermittently and, despite reporting this on our first night, nothing was done. Also, our window wouldn't shut fully - reported, but, again, nothing was done. Would definitely stay again, despite these little things.

Very good hotel which is themed like an ocean liner. The room was really good and the staff were excellent. They were very helpful and welcoming. This is my second stay at the hotel and I will be staying here whenever I visit Liverpool. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great hotel, staff super helpful and friendly, first class customer service. Only disappointment was we was at a private event and the barman tried over charging me £10 for the same round of drinks. I told him to check the price and the manager said he will honor the price we already paid earlier. No explanation for £10 over charge or an apology and tried telling me the barman didn't make a mistake 🤔

Remember to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking any place. They compare thousands of hotel sites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the most well known in this area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you definitely will love it I'm sure! Amazing design of this hotel resembling a cruise ship, the staff were very friendly and welcoming and very helpful. The food was amazing at the buffet we attended. Rooms were clean with drink facilities and also had a fridge which was very helpful whilst chilling the wine !

Excellent hotel and lovely restaurant. Breakfast and evening meals were fabulous and lovely and hot. Service from staff in the restaurant first class. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, and we had to sit for over an hour, but we're given complimentary drinks in the bar as we waited. Only 1 lift working, and they are small, at our visit, which was annoying. Would stay there again.

Cheap hotel rooms are basic but everything is there bed, toilet, shower basic tea coffee facilities in room but the hotel is ideally situated in the heart of the city next to Lime Street Station .Free allocated parking alongside the hotel and disabled parking out front . We stocked bar friendly staff plus a restaurant for eve meals, and breakfast.

Only one lift (it held 4 to 5 persons) was working in a six storey hotel. This proved very slow as the hotel was full. Breakfast was excellent, but the breakfast room was very crowded and very noisy. Exiting in the event of a fire would have been chaotic.

  • 1/5 Ronda R. 6 months ago on Google
We stayed there in Sept. The room was average (nothing special) but nice and clean. Only one elevator was working so long waits. Poor customer service. We asked for an ice bucket and they told us to go to the bar to get. The bar was closed till 4pm. Shouldn't front desk have known this? We went back to the bar at 4pm and they said they didn't have any due to hotel meetings going on. EVEN WORSE the cleaning staff are not trained properly. The hotel housekeeping touched and moved our toothbrushes!!! I had all our toiletries together off to one side. I am very particular to having our stuff organized. I complained to the hotel manager and he spoke with the maid and she said she just touched the handles. Can you believe this??? How do we know if she didn't drop them on the floor or in the toilet! The manager apologized and said next time we stay there they will instruct housekeeping not to touch our stuff. Really buddy? You should be fired.

Room stinks of stale smoke, bed springs have gone. Broken floor in the bathroom and dubious as to the cleanliness. Location is great and the staff are lovely but they need to spend a little on making the bed at least something you can sleep in.

Very convenient location just minutes from Liverpool Lime Street, Liverpool Christmas Market and the city center. Friendly and welcoming staff on reception and in the restaurant. The two lifts were slow, and while the breakfast did taste nice, it was small and wasn’t worth the £8. Room was decent size, warm, clean and the bed was comfy. Shower was easy to use, and a good temperature. Enjoyed the two slides of cake available to go with a cup of tea. Only downside for the room was the radiator (or something else) that was making cloud clicking noises all night, making it really hard to sleep. This may well just be a fault of this one room which is why I’ve still rated the hotel positively, but I did need to get some sleep on the train back to London.

I've stayed at the hotel twice, it's perfect for visiting liverpool. Its next door to the station, all the shops and nightlife are just across the road. They have secure parking which is a bonus. The rooms are lovely, and the restaurants are brilliant. Food is beautiful, especially breakfast. All the staff are lovely, they go the extra mile nothing is too much trouble to them. I can highly recommend this hotel. Looking forward to visiting again in march.

Had our Christmas party there, all inclusive. Food was lovely very nice room and great entertainment. Only down side was only being allowed one drink at a time at the bar so led to continuous queues.

We had our wedding at The Liner, and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. The staff were brilliantly helpful and patient (even through a postponement due to COVID-19) throughout all communications. The accommodation in the penthouse suite is fantastic, and made getting ready a pure joy. They were able to accommodate the needs of all our guests to ensure everyone was well looked-after. The hotel staff did an incredible job bringing everything together, and we can't thank them enough. Would definitely recommend this brilliant venue to anybody looking to host an event.

Room wasn't ready on arrival. But when was it was clean and tidy. Window in room was broken, tv has screen burn. Fridge in room not working properly. Restaurant and hotel bar was closed. Breakfast was in Atlantic suite buffet style with guest sitting almost on top of each other. Hotel is suffering due to lack of staff having let some go due to covid.

Really enjoyed my recent stay at the Liner. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Excellent breakfast with generous helpings. Comfy beds and fluffy towels. Handy location for Lime Street Station and city attractions. Will definitely stay there again!

Great stay at The Liner Hotel - reception and breakfast staff very welcoming and attentive. Our rooms were great too, although one was very warm - but fans are provided. Very handy for Lime Street and the city centre, and a ~20 minute walk to the docks. Free parking is good too. Would happily return here again.

Nice slightly old fashioned hotel next Lime At. The staff are really helpful. Had to ask to change rooms as air conditioning from kitchen made a really loud noise in my first room. No problems with moving me to a much nicer room.

We had our wedding reception at The Liner Hotel on Saturday 7th August and it was amazing from start to finish! The staff were all fantastic, I've had family and friends comment on how friendly and welcoming they all were to us, even joining in dancing at the evening party! In particular, Daniel the events manager, couldn't do enough for us and he made the day run so smoothly. From emails to meetings to even checking on me before I left for the ceremony, he was so attentive and always there to help out wherever possible! Booking the Liner for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made planning our day, the building is beautiful including the rooms and we all had an amazing time and stay! Honestly we couldn't fault anything, thank you for making our wedding day so special!

Rustic atmosphere. Feels like you're in the 30s. Facilities are up to standard. Could do we bedside power sockets and with complementary iron and ironing board. Also no air con or temp control console in the room. Overall a decent place to stay if you're not fussed about the lack of certain amenities hence the 4 star rating.

  • 4/5 Carole O. 2 years ago on Google
We were Very impressed with the room. It was plenty big enough and spotlessly clean. The room was very hot though and while there is no air conditioner there was a large floor standing fan which did cool the room adequately. A lack of extraction in the bathroom meant that not only did the mirrors steam up it was also very stuffy. The fact that the dining room was only open for breakfast was a bit disappointing also as the hotel was quite busy. But for the last 2 reasons I would have rated the hotel higher

Booked The Liner Hotel with a friend as they have a pre-theatre menu. The Hotel couldn't be in a better place for a meal before going to The Empire. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, staff very friendly and efficient. We had the 3 course meal for £19:95 and it was lovely. There was a nice atmosphere in the restaurant and it was busy so I imagine booking is essential. Would highly recommend and will certainly visit again.

Brilliant New Years stay over from start to finish.. Comfortable Room and Bed, along with a fabulous New Years Eve Meal, and Canopes to start with and Wine.. The Entertainment was good too, being a Jersey Boys Tribute with lots of Frankie Valli and other 60,s hits. Every time I have stayed at the Liner, I have been more than satisfied, and this occasion was no different. The location of the Hotel and Theatre are just 5 minutes away from the rear Exit of the Train Station. Well Worth a Stay over.

  • 2/5 keith h. 2 years ago on Google
The room we had had the noisiest of heating/water pipes that banged all night, we might as well of slept on the floor as the bed was solid and then at the early hours of the morning we could hear every announcement from lime street station, why wouldn’t the have noise cancelling windows? We went to speak to reception on our way out but the guy on reception was on the phone and there was queue of people so thought it’s best to give feedback later that day because with the little amount of sleep we had, it’ll only lead to an angry altercation. We emailed the liner on several times but they didn’t have the decency to email back at all. We then went through the booking agency Hotels.com, for them to just ignore them as well which I thought was very disrespectful as well. So all I’d suggest is even though the location is pretty good (that’s why I gave 2 stars instead of one), find a better hotel, one with decent rooms and respect for their customers

A nice location for where I needed to stay in Liverpool; for a bit of a pub crawl in the Irish pubs. Helpful and friendly staff, on check in and checking out. Very comfy bed and the room was in excellent condition. The only problem was the seagulls on the Lime Street station roof. Plus the tannoy was annoying from the station to but nothing a set of ear plugs wouldn't fix.

Brilliant Hotel and excellent staff 👌 My partner and I had our wedding here in August 2022 The staff were amazing from start to finish 👏 , big shout out to Dan & Ellen to make sure everything went smoothly on the big day. Food was excellent and lots of choice. even for people with good allergies Rooms were very modern and tidy, only down side I would say about the rooms is the heat - very hot 🔥 However we had two tonight's in the bridal suite which is fully air-conditioning , definitely helped keeping the temperature down . Overall great hotel great staff would definitely recommend

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a resort. They compare hundreds of booking web sites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! Delicious cocktails and helpful staff.

Great value and rooms are decent enough. Don't stay in the heated days of Summer- Extremely uncomfortable to Sleep.... hottest rooms I've ever stayed in. They give you a fan but its like sleeping next to helicopter. We just manage our dates for our stay but other than that it's worth staying.

Visited on a Saturday as we watched a show at Liverpool empire so location fantastic. Had lunch at the liner really good, service brilliant. Breakfast was fine. Rooms clean and fresh but the mattress on the beds abysmal unfortunately, really need replacing with quality ones. I actually felt like I was on a ship every time I turned over!!

Stayed here in the week with my family. What a friendly and warm welcome we received. Amazingly clean and very good location to central Liverpool. The only thing to let the hotel down is the breakfast but even then the staff was once again friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come back.

Great hotel in convenient location next to Lime Street station. Staff were friendly and welcoming providing great customer service. Room was lovely with good storage and was spotlessly clean. Free car parking next door and the attendant was helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay again.

Great place to stay. Only grump I had was, although they supplied a large fan, it was very hot in the room. No extractor in the bathroom and no air con. I do like this hotel though.

Very clean hotel, staff were brilliant and professional. If you like dark wood doors and furniture this is the place for you. For me although very clean, it's a little tired and could do with being modernised and new fixtures and fittings. They should be able to afford it for the prices they charge.
