Excellent hotel. Friendly staff, clean and perfect location!! Easily walking distance to everything. Yes the rooms are small but just perfect for us. We were out exploring most of the time, so no need for a massive room! Beds were comfortable and great pillows. Would return! They even give you a welcome card, which is a nice and rare touch!

The staff at the resident were extremely helpful from the booking process all the way through to checkout. I stayed here for my hen night and had the best experience. The location is perfect with L1 and bold street at your fingertips. The hotel is modern, clean and maintained really well. Above all the staff were very friendly and helpful. We got a early check-in and late check-out without requesting it which was very much appreciated. The staff were very accommodating bringing extra towels, ice buckets and water when needed. I live in Liverpool but if I ever have a reason to stay in a hotel in the city again I would definitely choose the resident. I will definitely recommend it the family and friends. One staff member in particular was very helpful I think his name was Andy/Andrew.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room has all the amenities you could need and more. You also have a beautiful view from the window of the skyline. You get great location without compromising on sleep because of such good sound proofing. Overall, great hotel, amazing staff, perfect stay! I am sure I will be returning!

Stayed for 2 nights booking through buy a gift. Location was great and close to lots of different bars and restaurants. We stayed in a small double and found everything to be clean and comfortable. We were given a complementary glass of wine one evening which was a lovely touch. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Overall great experience, would definitely recommend.

What a gem. A really special find! Located in a buzzing area with loads of restaurants some of which you can get a discount as a resident guest. The hotel is so peaceful inside no noise from the street at all. Good size room. Absolutely spotless. Bed really really comfy. The little kitchenette is such a good idea. The staff are fab. So friendly

A fantastic hotel, cannot recommend highly enough. One night stay in Liverpool, we had a suite, very good size. Little kitchen area with coffee maker, kettle, sink, plates and cutlery. Good sized bathroom with Molton Brown shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and hand cream, felt very luxurious. The staff we all very pleasant and helpful. You are in a perfect location for Liverpool one or two go for a drink or meal at night. We will be going back again, can't wait.

We had a very enjoyable stay here. The staff were welcoming, helpful and smiley, the junior suite room we booked was perfect for our family. A large bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and sink in a room on the side as you walk in, followed by a wardrobe sized cupboard hiding kitchen facilities (tea/coffee making facilities, microwave, fridge, cutlery, crockery and sink), then the main room. Downstairs set up was two singles for our kids with their own TV (no kids channels so much to their disappointment, although not to ours!!, they didn't get to watch it!), Then up the stairs to a mezzanine level above the bathroom/kitchen area was our king-sized bed, TV, desk and chair and wardrobe. Very comfortable stay with great sound proofing from outside city noises, secure access to the hotel, parking ÂŁ13.60 for 24hrs (without leaving) a small walk away and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. A small amount of noise from other rooms and corridor, but not disturbing. Highly recommend staying here and I'm sure we'll be back.

Great hotel. I had emailed the hotel a couple of times prior to our stay with some questions and they kindly replied within an hour or two with helpful advice. They were able to recommend a great long distance taxi service which was very much appreciated. The staff was kind and helpful during our stay. They gave restaurant recommendations and tips for public transport. The room itself was nice and clean. The hotel is in a great location just minutes away from shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend staying at The Resident.

Staff are wonderful and welcoming. Very trendy, modern, clean and maybe the most comfortable hotel bed I've stayed in. The rooms I've stayed in have a small kitchen facility (microwave, plates, Nespresso machine, fridge, sink) perfect if you want to make something small for yourself on your stay. Also extremely affordable for the quality of the hotel and in a great area for central access to the city and dockside. I made the mistake of staying somewhere else this week, will not make that mistake again. Looking forward to returning again soon.

After doing some research on where to stay in Liverpool, we ended up booking 4 nights at The Resident. Fantastic location, close to everything. It was close to the nightlife, however, we couldn't hear anything from outside. I suppose it depends on which room you get, but we asked them if they could place us in a room that would be less susceptible to outside noise and they were happy to accommodate. The room itself is very basic. They provide a small kitchenette with a microwave and sink. They also have a nespresso machine. We had a bit of a sanitary issue when we got our room. They were quick to address and offered us an upgrade and complimentary sparkling wine. Every weeknight they have a happy hour from 6-7pm. They offer wine/sparking wine/beer and snacks. The staff are excellent and friendly. Would recommend and would definitely be back.

Clean, centrally located, and extremely reasonably priced. No noise despite being in the centre of the nightlife area. No complaints at all for the resident. We’ve stayed twice already and will probably return next time we’re in Liverpool. To get discounted parking you now have to prebook online - this caught me out as previously you used to get a slip of paper that knocked 20% off.

Enjoyed a fantastic wedding in Liverpool this weekend and the Resident was a perfect base. Everything from check in onwards was great. Very clean room and bathroom with a really good shower. Very central and close to nightlife without being affected by any noise. The staff were very helpful. Only very small gripe would that it is poorly sign posted if you don’t know where you are going.

  • 5/5 Debra B. 9 months ago on Google
Absolutely perfect. This hotel was more than we expected. The staff have been helpful before we arrived but each and everyone of them who we met yesterday and today couldn't of done anymore for us. Our room was spotlessly clean, I work in the hospitality trade and checking is one of my jobs, I couldn't find anything. We felt very safe knowing you could only gain access using your key card. Love the coffee machine and Molton Brown products. As soon as we walked into the entrance we knew the hotel was good. Very nice touch with the hand written card. Can't thank you enough.

Great Location. Large clean comfortable rooms. Good price and friendly staff. We walked to the waterfront which was nice for the museums. Most of the "top" Liverpool sights were walkable. And we found some good shopping dining and drinking very close to the hotel.

  • 4/5 Ayman H. 10 months ago on Google
Excellent location with amazing sound-proofing from the surrounding places. The staff are super friendly and the rooms are a decent size. Some of the drawbacks: - Grout chipping off in the bathrooms, which are a bit outdated (outside of the excellent Molton Brown products) - Noisy air-conditioning that woke us up during the might with clicking noises - Uncomfortable, mismatched pillows. Would stay here again, but I'd also probably look at other places depending on the price.

Very nice hotel. Large rooms. Good service. No bar, but will sell you a drink from the reception. Enough breakfast options in the neighborhood. Would stay again.

Perfect location, we stayed in the junior suite- myself, my wife and 2 sons (19 &12). We had the top floor and the boys had the bottom. Very spacious would highly recommend

I've been to Liverpool on numerous occasions, and this is the best hotel we've stayed in. It's not got the best view, though. Rooms are large, with a large en suite. Found the small kitchenette excellent, could do with a toaster, but I can understand it would cause the smoke alarm to activate. I've never seen a hotel room with as many electrical sockets. Staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. The bed isn't the most comfortable, but nothing is as good as your own bed. Would I stay again, yes.

  • 5/5 Michael D. 10 months ago on Google
Stayed on a Monday and Tuesday night and we had a great stay. The junior suite was the perfect space, offering a lounge area to relax which is seperate and distinct from the bedroom area - definitely recommended for a great price! The room and windows were well soundproofed though given there are a lot of bars in the area, can't vouch personally on how this would fare on busy weekend nights. Staff were very friendly and professional and the entire venue felt clean, tidy, well maintained and secure. Will be back for another stay!

Lovely hotel. Really nice rooms with very comfortable beds and good quality linen. Loved the little kitchenette too. Great for making drinks and breakfast. Fantastic location. Best of all were the front of house staff. What a professional team. So helpful. Cheerful. Always ready to advise or help. I highly recommend the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Stayed at the Resident for work. Lovely staff and great location for restaurants, cafes, bars etc. Bed was comfortable and I slept well. Room had a little kitchenette which was really handy. Shower pressure was high and good toiletries. Only downside is check-out is 11am. Will be staying again if I'm in town. And a personalised card when I arrived too... Nice little touch.

Encountered an extremely rude and petty staff member at the reception at our one day stay at this hotel. There was no verbal mention of an 11 am checkout and we were treated horribly for misunderstanding the checkout time despite leaving the room in under 10 minutes of receiving a phone call from the reception. He even timed us, accused us of mistreating housekeeping staff when we hadn’t exchanged a word with anyone and then charged a late checkout fee out of spite. We did nothing to be treated with such animosity and aggression.

Great hotel. Clean, modern, lovely staff. Great Central location, with parking close by. Rooms well equipped, with coffee machine, microwave, and kitchen sink. No breakfast here but we popped to Wetherspoons within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our short stay at The Resident recently. It's a beautiful place and our room had everything we needed and much more. It was excellent value for money and the location was perfect. We received a warm welcome and we would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the city centre. Thanks!

Great location close to the restaurants and party area but on a pretty quiet lane itself. Standard room is good size for two people and the kitchenette is very handy to warm up takeaways or to make a coffee. Very friendly staffs too and a cosy lounge area on the ground floor.

This hotel is in a very central location, easy to reach from Liverpool Lime Street station (~ 10 minute walk), and ideal to visit the main attractions of the city. 1-2 minutes from a big Tesco. My room (double standard) was very welcoming and clean, with modern furniture. It was very quiet, despite the central location. I really enjoyed the kitchenette with small fridge, kettle and coffee machine, and the courtesy coffee pods and tea bags. The bathroom was nice, I loved the citrusy scented soap and body lotion. Staff were very friendly and they welcomed with a lovely handwritten card. Check-in and check-out were very quick. This was the ideal hotel for my 2-night staying, I would choose it again for my next trips to Liverpool. Highly recommended.

My second time at this hotel and very pleased. Great service, clean, comfortable modem rooms. Location is perfect for the Docks, Cathedral shopping and dining. Highly recommend.

  • 4/5 Laura 6 months ago on Google
Centrally located, loads of bars and restaurants immediately around the property. Only a 10 minute walk from Lime Street station, and 10 minutes from Matthew Street. Room was modern and clean, with a fridge, sink and tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom was very nice and a good size. Check in was quick and easy and staff were friendly, and the handwritten card was a lovely touch. We had a small double room, and the bed was extremely small. But it was very comfortable and fine for a couple of nights, just be aware of the size if booking this room. The rest of the room was great. Would stay here again.

  • 5/5 Michel L. 1 year ago on Google
Nicely decorated and modern hotel. Very nice that they give a handwritten card on arrival. The staff are very friendly and give you a feeling of coming home. Nice to see that they have a collaboration with restaurants in the area where you also get a discount when you show your hotel key. I'd love to come back again.

Would definitely stay here again as it was a perfect location. Great staff where nothing was too much trouble. Our room was a good size with a big bathroom and good quality products. Bed was really comfy We were really impressed by the complimentary evening drinks- what a lovely touch… thank you!!

Best hotel in liverpool! Darius and Henry made our stay outstanding beyond our expectations. The Hotel is local to everything you’d want. As soon as we entered the hotel we felt welcomed. Everything was perfect, and couldn’t have asked for more. If you’re looking elsewhere, stop! Stay at The Resident!

We stayed at the Resident Liverpool for two nights during an UK trip and we were very happy with this place. The rooms are on the smaller side, but the addition of the kitchen nook with a fridge and coffee machine was a big plus for us. The room was clean and the bathroom was very nice. The location is very close to a lot of party locations and we did find that you could hear some of the venues at night. The rooms are overall very sound proof but you can’t open the windows. Staff were very nice and attentive. We got a handwritten note on the day of arrival and the recommendation we got for a restaurant was great.

  • 5/5 Steven C. 7 months ago on Google
Picked on basis of so many great reviews and clearly deserved. Fantastic customer service from moment room booked. Great location. Clean and modern. Only fault would be that bed in small double is squashed into wall. But honesty a minor quibble given how amazing staff and building were

  • 4/5 Zakhar S. 8 months ago on Google
First time in Liverpool, the hotel was nice. We had a pushchair which wasn’t convenient to get to our room due to the mini stairs before the room. The bathroom could have been cleaner, saw hair inside the drains which was off putting. I called the front desk around 11PM no answer, no return of call. The hotel is well located, friendly staff at front desk.

I had a very enjoyable stay at the resident. Very comfortable rooms. Staff very helpful and professional. The location is fantastic.. loads of restaurants nearby, 10 mins walk to royal Albert docks and shopping area as well as lime Street station Would highly recommend..

A lovely hotel in a perfect location. From the point of arrival until we left, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Their suggestions for restaurants (Rudy’s Pizza) were excellent and their general willingness to talk and help was great. The rooms were spacious and clean. We had interconnecting rooms and the set up was perfect for giving teens privacy but also being able to check in. The hotel in general was classy and despite the great value rooms it was better in almost every way than some more expensive options. The hotel is roughly 10-15 mins walk from all key Liverpool destinations and a great place to stay in such a great city.

  • 5/5 B F. 8 months ago on Google
Booked a family room. The room is split across two levels for the four of us. A very central location where the room backs out onto concert Street. Despite this location, the ground room is very quiet and well equipped. A very clean and modern bathroom and comfortable beds. Good functional, tea and microwave with complimentary crisps and alcoholic drinks from 6pm to 7pm in reception. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and will definitely look at this chain for other UK stays. Great value and a superb hotel.

What a great place to stay! We had a family room with Mezzanine floor, kitchen and bathroom 2x TV everything you need for a base whilst in Liverpool. Reception staff are great. A 5 minute walk from the heart of Liverpool. Can't praise it highly enough. PERFECT

We booked this hotel for a one night stay in Liverpool. I can not recommend this hotel enough. The staff were extremely helpful and approachable. They accommodated our needs 100%. The hotel has excellent security and clean open spaced rooms. For the price we paid I couldn't have asked for more. This hotel goes above and beyond my expectations.

2nd visit here and it's still great. Checked in by Damian today, brilliant service. Central location and rooms are so quiet, went into hallway and room next door had music on full blast, could not hear it in our room at all. Excellent value for money and staff are exceptional, nothing is too much. Highly recommend this place

Clean and comfortable. And surprisingly affordable. The little kitchenette was handy for keeping drinks cold and so I could bring some snacks with me. The area around the hotel is amazing. No shortness of food and drinks. Staff are willing to go above and beyond for you. Even posted a letter and parcel for us. And is about a 10min walk to most of the tourist spots and attractions. Only problem was paying for parking but it's the city centre what else did you expect.

From start to finish the staff on reception were professional, polite and genuinely caring, nothing was to much to ask! The security on the building is top rate, its location which is a blessing because everything is at your fingertips you would think generates a lot of noise, you do not hear a single peep of the hustle and bustle. The rooms feel premium and the showers are amazing! We will definitely stay again!

  • 5/5 Wendy W. 2 years ago on Google
Thank you for a lovely stay. Room was very comfortable, looked good, the wee kitchen was a resounding success, space off the reception was just right and the staff were all helpful, smiling and couldn't have done anymore. All our questions and directions were answered. Jack, you were the STAR that shone brightest. Great advice on places to visit. Thank you all.

Good hotel in the centre of town. Reasonably priced and has everything you need in the room. Was worried about noise because it really is in the busy part of time. But no problems at all. Really helpful front of house team. Couldn’t be more helpful - Sharon even got her brother In law to collect us in his taxi so we wouldn’t be late for the wedding we were going to! ( it was on match day and raining so taxis were hard to come by). Im only not giving it 5 stars because it’s more an apartment hotel - no restaurant or breakfast room. But you are so close to so many great places it’s not a problem but it’s worth pointing out. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent hotel - great location - only 10 minutes or so from all the major attractions in the city. Despite its city centre location it is in a quiet street so you have an undisturbed sleep. Exceptionally clean and all the staff went out of their way to make my stay a wonderful one.

  • 5/5 Luis Huesca M. 1 year ago on Google
Very friendly staff and lovely hotel. The rooms were very clean, spacious and modern. There are also lots of pubs and nightlife places nearby but the noise insulation is quite good, you don't hear a thing of what's happening outside at night.

Stayed for 2 nights on our first trip to Liverpool, excellent hotel, reception and check in was smooth, beautiful architecture. Room was lovely, wonderfully comfortable bed. Bars on the street but noise was mimimal. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit

The staff were very helpful and polite at all times. The room was very clean and tidy and comfortable. However the air conditioning wasn't as I would have liked and the windows didn't open which made the room feel a bit claustrophobic. Because of that I wouldn't choose to stay again.

  • 5/5 Greg C. 2 years ago on Google
Really loved my short stay, so much so that I became a member in the hope to return and to try the London hotels. Staff were excellent room was comfortable with amazing finishes. I just hope my 5 star review doesn't prompt a bump in prices because that's what made it *chefs kiss.

Staff very welcoming it was our 1st stay and we were greeted with a lovely card to say hope we enjoy our stay and our sons graduation. We were in a junior suite, it was lovely very clean, big and had everything we needed. Hotel is on a very busy street with bars and clubs close but did not hear a sound! Overall great hotel, great location and lovely staff. Definitely will stay again.

An amazing hotel with a warm and friendly welcome at reception, surpassed expectations and the facilities were second to none! I'd definitely be back for a longer stay next time. If you're looking for a place to stay while visiting Liverpool, then the Resident Hotel is the place to stay. The welcome, care, kindness and outstanding customer service you receive from every team member are exceptional! All the bedrooms are of a high standard, very clean, warm and fitted with a kitchenette. The hotel is centrally located and within easy walking distance of the Royal Albert Dock, restaurants, shops, cathedrals, art galleries, museums and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. I love the evening drinks in the main reception as it's an excellent opportunity to meet and mingle with the other guests. I've stayed at The Resident for many years and would never stay elsewhere. The hotel is top-rated, so I recommend booking well in advance.

This was our first family trip to Liverpool even took my little one whos 19 months old. We only stayed for one night and the staff's made such warm welcome, friendly and very helpful! Thanks for the card made our stay even more special!! Phenomenal hotel, absolutely recommend - will be back without a doubt! Customer service is exceptional, rooms are stunning and location is right next to all the local nightlife. Very reasonable prices too. Had a minor human error during check-in, we absolutely understood and didn't mind, but for the trouble we were upgraded to a better room for free and got given a complimentary bottle of bubbly too!

Absolutely amazing hotel! The rooms are spotless with a lovely big comfy bed, large tv on the wall, modern bathroom and it even has a little mini kitchen with a fridge in the wardrobe!! The staff are super helpful too, (thank you Megan for keeping our luggage safe and phoning me letting us know our room was ready when we arrived a little early than anticipated). We loved our stay here and can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Liverpool!
