Experience was destroyed at check-in. Passive aggressive young lady made us feel like beggars when we had booked with a friends and family offer. We would have left immediately only for the one night penalty if we did. £384 for a twin room for 2 nights. £40 added for twin room we had already organised. Don't let the smile fool you, not a nice receptionist. Removed the sheets and pillow cases (which is customary for us to help the cleaning staff) and the mattress protectors were filthy and covered in brown stains. Very disappointed. Everything else in Liverpool and its people were fantastic. Coporate greed in the hotel and the filthy bed wear was the only low point.

This was absolutely a 5 star stay. The reception desk was very courteous and welcoming. The room was specious and super clean. Both my kids and I had plenty to eat from their buffet style breakfast. And if you are looking for a hotel downtown Liverpool with only 5 min walk from the Lime Street station, I think this is the place for you. I am already looking forward to our next stay.

we arrived on match day early on a train from London. Lobby was very busy. They asked us to wait for our room untill it was ready. Later I checked and they updgraded our room. They checked on ride to the match for us and each day we were there, Lewisha and Mariam both were wonderful for taking care of us first time travelers to Liverpool. I was highly impressed with customer service.

Short stay but thoroughly enjoyed it. Only downside was parking but I guess being right in the centre it is expected to pay extra for parking these days. Room and staff were excellent.

Had Christmas dinner on Saturday night. What a waste of money. Starter - parsnip soup was ok, very small amount. Main- was a Christmas dinner. Not sure what the meat was, mostly stuffing of some sort. Small amount of meat surround by fat. Cabbage over cooked and tasteless. Three roasted potatoes the size of the under cooked sprouts! Truly disappointed and hungry. Pudding was ice cream that had been over frosted and a chocolate slab that was inedible. Half bottle of wine each and disco. Disco was good, but night ruined by vile offerings. Poor show. Would never recommend.

Worst service. They don't pick the call from rooms . Breakfast is same for everyday . Tasteless . Don't get in the trap in the name of marriot . We are calling since last 2 hours for water no one is picking .It is almost zero degree temerature where we will go for water . Stupid services . Never come here .

Ideally placed for Lime Street Station and very comfortable bed and room noise from corridor on floor can be noisy but did not disturb my sleep

Very central. If you want to park your car outside then it's £25 for the night. Rooms are normally big and tidy but feel dated. Didn't eat or drink in bar so can't comment there. It is really central and if coming to the city by train it's very close.

It was a nightmare finding the car park and the hotel. Roadworks and one way system were hellish. The Marriott hotels that I stay at, York,Northampton, Liverpool to name a few, are all starting to look and feel really tired. They need refurbishment rather rapidly to stay on par with other like priced hotels.

Parking up at the Q-CarPark next door and in urgent need for the loo, we popped in here and were pleasantly surprised by the warmth of welcome. We weren't staying, literally just "popping in". The Reception area was sleek and spacious, nice design. The toilets were very nice and I peeked into a meeting room "break-out" area next door, all very nice. We did buy a coffee in the bar area whilst studying the good range of liquors behind the bar. I think it likely we'll come to stay here in the future if only to spend a happy night in their bar!!! Very approachable and helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our very short visit to this hotel!

Lovely hotel based right in the centre of Liverpool rooms are clean and pretty upto date. Breakfast is good with a good range of options. Best part is the location you are walking distance of everything and minutes away from loads of restaurants. Staff are very friendly and helpful if anythings wrong with your room. If anythings wrong they will resolve it quick!

I wanted to alter my date as i booked it incorrectly by 1 day. I checked and I know rooms are available on correct date, Company policy does not allow them to do a delta cost on a non refundable booking . ie. If you need to change date, loose all your money £120 . Really frustrating to have to pay another £120 or more to book the next day. ( I wont as thats the type of customer I am) Someone else can have my money but not Marriott

I was quite disappointed with my experience. Upon arrival, I was offered an upgrade for £20, which seemed rather steep as it was 1/4 of the cost of my current room. If an upgrade is offered, I would expect it to be complimentary, as I would have booked a more expensive room initially if I had wanted to. During my dining experience at the bar, my soup arrived with bread that was inedible, and even with a knife, it was impossible to cut through. Although I received an apology, I was disappointed that no one offered to waive the cost of the soup or the automatic service charge that was added to my bill. The breakfast was also lackluster, with tasteless and rubbery sausages. Overall, I would give this place a 2/5 rating - would have been 1/5, however, I must say that the staff was friendly and I couldn't fault the room itself.

The stay here was impeccable. The room was huge and the beds were comfortable. Amazing service as well, Lewishar was stunning, she was great at answering questions, the location was right in the city’s center, perfect for us to explore Liverpool. The hotel was brilliant, would recommend .

A nice modern hotel in the heart of Liverpool with amenities like 24 hour room service. The staff were very friendly and efficient, but at the time of my visit the air conditioning was not working in my room. They did provide a portable unit but it was very loud. All in all a good hotel in a great location.

We stayed at the studio suite. Nothing to complain really. Everything was good. Bed is comfy. Pillow are soft. Breakfast was good. Service was good with very helpful front desk crew. Parking was fine. Great location. We loved it. We will be back!

We stayed at the one bed room suite. Very spacious. Excellent service. Yet it is an old building. Elevator works at its will. Sometimes both work, sometimes none… breakfast was reasonable rooms a bit noisy due to street noise which could be a problem to some. All in all was a good stay.

Great location, super staff, and quite nice rooms. No real complaints here. Breakfast was pretty bad, but other than that, we had a pretty good experience.

Lovely clean hotel with very nice rooms although a touch on the warm side. Reception staff really good and helpful. Bar prices very reasonable for a chain hotel. Great buffet breakfast with additional chef doing eggs and omelette to order. Pity no onsite parking but the multi storey is just opposite and free fir guests through a ticket validation. Hope to return again.

Lovely hotel. Staff are really helpful. There's plenty of space to host an event here and they will help you plan everything, they have some great suggestions. City centre location but not in the middle of loads of pubs or noise.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at the Marriott and despite multiple last-minute changes on our end, the staff went above and beyond. They catered amazingly, adapted to many dietary restrictions, and even left us rose petals, fruit, champagne, and chocolate strawberries to finish our day perfectly! Emil and Sarah helped make our day the most memorable day of our lives and we wish there was more we could do to thank them for their outstanding performance. - Samantha and Harrison x

We have stayed here three times within the last six weeks.First stay was on the sixth floor at the rear of the building. Room was a double double but only had one chair. Seems silly considering four people might have wanted to eat in the room. Room a little chilly. Second stay on fourth floor at the front. Again d/d but with two chairs this time. Again a little chilly. There were cups available if you wanted to take a drink away with you which is a good idea. Third time last week again d/d on sixth floor. Room still being serviced when we entered. Noticed much later in the evening that there were no glasses or plastic cups. Again only one chair and chilly again. Also, on the second and third visit, I paid £172.01 pence but on the third occasion was asked for an extra £50! Not given a reasonable explanation. Hope this is refunded unless the management think we took all the glasses last week from 642!!

Great hotel but an absolute shambles when it comes to admin, and trying to get money back off them. Inexperienced staff on desk who are clueless.

Excellent value for money. No fridge in the room, which we would expect of a 4 star hotel. Excellent location, very helpful staff, operating gym. Would definitely stay there again.

For the most part, had an average experience. I booked my rooms through my Amex travel site and did not realize I did not book directly. At check-in when I asked about my Marriot Bonvoy membership, I was quickly dismissed because my reservation was not a direct booking. I was given an outdated room. Toilet did not flush properly and had to take a cold shower in the morning. I did not bother complaining because of my experience at check-in. It was after all just a night stay. I've stayed at several Marriott hotels before and this one was my least favorite.

Nice hotel with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Loads to choose from at breakfast buffet and staff approach guests immediately asking re hot drink preferences. Clean room and sense of safety.

Awful experience.. they charge you more than other places but the amenities are just same as cheap travel lodge. What the point of paying you guys more. The lady at reception was nice while we were checking in... However checkout was very dry and rude. The lady didn't mentioned anything about how am going to get my deposit back and I have to message them through booking.com asking about it. Receptionist need to be more trained and helpful... this was my last stay here and such a waste of money

The room service was very good. The room was very basic and the hot water wasn't working for the shower but was working for the bathtub for some reason. The bed was quite hard but comfortable. The room service menu was quite good. However what really let it down for me was that the hotel had an event going on mid-week and there was loud music blasting through to every room in the hotel until 1am. I would probably expect something like this on a weekend or during the week in Ibiza, however a lot of people stay at this hotel for business trips during the week, just as I was, and we certainly did not expect to not be able to get to sleep until after 1am because of a club night going on downstairs. I was really disappointed by this and did complain and say that they should have made us aware of the planned event when we booked so that we could have mafe the decision to stay at one of the many other hotels nearby. Granted the lady at reception did give me free parking by way of an apology, however she also said that the hotel doesn't know at the time of guest bookings that there will be events being held at the hotel. That does make sense because of course some people would book a room far in advance to secure a good rate, however in this particular instance I had booked the room in accordance with a special room rate for this hotel which was specifically secured by the organisers of a two day conference I was attending at St George's Hall. Therefore the hotel would have known that people like myself who used the special room rate were attending a work conference and so they could have been more considerate of our early starts and perhaps not allowed for a booking for a loud party during the conference. Needless to say, I won't be staying here again as my clubbing holiday days are long gone.

Dated Luxury in a great location I was really deliberating about booking here because of all the reviews about the lack of appropriate air conditioning in the rooms and them being very warm. I should have listened to those reviewers! It was indeed so hot we couldn't sleep well at all. As a TITANIUM member, they had done everything to make the stay better by upgrading us to a wonderful suite! But still, the heat alone killed the experience and that is the only reason I am giving this 3 stars and not a 5 Star rating LOCATION: Excellent location close to the Train station and all attractions DINE + DRINK: Lobby level Bar that is great for a pre-evening drink. Didn't check out the restaurant, as there were plenty of wonderful bars, cafes and restaurants located around the hotel. ROOM: We stayed in 603 which was a Penthouse Suite, so this review is based on that; VIEW: sweet view of the station and the heritage buildings outside; SIZE: Very spacious suite with a living room and huge bedroom; AIR-CON: the biggest letdown and FAILURE in the room and the stay!; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Good spa-quality cosmetics by ACCA KAPPA brand FACILITIES: A really good Gym with a full range of weights and Cardio machines - perfect for a full-on workout! SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages

Family room a great size and nice jacuzzi bath. Great location in the centre and nice little bar downstairs. Unfortunately the air con was broken but gave us discount.

A truly great base in the heart of the city centre. The staff are brilliant and the food is spot on. I spent a long weekend with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary, the cleaners saw our anniversary cards and had a few gifts sent to our room which was very unexpected. They wrote in the card that they were thrilled that we had chosen their hotel to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and they gave us a lovely bottle of champagne! It absolutely made our weekend. Fantastic! We can't wait to return.

Location is ideal for Lime Street train station and city center to Liverpool One and the sea. The rooms are spacious but the building is old. Faced not functioning Aircondition during the heat period in August. The staff are very friendly and cooperative. The access the area very convenient. Breakfast is good with excellent services and hot food

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any place. This site will compare countless booking web sites and usually will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is the best rated in this area. I've been coming here for years. If you choose this place you won't be disappointed. The staff in hotel could not have been more friendly our helpful, I would like in particular to thank Robert who could not do enough for us ( group of Ladies from Ireland) a very professional endearing young man....Hotel was beautiful, clean central to everything, couldn't have asked for better
