It was ok Nice tidy place. Room clean but bed not very comfortable. Bathroom ok but shower not that perfect (leaking head) some mold on silone. Nice staff. Good breakfast. The only issue was the cold water in the evening as there was broken boiler.

Stayed over the bank holiday weekend, room on 3rd floor was fine. First night struggled to sleep due to the constant noise of the a/c unit, needless to say not happy! Manager promised that an engineer would fix it, were told that it had been drained. Second night same noise again! Seriously annoyed! Spoke to manager, not particularly interested! Third night, exactly the same!! Promised a refund of the first night, still waiting! Although considering the problem was every night of stay, would’ve expected more! Last year stayed at same hotel - leaking toilet, again not fixed despite numerous reporting of smell and water! Won’t be staying again!

Rubbish better off sleeping in a car. Booked a double room with a double bed got there and they said we only have a double room with 2 single beds asked again the next day and still only a room with 2 single beds tv not working room colder then being outside as no heating was on and couldn’t even turn it on because it is controlled from reception. Checked out after 2 nights and found a different hotel

This hotel is below the general Holiday Inn Express (HIE) standard. The receptionist does seem like welcoming you. While the room is larger than the norm, the shower hot water control is not working properly which is something basic but missed. The breakfast is the worst among all HIE as it comes with packed breads and no hot food available. This leaves you wondering if the hotel is managed by ihg.

Stayed for two nights. Room was clean, service was great - very helpful people on reception, really good breakfast with wide selection of food. It was a bit tricky for navigation app to get us there and we took literally the last (very small) parking space in back but other than that, great experience.

Stayed in June on business trip. It’s a Holiday Inn you know what you’re going to get which is all the basics to a good standard. Breakfast was enjoyable. Pint of Guinness, Burger and chips came to nearly £20 so not the cheapest. Not really close to anything within walking distance.

Drove in through a flood. Carpark littered with cigarette butts. Had to wait at reception for service. But, good staff who had poor tools to work with. The room was past its sell by date and the bathroom flooded when using the shower. A tsunami head to the main bedroom. We wanted an accessible room, it was but when offered another room to use instead of our pond it was that strong cigarette smell again. Breakfast was good but evening meals very basic. The only good thing about the place was the staff. They did try so hard to help. .

Nice hotel. Room could have been a bit cleaner (bathroom) also no vents in bathroom so when you had a shower the whole room steamed up (not great for woman with wild prone hair when faced with humid conditions) Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was okay but not a great deal of choice (especially for veggies) We managed to get a table but there was a lack of tables for others to sit and eat at. Road closure made to difficult to get to, would have been helpful to have been notified beforehand.

We didn’t stay, when we arrived the room was filthy, the sofa bed wasn’t made up, there was chewing gum squashed into furnishings. Decor throughout the hotel was really dated. Luckily upon sharing our disappointment, the lady behind reception offered a full refund

Abysmal service. Was away for 2 weeks. Spent £700 on a room. And i didnt get my room cleaned. Or bedding changed. There was broken tiles on the floor ith a yellow low stained ceiling. Windows were moldy and chipping away. Was promised 4 days on a trot for a room move. But never recieved it untill half way through. Serious customer service and training is needed. And repairs 😂😂😂😂

Check-in was seamless. The lady in reception was very friendly and helpful. For the price of £54, we couldn't have asked for anything more for our 1nt stay. The room was clean, bedding and towels spotless. Breakfast was included which was more than adequate. My only criticism/suggestions. In the breakfast area, lots of guests walking around without a mask on even though the hotel had signs up, none of the hotel staff asked them to wear them. The toilet pan in our room was quite stained when we checked in, it looked as though it needed bleach down the pan to give it a good clean. Otherwise, we would be happy to stay again when visiting family in the area.

Friendly staff, Kelvin or Kervin on the front desk was highly professional, informative, approachable and knowledgeable about the area and transport links. Friendly manner over the phone and friendly manner in person. Comfortable and clean rooms, no issues when it comes to people moving about the hotel with disabilities.

No hot water in the shower! all they can only offer is a room at the first floor to have a shower. Guess what? They will give you a key to a room so you can have a shower!!! Then, you will trail back to your room at the third floor!!! Great! It’s just not I expect to resolve the problem of waiting for a new boiler!

It was our first weekend away with our baby boy. The hotel was clean, quiet and very nice staff. Especially Zoe she made our nervous son settle and made the effort to keep him giggling and waving every time he saw her which is rare as he is shy. Thank you Zoe!!! Your a credit to this holiday inn.

Stayed 3 night, cheap rooms. Good to have breakfast included, by there is no sound proofing meaning you hear kids and fights going on in corridors and stairwells. There was almost no water pressure and the hot water only lasted for 1 or 2 minutes before going cold

Big shout out to this Branch and it's staff. Kelvin and Adam were amazing and there was a lady between their shifts who I didn't catch the name of but was also so helpful and friendly. Spotlessly clean communal areas and w/c. Receptionists were fantastic and so friendly. Beds comfy, plenty of room and again high standard of cleanliness. Considering the hotel opposite charges double the price and was filthy, I know where I'll be staying if I'm ever invited to another event across the road.

Outstanding customer service. Clean and organized hotel. Affordable rate and nice english breakfast. Free parking and definitely will be back.

Great location for driving in and around Liverpool. Clean little bar. Gets very busy at breakfast time. Recommend eating early as the poor staff get run off their feet. Felt particularly sorry for one guy who done the busy late shift,cooking and serving and the breakfast shift cooking, cleaning, serving and customer services. We'll done that man!

I've stayed at 4 Star hotels not as good as this! Absolutely beautiful fully refurbished Holiday Inn Express. Spotlessly clean. Wonderful friendly staff, especially Dave on reception. Couldn't meet a nicer chap! Started as strangers, left as friends! Will definitely be back!!!

The room is very good. However, most of the drinks at the bar was unavailable and the same for the food too. Breakfast is very disappointing and limited on coffee options
