Good location, quiet, big rooms, clean bedding, super friendly personnel. The building is dated but it’s just a hostel, not 5 star hotel. In general it is very clean but the carpets need proper washing or replacing as they seem very old. Windows don’t open fully but it is for safety I guess. I would really like it if there was some table in the room to put my things on. I liked the lounge very much.

Great hostel! The decoration is really beautiful and the staff is so helpful! I stayed in a shared room and everything was very tied and cleaned. The bathroom was also shared and it was always impeccable, which unfortunately is not that common. The beds have curtains so that you can get some privacy and block the sun. Really loved the place!

The rooms were really clean. Clean white sheets, the hallway was neat. The staff were incredibly nice and professional. I found the hostel safe and calm. The only downside is it did not have breakfast as advertised and lifts were broken.

I have stayed in a 14-bed hostel room for a weekend. The Good: The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The bed was clean and fairly comfy I must say. The kitchen is fully equipped and looks new (no oven). The location is amazing, you are right in the city centre! The Bad: I wish breakfast was optional, it was super basic, but because it was included in the price you felt inclined to have some. Would have been better off spending a £3 in a shop. The ensuite bathroom needs redecoration asap, as it was not dirty but looked really old. The lock on the toilet door is broken and it takes ages for the hot water to come in the shower (it will though, be patient!). The room was really crowded, there is only a small space between the beds, so if someone leaves their bag on the floor you might trip over it.

The service was fine, staff members friendly. The only problem we had is that the walls were very thin, you could hear anything your neighbors did, the doors would smash closed (very loudly). Not only that, but annoying people would scream on the hallway even at night, mostly after 10-11pm, while we were trying to sleep. I believe that there should be staff members that would take care of people being loud, as it disturbs other customers.

Staff was really lovely and helpful upon arrival and made us feel very welcome. There was us 6 girls in a room for 6, bunk beds quite comfy, room was quite small and it was difficult for all of us trying to get ready at the same time, but we managed it. We had a bathroom with a shower. We found the hostel quite clean and had no issues. The hostel itself is location is great, we was near everything.

Fabulous, clean, no frills hostel. Family rooms small but immaculate. Perfect for those who just want to rest their heads in a comfy, clean bed without paying through the nose. Bar downstairs has a vintage shabby chic vibe that I fell in love with. Breakfast better than most chain hotels with lots more options and a continental feel. Will definitely be back.

The staff are friendly and accommodating. The building is historic and the bar/dining area is a very fun vibe. It is a very convenient location for arriving from the train station. You do get what you pay for in regards to the rooms. The rooms are stark, but clean. Good choice for a traveler on a budget!

I booked two rooms for a large group to stay from 31st of July until the 4th of August, due to the Covid 19 Pandemic I send several emails to cancel the booking and get information on the refund of the money already paid. This was at the end of April and to this day I haven't received any reply or information. When I call the hotline the line is busy all the time. I understand that the Pandemic hit places hard but where is the problem to inform guests via Email. Really disappointed and I will not stay in the Hatter's again if they ever open again.

Make sure to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. This site will compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is one of my favorites in the area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you won't regret it. Fabulous, clean, no frills hostel. Great experience... nothing has changed except for the name... its funny when the WiFi pops up on your phone from your last visit... dorms/ community rooms are well facilitated with shared ensuites in room... housekeeping daily, keeping everything clean and tidy... only issue was price/ value for money due to Eurovision, so price was very expensive. This was the only negative that I found in my journey.

The hostel staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms however were outdated. I have stayed in hostels with nicer facilities for less. The mattress was very thin and I might as well have been sleeping straight on the metal bed frame. The pillow was as flat as possible and I had to fold in half twice to provide any reasonable amount of support. The WiFi was very slow. The location is good - central and within 10 minutes walking to most of the sites.

Lovely friendly staff, great breakfast, cheap rates, good location. The rooms are a bit shabby but ok. And the cats are nice but they have pissed or scented on the sofa which is where i put my coat that now smells pretty bad. The smell is very strong around the laundry room too. I saw one up on the bar during breakfast where the cold meat and cheese are. Not very hygienic...

Staff were really nice and my room was recently renovated and I have no complaints about it. Some of the other guests were a bit loud though and I think there should be more rules based around this. Will definitely come back one day

The two guys on night reception make this hotel, never met more friendly welcoming guys. Great location for Liverpool too. Highly rated

Awful experience. Staff were rude and uninterested in guests. We weren't well informed about parking at all, and a member of staff walked into our room well before check-out time. We paid near £100 for the room for one night and were only offered 20% off our next visit as compensation - why would we want to go back?! Totally unimpressed - poor quality hostel charging far too much for what they offer.

When I was here there was construction work going on in the hostel. The room didn't smell too good and wasn't clean. Beds were uncomfortable. Only stayed for one night. The hostel seemed quite empty. Bar was closed but you could still get a bucket of 6 Coronas for 9£ wich is a fair price. Staff was friendly. I payed 10£ for one night so I can't really complain too much. You get what you pay for I guess. This hostel has potential. I think once they finished renovating it, it will be a nice place to stay.

Very nice Hostel near the very center of Liverpool. Friendly staff, nice bedrooms... Maybe just a little to warm when it is sunny in summer time.... But who would complain about heat in the UK right? Had a great time there too bad I did not get to experience everything as the building was undergoing refresh-works. Pretty sure it is even better now! Enjoy the place

Good room (double room) with a large bethroom, but unfortunately we have to be attentive regarding our food in the kitchen. Apparently, there are people who don't mind being a thieve. The hostel could be more caring for the guests putting some cameras in the kitchen. We had our food stolen and there was nothing they could do in order to find the unscrupulous person who did that.

Booked for 2 nights, on 31st July and 1st August. Received confirmation booking from Agoda but when I turned up, the door was closed, no answer on the phone, I emailed them and had to found plan B to spend my nights. There was and there is no indication on their website that they are closed. I don't recommend to anyone to book it.

Super nice hostel. Everything very clean. Perfect kitchen, showers and wc:s. The beds are awesome. Location is only some minutes walk from train central. Well worth the money.

Liverpool is quite a small city, and the hostel is very close to Liverpool Lime St. I stayed in a room which was clearly very recently renovated; the room and facilities were modern and clean, including the kitchen. The beds in my room had curtains and you felt very private in the morning when waking up and when going to sleep. Plenty of space in the ensuite bathrooms, so you're never cramped. Breakfast was comprehensive and had everything you'd expect at the price you pay. Has laundry facilities as well, although there was only one seemingly for the whole hostel. Definitely outstanding value for money, if this place were in London it would be extremely competitive.

I stayed here for a night and could not have been happier. Its a hostel, but not far off hotel standard room. Was super clean, and the bed was very comfy. The staff were all really friendly and helpful too, not to mention taking social distancing seriously. QStupid me left a personal item behind, and I called to get it sent to me. Luckily, the chap I spoke with, Junior, was super helpful. He's boxed up.mybitem and printed the courier label for me so its ready to go. Hats off to you guys!! Defo recommend, its in a great location and reasonably priced.
