We stayed in a super room and it was nice. The reason I gave the room a 4* and overall 4* was the cleanliness. The floors need a better hoover, the corners of the room where filthy and the lifts where disgusting. However the location was perfect for us and the staff where super friendly. Food was very average

Early check-in was not available, and took 2+ hours for staff to find the hairdryer when I requested it. All in all though I had a good stay. Location great. Staff very pleasent. Room comfortable.

Basic accommodation which was clean and tidy. Take note no hairdryers. Being located next to the lift I expected noise throughout the night but these rooms all have a kind of porch double door situation so I wasn't disturbed by internal noise. Basic breakfast: sausages and bacon good. Eggs not so much. Coffee was Lavaza if you're into that. Croissant a no no - dry and tasteless. Overall a good Basic stay for the cost.

I usually avoid Travelodge personally but was booked here by work. Rooms were surprisingly good, decent bed, Good bathroom. Buffet breakfast was not good and had to argue with them to get the discounted drinks rates clearly advertised on flyers in the bar.

DIRTY ROOM Room was dirty, tea on walls, kettle dirty and sticky, bed sheet not changed and hairs on the bed and in the bathroom, bath thin dirty, window seals full of dust, head rest full of dust and sticky from cups of teas, carpet was dirty, dirty soaked towel left on the bathroom floor from previous customer. Very disappointed in general with this hotel, I have used other Travelodge before but have been miles better. The location of the hotel is very good, it's a shame they don't keep on top of the cleaning!

Wifi should really be a standard in chain hotels - shocked that we are only given 30 minute option per day, or have to pay £3 a day for use. The showers have no glass - only a curtain and water gets everywhere on the floor. Otherwise clean and quiet.

We visited this hotel with my mam who needs a mobility scooter to get around. We booked this hotel mainly because it was supposed to be disabled user friendly, it isn't. The lifts are so small my mams small scooter wouldn't fit in it without having to be lifted. When she wanted to get in to or out of her room she had to be assisted because the doors locks are too far away for her to reach when she is in the scooter and hold the door open to get out. Every time we entered and left the hotel via the disabled access door in the bar/restaurant the alarm went off until the door was closed again, my mam couldn't actually go out that way due to the noise so my family had to drive it for her. Some of the staff were excellent but others made you feel like you were asking for the world. The room was not as clean as the travelodge rooms are usually. There was a lot of dust in the room, the windows and secondary glazing were filthy and the toilet had remnants of the previous persons solid waste in it. The public areas of the hotel were very clean and the bar area is really comfy and a relaxing place to sit.

Very good, except housekeeper ignored our top up sign on the first night and even though I put the empty toilet roll on the outside door handle, they failed to re supply toilet roll. We had to ask the gentleman at reception who kindly helped us.

Enjoying a 5 night stay in this hotel, which is just a couple of hundred yards from the Cavern Quarter. Room was quiet and clean. Staff were pleasant. Inexpensive. What more can you ask for?

Gabe at reception was very friendly and helpful. Originally we had issues with being given the wrong room but was sorted very quickly. Great shower but it flooded all over the floor everytime. Hand soap in bathroom smelt like pure chemicals as well as the “hair and body wash” in the shower. Key cards also kept breaking. Dead fly on the windowsill when we entered and quite a bit of dust around the bed. We were refused early check in even after offering to pay because they said they didn’t know if there were any rooms, even though we had this room booked months in advance. They also couldn’t hold our bags for us after 6 hours of travelling which was a real letdown. There must only be a few hairdryers for the entire hotel of 700+ rooms and took reception 3 hours to bring us a hairdryer. All in all, good hotel for short stays and if all you need is the basics.

The lady who serviced us breakfast was lovely and very helpful. It was difficult to get hold of the reception staff and our room was awful. We had to share 1 bed between the 4 of us due to the put up beds being so uncomfortable and the sheets either had stains or rips in. Disappointed considering we visit Liverpool so much and always stay in this travelodge.

Very basic but clean. Staff were helpful. Location is good - near Liverpool City center. Charging extra for WiFi in 2023 is outrageous - the rooms here aren't particularly cheap so having to pay more for basic WiFi is poor.

Paid for an upgraded room but it was disappointing. Bed had a dip in it like the old beds used to. Window were tatty and there was mould on the outside panes. Secondary double glazing was wonky. Room was cold when we got there but was warmer when we got back after a meal. Shower was good as it had a riser rail.

I'll get the negatives out of the way, the bathroom flooded when we had a shower so had to use towels to mop it up . There was a lamp that was covered in rust, the 1 window wouldn't shut, it wasn't cold once curtains were closed and the heating was on but may affect if it was really cold outside. We had 2 rooms one for me and my partner and the other for 2 friends. Their room was bigger than ours but yet we still paid the same price. The breakfast was basic, and not filled up very quickly. A lot of people hanging around waiting for food to be brought out. Positives.. there was a lad called will that was really good. He checked us in very quickly and efficiently. He was also on the bar and serving meals later on. He looked after us very well, Another staff member overcharged us for drinks, will sorted it straight away. He's an asset to the company. Thank you will for making the start of our stay a good one. The location is brilliant, the room apart from the couple of mishaps was very clean and smelt fresh, it was quiet we didn't hear people walking around or noise from neighbours. It was a very pleasant stay and would probably return in the future

Really good for the budget price. Stayed for work and had a comfortable quiet stay. Much better than many of the other hotels around Castle / Exchange street. Friendly staff.

Lovely clean rooms, love that no-one can get into the hallways unless they have a swipe card and are staying there, only thing I don't like was 3 o'clock check-in, as its a bit late in the day ,other than that,it's clean and staff are very friendly..

The room was very basic. The bed was Uncomfortable, the duvet was horrible. The TV was small and high up, slightly awkward position. The kettle was small, but the desk and chair were comfy and a decent size. The room was cold, the heater was small and useless. The shower curtain was terrible, I had to use a towel to mop.ip the small lake that had formed when I had a shower. The soap and shampoo dispensers kept falling down, too. The sink drained very slowly. The shower itself was way too hot, with no temperature control. I genuinely turned red because the water was so hot, it was almost burning. Overall, it was a room, it was relatively clean. I'd use as a last resort, wouldn't deliberately choose it.

Nice clean room like you'd expect from a Travelodge. Perfectly situated in Liverpool city centre and if you get your parking ticket stamped your parking goes from £24-£9 for the night

For what you pay for the room, and what you get is just right. Views from your room are dependent on where you get your room. Breakfast is full English or Continental which comes as extra if you want it. Staff are friendly but not always around if you need them. Overall, plesent stay.

Nice quiet area of hotel so no noise and staff was friendly. Given 3 stars has had no soap dispenser for the 3 nights and just kept getting told it will be fixed and shower curtain to small and hangs over the shower tray so floor kept flooding and had to use towels to mop up and again nobody seem too bothered to rectify this .

It’s a bit old, the keys didn’t work properly; the first room smelled like a sewer and the room I eventually went with needed a deep clean. But given it’s price it gets three stars. But I’m not sure I would choose to stay again:

Overall satisfied with the quality of the stay. Rooms are spacious, Ok Clean, location is great cause it's two streets or so away from where things are happening and shops are everywhere, so it's in its own sort of corner. Service is pretty much non existent the hotel has a self-service feel to it (most Travellodge hotel share this as well) and I feel comfortable coming in and out and coming back late. Will stay again.

The room my friend and i were in was very cold. I was literally sleeping in flannelette pj's a fleece top, scarf round my neck, socks on, gloves on and this was in bed, because sheets were so cold because the room was cold with only a small heater. I also had to put my padded long coat over me in bed. Couldn't get warmed up until i went off to sleep and woke up in the morning, with still wearing all clothing :-(. So if u do go there and they havn't done anything about it, i would avoid room 117.

5 minutes walk from Lime Street. My booking had messed up, but Will was outstanding and went above and beyond to sort out a room. Adelphi need to take notes. Rooms were clean and bright. Other hotel staff were friendly and professional. If I visit Liverpool again I shall be booking here. There is also a restaurant and bar in the premises.

We stayed here for 3 nights. There is no parking, hastle to keep moving the car every 4hrs. The hotel has almost no staff especially at night time. The location is close to docks but disadvantage is the noise from outside. Room did not have aircon, not sure what hotel in these days haven't got basic. Understaffed and house keeping don't work on weekends or never showed up to our room despite us leaving the sign outside to clean the room

Decent sized room Ultra cheap in the week Great location to explore the city Recommend parking out at Waterloo and get train in if staying a few days....free parking and £5 each way on the train Vs £25 a day in city car park

I handrail for steps into reception for those who struggle. Shower leaks onto floor could do with a bath mat. No sockets where double bed is needed this for medical reasons. Breakfast was good though. Over all needs a massive over haul to bring it upto date.

Very impressed with how clean this travelodge room was. Very spacious and cosy. We arrived on Sunday evening around 8 or 9pm, on the 6th of august and the receptionist was exceptional and very welcoming (i’ve stated the date and time we arrived because I cannot remember his name and he deserves to be praised for being so nice and thoughtful. If I remember right, he was a blonde guy with short hair). Great service for a bargain price.

Tucked away 11 minutes walk from Liverpool One city centre. Travelodge exchange street is an attention grabber. The staff are very hospitable and super efficient. As for food and the restaurant, I can't say anything yet until dinner and breakfast tomorrow. The ambience of the room is soothing and satisfactory.

Stayed here for Eurovision and as a result they'd hiked up the prices so we paid £280 for a standard double room. Pros: The location was good. Cons: - lights behind bed didn't work - desk lamp was rusting and broken - kettle sparked as it boiled - milk was out of date and curdled - one of the front desk staff randomly walked into our room in the morning whilst we were in bed (they later apologised for the accident to their credit) - they advertise as if it's something worth boasting about that you get 30 minutes free WiFi and after that you have to pay

Cheap and cheerful 10 if us stayed here, 2 lads per room. All of us ended up with disabled rooms for the extra room somehow! Great service from the girl on reception and the lad on the bar who was called will. And the nighttime bar guy who did everything! Would recommend

  • 2/5 Eddie H. 2 years ago on Google
Booked a lovely room with a wall view. Corridoors full of drunk kids running around all night and expect an early wake up call from the noise that echos up from the buildings internal access area. Motorbike, refuse truck and a trolley delivery were my personal favourites. Will cuddle up to one of the homeless outside next time for a better nights sleep.

Disgusting. Mattress stank, carpet full of glitter, bed not made covers just pulled up, shower not clean, teaspoons sticky hadn’t been washed, chairs stained, hairs on pillows and mattress, blood on sheet. Thank goodness only pd for one night and it was a superior room. Superior disgust. Never again

Clean comfortable spacious room couldn't fault it. Midweek birthday celebration so just wanted a bed for the night. Booked in advance and certainly would stay again. Showed curtain isn't full length so need to be mindful as floor gets soaked

Comfy and spacious rooms for the price. No noise whatsoever during our multi-day stay. Wish they provided slippers and some way to keep water cool. Very close to the centre.

Very nice sized room. Good hot shower, but no hot water in the sink. Excellent price. Strong location to visit all the main attractions.

Decent enough for a city centre stay - great price for location! Room was clean, but shower curtain had a lingering damp smell which wasn't the best. Aside from that, the room was great and had good amenities. Only one lift was working during our stay, but never had any issues with it (never had to wait). Staff we interacted with were friendly.

  • 1/5 James C. 2 years ago on Google
Blocked sink. Had to ask 2x for them to unblock it. Door cards stop working every so often. Frustrating having to keep getting them activated. Only some plugs work in room. Dirty un hoovered carpet and bathroom there was hair in the shower and on sides near door and was also dirty. It appears they don't seem to clean rooms properly. Bed was made neatly and comfortable. 2 sets of windows allows you in winter to keep milk chilled in the middle. Tv with free view channels. Small but acceptable bathroom. These rooms can go for £200 per I checked so for that I want better quality.

You could hear the trash being thrown away every night. I had to keep my curtains closed as people could see in my room opposite. Okay for a one night stay, bed was comfy. No signal in the room tho.

You have all the minimum needed comfort, all is perfect even the room temperature not too hot not too cold, every little detail was designed for a maximum comfort for the guest. I think efficiency l love efficiency so l love Travelodge thanks for everything. And of course the price is the best 🤑

  • 4/5 L2 2. 2 years ago on Google
Decent Travelodge. Clean, everything as expected. Interesting building - beautiful façade. Unfortunately staff without masks entered the lift even though guests were not only asked to wear masks, but also not to join other parties in the lift. Both good measure but pointless if ignored by staff!

Nobody there when we arrived to check in, had to wait in the lobby for quite a while. Got into our room, an annoying noise every 15 seconds which sounded like a right tap being turned on. The bathroom was so badly designed that the water floods out of the shower tray and all over the floor meaning we had to use a pair of trainers to enter the bathroom as it was 2 inches in water for the rest of the stay. Empty shower gel pump in the shower. I know it’s a cheap room but no impressed and would happily pay the extra for a premier inn as 10x better. Location was good however.

  • 5/5 Mark L. 2 years ago on Google
Ideally situated on edge of the busy city centre. Polite staff. Room was cleaned to high standard each day. Lift upto the floors available. Highly recommended for a cheap midweek getaway.

I stayed at this Travelodge to give them another chance after they failed me at another location. They offered me free early check in, late checkout and free breakfast during my stay. I stayed in a Super Room on the 6th floor. Although it was a bit tiny, it made itself up in features. The bed was comfy and the seating was great, it was easy to work from a laptop here, loads of plugs around the place. The Super Rooms come with a coffee machine, however mine wasn’t clean and was a little mouldy with a used capsule still in the machine. For this reason, I’ve knocked a star off my review. The staff were pleasant when dealing with them, even just walking through, their attitude was calm and friendly. Breakfast was a little bit of a farce, it was so obvious that they’d recycled the food from the previous days and wasn’t appealing. The orange juice tasted like it had been sat in the machine for a long period of time, all thick and gloopy. For that reason, another star is deducted. Would I visit again? Yes I would, it was quiet for a city centre location and close by to public transport links having 2 entrances to Moorfields Railway station within a 30 second walk. My advice? Get a Super Room and skip the breakfast, then you’re half way to there competitors in purple shirts!

Stayed here before a few times. The room was massive but the heater in the room wasn't working. It kept flashing up an err 3 message. We reported it to reception, they came to the room with a portable heater, although we could've swapped rooms. In hindsight I wish we'd had. Also the desk lamp didn't work either. Again reported it but didn't get fixed. Apart from that it's a good hotel, I stayed there because I had a hospital appointment at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital which was an absolute boneache to get to as they've changed all the buses from when we was last there. Obviously not the hotel's fault.

Travelodge standard is always low, but please be aware that the hotel does not offer any luggage storage, and therefore is not suitable for tourists unless you arrive to Liverpool after check-in time and leave before check-out time. Pretty standard stuff that should be expected from even a low-standard hotel such as Travelodge. Will definitely not stay here again.

A well located hotel nice breakfast in the morning. I would of given it the full five stars if it wasn't for some dodgy plumbing. But apart from that a nice place to stay.
