The
venue
is
gorgeous,
there's
no
denying
that,
but
the
service
and
attention
to
detail
wasn't
great.
As
part
of
the
bridal
party
getting
ready
in
the
bridal
suite,
we
were
amazed
when
we
ordered
a
bottle
of
champagne
and
were
told
there
were
no
chilled
bottles
available.
On
a
wedding
day!
We
eventually
settled
on
a
bottle
of
rosé
which
was
delivered
with
4
dirty
glasses
(lipstick
marks)
-
not
great
for
the
wedding
photos!
We
were
supposed
to
be
served
canopés
between
the
ceremony
and
the
meal,
but
after
1
tray
was
circulated
(for
100
guests),
the
bride
had
to
ask
where
the
rest
were.
After
the
thunder
storms
and
rain
had
passed
early
evening,
I
asked
a
member
of
staff
if
they
could
wipe
down
the
outdoor
seating
to
accommodate
the
evening
guests.
One
of
the
team
quickly
brought
out
some
blue
paper
towels
but
simply
left
them
on
a
table
for
the
guests
to
use
rather
than
doing
it
themselves.
There
is
only
1
small
bar,
which
meant
that
guests
were
waiting
quite
a
while
to
be
served,
especially
as
the
evening
guests
started
to
arrive.
Maybe
more
bar
staff
would
have
helped
-
the
staff
serving
were
great,
though.
Even
if
they
were
suffering
from
heat
exhaustion!
It
was
an
extremely
hot
day
and
the
majority
of
the
bedrooms
had
small
fans
in
-
I
dread
to
think
how
bad
the
rooms
without
them
were
as
I
struggled
to
sleep
in
the
heat
with
the
fan
on
high.
I
appreciate
that
this
is
an
old
manor
house,
but
I
would
highly
recommend
investing
in
some
kind
of
air
conditioning
given
how
hot
summers
can
be
these
days.
Overall,
I
would
say
if
the
service
levels
were
better
and
there
was
more
focus
on
attention
to
detail,
this
would
be
an
amazing
venue.
Don't
get
me
wrong,
the
day
was
great,
but
the
bridal
party
should
never
have
to
ask
for
better
service...
