On a weekend away to aintree raced we stayed here.the owners son give us a warm welcome,he is very polite and helpful .The rooms are very modern and clean and large with everything you expect .we had a fab stay and would definitely return.

Rooms are absolutely mingin move the beds and look under them if you don't believe me I wouldn't stay there ever again but that's down to the woman who lives next door (the manageress - HA) she doesn't clean up properly and gets very angry at you when you point the dirt and mess out to her. She's very angry and nasty - maxine her name is. Do your job properly the rooms are disgusting

The hotel is very dirty and bad in all aspects. Bad smells come from inside, sometimes the heating doesn't work. And sometimes there is no hot water. No staff or room service.

The staff are absolutely vile and rude... will never come back here again. The room was absolutely disgusting / period stains on my bed sheets explained too the manager and he didnt do anything about it was horrified and disappointed for the money I spent staying there. The shower had stains in. So did the bath towels. Dusty room with a dirty unexplained smell. When checking in the manager spoke too me rude. And had no manners. Also found a hair in my breakfast aswell. This is HORRIBLE VILE HOTEL DO NOT GO HERE

Clean and comfortable service, friendly staff and a monsoon shower! We enjoyed our stay a lot. Not too far from the city and a quiet neighbourhood to get some rest.

this is a clean and good value for money hotel. you do have your own basin and shower. though the toilet is shared. outside the room very quiet. 10min walk to Waterloo main street. I would stay again

Staying here for a couple of nights, this is our first and it's 1am! Staff brilliant and have spent all evening down stairs at the bar having a nice chat with Ann who is working. She's given us lots of places to visit during our stay and has already gone above and beyond for us :) our room is huge, nicely decorated and modern with ensuite. Very very pleased so far.

Clean, well priced. Would stay again. Good location. Comfy bed and faultless room. Better on the inside than out, so a bit of leap of faith that paid off for us. OK breakfast.

Stayed here for a night. I was expecting too much for the price but was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. It looks like they've spend a lot of money on refurbishing it recently and it shows. Room was very pleasant and bathroom was also very tidy and modern. And to top it off, a full English breakfast included in the morning! Will be back to stay if I'm up that area again.

There are great value hotels and then there are amazing value hotels. The Marlborough Hotel has recently been renovated and it’s been done very tastefully. You feel that there is a lot of quality to the place. The staff are very welcoming and very friendly. We felt instantly at home in a post Covid environment when everyone is a little bit apprehensive. There is an abundance of restaurants and bars just down the road and it’s a stones throw from some lovely beaches. Would highly recommend!
