The hotel is the perfect location for the city centre. Went here on a stag with nearly 20 of us. Hotel was very accommodating for us all. In particular Chrissy on reception was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, modern and beds very comfortable. The in house bar "Masons" was also very good with live saxophone and singers. Overall very impressed with whole experience and would certainly recommend.

This hotel has a great location. In Liverpool. After that it is simply horrible the rooms have no air flow leaving them unbearably warm, with the only help from the hotel being a small fan. The shower seems great at first, but the temperature is set at 38°C for some reason which means even qhne you want to cool down from the boiling room you can't even get a cold shower. For the price this hotel is a joke

Bed very comfortable it's clean and modern But VERY HOT environment... I don't sleep much so left our room to not disturb others sleeping BUT I had no were to go !! They had no lounge.. no bar... no roof terrace like advertised... I had to stand in the back streets on my own with no where to sit at all hour's off the night or day... !!!

Looked at previous bad reviews but said we would stay. Stayed three nights. Family of 4. They took 250 deposit on arrival. When we checked out they charged me 25 pounds for spilled chocolate milk on the sheets. Absolutely scandalous. Got no where with them. Even though we didn't complain once about the state of apartment. Sheets not ironed. One pillow each. Floor was so dirty I couldn't leave kids walk around without shoes in. Duvet cover for pull bed on inside out and didn't fit. Broken appliances. No remote for TV in bedroom. No WiFi. Carpet torn. They will find any reason to keep your deposit. Dont stay.

I was due to stay with them from Tuesday through to Friday however, I cut my stay short and only stayed for a night. I may add this was not the plan at all, I have no sleep at this hotel due to the noise it was far to noisy and too hot! They do not have air conditioning! So if you wanted to stay awake due to the noise but be cool this is the place to stay!.

Appalling! Don’t bother booking, met a guest in the lift as we arrived warning us about the heat in the rooms and he wasn’t wrong! Wow! Hot, stuffy and no air con let alone a window which opened 2 inches! Windows we’re not well insulated despite previous reviews to say they are you hear all the noise! Came back around 1am, asked if we could buy water for the room and we’re told the bar was closed! 2 small hand style towels provided, no cover on the ironing board. Don’t waste your money staying here!

This is one of the noisiest hotels I’ve ever stayed at, bring ear plugs. The windows aren’t very sound proof so you can hear the clubs across the street going til 2am and the doors and walls aren’t very sound proof so you hear your neighbors quite well and everyone coming and going. Had to ask for pillows and it took hours to get them

My friends went and thought it was a lovely hotel so can’t fault them for the actual stay however, I tested positive for Covid-19 on the morning we were meant to fly out. We had already pre-paid our stay with this hotel so I rang straight away and spoke to the night team who told me they would be able to change the dates to January not a problem and to ring back at 9am to get this changed. When I rang back at 9 I got through to the sales team and explained what had happened, the girl said she would go and speak with the manager. Rather then the manager speaking with me herself she just told the girl to tell me no! After being told it would be okay to swap the dates to January which was actually £40 cheaper and I said they can keep the extra money I just want it changed this was obviously disappointing! I didn’t know I was going to catch Covid so couldn’t have prevented this happening especially working in a hospital and looking after sick patients but now I’ve lost £190 aswell as testing positive!

We stayed here as a couple for two nights on the weekend. The hotel is very well located in the city centre. With its central location comes the noise of all the bars and nightclubs around (we did underestimate this). There was noise all night from outside (till about 6.30 am on Sunday morning) and the bass from all the clubs around really cannot be underestimated. The room was slightly dirty when we came in (hairs in the shower, very dirty vent, stains on the carpet) and we only got one towel and no floor mat. The staff was friendly overall but really didn't seem too keen to react to our comments other than saying "sorry". Our mini bar fridge was broken and produced a lot of water which we detected on the second night only after returning from a day out and when it smelled really bad in the room. We take it that it's our fault that we didn't realise this hotel was right next to nightclubs but the rest of the hotel really isn't worth 265£ for two nights. Attached to the review you can find two videos: One with the window shut and one with the window open (because we wanted some fresh air - there is no A/C or vents). Videos were taken at 11PM on a Saturday night.

Awful customer service. Staff made an error with rooms and didn't even know the capacity of each room booked. Offered a bigger room at no extra charge, then tried to charge more the next morning. After being kept an hour by staff waiting to resolve the issue, and missing a pre-booked event, reassured by the duty manager after check out that no further charge would be made after confirming this was a hotel error. Deposit then kept by hotel with no communication this would be the case to "make up the shortfall". Poor communication, lying and underhand tactics to charge more money. Will reclaim the money through credit card company/booking.com. hopefully booking.com will remove these crooks from their site. I would recommend staying anywhere else - Liverpool is a great city, but I will never come back to this poor hotel.

We had a fantastic night away here to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The staff were fantastic in the lead up to it, ringing me to check on the birthday extras I could add such as balloons and a birthday slate. Also told me about the rooftop cocktail bar which was a fabulous surprise for my hubby. And reserving it for me. The waitress in Five was so nice and friendly. She couldn’t have done anymore for us. The rooftop views were amazing. Bed was super comfortable with a big widescreen TV. Cool and contemporary furnishing (gorgeous mustard chair that we wanted to take home :-) and nice bathroom. Nice late check out and breakfast when you’re ready in a nice funky restaurant. Definitely getting a ‘Cocktails & Dreams’ sign now! Staff absolutely brilliant and place was in a very central location. Cheap parking a few mins away.

Such an amazing costumer service, great location, perfect room service….., we contacted the reservation teams about our Situation as we were doing renovation in our house and we got no electricity or water in the house for about 10 days as well as I’m 37 week pregnant might give birth anytime and had to be somewhere near my husband work place which was just 2 min away from the hotel. The reservation team give us a very good price deal and we even extended our stay as I felt so comfortable and enjoying my last stages of pregnancy calm and walking to the city centre and Albert duck and attend to my favourite restaurants. really recommend it.

Lovely stay. Staff polite and professional. Partner loves an extra pillow and it was no issue delivering one while we were out. Enjoyed the breakfast at Masons. Great location. If we are in the area, we will stay again.

Lovely clean room, staff were really friendly and helpful throughout our stay, very central location which is great if you were staying for a night out. It was quite noisy on the Saturday night but that’s to be expected so can’t fault the hotel for that. Thank you for having us!

Stayed a few times recently. The hotel doesn't have air con unfortunately. Last two times there's been no hand towels and no bath floor towel. Partner charged for breakfast that I'd already paid for. Bathroom had some mould latest stay. Initially liked the place, but think I'll try somewhere else next time... Shame...

This is the second time we stayed here for me and my partner. 2 nights in Liverpool with great sleep even through the busy Paddy's night. Windows well insulated, clean room, located central to bars restaurant and shopping. All with walking distance to one another. Great value for price.

Checking in was a bit long but the room was clean and tidy my only complaint is I paid for a luxury king size room and never got one as I have stayed in one before on a previous visit - I did ask reception if it was a luxury king size room just to check if they had made a mistake. Only to be told all of the rooms are luxury king size room??? Apart from that we ended up staying in the hotel disco bar great night great staff and service

The novelty of having such a large TV with backing lights in the cinema room is really great. Otherwise it is nice although small, and there is a nightclub in the building, so can be very noisy.

Staff were more than helpful and friendly. Had amazing food for breakfast in the connected restaurant. Stylish and modern hotel facilities and rooms. Location brilliant, although amongst the night life sleept really well. heat was in 30's fan provided right away after asked for it. Was a nice added touch too when they added a bottle of procesco with our ordered anniversary chocolates which was on the house. Only criticism is balcony could have been cleaned but not huge problem. Overall really great hotel stayed in 2 other hotels on this street but this is the one we will return too and recommend to regular visiting family. Anthony

I gave this 5 for location although this was also my reason for the over drop of 1 star. A Friday night on Seel St is busy and lovely and can unfortunately be heard in the room too. I ask my wife to close the window fully to which she replied she already had. Otherwise a lovely place and nice spot to stay

Tough review to write so will break it down into good and bad. My wife and I stayed for one night, mid-week. Good: Friendly reception and service from Rebecca Secure storage area for bags/luggage while we shopped and room was being prepared Great location for shopping/restaurants/nightlife Included breakfast was great. Quality and selection of food was good. It is buffet style and available in the adjacent restaurant. Bed was comfortable. Bad: Rooms are way too hot. No HVAC. Weather was average (about 18 Celsius). Fan was provided but it only really pushes the warm air around the small room. This is a known and prevalent issue as previous reviews will attest. Ultimately a hotel experience is about the quality of sleep which places our stay as average.

Pro's: beds very comfy Rooms clean, modern and well furnished with a safe, big tv, fridge and iron and ironing board. Great value for money at only £48 a night! Cons: The rooms are like a furnace with no air conditioning and no fan provided. Open a window you ask? You can, but only by 1 inch and you cant open them anyway due to the noise from the night club opposite. The noise stopped at 04:30am but then bin trucks and road sweepers come through quite frequently. The hotel its self, cant fault, the location is less than ideal

My girlfriend and I stayed here over the August Bank Holiday weekend. We were a face towel short, and a shower towel for the bathroom floor short. My girlfriend had to clean the dusty surfaces, before we could use them and the shower didn't work. We complained. They gave us an additional bath towel instead of a face towel. They also took a 50.00 deposit, which hasn't been deposited back into my girlfriend's account to date. They said it would take two days. It was also quite expensive and we paid for a large room. This was not a large room.

Out of date room which stank of vomit. Lights were faulty as was the air con. No parking except a Q Park which cost quite a lot. Reception was a 5min walk which was poor when our door cards failed on day 1. Photo ID required on check in which I didn’t have and a £200 deposit which I was unaware of, now takes 10 days to get it back. 2 towels for 2 people only supplied and no hanger as it had been broken off the wall. Loud buzzing noise from the wall. Basically unpleasant and will not stay again.

The room decor was nice, the main downside of the room we stayed was that there was no air conditioning , it was very hot , the fan provided barely provided any cooling, the window can’t be fully opened making impossible to get a little breeze. The reception was useless when we asked to extend our stay. Overall we are not staying here again when visiting Liverpool. Also it’s been more then a month now and they never sent back my security deposit, even after emailing them ..

We booked hotel 18 months ago for 60th birthday celebrations. 12 rooms (double) secured with £50 deposit (£750). Arrived at hotel at 12pm. Cases booked into luggage room. Conversation had with reception about breakfast being included and rooms being available at 3pm which was all confirmed by reception staff. Turned up at 3pm told only one room available. Hotel’s offer £500 compensation (£25 a couple) and share rooms with 4 people. No negotiation. We called police as disgusted they were still checking people in. Upshot had to book another hotel for 24 people in 15 mins (why couldn’t hotel have done that) and if your savvy NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL. Solicitors will be instructed for breach of contract. Hotel if you delete this review I will keep reposting. Again repeat NEVER BOOK If want secured booking

Booked hotel for visit to city months before. They had lost our booking and were not interested in rectifying their mistake. Left to find another hotel on our own as no help offered. Appalling customer service.

Very clean and trendy hotel. Good service . Highly recommended. Close to everything. Comfortable bed . We will definitely come back to this hotel. Loved the roof top cocktail bar and the backyard. Masons cocktail bar was amazing.

No air conditioning in the room at all. Security on the door won't allow any friends up to your room, only the amount that has been booked for so we couldn't use the room for drinks before or after the night. It's a smart hotel but you have no real freedom like most hotels.

Stayed with EPIC so many times over the last few years and really cant say enough good about them! They are always so kind and helpful with arranging extras for our stays and makes life SO much easier! A stone throw into town and great that they have a discount with Q park as felt really safe leaving our car there!

Stayed in a two bedroom apartment and have to say this is a terrible place to say. Apartment was big and tidy. Decor was bog standard and a lil depressing. The light above the dinning room table was missing, the ironing board was broke, there was a slight leak from room above, apparently the 1 of the boilers was broke so rainfall showers were not enjoyable and the noise from the bars was alot to deal with especially if you have young kids (it's loud). For the price it's not worth the money. It looks the part but way of the mark of making your stay epic. I won't mention names but there are apartments just round the corner that make this place look ordinary. Won't be staying again. Having said that it's right in the heart of city and could be ideal for groups looking to enjoy the nightlife.

Booked a stay arranged by Hannah and everything was spot on. Big room with a gorgeous view of the city and radio city tower (room 501) and 24/7 access to the gym. Really good location too!

Fantastic hotel central for everything, room we had was spacious with lovely decor. My only complaint was the room was dark and could do with some brighter lights. Would definitely stay again

The worst place to stay. Booked a large double room, we ended up with tow single beds pushed together, two single mattresses and two single duvets. Staff are unfriendly, unhelpful, and at times rude. One pillow on each single bed, no kitchen area as promised. I would tell anyone not to stay here.

  • 1/5 Joyce J. 2 years ago on Google
Staff not at all friendly, had to ask for everything for room, towels, toilet rolls, coffee etc.the service in the so called restaurant was shocking not organised at all reported hand gel needed filled up not done the 4days we stayed.caters more for young guests not for coach parties.music very loud when ur in the restaurant.

If you want a hotel that is disorganised, noisy and the rooms are boiling hot then this is the place for you. The only positive I can say was that the TV worked. A long queue for check in, lots of staff just standing around chatting and if you stay for more than 1 night it's unlikely your room will be cleaned as you have to leave a card out to notify the maid service but we had no card. The city is incredible so this was the only reason we didn't leave. Lots of apologies when we left but no excuse for poor service and no point offering a fan to circulate hot air. Final note this hotel has a function area which has daily hen/stag drinking parties so the noise is thumping out from midday to the early hours. Plus there's several really noisy clubs opposite so just be prepared to get very little sleep!

Had quite the experience when checking in. A large group of older people were making a scene jumping around and disturbing the check in. However the staff was trying their best to help us and eventually managed to check us in. They later approached us asking if we wanted a couple of cocktails or Prosecco to our room. Came back from dinner and enjoyed a cold Prosecco waiting for us in our room. Lovely room and lovely staff. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel and staff were great.. but was the noisiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in.. had to put my earphones in to get any sleep. If your after a party hotel around nightclubs it’s great.. if you actually want any sleep before 3am, avoid. Also the rooms are very dark so difficult to do makeup 😂

We stayed as part of a luxury package purchased quite some time ago through secret Escapes for 4 friends. It was an offer but with lots of enticing features and treats. On arrival we had a long wait at reception and then once checked in later we didnt get any of the features or treats we had paid for I.e. bottle of prosecco on arrival, fully stocked mini bar, dressing gowns and slippers etc. We also had the smallest room in the hotel which was even described by their main receptionist as the worst hotel room she'd ever seen. We'd have been better off in a travelodge premier inn. Further disappointment in that the hotel have failed to deal with an honest and legitimate complaint. they have chosen to ignore our feedback and I am thoroughly disappointed in their customer service or lack of. I wouldn't visit here again.

My Friend and I had booked this hotel near the end of December. Changed our minds about accommodation, so requested for a refund. Unfortunately they couldn't corporate and give back anything regardless of cancelling days in advance. A bit silly in my opinion as most hotels and accommodations have a full refund policy. Had to pay £260 for no reason, in a room we had not even stayes in. Gutted.

Would have given 0 if possible. Our party travelled up from London for the weekend. Booked two years ago with deposit. When we arrived they found our booking then offered to look after our bags because our rooms would not be ready for a couple of hours which we knew. When we arrived back they then said they could not now find our booking although they were looking after our cases. But somehow found the deposit? They offered no help to us to find alternative accommodation and called the police as we refused to leave until they helped us. Luckily we managed to find accommodation ourselves not easy when there is 28 of you, to save the weekend. They then took the full amount of our stay the next morning from our lead name saying we were a no show. Very very poor customer service, extremely rude and unhelpful. Avoid if you can.
