Me and my family went for what we thought would be a lovely meal but the food didn’t even show. We were sat waiting for over an hour and when I eventually asked the staff where our food was I was told that they hadn’t even started cooking it yet because the order wasn’t taken to the kitchen. The staff were rude and not helpful and the manager didn’t have much to say for himself. We wasn’t offered a voucher or anything and all we got was “ sorry about that” and given a refund. Absolutely awful customer service. Will not be returning to this EVER place again. The place was also hectic with not enough staff, they didn’t even have enough glasses to give a group of lads a beer. Just ridiculous.

It's a premier Inn so you know what you are getting. The rooms are comfy and clean. You get a bath and shower over head, tea and coffee facilities in your room and a flatscreen TV on the wall. Also a nice touch is the USB plug in to connect to the TV. Also FREE WiFi which is great. There is an upgraded version to pay for but we managed fine on free version for things like Netflix and YouTube. This hotel is an ideal location for visiting Chester Zoo and Blue Planet Aquarium. Both are like a 10-15 minute drive away. We are a party of 5 so asked for 2 rooms with interconnecting doors which was available and Mellissa on reception was happy to arrange for us when we booked. The only real downside, and it's something you get at a lot of hotels is you hear people walking about and banging above you. At times the ceiling feels paper thin as you know people are just walking but it can be very loud, and can wake you up if someone above gets up to use the toilet late. We also had a noisy ventilation fan that would have disrupted our sleep but managed to switch it off by lifting a ceiling panel. The staff were great and really helpful when sorting our interconnecting rooms and polite and friendly on check in.

Clean and tidy if a little dated, lovely staff and a good location for Chester Liverpool etc. However I would avoid the restaurant attached food did not look great the table next to us advised us to leave as the food was not great and half of the menu was not avalable, the service was not great either we left before eating

Arrogant and rude was told to wait outside on arrival at 2:45 didn't even check to see if there was rooms available. also treated disabled man in wheelchair in front of me the same.. in 9 years of using Premier Inn this was the worst behaviour ever.( Melissa don't take your bad day out on customers )

The rooms were incredibly dated, dirty and worn. Grout and silicone missing on the bath. The desk in the room was actually burned and melted (room 303!). The bed sheets had a hole on the sheets. Paint was flaking and dirty in the rooms. Like I say, very very tired room. The smell of cigarette smoke was absolutely overwhelming in the bedroom, wafting up from downstairs. Lots of smokers all around the hotel smoking right outside bedroom windows. When will hotels learn not to have a non smoking policy on their land! Good location and central (10 mins away from most places), and nice garden centre next door to wander around for an hour. The Brewers Fayre next door was nice and friendly when you eventually caught a staff member, as they were incredibly understaffed. And the restaurant itself was absolutely red hot with no breeze or air con or anything. Will definitely try a different hotel next time. As very disappointing and an expensive stay for a Premier Inn with all these faults (£240 for 2 nights)...

Came as a family group, All the staff were amazing. Lovely clean bright hotel. Food was lovely and there was plenty of it. Nothing was too much trouble for ANY of the staff and they went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. The bed was super comfy. A massive thankyou for looking after us all. We will absolutely be coming to stay again.

Welcoming staff at reception, Melissa greeted us and checked us in easily. We had paid for Breakfast so we were offered to book a slot for breakfast to avoid disappointment. Which was done for us before going to our room. The premier in is in a Great Location, set back off the road, so no traffic noise. It’s close to Chester Zoo and the park and ride into Chester. Clean & spacious rooms. Tea and coffee limited in rooms but you can ask for anything you need at reception and it’s accommodated. I would fully recommend.

Why I am leaving such a poor star rating is because, like most Premier Inn, they offer the benefits of eating local. The Burleydam Brewers Fair. So I took up the deal to have evening meal with them. Both times the service was bad, the food was cold. Now, you may point out that Premier Inn do not run the pub, and you're right, however they do have a good contribution to the customers eating there. So if anyone from Premier Inn reads this, the restaurant is letting you down and giving this otherwise good hotel a bad reputation.

Room was ok, bath had hairs in it. Food was diabolical, waited 2 hours for the main meal, 45 just to get a drink, shocking service, full English breakfast arrived cold and the eggs wernt even cooked. Wouldn't recommend

I stay in a lot of Premier Inns for work and this is probably one that needs a bit of money spent on it. No aircon in room, you can hear other rooms "movements" and overall just a bit tatty compared to others. Service was brilliant though, staff are friendly and attentive. Again, as like the pub next door, let down by the environment rather than the staff.

Room nice and clean. Very comfy bed. Heating/air conditioning not working. Very kind member of staff brought us a fan. Didn't make much difference to be honest but she did try. Free WiFi is just a joke. Worked for about 5mins. Member of staff gave us a code for the ultra WiFi which you normally pay for, well it still didn't work. Not really very good these days to have no WiFi. They really need to fix it.

One of the best Premier Inn locations I've stayed at (stayed at a fair few). Lovely rooms, quiet and very very clean. Anne on reception is absolutely lovely, even remembered my other halves name after hours. An absolute asset to Premier Inn

Lovely premier inn, the reception was clean and tidy and I was greeted promptly on arrival with no trouble checking in which was fine swiftly, and I was asked to register my car to avoid any parking charges. The room was spacious and comfortable with well stocked tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was lovely and I got a great sleep I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

A lovely little premier inn set back off the road. We checked in on Tuesday and had the most miserable of staff possible, clearly didn’t want to be there. No interaction, no customer service, however the staff member on Wednesday and Thursday really made us smile. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area, train stations, bus routes into and out of Liverpool. We had room 210 it was at the end of the corridor, quiet and cool. We had no air conditioning but we did have a fan. Breakfast was cooked to order and very hot. We didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening. Highly recommend hotel.

Room was clean but small compared to other premier inns. Nice view of someone's lovely garden & hot tub. Reception staff Anne & the others were the friendliest I've encountered & I'm a premier Inn coniseur. Saw a few weird bugs in the toilet after flushing. Must be a Chester thing as the only other time I've ever seen them was on the lazy boat ride at Chester Zoo where one came out for a few seconds then went back into a crack in the boat's rotten wood. They must be getting into the hotel's flushing system. Handsome, bearded waiters in the restaurant were very efficient. Food was good. Second night very busy was let down by barmaid with pink & blue hair. Queued up for ages, spent £20 on cocktails which she said she'd make straight away & have brought to our table. Half an hour later had to return to find she hadn't even made them! She said she'd been really busy with a queue. Yes love, we were in it. You have to make people's drinks in order. She was new & had to refer to a notebook for how to make them. I carried them to our table. More than a whole tumbler of ice between the four cocktails after we'd drunk them on a hot day. That's expensive ice. Location was good. Easy to get to the fantastic zoo. Need leaflets on it in reception. Also recommend the Sick to Death Museum in Chester - very interactive & educational. Plenty of good walks near it & historical buildings, city walls, River boat rides, paddle boarding, peddelos, motor boats, brass bands, restaurants & ice-cream kiosks, art sellers, good shops, etc.

Excellent. Lovely room on ground floor. Really comfy bed and nice easy to work shower. Very helpful staff on reception. Only slight downer was that you had to go out of doors to get to the Brewer's Fayre for food.

Had a fantastic breakfast, great value for money! Our first visit to a Brewer’s Fayre . We will certainly go back when visiting family. Now looking for one closer to home.

Waited ages for our food even though it wasnt that busy. Food was poor. Cold chips, quite dry. Men wondering around and sitting out the back swigging from cans of lager. Really gone down hill. Sad really as it used to be great years ago.

First time stay in this Premier Inn. Convenient location for both Chester & Liverpool. No air conditioning & opened window at night but couldn’t hear any traffic. Very steep staircase to 1st floor. Very friendly Receptionist & staff. Had & enjoyed breakfast next door.

I regularly use Premier Inn when travelling on business and I normally enjoy the stay, in this instance I was left disappointed The hotel staff were very nice and tentative but the floor was up in reception and the shower was freezing cold in the morning, would not get hot at all. The evening meal was a mixed bag. The food was amazing but I was left sitting waiting for around 40 minutes when I arrived as the waitress didnt actually tell me I needed to go up to the counter to order food. The breafast was a world apart from the evening, happy staff and gorgeous food Unfortunately, I wont be using this Premier in again It felt like Managment consistency was lacking

Looked rather tired and like it really could do with a face lift. The rooms were OK, reasonably clean, however we were cited opposite the brewers fayre back door and on the path to reception, so we got noise evening and an awful lot first thing. The staff were pushy to get us to book evening meal and breakfast in their brewers fayre. We went over to it for dinner in the evening and it was absolutely awful, hence we recieved a refund and cancelled breakfast! It's an easy sum up of we wouldn't visit this Premier Inn again!

Hotel was great as I’ve always experienced with Premier Inn. The pub/restaurant attached was great value but the best thing about it for me was every single member of staff we encountered there. Each and every one of them were welcoming, friendly and so helpful. You have a fantastic bunch of people working there who really made our short stay enjoyable. I would definitely use this one again.

The hotel was clean and tidy my only complaint is both Saturday and Sunday night the brewers fare next door could give us a table to eat as they said they were fully booked. Can't believe this could happen with a hotel next door we had nothing to eat Saturday night there is nothing nearby. next time will stay somewhere a little more accomodating

Lovely room, comfortable bed, bathroom with a bath, yes!! Only downside was the steep stairs up to our floor. Would stay again but would ask for a ground floor room. Would recommend

Up to the usual excellent Premier Inn Standards. Rooms clean and comfortable, reception staff friendly and professional.

Nice clean rooms but no house keeping during your stay, so toilet rolls and soap isn't replenished if you are there for a few days or more.

Strange hidden away entrance! Great staff and accommodation as you would expect. Plenty of parking and a prebookable Brewers Fayre on site offering a great breakfast.
