Great area, we expected some noise from the restaurants, but didn't hear anything at all so that was a bonus. Needed a hair dryer and ironing board, which we asked for from reception and they were very quick in providing us with this. Would definitely stay again.

If you've read some of the reviews and are wondering "should I or shouldn't I?", let me tell you...NO! Avoid this hotel its as basic as it gets, the rooms are sparce, the TV is 19" with a remote that has a teletext button, the bed is uncomfy and the place lacks any form of character. If you're here for the breakfast its a take away box as there is no restaurant. Its just about reasonable for 1 night if you're here to eat at the restaurants (Zizzi, Miller and Carter etc...etc..), otherwise don't bother.

A decent hotel in a handy location… We’ve stayed here 3 or 4 times now and always had a straightforward stay, it’s always easy and quick to get checked in - this time we were checked in by Joe, a very friendly guy who gave us plenty of helpful information, was very conversational and got us checked in nice and quickly. Our room was small but functional, the bathroom was very small and felt like the toilet was crammed in the corner and the shower wasn’t the best but for the sake of one night it was manageable. The bed was very firm, my partner described it as a prison bed (not sure how she’d know, she’s even never had so much as a telling off by the police), I found the bed itself not that bad, the kicker for me was the pillow which was solid, luckily we brought a couple pillows of our own which were a big help. The parking here is brilliant, there’s free parking all around the hotel and you’ll never struggle to find a parking space. The hotel is also within a stone’s throw of multiple restaurants and the designer outlet; Cheshire Oaks. Speaking of Cheshire Oaks, if you go to the guest services within Cheshire Oaks with the cardboard surround that your room key comes in, you’ll get a discount card for 10% off full price items in most of the shops, we used it and it was brilliant. Overall, a good hotel if you’re looking to do some shopping and not have to stress about parking.

Brilliant place to stay while shopping around the area! Love the updated rooms! Usb sockets now by the bedsides. Bonus for charging mobiles.

Great location right behind cheshire oaks and on the coliseum retail park, had everything you need for a day away. plenty of parking that you can use during your stay & where you eat. You can't eat in the travel lodge as there is no restaurant but ghete are eateries numerous literally on the same site. The receptionist was lovely & so friendly, I can't remember her name sadly. The room was clean, bed was comfy, tea/ coffee making facilities, warm as you could adjust the heater in the room, & TV. fluffy white towels provided.

Very clean and tidy, although we had a room which apparently was the premium option on the top floor, there were a few defects which needed attention.

We stay here at least once a year when we visit Cheshire Oaks Outlet. Upgraded to top floor this time. It was quiet, smallish room but clean and comfortable. Staff are all pleasant and helpful, special mention for the cleaner who was excellent. There are restaurants very close by. A good, cheap place to stay and recover from all the bargain hunting. We feel refreshed for travelling home the next day.

Lovely stay for the Christmas markets, shopping and cinema. Comfy and warm rooms, ideal to save traveling home and seeing a late movie. Staff member on reception was very friendly. Cute poster on the wall and nice little view of the wheel and Christmas tree.

Stayed here for 3 nights for the christmas markets & chester zoo. Clean rooms & spacious. Only downside was not having any drawers for clothes but had hanging storage. Fantastic location with ample parking. Lots of restuarants nearby which offer 10% discount if you are able to prove you are staying at the travel lodge. Walking distance to the designer outlet. Only short drive to Chester zoo and the park & ride. Will definitely stay again. Really reasonably priced.

Stayed for two nights over black Friday.Rooms are quite small but nice ,warm and cosy.Dropped one star on the room as there is limited off floor storage ,no drawers and wardrobe space was seven hangers on an open to the room rail.

The only problem The hotel doesn't do food but there are plenty of eateries around it especially for breakfast that's the only thing could complain about

No hairdryer in room but available from reception. Lavazza coffee machine in room with extra pods and milk given on request. Breakfast not available but numerous options available within walking distance. Great value.

Reception staff were brilliant. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. So helpful giving us information about places to visit too. The hotel is in a perfect location with everything on your doorstep, whether it be somewhere to eat or shopping. All in all we had a brilliant stay and will definitely be back

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way from the south of England to a holiday in Scotland and visited Chester Zoo during our stay. The hotel was easy to find, although it was not entirely obvious that we had to drive around the block to get to the free car park, which is verylarge, particularlyat thebackofthehotel. Our room was very comfortable and quiet with the window shut. The parking area at the front of the hotel is also used by people dinning in the many nearby restaurants. There is a good variety of these, including, Hungry Horse, Zizi, Prezzo, Iguana and Frankie & Berry. We ate in Iguana and Frankie & Berry on successive nights and had breakfast in Hungry Horse each morning. We would probably stay in this hotel if we visit the area again.

If your looking for cinema and food. Can't fault it. Shower great temperature poor pressure. Room cards are temperamental. Sockets have usb ports. Noise and vibration from upstairs annoying.

We stayed here for 3 nights, one of our party uses a wheelchair so they had an accessible room. All our rooms were clean & well presented, coffee/tea making facilities, usb charger points next to the beds & a well placed TV. The showers had lots of pressure & were nice & hot. The accessible room has wider access throughout, bathroom has lots of hand rails, a seat in the wetroom/shower & was easy to use. There is also an emergency button next to the bed. The staff were very helpful, polite & offered extra advice on amenities in the surrounding shopping areas etc, nothing was too much trouble. Great value that's close to loads of restaurants, shops, Cheshire zoo & less than 15min drive into the centre of Cheshire. We would definitely stay here again.
