Rooms are nice enough. But a bit of a walk to shops and restaurants.

We picked codes up from Mountford hotel. The staff were friendly, on arriving at grove suites I phoned to check we could park on property as gates closed and nothing to say we could. We got are bags together and entered the building ... Smelt very musky we started the climb to our suite ... 3rd floor. We typed in code and into our attic room we walked. It was acceptable had a small bathroom, drawers, wardrobe, 2 creaky single beds and a fridge with broken mini freezer door. Also fridge had been turned off and freezer had defrosted ! We had a few tea bags and coffee sachets. I went into the kitchen needed a good clean all surfaces and chopping board which made me think plates etc needed a wash before use :( We paid £84 for 2 nights for a room .. beds were uncomfy, best thing was the shower !

Very disapointing would never recommend or stay again £85 what a joke. The entrance smelt like a nursing home our room smelt of smoke and clearly states no smoking. The shower was broken there was wallpaper hanging off the wardrobe was broken there was dirty tissues at the side of the bed...I could go on. This is the only bad review I have ever had to write.

This place is clean and it's a roof over your head. Apart from that it is all very old and a bit tired. The look is not as nice as the pictures. It's also layed out like an HMO so the toilet is unusable without hitting your head on the bathroom sink or scratching the toilet roll holder. As it's managed from a different hotel it feels very remote and unsafe as the door just has a code which everyone gets given and the door doesn't close automatically so got left open a lot when we stayed.

Sorry to say it gets 1 star as this is a minimum you can give. The place is disgusting unsafe and unfit for purpose. We removed ourselfs from the place as it was unfit to sleep in. Environment of health will be called on this place! Would say avoid like the plague but your likey to catch the plague staying here!

September 2023 the room was freezing from when we booked in until we checked out. The central heating works of a main boiler and was switched off and the reception played like they did not understand the problem. Met other guests who complained that their room was cold and had mould growing on one of the wall. Our room was dusty. The bathroom was tiny
