Stayed here for 2 nights with my 8 year old daughter. From the moment we arrived the staff were very welcoming. The room was amazing, very clean and spacious, felt like coming from home to home. The garden outside of our room was beautiful and well kept. The staff were lovely, so kind, warm and welcoming. A special thank you to Matt and Suzy for being so kind to my 8 year old daughter, she loves you both and will never forget you guys. Definitely reccomend here to stay 10 out of 10 from us

We were there for a private party (on a Friday) providing live music. The accommodation was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful but we were advised, which was fair enough, that they are required to keep the noise down at 11pm. That worked fine for us but maybe critical in other cases. The buffet was good, nothing elaborate but simple and tasty. All in all a great venue.

A warm welcome from a young polite man. A clean standard room, for one night stay. Full English breakfast which was delicious. I recommend this accommodation. A nice area and not far from ferry.

Gave 4 stars for room as for me personally the bed was a bit soft, which others I'm sure would love. Really friendly service on arrival and was offered for my luggage to be taken to my room, as this was on top floor and no lifts are avaliable. The staff told me how good their breakfasts are, so I gave it a try. The breakfeast was very good, high quality produce, bowls of druit such as strawberries, cherries, raspberries etc laid put as well which was very nice. The second day the service was not as good as before, the coffee was very weak and no bowls of fruit, and no one on hand to speak to. I would stay here again

Great Sunday lunch, we didn't book but there was a table available. Really friendly staff, great prices and great choice in the menu. Complimentary bread and olives and a free bottle of wine. 2 Sunday lunches( that were really tasty) and a pot of tea, with the free wine came to less than £40.

Well-appointed and very clean, spacious rooms. Friendly staff and a wonderful breakfast. Plenty of car parking and a lovely, well-maintained garden for food and drinks. Very reasonably priced - would recommend.

I’m called by here for a drink in the sunshine. I’ve never been in before but it looked nice from the outside and the gardens looked like they had new furniture this year and a recent painting on the exterior. I was glad I stopped by. The young girl in the bar seemed friendly and the drinks were reasonable. We didn’t eat the food here because we’d already eaten and it wasn’t lunch or dinner time but I might try it next time I’m passing.

Location is a inky 2mins off M53 and Hooton Train station (15min on foot). Perfect base for Exploring Wirral, Liverpool, Cheshire Oaks and/or Chester Lovely function room with brilliant outdoor space.

Attended a function at the Woodcote and was well impressed with the function room and with the service from the staff when delivering the meals. It was a large party 60+ and the kitchen is to be congratulated on getting every one served with such good quality food and service. Since attending the function I have stayed over at the Woodcote, the occasion was my wife's birthday and her sister and husband drove up from Devon. Could not fault the food or the stay great room spacious clean tidy and well appointed bathroom with a good shower. Highly recommend the breakfast freshly prepared

The lady who checks us in, helped us while we were there and served our breakfast was fantastic! She was kind, helpful and so pleasant. My friend and I traveling together each got our own room. The rooms are very generous size! With no AC however, they are very stuffy, there are no fans. We called and they were kind enough to bring fans which we were grateful for. It feels like that wasn't something we should have to ask for though. Neither of our TV's had any channels come in. My toilet had toilet paper stuck to the side that did not go down when the toilet was flushed. So was it cleaned? It seems a bit gross. Then I saw something on the floor. I say it's a leaf, but I don't really want to know. The cleanliness left something to be desired. The rooms although huge, feel substandard. Our keys were skeleton keys! For real!

We stayed here recently, 3 generations of girls and all can only praise the hotel. The location was perfect for what we needed. The staff are wonderful and friendly, always stopping to chat. Food is superb and the beer garden & atmosphere was the perfect tonic after a long drive. We've already booked to stay again in August. The value is outstanding .

Just a one night stay for an event we were attending. Room was comfy and reasonably quiet (noise was people walking above). Lovely evening meal and the breakfast was a fab start to the following day!

Hotel, bar and restaurant located close to the M53 so handy for those travelling past. I visited for a private party in the function room which is a nice size for small to medium family parties. There is an outside patio & garden area which was lovely to use while the sun was out. Buffet food was good quality and fresh although portions were a little small. Car park was very busy and so I was unable to find a space in the car park, ended up parking further up the road in a neighbouring business that is closed at the weekend. Overall a nice venue which has benefited of a recent refurb

Can't comment on accomodation since we didn't stay here but had breakfast here and very impressed with food and service. Good quality and plenty of choice. Liked the fact that cereal juice yoghurt tea coffee etc. was all available to have in the cooked breakdast price. Overall very impressed so give it a try, you won't be dissapointed

It was a sad occasion after a funeral when I visited. The facilities provided were excellent . The food was varied and well laid out. The service was good and the staff friendly and helpful.

The Woodcote is a modernised hotel in a convenient location, close to M53 and also close to Hooton railway station. I live nearby, so I don't need to stay there, but I do treat myself to a walk-in breakfast every week or so. The breakfast room is clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful, particularly Barbara, who is often on duty when I visit. The breakfasts are very good value for money and freshly cooked, unlike the pre-cooked and over-priced food in the local garden centres! I recommend you give the Woodcote a try.

We celebrated my mums 80th birthday here on Saturday eve, from our initial enquiries to the breakfast the next morning the service was excellent. To my shame I only have Laura’s name but the staff on Saturday evening couldn’t have done more. We had a 2 year old with us who is poorly with food allergies and the chef came out to see us and told us he would ‘feed’ him, he even gave us a choice of menus he was able to prepare for him, ( so kind, thank you) he made gluten free fish and chips especially for him which went such a long way. Some family stayed over and said their rooms were beautiful and comfortable. All in all a great night

What a lovely hotel. Stayed the night whilst celebrating a wedding locally. We had dinner in the restaurant before heading out and the food was beautiful, genuinely one of the best burgers I've ever had. My partner had the pan fried chicken which was also lovely. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was furnished really nicely. Our room was in an annex across the car park and it was large and we'll furnished. The bathroom was huge with both a bath and a shower (although a very very minor mark of not having toiletries the one time I forgot to bring my own). As we were checking out the next day they were setting up for a 50th bday party in a event room so we took a peek. The room was huge and again beautifully decorated with a large bar of its own - it looked great. A thoroughly enjoyable and great value stay!

Lovely room, we had a suite, very spacious and the bathroom was really nice! Only downside was that we asked for a fan three times, we didn't get one - nor did staff tell us if they had one or not so it felt like they ignored us and didn't check. I know they were busy with the weddings but all they had to do was say sorry we don't have one etc. It meant that our windows were open both nights, both nights there were weddings (one of which we attended) but it did mean lots of noise from merry guests so we didn't sleep until 1.30am. It also meant that I was woken up at 6am both mornings by the very energetic rooster nearby - obviously the hotel can't control a rooster but if we had been given a fan our window could have been closed and we would have had better sleep. Had we had better sleep it would have been 5*

I was recently here for a summer wedding, the food, drink and staff are top notch. Our room was lovely too. The best part for me was the outside seating area, lots of shade but lots of sun too. Can't wait to come back to have a few meals here.

As always a very comfortable stay. Have been using this unassuming hotel for about seven years now. The excellent food served in the restaurant deserves a particular mention, fantastic value for money all round.

Visited 24th February for our Niece's wedding and what a day and night we had, absolutely amazing. From food to staff to efficiency to sweet little cottages to stay over the whole event was just perfect. To finish off the following morning a good English breakfast with lots of coffee was plentiful and hot. A five star score from us and a massive big thank you for all the hard work that went into Michael and Katrinas special and very memorable day.you surpassed all our expectations and should be so proud if your whole team who gave it their all to make this day the best it could possibly be. Thank you.

We booked to stay here for my husband's special birthday and our room was upgraded to a suite and it was perfect. Spotlessly clean, really spacious and just a lovely room. Lovely comfy seating area and one of the comfiest hotel beds I have ever slept in.

Avoid this place at all costs, if your seduced by its low priced rooms please realise why. The rooms are all low rate, peeling wallpaper, cracked paintwork, cracked bathroom floor tiles. The beds are at lest 10 year plus old.... Mattresses and duvets urine stained...if its budget your after well this is the place

The main reason Im giving it five stars is because the rooms are genuinly awesome. We arrived at half 11 at night an hour and half after check in and still the staff came out to check me in. The bathroom is way better than a travel lodge bathroom and the bed way comfier. Would recommend this place 100%

I didn't stay at the hotel. However, despite having staff training the ladies that helped with directions went above and beyond helping me out. I just wanted to repay the kindness!

😠 I would recommend avoiding this place and going somewhere else. We ordered 2 mixed grills, both were missing mushrooms one was missing a pork steak which was substituted with chicken and the other one had a pork steak which was infact a thick piece of bacon. The lamb chop wasn't even cooked and when...
