Our
first
visit
today
(sunday
10amish).
The
main
carpark
was
closed
so
we
parked
on
a
nearby
Osler
street.
It
takes
about
45mins
to
walk
around
the
reservoir
at
a
gentle
pace.
There
is
a
short
section
which
takes
you
through
a
really
lovely
wooded
glade
with
loads
of
blackbirds
and
robins
singing.
A
welcome
escape
from
the
city
landgulls
and
pigeons.
The
path
is
smooth
and
even,
so
would
be
good
for
pushchairs
and
wheelchairs.
No
steps
to
navigate
and
only
a
couple
of
inclines.
Plenty
of
benches,
dog
waste
bins
and
life
saving
buoyancy
aids.
Hardly
any
litter
which
was
impressive.
Lots
of
walkers,
joggers,
runners
and
a
few
cyclists.
Everyone
was
using
the
path
with
care
of
each
other,
you
didn't
feel
like
you
were
going
to
be
mown
down.
The
moorhens
were
busy
with
their
chicks,
several
swans
but
no
sign
of
cygnets,
and
pleasingly,
very
few
pigeons!
Sailers
and
rowers
enjoying
the
water.
A
really
lovely
green
escape
from
the
city!
