Our first visit today (sunday 10amish). The main carpark was closed so we parked on a nearby Osler street. It takes about 45mins to walk around the reservoir at a gentle pace. There is a short section which takes you through a really lovely wooded glade with loads of blackbirds and robins singing. A welcome escape from the city landgulls and pigeons. The path is smooth and even, so would be good for pushchairs and wheelchairs. No steps to navigate and only a couple of inclines. Plenty of benches, dog waste bins and life saving buoyancy aids. Hardly any litter which was impressive. Lots of walkers, joggers, runners and a few cyclists. Everyone was using the path with care of each other, you didn't feel like you were going to be mown down. The moorhens were busy with their chicks, several swans but no sign of cygnets, and pleasingly, very few pigeons! Sailers and rowers enjoying the water. A really lovely green escape from the city!

A beautiful day to spend some quality time amidst nature at the Edgbaston Reservoir. The sail boats were just coming out and the sky was sparkling blue reflecting on the shimmering water!

Beautiful place, it’s lovely if you want to go for a walk. Especially during the night, it’s very pretty with the lights overshadowing the water. It’s nice and peaceful. However it’s probably not best to go alone there during the night. It’s beautiful when it’s foggy weather too. A hidden gem.

Edgbaston Reservoir, enjoy a stroll here it's very relaxing, it can get busy, even more so on sunny days, some people sail out on the reservoir, they have a outdoor exercise area.

Edgbaston Reservoir is a haven of peace and tranquility a stone's throw from the centre of Birmingham. When we walked around it at sunset, there were many birds on the water, and constant bird calls - ducks, moorhens, gulls, geese...it felt very relaxing. The only thing that let it down slightly were the few areas around the outskirts of the reservoir covered in graffiti or litter. Not the prettiest pathway to walk round; but keep looking across the water - that's the prettiest view!

Lovely walk around the reservoir (approx 2.5km). Muddy in places but suitable for a pram for the majority. Rowing/sailing club using the water also. Ducks/swans there which the kids fed. Car park closed long term so have to park on the road. Run Birmingham do a free run round the reservoir on a sunday morning. My husband was attending this.

Tower Ballroom has been demolished but they reopened the path outside. So a full walk around the reservoir is possible again. Some shortcuts to the main path other than the Reservoir Road main entrance.

Great for walks and runs. I think it's about 2.5km all the way round. Great scenes each part of the trail. No decent grass areas though

It's one of my favourite places to go for a stroll. It's a chilled out place with lots of birds, people sailing on the reservoir, cyclists, joggers and other walkers. If you are looking for somewhere in the city to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle of city living then this is a great place to recharge your batteries.

Lovely place to walk around. Waters very dirty for the ducks, swans to be swimming in! It could do with a clean. They need a few more benches around. Overall, i did enjoy my walk, the sun was shining!

I go here for walks, place seems safe friendly, footpath has been resurfaced a few years ago and is not muddy like before, do miss the car parking area by reservoir road entrance, as it made accessibility better for wheelchair access

Although the weather was good and the paths were fine we were disappointed by the persistent unpleasant sometimes nauseating smells. Our first and last visit this year.

Serene surroundings around a water body right in the middle of the hubbub of Birmingham. Peaceful and quiet walk in the afternoon to relax yourself. People living around get this small Heven to bring their loved ones little children and babies too for a nature walk. Apart from activities like sail and Boat Club , you can try angling! There are a few swans along with the ducks for nature lovers
