This is a really interesting building to shop in - historied and characterful! The range of products on offer is really good, the prices are competitive, and I know that they host gaming sessions upstairs too. All good. The service, though, takes this down to a 4-star review for me. I've had occasions when the welcome/communication from behind the till has been pleasant/fine, others when it's been quite grumpy and uncomfortable; and others when it's strangely been a mix of both on the same visit. I say that constructively, in the hopes that the owner/s and staff can get this last box ticked, because then they'll probably win me over as a customer who chooses to visit this shop over any of the other local independent hobby/wargaming competitors that have now established themselves - and I know I'm speaking for friends of mine who feel the same way.

This is a brilliant shop! Stocks loads of Games Workshop, Vallejo paints, Star Wars games, historic miniatures, Marvel Crisis Protocol... You name it. Also often cheaper than your local GW/Warhammer shop and gives good advice. Gaming tables upstairs (when we're allowed to play again)

Great little store packed full of hobby treats… 3 min from the motorway, loads of parking, helpful chap behind the counter, hobby space upstairs..

Great selection of minis and games considering the size of the place. Owner very helpful. Not cheap but made up for this with the service and it's a great spot well out of the way.

I placed my first online order earlier this week. The box arrived quickly. Whoever was dealing with my big paint order did exceptional job, not only well packed but also took an extra effort to mark all the little boxes to make my life easier. You don't see that kind of commitment nowadays so thank you :)

War game store has been one of the best shops for warhammer ever. They stock everything i need and more. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this shop to any one as they wont be disappointed on the megga stock this shop has.

Good store, if a little cramped to navigate due to the amount of stuff in it. Majority of the stock now seems to be GW products rather than the wider range they previously carried.

Fantastic choice of painting equipment. Great range of games and figure. Superb help from all the staff. A must if you're a modeller or wargamer.

Love coming down the store, really friendly and helpful. I was overwhelmed by the amount of Bolt Action kits and paints on the market but these guys helped me through everything, definitely worth the travel!

This is a great store with good variety and plenty of stock and the majority of stock is discounted from RRP, with even better pre-order deals. The deliveries are always quick and staff are always very helpful and informative if you have any questions, I shop here for all Warhammer products now and I can't fault the service.

Over here on holiday, easily the best-stocked store we've been to in our two weeks here. Owner was friendly and helpful. Will stop by again if we come back to the area.

Great place to get your wargame related items, from Warhammer to perry miniatures, from Marvel to Warlord Games. Also the store has a wide range of paints and terrian items with friendly helpful staff.

Nice staff, good place to play. Really friendly people and has a good selection of AoS, 40k and Xwing (amongst others). Paint stock is good, with wide ranges.
