Great aquatics shop. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and haven't failed to answer any aquatics questions I've thrown at them so far. Good selection of fish, in spacious tanks, that seem well cared for. There's signage reminding customers that fish are living creatures and it feels very ethically run. They won't sell you a fish without asking about your tank set up. They always have beautiful Bettas and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a betta from these chaps. Very well cared for. They stock tropical and cold water fish along with snails and shrimp. There's a good selection of plants for both ponds and tanks here. Good range of tanks in all sizes, some with and cabinets, and some really nice starter sets. You can buy your heaters here and they stock mechanical and biological filters. There's decor from resin ornaments to wood, to almond leaves (really good value, much cheaper than other sellers) to lotus pods. They also stock live foods as well as pellets and flakes. Good place to get betta food. Absolutely recommend.

Went yesterday to get a couple of things for my aquarium. The lady I asked for advice about sinking wood in the tank was very helpful. I had my previous 4ft tank and stand from here years ago. I was a swordtail keeper at the time with that tank. They have a range of different fish including tropical and cold water. They also sell different types of koi too.

Always really helpful instore, good selection of products too. I've been buying from Byrkley for over two years now and haven't had a bad experience yet!

Such a change, so helpful. My water pump had stopped working. I called and Maureen said it may only need cleaning and to pop in. If not they could order the same model for me. I went in, Claire and Dawn cleaned it, tested it and I wasn't charged. It made my day. Other websites were confusing and I wasn't able to speak to anyone who actually wanted to help me. I will definitely go back. Excellent service, so knowledgeable and helpful.

The staff in the shop are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They have gone above and beyond to help me set up my tank and also maintain/correct any issues I have come across. They even kept the store open later so I could sort out a filter issue. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

The team are very friendly and welcoming. Very helpful, knowledgable and are willing to go that extra mile to help you. All livestock look very healthy and they stock a very good variety.

We have been using this aquatic shop for quite some time now it’s a hidden gem in a really nice garden centre. Family run and it shows with the care and attention they put into it. Have brought many tanks and fish from them and will continue to do so.The last one being one of there ex display tanks which I couldn’t pass up. Also if your looking for quality angle fish you definitely need to go and see them all bred in-house ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have used Byrkley Aquatics as my lfs for a few years now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! The staff are so lovely and kind and there is always someone to help. Their fish are top quality and they have a wide variety with new stock in every week especially aquatic and pond plants. They offer free water tests and are very informative and open to any questions you have. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

I’ve been very impressed with the stock and plants from here, lovely range of both. Beautiful Bettas and great advice for their care, fish are very healthy as are the plants. Lovely range of tanks and accessories as well. I will defo be back! So glad we happens across them by chance!

Great place to go for our tropical fish, Staff very knowledgeable and helpful, Always friendly with a smile on there faces. Never had any problems with the fish we have brought from there and they are a excellent place to go for Betta as well, We have two we purchased from there and ninty percent of our community tank as come from there. Always enjoy our visits there.

We bought our first fish tank from Byrkley Aquatics over 4 years ago. The staff were so helpful and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. We continue to visit regularly and always come away with new fish or plants and a bit more advise. Excellent service and always with a smile 😃 highly recommend

Very knowledgeable friendly family run business I’ve been going there for over 20 years always get what I needed with no problem whatsoever at reasonable prices. Very healthy fish which is always been there number one priority. Had these 4 turtles for nearly 20 years now Berkeley Aquatics this is their fourth home and have grown fully they live for 50 years.

Been coming to byrkley aquatics since I was a little girl with my uncle. At least 30 years!Herbert and Maureen always made it a amazing place for me growing up from helping breeding my own fish and keeping fish in general. Now it’s so lovely to bring my own daughter and do the same with her. There’s something special about setting up a tank and the wait for when can put your fish in. If have any problems they have always been there to help . Things are changing within the fish keeping world and byrkley aquatics are definitely keeping up. Thanks for everything over the years and sure there will be many more 👍🐠🐟

Got to say, I was extremely impressed with this little aquatics shop. It is not local to me, but it was a great find within the Byrkley Garden Centre. They are very much focussed on Bettas (they do stock other fish!) and they have some fantastic specimens. I walked away with 5 females. This was 5 months ago and my sorority is doing great! They fit a lot in to a small space. Combined with their obvious enthusiasm for the hobby and knowledge, it is an absolute gem of a place. If you are in to Bettas it is definitely worth a look.

Decent sized garden centre & cafe but usually shop here for tropical fish, good selection, fair prices, decent sized shop with tanks, accessories & food. Remote location but good sized free car-park

WOW, what an excellent experience. Helpful, informative and a pleasure to deal with. What impressed me the most was, the fact that I was asked what size my pond was and what was already in there, before I made my purchase, ensuring I didn't over stock. Never been to Byrkley Park before, but I plan to take my Wife there shopping, even though it is not on our doorstep.

The owners and their daughter know their stuff. Really helpful I don't usually go anywhere else unless I'm looking for something specific and I normally message them on Facebook first anyway.
