I’m afraid I’ve had enough of Specsavers. After spending over £300 on some Varifocal glasses under the assurances (by staff) that I would receive a second pair free I am now told that I will have to pay another £55! No matter what you say in reply Specsavers this was not made clear to me at the time of ordering. Also when I telephoned, the member of staff was continually talking over me - The customer! I shall pay my £55 but will be going elsewhere in the future…… Specsavers not what they were. I have had glasses all my life. Update after reply from Specsavers: After a 5 minute produced letter from the Branch to ‘tick a box’, it has confirmed my lack of faith in Specsavers!!! What a waste of time - Goodbye Specsavers!

Used to be good and reliable, but on the last 2 occasions 2019 and now they just cannot get my prescription correct. Previously it took 3 attempts and 2 eye tests and numerous visits for adjustments at a cost to me. Speed is not one of the things they give, on my latest visit to collect my glasses, they glasses were not correct, vision was blurry in one eye. I was told someone would be with me in 2 minutes, 20 minutes later, I asked and was told they would not be long. I hung on for a short while, then after having waited too long, I asked the manager for my money back and and now I am going elsewhere. Disappointed for the last time.

Went today to the crystal peaks branch. Upstairs was very good no problems . Went downstairs the lady I happened to get to help me was rude , didn't explain anything . I was led to believe it was two for one and I also have an exemption certificate. She proceeded to tell me my bill would be £268 for one pair of £69 frames .. I said no Thankyou and left I will go somewhere cheaper and get new frames . I will certainly not go back

Went for a pair of verifocals to help with driving and seeing my sat nav. I ended up with two pairs, for the price I expected to pay for one. They helped me make good choices and I love the glasses. Really pleased with the service, the care, and the glasses.

Just ordered my new glasses from there. I must comment that the staff are really friendly and professional. On my first I was greeted by Joy then when I ordered my glasses it was Cara. She was a lovely lady talked me through my new glasses and options. No problem she is a credit to the company. Well done.

Collected my new glasses recently from Crystal peaks branch, on trying them I found the lenses weren't quite right. The staff were very helpful and in stepped Kirstie who was so professional and was determined to get them sorted for me. A few weeks later I had them back and they were fine. She made sure I was totally happy and was brilliant to deal with.

Should have gone to SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! I Was referred here by NHS 111 as I had eye pain and head aches from potential laser damage. I went in thinking I would be taken care of!! The doctor told me the service is free and as I rang to book ,the lady confirmed it will be free except there is a £10 charge for an eye test because I am not on benefits . I went to my appointment they stuck my head in a few machines took some pics etc ..everyone seemed friendly until …a person called Rayhan called me into his room , no smile, no greeting… with a stern face asked me what’s wrong.. I explained and he said you’re going to have to pay for this. I politely explained the doctor said it would be free and he replied THATS MY DECISION (while starting me out)!!! He spoke down to me as he said it . Was really cold and rude. I felt really uncomfortable.Usually opticians are polite, helpful and friendly everything he’s not. I thought even if it’s £2 I’m not paying a penny to someone who’s rude . So I got up and left complained to the manager . She was not friendly either but she did apologise and offered me an appointment with the director . She asked if I’m on benefits … I said no … she said ok then you would have to pay £26. I said rayhan never asked if I’m benefits he told me it’s his DECISION! Does his dad own spec savers???! Different prices from different staff …. . Your just a business to them! I called nhs again they gave me another location Robert Hughes Eyecare in woodhouse . He was fully booked but saw me immediately as an emergancy! The venue was very clean, professional, welcoming. He ran several tests, machines/pics, including and eye tests etc. explained in great detail including diagrams about the damage he found. He was very informative . I felt very comfortable and happy with his service. I then asked if I had to pay anything . He said no its all free!! So thank you very much Specsavers bunch of SCAMMERS . Now go teach rayhan a lesson in customer service . I learnt a lesson … how important it is to support local and independent businesses.

Absolutely rubbish service. Turned up 10 minutes before my appointment time. Went through my preliminaries and told to take a seat and wait. 45 minutes later I still had not been seen and people who arrived after me were shown straight in. I had to leave to get back to work. When I told the bloke on the desk that I was leaving there was no apology or explanation just that my details were with one of his colleagues. I Will go somewhere else where they can manage their queues properly.

Went today to collect glasses after waiting a week for them to be incorrect and requested I waited another 3 days to sort it.... Would never use Crystal Peaks Specsavers again. Incompetent is the only way to explain it got a full refund no compensation for a wasted trip..... Never again.

I had a visual field test to renew my driving license, due to glaucoma, before Christmas and had to wait till mid January for the results. It took the edge off Christmas. When I had the same test in 2021 the optician told me straight away before I left Specsavers. That was a much better experience than this time.

Quick and efficient service, staff are very friendly and most helpful. I can't fault them, and I assure you If I'd got something to moan about I would. Why someone moans about having to wait is ridiculous, I didn't, even if I did, I wouldn't complain about it.

I had an eye test today at Specsavers Crystal Peaks. The service was very quick and effective. The optometrist Rayhan was very knowledgeable, and gave me an excellent service. He explained the process really well and made me feel very comfortable. Also, another mention for Clayton, who also provided excellent service. He helped me a lot whilst choosing my glasses. Both of these individuals are great credits to Specsavers. I thank them a lot, and I am very appreciative to have been helped by them!

The service is efficient and the staff are knowledgeable etc, but the premise needs urgent updating as the chairs were dirty with marks I seriously wasn’t sure I could sit on them

Poor communication and cancelled my lensmail. Recently found out specsavers operate as franchises too making their communication between other branches even worse… i have chosen to move from this branches and restart my lensmail with the other branch.

took 2:15 hrs for a eye test, was possibly the slowest customer service i have had all year. and then the glasses cost over £200 planning on trying out other opticians that actually care about if customers are waiting ages.

Not only do they keep you waiting the service is hopeless. The first time my wife went to collect her glasses she had to wait nearly an hour. After a month the lens fell out so she had to go back to have them fixed - waited 20 minutes for this to be done. This time after 5 months she went back because vision seemed blurred and was told they were not busy so she could be seen straight away but still waited 15 minutes to be served when they said she would have to pay for an eye retest at £21.

Booked online, seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time of 9am and had a very professional experience. I always go here for my check-up and they never disappoint.

I have had new lenses made for my daytime glasses as the variafocal lenses supplied by specsavers are 2 different ones in my sunglasses and normal glasses. They have informed me they have now arrived and are ready for fitting. They can't fit them for 5 days!!!....Pathetic.. its definitely the last time I will use specsavers ....

I went in for prescription safety glasses for work and was served by Clayton, who very friendly and helpful. He clearly knew a lot about the different products available which made it easier for me to choose.

I've just been to your crystal peaks sheffield branch & received excellent service from Joy, totally different from yesterday at the moor sheffield where the young assistant so obviously didn't want to serve me & I ended up walking out in frustration (why don't young people listen, it was like I was talking in a foreign language) It was a pleasure to deal with someone who obviously knew what she was talking about & didn't treat me like an idiot because I'm older. Joy by name & Joy by nature, no faff, no bother. Excellent service

I’ve used Specsavers for year’s and I’ve never had a problem with any of my glasses I have to have eye tests every 6Months this time however my glasses didn’t fit right I went back the gentleman said he would shorten the arms so they wouldn’t stick out so much after adjusting the fitting he made them sit wonky and dig into my face. I went back again the lovely woman couldn’t understand why anyone should cut arms off glasses and saw straight away what was wrong with my glasses she adjusted them and said she’d put my nose pads the other way round. Tomorrow I’m going back again none of the varifocal parts of the lenses match up so I keep having to lift my glasses up to be able to read books on my iPad mini which is all i use it for being able to adjust the font size. Sorry Specsavers about my negative comment I’m just so upset about paying hundreds of pounds for glasses that are no good for me. I’m using my old ones till I get them sorted Personally I’m going to ask for a new pair as these are ruined 😠

Absolutely fantastic service from the whole team. I was nervous about getting my eyes tested and was unsure of the procedure as I had avoided it for several years but the final straw was when I had to adjust the font size on my phone. I booked an appointment and was seen within days. The whole experience was relaxed and very informative…. The eyes are just amazing and precious things. When it came to choosing my glasses another member of the team was so calming and professional and just gave me all the time in the world to chose. I was offered bifocals and when this was explained I thought why not let’s give them a go. Well I’m pleased to say they have been a game changer and I have now got a second pair. Amazing staff, amazing glasses just amazing.
